It was small for a sheraton. Rooms and bathroom were small. The bath rooms down in lobby , you had to back in. No room to turn around. Pool was also small. Bar on the second floor was great. The rooms were clean. The breakfast is worth the money and the staff was super friendly. I would have given it a four star but the pictures on bookit show a big room with a sofa. It was small and no sofa. I have stayed at sheratons all over the country. I can honestly say this was a let down.

Great stay. Pet friendly. Our room had a view of the river and bridge. Good sidewalks for a morning walk. Hiking trail about a block away. Great bar and restaurant in the hotel with a full on Sunday Brunch. The pool looked wonderful but we didn't have time to check it out. Great stay in Louisville!
Wonderful rooms and staff. The beds are soft and warm, and feel incredible when you see it's snowing outside. The showers are hot with fantastic water pressure. All around good times
There are uncomfortable full-size beds and we had a toilet that didn't flush. Maintenance came up twice, but never fixed the toilet. We had to use the lobby.
Franklin the shuttle driver was amazing he was kind and informative, he gave us his card to call him when we were ready to be picked up. I called him because we left our keys on the shuttle, he immediately answered and informed us that he had found them and left them at the front desk for us. Then after the concert that he had dropped us off at earlier was over, we called him to come back and get us and he went thru almost 30 minutes of bumper to bumper traffic to get us!!! He was patient, kind and he would not leave is stranded!!! Then he took us to Hooters so we could get something to eat, because everything else was closed. I cant explain how much we appreciated how he cared for us!!!!
This hotel is in desperate need of an update. Daily cleaning in rooms is sub par, staff is rough looking, styrofoam dinnerware, cheap, lack of variety, low quality bfast item selection, musty smelling rooms when air kicks on. Local area is rapidly declining with businesses closed, limited options w/ poor food quality and overall service. This place and area is dying on the vine. Much like Louisville itself, it's another major city that has been invaded by illegals, drifters and drug addicts. Only reason this hotel remains in business is strictly due to their capacity and proximity to LVL. This is a 2 star hotel at best. Do not recommend.
I have stayed here multiple times with plans to do so again! Great, helpful staff who catered to my specific requests to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The veiw from the top floors is fantastic. A well rounded, luxury experience with awesome restaurants near by and a river walk at dusk is unbeatable.
The only reason they aren't getting a 5 star is because this whole place smells weird and so does they're bedding. I realise this is a personal thing but I don't like it none the less.
The hotle its self is beautiful, but I reserved a suite with double beds for two reason, the amount of people and the view. When I got up to my room they gave us 1 king bed instead. Then when ask about it a women at the desk said the room with the 2 beds was not available and for a roll away bed they would charge us $20.00 more?for their mistake. I said no and then a man said he would just give us a extra room. Ok so now we are split up and thats one of the reason I paid for the suite so we could be together and the new room had liquor bottles in the trash can. I can say I did not expect this here disappointed.
The location was great for an event in Louisville (if you avoid the toll bridge), and has a great view of the river. The rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable. The staff were fantastic! Sheraton will remain my go-to for lodging!
Great hotel with good pricing. Good location as far as proximity to downtown Louisville with one major downside: the toll bridge. You have to cross the toll bridge any time you go into Louisville and is around $4 per go. That's around eight bucks a day just in tolls, and even more if you don't efficiently plan out your day. Still would recommend this hotel.
Even tho it is a Sheraton Hotel, the room was just "ok". Some parts look rusty, like the hinges in the bathroom door, the light inside the closet was blinking and the ironing board was just old and ugly. No complains about the housekeeping. I suggest to add a minibar to the rooms, that would be a plus.
Absolutely wonderful hotel. Close to the water and MANY dining options. Room was clean, AC worked and kept the room cold which I like. Check in was quick and easy. Took advantage of the 10th floor amenities that came with staying on that floor. All of the staff was friendly and helpful!
