I made an appointment for just a simple oil change. I made the appointment due to covid and having to bring my baby with me to get this done. It took over and hour to get the oil changed. I was frustrated I had to wait so long when there were people who were coming in without appointments. To me...what was the point in making an appointment? I scheduled this so I could get it done fast and not have my baby out long during a pandemic. I don t have family around so I didn t have a choice. I had to bring him.

I worked with Josie to buy a new vehicle and she was wonderful! She was helpful in finding what we wanted and needed and didn't push at all. One of the financial people wouldn't take no for an answer and it became frustrating after being there for so long and being talked down to. We almost walked away but Josie and the service department workers have been so great to all of us that we didn't want one bad seed to ruin the "experience" for us!

I went into the dealership for what I was told would be a 1 hour repair on the hood of my car. It took 3 mechanics 2.5 hours to open the hood of my car to make the repair, even though I d just opened my hood to fill my wiper fluid the weekend prior. I ended up stuck at the dealership for 3 hours total, did receive updates on my car until after the first hour or so and ended up paying $500 total for the experience.

This is my fifth car i have purchased from this dealership. There were some confusing minor glitches with the followup on picking up the car but overall, the experience was okay. The folks here work with you and get you into the vehicle you want with a minimum of sales pressure and they are honest folks.

Then took to local small town shop - t-stat (34.76) - Sept belt ($29.87) - 1 qt ant. frez ($3.00) - labor ($80.00)..saved $200 by not using Schottenkirk .....pricing gouge.....terrible customer service -
Overall 5-star experience! I am writing this review ONE and a half year after I bought a camaro from Shottenkirk Chevrolet. Today I look back to the purchase price and the finance deal, they are still great! I got a huge discount+rebate on a (new) camaro meets every option I required. The finance structure they help me with are still holding positive equity today. They helped me with a fantastic interest rate (I was an international student so working on a good finance deal can be difficult, some dealerships straight doesn't offer finance to non-US citizen). Now I have better income and credit history, I tried several refinance and none of them can beat the original rate from Shottenkirk Chevrolet. All in all, they work hard and efficient on getting the best deal for customers. Hands down the best flagship dealership I dealt with in the mid-west. Definitely recommend anyone looking for a GM vehicle give them a try.

App a month ago Kim had recieved a warning for not having a front plate on his Vet that he had bought from Shottenkirk Chevrolet. We went to Shottenkirk and ask the salesman if he could help us get a plate holder since we live in a state where it is the law to have front & back plates. The saleman went and talked to someone. Returned and told us they wouldn't help us BUT Kim could purchase one from the parts dept. Anyways long story short.. Kim recieved a letter this last week from Sottenkirk stating they have exceptional customer service. We didn't agree the letter. Since Kim spent alot of money at Shottenkirk and they wouldn't put a plate holder on his Vet. I shot off the Very Unhappy E-mail to them. Kim recieved a call with in minutes of me sending the e-mail, from a very concerned Sales Consultant Jason Guisinger that Kim was unhappy. Jason listened to Kims concerns with it being a Iowa law. Jason told that if we'd bring the Vet into Shottenkirk that they would put a plate holder on the front of his Vet.We took the Vet into Shotttenkirk this last Monday and Jason met us at the door with a hand shake and told us he was sorry for what happened & Shottenkirk would take care of it. Which they did. NOW that is Exceptional Customer Service. Shottenkirk , Jason Is A Exceptional Sales Consultant. And Because of his caring that Kim was unhappy with what happened and took care of it. Mike Lewis was exceptional!!! I recommend specifically asking for Mike Lewis for any car buying needs! This was the first time I have ever actually enjoyed a car buying experience, and I will never buy from (or even talk to) another sales person again. Mike has well earned my repeat business. He didn't push any sales onto me, I didn't feel pressured, he was very informative and personable, and helped me to get into the exact car I was looking for, and for a great price!!! We had our first experience with Shottenkirk Chevrolet in Feb. 2011. We purchased a new Chevy Equinox. We love this vehicle and all of its features. Jason W. did a great job working with us for on meeting our budget. Last night we went back to Shottenkirk to look for another new car. We walked out with leasing a 2012 Chevy Cruse. Again our budget needs we met and Scott was very informative on the leasing program. We now have 2 new cars which were purchased at one dealership. Good experience both times and highly recommend!

I had a very good experience at shottenkirk in waukee. I have a very specific budget and wants - Randy, Andrew, and Colin worked very hard to try to work out a deal. And even without money to put down they still treated me as if I was already a valued customer. I will be getting my next vehicle from this dealership! If you want a new chevy this is a place you want to check out, I drove an hour twice and was not disappointed in the effort they put in.

We viewed the lot on a Sunday and walked in Monday and purchased a used Chevy Malibu. It was very straightforward. We walked in at noon and walked out right before 4. The staff was kind enough to let my wife take the car for the majority of the morning to just get a feel for it. It was no hassle when buying the car. You could tell Josie had a good report with customers as many walked in to say "hi" or to give her updates on certain items. That shows me the "small town" feel and how it's essentially family. The dealership is not a bad size and in the inside is open and comfortable. The finance guys were very imformative. They pushed a little at the end for us to add some coverage but we declined. Went there on May 11, just to look at a used Tesla they have. My experience there was amazing. Chanze helped out a lot, and even though he didn't know too much about the used Tesla, he made sure to try to help answer any questions I had to the best of his ability. Very honest, which all sales people should be! Justin was another person who helped out with answering questions, and getting info about the car. And can't forget Matt and Mike from finance! We have always been a Ford family. We stopped at Shottenkirk to look at a van we had viewed on line. It was clear early on, that customer satisfaction is a priority at the store. They listened to our needs, and our wants. They presented us with options and were very clear in their explanations. We have had dealings with many dealerships in town and have often been mislead and let down. That was not the case here. Griffin and Paul were great! They were very patient. Griffin was the last to leave. We decided to make a purchase at the end of a long day. They took care of paperwork, detailing, and setting everything up. In comparison, Karl has all the vehicles unlocked with the keys in them. Pulled in and was greeted by a nice salesman and after asking about my needs we was test driving a vehicle in 5 minutes. I had a 2016 Malibu from Shottenkirk, which was totaled when another driver ran a red light. I had the car for only about a year. When I informed them of this, they were able to roll me into a new 2017 Malibu in less than a day, with zero hassle.
