Transmission went out 5 months after I bought the truck and took it in to get it fixed. When I got the truck back the new transmission was worse than before. Took it back in to get it fixed again and I was told it would take 2 days and now it s been over a week and they said they don t even have the new transmission yet. They keep making false promises in when my truck will be done.

Did the app on line for approval, came in and spoke with tifinay Kilgore. Took about 2 hours and we where on our way with a new car. Shottenkirk is amazing from the time you walk in intell you leave and then their their for you for all your service needs. They treat me right.
Shottenkirk kept working with me to get my car check engine light to stay off. I had access to a lovely rental car. Though it took several return trips to the dealership I never felt that unwelcome when I asked for their help.

After some of the worse service I have ever had with one of the other dealers in town, Shottenkirk is breath of fresh air. I worked Mike Lewis, a fantastic sales men, on a new Silverado. I told him what I was looking for and its exactly what I got. I would recommend Shottenkirk to anyone and Mike above the rest. Just wonderful service all around.

Very bad experience with shottenkirk Chevrolet in waukee. Bought a motorcycle from them had it for one month. Rode it less than 500 miles and the engine blew up. I called and asked if they would help out with the bill they said no there was nothing they can do. I haven't even made my first payment on it. Will never do business with them again!

I ve Been having the same issue with my radio for a few months now. I Have basically been told that I just have to deal with it at this point. This last time I came in the technician was very rude to me and made me feel as if my problem doesn t matter and that I m just basically complaining for fun as if I enjoy having this issue with my car. I have never leased a car before and figured this would be the best bet for me since if I did have any issues they would fix the them. Wow was I wrong. I will probably never come back to this dealership after my lease is up from this whole experience honestly. I know it may not matter to them as I m just one person and they are a large dealership but I will definitely let everyone I know about my experience and how my issue is unimportant to them. It freezes completely sometimes not allowing me to even use the screen sometimes or it doesn t allow me to use my Bluetooth with my cellphone without disconnecting and reconnecting. The technician basically blamed it begin my phone even though my girlfriends phone does the same thing and any other Equinox I ve been in I ve never had or heard of this issue. I have made multiple videos showing the issue to them trying to help them as it does several other weird issues and they still just really don t care honestly but since it don t perform the issue when I bring the car In to get looked at since it only randomly does this issue not constantly. I m basically just complaining in their eyes. I would understand if the radio did this like one or twice like most technology does but begin a brand new car and not even really begin able to use the Bluetooth daily on my phone is really upsetting in my eyes as this is a big feature I use daily. Not only for my personal use but my safety as this allows me to not hold the actual phone but this literally does this at least once a day if not every other it just kinda depends. So since it don t perform the issue when they looked at the car a few times then basically I get the car returned and get told sorry there is nothing we can do it s Chevy or whatever excuse they give like oh it s cause you have a apple phone or they make you feel like I m just annoying and bothering them and wasting their time. I recently had a issue with my tire. I accidentally hit a pot hole causing the tire to be ruined. When I leased the vehicle out I got this added protection as a part of my monthly payment. When I went into the dealership the next day I was told that expired the first year of the lease even though there was no mention of this program begin on a timeline and as I m still paying them as apart of my monthly payment after the first year. So it didn t make sense to me that I would be still paying this as a part of my monthly payment but the tires weren t covered? Anyways luckily the guy sitting next to where I was begin helped so no tires are covered . Luckily he said something or I probably would have had to pay out of pocket for something i thought should be covered. It s not the first time I ve had work done on my car and they won t give me my keys back cause they thought I owed them money but after they got ahold of someone again it was covered. Just very frustrating and unsettling not knowing what s gonna pop up saying I owe them money for something I m thinking should be covered especially when your new to this whole leasing process really makes you not wanna come back or lease with them again. Still to this day I m unsure and don t really know what is and isn t covered with the program I m on and the whole reason I signed and got the car that day was cause they made me feel like those things would be covered and I would have to worry but then after they got you signed and are getting your money it s a whole other story. I was wanting to purchase the Vehicle after the end of my lease but with this issue and my whole experience that will definitely not be happening at this point!

I purchased my new Chevy Avalanche last Nov. 2012. I traded in my pickup truck and they changed out the original wheels on my Avalanche to chrome sporty wheels after spotting them on another vehicle. I have been out there a couple of time, and they run my truck through there car wash. Jason Waite, goes above and beyond his normal job. Doug DeYarman/owner, is extremely friendly and makes a point on introducing himself to everyone and asks lots of personal/family questions to get to know who you are. He never forgets what college you graduated from or what football team you root for. The dealership is amazingly comfortable as well while waiting. I highly recommend going out there to see what deal they will make! They want your business and will probably beat their competitors deal.

My car purchase was changed on me, I lost a lot of things that I thought would still be on the different car. I have a lame radio and no remote start. I have no idea how to get the XM going on it, I had a salesman (one of mine) sit in car and try to get going for a few minutes then informed me that he had an appointment with someone else. Survey says FAILED....