Rooms were ok, A/C was nice, inside the room, worked ok. We were on 8th floor had to get front desk to get us a Wi-Fi booster in our room, because with so many guest using Wi-Fi our internet on our laptops and Xbox went slow. Bathroom's could have been designed better, and they give you a small closet with safe to store your stuff and valuables. A few times the safe code I had didn't work until the 4th or 5th try. They got a lunch and breakfast room on 10th floor, but they charge your room to use it, which we didn't know until our 3rd time up there. The restaurants in the hotel are more expensive then the ones within walking distance of hotel. You're right by the riverfront, but depending on your room location you either saw a huge condominium apartment complex or the 2nd Street bridge as your view, and not much of the river. The indoor pool and hot tub was small and often filled with people so we didn't swim much. Same with the gym, sometimes unsupervised kids would go in there and mess up the equipment. There are NO on site laundry facilities, there was one about 1 mile down across from Jeff boat if you needed to do laundry. If you refused housekeeping they would slide 5$ vouchers under your door that you could use for anything inside the hotel only, but often times we never got a voucher. Maybe 4 times in the 2 weeks we were there we got one, and we refused housekeeping because we didn't need it. It's pet friendly, didn't cost us extra for our dog, but no good areas close to hotel to walk them. No issues with staff or housekeeping other than not sliding 5$ vouchers under our door for not getting housekeeping, or the housekeeping not getting people's trash from other rooms when they sat it outside their rooms. Parking could have been better, late at night had to park on grass along side building, parking area is ok size, just needs to be bigger.
Nice, clean rooms. Friendly staff. I've stayed here at leave 6times. One time was for work during the time of the solar eclipse. The hotel had been over booked. They quickly shuttled us to a different hotel across the bridge. The staff were very appologetic and acted quickly to accommodate us.
Excellent experience all around! We were there for a week and everyone of the staff made us feel welcome! Would stay here anytime I am visiting the area!
Something isn't right -- room service and the restaurant are both gone despite there still being ads for both in the lobby.
My room is lovely and seems well-maintained.
Staff has minimal knowledge of the area's restaurants, so you'll need to do some research.
The club lounge is only staffed for breakfast and evening snacks. Club-level room keys don't always work for access, even though the room is supposed to be available at all hours.
This is one of the nicest hotels on Louisville, with better views of Louisville than downtown. The Staff is Professional , polite, and friendly, along with keepind a clean comfortable Hotel. Hello to my Family for three months, miss you, stay healthy and safe!
We found a special rate for this hotel. I've stayed here before right after it became Sheraton and the room was very nice. This time, we were put in an old out dated room that was part of the old Ramada that it was before. We could not get the room very cool. Probably won't stay here again.
Fantastic experience. Was here for Forecastle and was treated wonderfully. Very clean and very modern rooms. Would love to go back again next time I'm in town.
One thing: breakfast is a la carte but so worth it. You can find deals online that include breakfast with your stay!
Great hotel great location, but front desk is not friendly. I've stayed here a lot but the most recent stay I dealt with a front desk person that was not friendly or talkative, seemed to not like his job.
Location is right along the river, next to some great restaurants. Easy to walk to some good food, and close to I65 for hopping on and off the interstate. Rooms are clean and beds are fluffy and comfortable.
Platinum with Starwood here... We were upgraded to a Jr suite upon arrival. Room 605 has mold or smoke damage above both of the vents as pictured. The carpeting is stained. Worst of all the sewage is backing up and the bathroom smells like human waste even with the toilet lid closed. Save your money and stay at the aloft, four points, or any of Marriott's offerings before you think about coming here. To add insult to injury nobody picked up the phone any time I tried to reach guest services.
A great place to stay when you're visiting Louisville! Our only complaints were the shower/hot water in the morning sucked and the bar was only open Thursday night during our Th-Sun stay. Other than that, Melanie treated us well during breakfast and Mark's colorful stories in the shuttle bus kept us laughing.
I've been staying here off and on for 6+ years while visiting family.
The hotel itself is great; great location, very clean, great indoor pool area and good restaurant/room service.
