On 2nd floor. No double glazing in rooms, so noise from people in the pool very loud, and if yr trying to sleep - impossible. Staff on front desk hopeless to accommodate. Restaurant - waited over an hour to get my soup delivered, finally asked why, where is it, then got it 5 minutes later. Not impressed at all for the money being paid!!@

This place is awesome. The lady that greets you in your car as you pull up to the hotel was super nice and friendly. All the staff was really nice and friendly and the hotel was kept very clean. The hot tubs we're amazing and the location of the hotel was great. Amazing restaurant within walking distance and they offer a free shuttle to downtown. Can't wait to come back for another weekend

This was our 2nd time to stay here. Both have been very enjoyable. My only gripe is that bottom level parking garage. If you get stuck down there, which everyone will at some point, you ve got a flight of 20 stairs to deal with. This should really be no problem unless you have bad knees and/or you ve got luggage. Then, it becomes a real problem.

The staff is great, very courteous and friendly, extremely helpful, and the rooms nice and comfortable.

Best location for ski in ski out definitely!!! Has newly remodeled rooms we stayed at a two bedroom suite that was really pretty terrific!!!! We got upgraded and didn't need the extra room but it was lovely would highly recommend staying at the Sheraton at the base of Steamboat Springs!!

The hotel is located right at the ski slope. There are several restaurants within a short walk-all with outdoor seating. Little stream for the kids to play in. Outdoor pool opened limited hours with reservations.

We booked on line and the reservation was accurate when we arrived. The front desk staff was excellent. The common areas and room were very clean. Underground parking (charge).

Our room was a suite with a little kitchenette and a real treat- a washer and dryer! Bed was comfortable. Lighting could be improved as well as outlet placement.

I usually stayed here all the time when visiting family in Steamboat Springs. The service was always good. I usually stayed in the condos. Most of the time, I would be away from the hotel all day and return late at night, so I very seldom hung around the hotel. For the minimal hours I was at the hotel, the experience was always good.

The only downside...not really a big deal...would be checking out. I usually checked out around 2:30 - 3:00 am and there were times no one was at the front desk, but either way, the service was always good.

I no longer go to Steamboat Springs, but I'm a little concerned how the Starwood system works now as a Marriott.

A destination resort in a perfect location (steps from the slopes... literally), doesn't necessarily have to offer a great product. But, The Sheraton Steamboat surprises, no amazes, at every turn. Great service from a very attentive staff, great rooms, great food, coupled with the great views and perfect location. They have managed to take a 4 star property and turn it into a 5 star experience.

Stayed here early Dec 2015. Had an amazing weekend and this location was the perfect place to hop on and off the lifts. Hotel was clean and staff was helpful. Ski Shop located in the basement made for easy purchase of any last minute items, though be prepared to pay.

Not forewarned we would go an entire day without power or hot water or the amount of daily maintenance activity we experienced. We fully understand the facility requires upgrade and attention, but don t understand why we weren t advised of the situation upon booking. We also understand we booked off season and it makes sense to do any maintenance during this period, but again firmly believe this is something that needs to be communicated up front.

I really wanted to like this resort. We only stayed one night after spending a week in a little cabin in the mountains. But had our stay been booked for longer, I would have simply eaten the early departure fee and left anyways. The absolute, most basic thing you expect from a hotel is a good night's sleep. The second thing is genuine hospitality. I got none of the first, and little of the second. First off, check out is early - 10am. For the rates they charge, they're not putting much money back into staffing if they have to boot out their guests that early to turn over the room. Second, the bed was like a concrete slab. I could feel the springs digging into my hips. I'll be feeling this pain for days. I mentioned it to the woman who checked us out, and she seemed she couldn't care less. I've worked in hospitality for a long time, and I have never just blown off a complaint like that. The rest of the furniture in our suite is obviously designed for looks and not comfort. The sofa was rock hard as well. I did enjoy the rooftop spa, but could have used it more the following morning. It didn't open until check out time, though.

I went here for dinner the night before the marathon in June. It was by far the WORST meal I have ever had. The server told us probably 15 times how she "just want[ed] to go home" and the bar tender and manager sat and counted their money without paying us any attention even though we were one of two tables at the restaurant that evening. The food took over an hour to get to us, drinks were forgotten completely even after being reminded on multiple occasions, and the food was less then mediocre. A 10-year-old could have made pasta as good as theirs, slightly overcooked and soaked in an inedible sauce. All in all, I will never return here for dinner. Very disappointed.

I had looked around at various properties when planning a nice Labor Day weekend getaway for my wife and me and finally just looked up Marriott properties since I have a Bonvoy membership.

This was one of the choices and I had already seen it on Expedia.

I actually got better pricing by booking direct.

From check-in to check-out we were very impressed with the property, the accommodations and the staff.

We were greeted promptly by a valet as we pulled up who immediately also grabbed a luggage cart and started loading it.

He showed us to the front desk where we were told that our room had been upgraded to a two-bedroom unit. Nice. We didn t need the other bedroom, but the additional space was nice and the second bathroom didn t hurt.

The room was very nice. It was well-cleaned and appointed. It would be easy to stay here for a week or more.

The bed and amenities were great. We decided to order a movie one evening and the process was very smooth.

We didn t get the chance to make use of the pool or hot tubs, but we did check out the areas and they were very well kempt.

The concierge was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Check-out was a breeze.