Car buying experience made easy! Everything was great until about 3 months in to owning my car. It started making a grinding sound every time I'd brake. When I took it in I was told it was just dust build up and they would clean it off. The sound continued and I took it back in to be checked out again. What's funny is the noise is coming from the rear and I was told my front rotors needed to be replaced, even though when I bought my car I was told the brakes and rotors were new and didn't need to be replaced any time soon. I however, replaced the rotors to be safe. My car continues to make the same grinding sound when I brake and now my brakes are squeaky too. After 3 visits to the service center and no solution that doesn't drain my bank, I've decided I'll take my business elsewhere for maintenance upkeep and I will never purchase another vehicle here again. The worst part is I wasted money on an advantage plan to service my car here and now I'm out that money because I can't trust that my car will be fixed as needed. Not good business :(
Always friendly prompt service. I trust them. I went to the service area for low tire pressure and added a recommended service for my brake fluid, it was in need. They always wash your vechicle or give you a voucher in incliment weather. They have a comfortable waiting area with a big TV, children's play area, a snack and drink machine (takes credit cards), stations to set up a laptop and free wifi. Beautiful show room, with no pressure sales personale.
Boomer in finance, Shawn the sales manager and Griffin from sales were outstanding at helping us find the best possible car at the best possible price. They were so patient with all of our questions and reassured us every step of the way. So glad we decided to come here and as an extra, the buyer was referred and there is a referral bonus! The entire team was so accommodating of our constraints with time and budget and stayed past closing to close the deal! They found a car that met all of our needs for the right monthly payment. I was asked to write a review by the sales manager, which I promised that I would do. I did not promise that I would do it right away though. All things considered I had my car picked out prior to going out the door of my house and I was ready for my average experience with dealership. I have purchased several new and used cars in my life from dealerships and non of them were any more eventful than buying a car on craigslist. This was different. I was blown away by the amount of positive customer service that I received from all the staff. I was introduced by name to almost everyone in the building. It was truly a great experience. I held off on the review because I wanted to wait on the stability of the car. It is a certified used Chevy Volt, and it has been a great car, and with the extra protections that Shottenkirk offers I can rest assured that it will stay that way.

Whether it's an oil change or a major repair, the service department is always helpful and makes sure I understand whatever it is I need to know about my car. Especially Cory and Joker who work in the service department, both of them have gone above and beyond when repairing my car.
The seating area and show room is also very clean which makes for a pleasant experience while you wait.

Salesman asked what options were a must on the vehicle I was looking for. After which he pulled a truck around for me and the wife to look at that meant none of the criteria lol. Not a great experience.
Recently purchased a 2013 chevy equinox this is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from Josie at shottenkirk and I am always pleased with thier sales department. I get all maintaince done there also they are always quick to get me in and stand by thier warranties. Feels like family!
After a very unpleasant experience at this showroom I took some time to write a review. I wouldn't recommend this showroom on how they treat people. No people skills. Bad customer service.
i was clear from the start that i am very serious about getting a car but i need help comparing 2020 and 2021 car.
Round#1 - They pulled up a 2016 and asked me to look at it for a better price which doesn't make sense to why did they pull that car and i asked for a 2021.
Round#2 - They pulled up a 2021 car which was available but didn't put any effort in helping us go through the specs. manager pushed me to buy this car.
Round#3 - I asked for a specific trim and i really appreciated when they pulled it up. I loved this one and i wanted to test drive it. The guys first words were 'are you going to buy it'. I was confused why would i come to the showroom when its 25degrees outside just to see the car and being asked if i can buy the car. i felt bad on how i was treated. And ultimately didn't even let me drive the car.
Please treat your customers better you'll definitely sell more cars.
We bought our vehicle from your dealership but the experience wasn t great. We then came in for service and were overcharged. After multiple attempts to get this resolved, the representative acknowledged the error and offered to refund us however we have to drive back to the dealership for this. Seems like the dealership should send a check or credit the card without inconveniencing us again. Oh well, keep the $$ and we just won t be back.

I went to Shottenkirk and tried to buy a car. They had a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville listed for 10,000, retailed at 8000, I was thinking no way that car is worth 8000. I asked if I can go look up kelley blue book and the used car manger said no, just make me an offer, he even made me initial my offer which was stupid, so after this long ass sales pitch, during that whole time he was doing his sales pitch, all I could think was he was trying way to hard to get me to buy a car that is way over priced. So I said 3500 and then he said he would be back. When he came back, he said he could not do that because he looked up the value on kelley blue book and that was was at 4600. When I got home to look up the value, it was listed as a fair dealer price of 4000. I haven't bought a used car in 20 years but does that make any sense to ask for a car with that much of a markup? I went to Ford and the used cars they had was not even close to that high of a mark-up. It was a scam at Shottenkirk!!!! What a bunch of crooks they are at Shottenkirk. I would not buy a car from them and if you do decide to go there, beware.
In all of my years of dealing with car dealers, Shottenkirk is by far the easiest and most honest to do business with! They were straight shooters with me the entire time. After I bought my vehicle, they called me a couple of days later and said they forgot to put new tires on it! That's unheard of. Their service department is also efficient and friendly. They will absolutely be my go to dealership for all future purchases!