The issue is the front desk staff when arriving on Fridays/Saturdays in the evening; the staff barely acknowledges you and are cold. Do not engage in any sort of banter and are not welcoming in any way. This echoes the most recent experiences written about by recent reviewers. Staff is stopping me from rating whole scenario 4+ stars. Change your front desk; put them in the back somewhere else and replace with people who don't act humorless or like automatons. It's the same person, as I've stayed back to back weekends 11/16 and 11/8.
There was an old dirty pair of underwear left at the head of my bed!! All they are doing is moving me rooms!!! Especially with covid around it s obvious they don t clean at all!!
REVIEW UPDATE: Nobody has contacted me to right there wrongs, refund me, or even acknowledge the situation (after countless emails being sent to them). The next step I m planning to take action in is contacting the health board for inspections on the hotel. Since they blatantly do not care about safety.
This was the first time I have stayed at a sheraton hotel so I cannot compare to others. I usually stay in Marriotts. The location of the hotel was great, a short drive to louisville and several restaurants in walking distance. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The view from the 9th floor was spectacular!
I took two stars off for several reasons. There was no fridge or microwave in the room. Also, when the housekeeping serviced the room, the beds were maid but the garbage was not thrown away and toilet paper and were not replenished. I had to call the front desk for housekeeping issues several times.( they were very helpful) Lastly, although there is a parking lot and ample parking surrounding the hotel, all of the spots in the actual hotel lot get filled if you arrive late so be prepared for a short walk.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay but I would expect proper housekeeping and a fridge in the room for the price of the room that I had paid.
Everything i arranged got cancelled from the reservation desk, don't desk almost got it right but it would have been nice if it would have gone as planned
At first, normal. Then, we arrived late and hungry. Was shuttled around block to great restaurant, buckhead mountain grill, by a wonderfully friendly driver (who found my lost wallet the next day.) Staff went out of their way to look for, and ship, said wallet. And, the beds were really comfy. Only one issue... the office party attendees were out of control in the hallway around 1 am.
Nice view of downtown Louisville across the river. It'd be a good walk to downtown, but still a nice area. My only complaint was the room doors have a huge gap between them and the floor.
Really great hotel! The rooms are very good size, the beds are extremely comfortable, the bed linens are very smooth and silky, the hot water pressure in the shower is terrific. Really a very nice hotel for frequent travelers. The only thing lacking was the sheraton club breakfast Other than that, a very nice stay.
This has become our go-to stop when driving north. Clean rooms and friendly staff, not to mention being right next to many restaurants.
Left a pillow in the room and noticed 2 hours later. Called them and they grabbed it right away and put it aside for us so we could grab it a week later on our way back through. Picked it up with no issue. The guy who grabbed it for us knew exactly what I was talking about when I told him.
It's pretty great, the only problem that we spotted was that the blankets for the pull-out couches were like sponges, and smelled funny. Thankfully, we got a second duvet, and used that. Otherwise, great place.
For a Sheraton this hotel could do better. The breakfast is on par with a Days inn. Rooms are clean but feel and look old. One of the staff receptionist was sick (1-23 11pm), wiping her nose with a tissue that was trenched wet from her runny nose, and spreading her germs to every key card she handed to guests. Other staff entered my room on two separate occasions, when the DD sign was on the door handle.
Breakfast not included and was sub-par compared to other hotel stays. Decent business sweet room although not the best view, choose sides carefully if looking for a view. Right on the border, you can walk to Louisville(and the Yum! center) in less than 10 minutes across the bridge. Would suggest this hotel if going to a concert at the Yum! center, they even gave us a free shuttle ride there. Driver was 5/5. If you're looking for a high-class stay, I would suggest the other surrounding hotels.
The location is right off the bridge coming from Kentucky, so it's a great location if you're traveling. The rooms are smaller than I would have thought, but it wasn't a huge issue. The staff is wonderful!
Awesome room the only thing I was confused on we stayed on the 9th floor and there was no ice on that floor at all their room was $149 but Hotwire had it for $83 that is what we paid for it $83
We absolutely loves our stay.. they offer a shuttle that will take you to Louisville and bring you back.. staff was absolutely amazing they were very helpful.