We will definitely be back.

I believe this would be a 5 star Hotel when restaurants were open and construction was not disrupting services. Lost both hot water and internet for a brief time, but services were restored promptly. Also, false fire alarms keep going off. Rooms are very large and has all the conveniences of home. Views are great, but my room was not on the best view side, but had very nice double balcony not on rooms on view side. Best part was air conditioning in a mountain resort which is rare. Really no perks for Titanium guest, but seems all resorts in Marriott have this out which is concening. The staff was friendly, personable, and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here, but not curruntly when restaurants are closed and construction going on. I hope to come back when restaurants are open and services more stable. Finally, hot tubes opening at 10 am is great maybe in winter, but horrible in summer since I like to get up early to enjoy them while it is cool and no noise. Hope they can roll this back to 6 or 7 am. Finally, no stay or points were posted to Marriott. I had to call Marriott and loose my green choice points in the process. Very disappointed with all the time I have to take to get this done. After staying at Sheraton Villas in Avon and getting roasted with no air conditioning decided to up this place to 4 stars for air.

Awesome hotel, top location. Very good service and polite staff. The rooms are big and clean. The hotel is renovated so everything is new. There are many shops, bars, restaurants and ski lifts within walking distance. Free shuttle service to downtown Steamboat Springs and some other places.

Quiet and clean. Made reservation for the fitness center and lots of openings, granted we were there off-season. Easy parking $20 a night. Check in was slow and painful, but patience is not my virtue! Recommend.

Very nice, updated rooms, with everything you need to have a relaxing stay. The resort staff was very polite and helpful. They upgraded our room type for free, which was an excellent bonus. Terrific amenities, including a set of hot tubs on the rooftop (9th floor,I think).

This is a fantastic spot to stay and soak up the Steamboat experience. Rooms are nice and they recently renovated the lobby to make it more timeshare friendly. They added an overpriced store but, still a lot less expensive than going out. Nice option when you are tired after a long day. Friendly staff and best location to just walk out and ski. The renovated bar is also quite nice. Finally, underground parking but, not for SUV's with racks. Ask about the commentary self park if you don't fit.

Friendly and helpful staff made our stay very wonderful. We were given an upgrade to our accommodations without solicitation. The facility is updated nicely compared to surrounding lodgings.

My wife and I decided to have a quick get away up in Steamboat Springs and stayed at the Sheraton.....From the moment we stepped into the lobby to check in after a long day of hiking, to when we checked out the following day, there was not one thing to dislike. From the service we received from Austin, the amenities of the room, the views, the cleanliness of the lobby as well as our room, the modern decor, all was above our expectations. The next time we are in town(can't be here soon enough), we will not consider staying anywhere else!

Gorgeous views and amazing service. The rooms are fantastic and the amenities leave little to be desired in the best way. I loved the art and decor. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants within walking distance as well as a free shuttle to town that is perfect if you don't have a car or want to drink. Loved our visit!!

I certainly hope the customer service on site is better than the service I have received over the phone trying to confirm my reservation. Based on the way the gal at the front desk treated me it certainly doesn't seem like my business is wanted. I will be sure to update this review after my stay at the resort.
Edit: we had a really great stay. Can't let one sour grape ruin the whole bunch!

Loved my stay at this resort, there is a mountain just outside that can be hiked every morning in the summer, or skied in the winter. They had a few food choices right on site, and the bus stops just outside the hotel to take you downtown. About 3/4 of the mile down the road there is a huge Walmart shopping center with anything you could be looking for, but if you are there to stay I would suggest shopping small as the shops in town are cute and everyone is friendly!

great for ski in ski out. some of facility is dated but you can't beat the location. lots of restaurant options surrounding. i heard it is turning into a condo facility after this yr (private use only).

We have a room with a spectacular view of the ski runs, the pool was wonderfully hot! You need to make reservations for the pool, but we didn't mind! Our whole family had the pool to ourselves! The kitchen had everything we needed, the rooms are comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. Beautiful way to vacation so close to the slopes!

I'm not sure how the typical room is here; we stayed in a two bedroom villa and it was extremely spacious. That is where the positive adjectives stop.
We had a room booked at the Steamboat Grand and were so shocked at how unkept and musty the room smelled we walked out on our deposit and last minute booked the two room suite at the Sheraton.
The photos on Hotels.com were flattering, but not exactly what it looks like in person. These rooms are old and likely last updated (and not by much) a decade ago at best. Old carpet, dirty windows, mildew covered caulking and broken shower tile grout in the guest bath (so gross neither of us would shower in there).
Carpet was pulling apart at the seams and my computer monitor at home is bigger than any of the TV's.
Three stars only because it had all the amenities, washer and dryer (dryer didn't work for *#+@), a descent balcony over looking the slopes, and a full kitchen.
These hotel execs are all about lining their pockets as quickly as possible it seems. More money for them getting you in the door with a nice looking exterior and lobby. Very little reinvestment in repairing and updating the rooms.

We come here every summer for a family vacation. There is a lot of fun things to do in and around the resort. Our kids love the creek, the mountain coaster, the mini golf! The facilities are great and the rooms are nice as well!

This place was great and had plenty of fun events to go to. LaRae was wonderful helping us check in and get settled. Our personal favorite event was the s mores on the deck. When we had questions Austin was able to help us with all of our struggles. Thanks for such a great stay!
