Very clean & employees are courteous. This place clearly shows fairness & caters to the public, the dining experience alone is awesome with fresh foods. Also has all necessary handicap facilities & is a comfortable place overall. It also has live music and alcohol if desirable. Fantastic experience!

The buffet area was remodeled and looked nice however the food didn't measure up to our visits in the past.

5 stars...IF they didn't change the price of our room once we got there. I had a conformation screen shot of our reservation $120. But when we arrived, they increased it to $160, and said we could either cancel it or pay up.
Other than that.... everything ok.

You cannot beat the Shooting Star for its variety in gaming entertainment, quality accommodations, friendly service, and great food available 24/7. Kudos to them for an extensive non-smoking slots area! They have added several updates and renovations over the years that I have been a regular customer there. They frequently have top-notch headliner musical shows in a fantastic venue as well. Love, love, love it!

Was a nice casino but could have done more for promo's. They only gave $10 promo for first time card holder. My Ma got an extra $5 for her birthday.

I like that they have a non smoking section. I wish that you could see the entertainment from that section

The hotel is worn out. Pillows were lumpy. Casino area and events center are good. If the remodeled the hotel rooms I would give it 4 stars.

Bus trip planned with 50 others, haven't been in three years. Heard good/bad & some ugly reviews, but we will see.
It's a great group that going, we have shopping plans, and cheap trip.

Enjoyable establishment with options of what you can do to be able to relax and have a good time. Friendly staff to help you if you need something and guide you in the right direction.

I love the free slot play and the slot machines are pretty nice

They change their machine layout for the worse since the last time I've been there. I suspect they tightened up their machines. I say that as a slot technician with a lot of experience and I did not see many people hitting big jackpots actually I only saw one in 2 hours, odd considering the casino was packed. Also although I don't eat seafood I somehow managed to hit their Seafood night for the buffet and it was $30 a pop. OUCH!!

I love the food at the cafe. I got wings with buffalo sauce ,and they was good.

My room had no toilet paper and my bed didn't have a fitted sheet on it, just a flat sheet over the mattress and then another flat sheet before the comforter.

Good place to gamble if into just slots and Blackjack. Drinks seemed reasonable and I've never had a bad dining experience while here. Live Shows are great plus they seem to have a good variety of comedy, music other types of performers. Always best enjoyed with a friend or more. Although the players club is a weak shadow of it's former self. Been going to the Shooting Star since it opened back in 89.

Decided to turn in early and took a shower and got ready for bed. Turned the beds down to dirty sheets on both beds. Started calling to get clean sheets at 10:45, finally got them changed around 12:30 and that was after getting dressed and going down to the front desk. My phone calls fell on deaf ears. Upon checkout the manager gave me a whopping $10 off. Casino was tight but not my complaint. Huge smoking area but small non smoking. In this day and age, more people are non smokers than smokers and they need to start catering to us non smokers as well. Did not eat at "Smoke" after looking at the overpriced menu. Miss the old restaurant that was there. Ate at the buffet and everything was empty. Very slow at getting them filled. Had to keep going back to see if they filled anything. Food was average at best. The young woman in the gift shop was great, very friendly and helpful. Also, the woman who did finally bring us sheets was very nice. She was very frustrated as we were not the only room she had to bring clean sheets to. Seems there is a big problem with the housekeeping staff.

Not crowded and very convenient and inexpensive campground behind the casino.

We went to the 218 restaurant we wait forever ended up going to smoke the food was ok the wife likes the casino

We had difficulties checking into our hotel with our group. Apparently they changed their room holding / credit card auth policy. We were barely given rooms due to being told 2 different things by the front desk and reservation office. Things were more difficult for this reason and the front desk worker was visibly annoyed and unhelpful. I wish I had remembered her name. Anyways we were placed in the farthest rooms. Not sure if this was deliberate. We were attending a conference. The food wasnt great. It was edible but flavorless. They need to have a McDonalds restaurant in their casino. I wouldve prefered that greasy food to what we were served. You can tell that the cooks tried to do well. But a little spice can go a long way. The conference rooms were nice and there was lots of space for the vendors. However they seemed to have gotten rid of their couches. I think the 1 couch they have is in the lobby and is some weird concave couch setup so you feel like your invading other people's privacy and space. As you can tell, this is not my fav casino and would rather go somewhere else.

This casino is in need of a refresh, especially the rooms. Not much has changed in 20 years.

Rooms are clean. Our tv didn't work. Breakfast was ok.

Way over priced rooms. Not even any soap or toiletries in room.coffee machine in room but no coffee cups. Bed cover was all white, but was major yellowed in middle. This place was as basic, it makes motel 6 look top shelf.

I have been to this casino many many times. Machines are super tight for us. Food service is nothing to rave about it's actually terrible. Good luck!

Food tasted like hospital food in the traditions buffet. The cook walked out of the bathroom without washing there hands. Some of the food was almost like pureed consistency. Little spendy for the quality of food.

Music and a Carmel roll coffee makes for a great relaxing time.

The standard rooms are basically just like a super 8. The internet worked some of the time. The casino is ok. The smoking and non smoking sides are not physically separate, it's just open air. We tried the bbq restaurant and it was ok. Of course everything is over priced because it's a casino.

Incredible food. Smoking is still very uncomfortable to surrounded by. Too bad it is allowed.

Ordered supper from smoke went to room our order was wrong also no ketchup, sourcream ,butter which we wouldn't of needed if we had our right order but watched the employees walk out with big bags of food called front desk told me I could go to delli and was told we could go there get what we needed great we are in stardust corner and it's pouring rain thanks so helpful

Campground is small in size but big in space, close to the hotel with all the amenities.

We confirmed our reservation 3 times and they still got it wrong. And it was for our wedding. Unbelievable. We had $4000 worth of reservations and I'm so glad they will be never getting our business anymore.

Rooms are updated. Little spendy during the week. Have liquid soap in bathroom. tub is hot. Swimming pool area has updated chairs and updated restaurants. Slots are ok.

You ain't going to win any money here I'll tell you that. And the food wasn't that impressive either.

Don't expect to get any type of customer service. If you have any kind of issue with billing or your room, the front desk people won't care and are incompetent with their jobs. One manager will say one thing... The next manager will say another. Then they will
Charge you unexpectedly.. A day after the incident had been settled. (Misunderstanding about their pet policy) Then they will give you a phone number to a manager which you will call and call ...leave messages with no return. I

The room pool and hot tub and the casino are very clean and a nice place to stay. The buffet is great too .

The food was okay but the bar near the restaurant while we were waiting for it to open was the worst service ever I had seen everyone had to wait for ever to get service

Worst food I ever had in my life nice people in all but they had a fire the whole kitchen group it take good food and make it taste worse nobody knows how to handle with neither

Great place for a quick getaway. Must be over 21 to gamble. 3 nice restaurants to choose from. Large pool and hot tub.

Great place for a convention! Only ate at the cafe, fair price for the food. Sweet potato waffle fries are tasty. Hotel in the back feels like a Super8 but the other ones are better.

Nice rooms. We had a good time for our anniversary and had a free room plus $5 cash and 10 off food.
Here it is a year later & I am revamping my review a bit. My partners rewards are WAY more than mine even tho we play the same amount & I don't understand how they figure it up. I get 4 times the rewards at Dakota Magic and I've only been there approx. 5 times. Payouts seem less in 2019.

New restaurant was impressive. Slots are always pretty tight but ok atmosphere..

Room we stayed in was not clean. Blood on pillow, bic razor in shower and globs of hair hanging in shower. Hair all over the bedding. Used laundry bag hung up. Dried up spills on the dresser. So gross. Management told me I should have called and could have been moved. I told her I was told there was no rooms left. No apology for a filthy room. $20 off and she acted like it was our fault. I showed her the pictures I took of these issues. She said we could have tried to get new sheets! Ummm a bloody pillow!? Its a unclean room! GROSS not happy with how we were treated. Horrible all around. Beware

Solid place, ate there and drank, good atmosphere. Not great for people who don't like smoke, but all and all as good as casinos get around the area.

Nice place but the room I stayed in was not good. Half the lights were burnt out then there was dried food on the covers on the bed. And the non smoking room was covered with the smell of smoke
