save yourself the trouble and just go to a different! the receptionists are all extremely rude and are not willing to help anyone. In my short time there Jessica Luedtke, one of the PA's wrote me out two prescriptions, both of which were written out for the wrong dose...

I've been using this office for almost 10 years. I love it! Marc Spencer is my primary doctor and I enjoy his professional side but also that he remembers me and my family. He always has an answer for any questions or concerns I have. I will continue coming here and have even now gotten my husband to transfer to this office! 5 outta 5 for me!!
I am still a new patient at MHFM, but so far I have had nothing but positive results. I am in the process of a very difficult situation with getting ahold of my surgeon for knee surgery, and the front end lady Sarah went out of her way and saved me from coming in and paying a co-pay, while also getting my information on the referral line to discuss my issues with a proper professional. It s little things like that, on top of having a wonderful doctor Daniel Rohweder that make me have nothing but great things to say about them. I definitely recommend their team of doctors.
Beware unless you have thousands of dollars to spare and want to feel like a number and not a person. I went in for my annual exam and to see my general health as I was over due. I also had additional questions/concerns which last time I was told I should include this type of thing in my annual visit. I was immediately refered to an OB (no exam took place) and blood was drawn. I was also tested at the OB not realizing many of these tests overlapped. All OB tests were covered. From Mile High Family medicine I received over $2000 in lab costs and the cost of the visit completely not covered by insurance because it was not coded as my annual checkup. I thought this was a miscommunication we could easily fix and so we called and the front desk and they said they would take care of it. After much back and forth with multiple parties, they refuse to change how the visit was billed, as they claim they booked the appointment for something else. My insurance told me that it is the doctors responsibility to adjust if it is an error. I was tested for a crazy amount of things including lupus which is now my responsiblity to cover. I got one voice mail from Terry saying I had two prescriptions with zero explanation what they were for. I have no test results just bills bills bills. I have never been able to get Terry on the phone. Beyond disappointed and I really hope you can learn from my experience. This isn't someone who has your best health in mind.
I have been going to Mile High for a few years now and have recently started bringing my children and husband there too . I started with Dr. Rowheter and he wasn't the right fit. He is pretty judgmental and not the most awesome listener. I began seeing Terry Chung who has been absolutely incredible. He listens, and most importantly makes you feel that he cares and that you are important! Unfortunately, I was informed today (after making an appointment, going in and paying my copay) that the office would no longer be prescribing my specific medication. I think that a letter should have gone out, letting patients who are prescribed this medication know PRIOR to coming in and paying. It was very awkward for both myself and the fill in doc for Terry. Very sad about the decision.
Unethical & insensitive. The doctors here are okay, but the front office/admin is terrible. They are grossly inefficient and rude on top of that. Getting a prescription refilled takes at least 2 - 3 calls, and on three different occasions they sent a refill order to the wrong pharmacy.
The final straw however was their absolute attempt to rip me off when I was trying to get a Covid-19 Antibody test. Read below for the gory details:
I was hoping to go visit my Mother on Thursday 5/28/20 to celebrate her 91st birthday, but couldn t risk it without being sure I wasn t a Covid-19 carrier So on Tuesday 5/19 I contacted National Jewish to make an appointment for an antibody test and was told that they had openings each day but I needed a referral from my doctor, and that test results were taking a couple days or less
On Wednesday morning 5/20 I called Mile High Family Medicine's office and informed the person on the phone that I was looking for a referral for a Covid test. Her immediate response was Oh we are doing testing here now . I explained that I had researched the test National Jewish was using and that I wanted to go there. She said, okay and that someone would get back with me shortly After not hearing anything that day, I called the office on Thursday morning 5/21 to ask for the status of the referral. A different person answered the phone and her immediate answer was also we are doing testing here . I again explained why I wanted to go to National Jewish and she again, said someone would get back to me shortly After still not hearing anything, I called the office again, the next day on Friday 5/22 and told the receptionist that I was waiting on a Covid referral. Her immediate response was we are doing testing here now . I patiently explained (for the 3rd time) my situation and that I have been waiting for 3 days now. She then looked me up in the system and told me that she couldn't give me a referral unless I came into the office. So after 3 days of waiting for a referral, I was finally told that I couldn't get a referral unless I came in. With Covid-19 running rampant at that time, I was hesitant to visit a doctors office but with Memorial Day the following Monday, my situation was a bit dire. So I asked if I could come in today? She told me they had no appointments available Since the person on the phone had no ability to help me, I calmly asked if I could speak with the Office Manager, in hopes of coming in that day so I could get the referral After about a 5 minute hold, a lady got on the phone and I explained the situation and that all I was looking for was a Covid referral. She apologized but said she couldn t help me. I politely asked her if she was the Office Manager. She said no I m just the person they hand the phone to Not being one to shoot the messenger, I again calmly asked to speak to the Manager After almost 20 minutes on hold, Tracy finally gets on the phone, with a total attitude toward me as if I am the one causing the problem, and without even a hello or acknowledgement, she blurts look we can t give you a referral unless you come in and we don t have any time available today and the first I can get you in is next Tuesday 5/26 afternoon . Which of course was now too late for me to hope to get results in time. The unbelievable, but only conclusion I could come to is that one way or another, they are going to get money out of me. Either I come in for the Covid test or I have to come in to get a simple referral and pay a fee
- I'm 63 and in these days of Covid-19 concerns, I was truly shocked that they would insist on making money by having me come in the office, instead of just giving me a referral.
Dr's are great. I really like Terry Cheung FNP. However the front desk always appears to be incompetent confused and rude. Sometimes i get a pleasant person who awnsers the phone but ive had more bad experiances then good ones when it comes to front desk/phone help. I recently called in and the front desk woman was acting like a Dr. and had a condescending tone. She appeared to be uninterested in helping me and asked way to much personal information to be working the front desk.. I simply called n requested to speak with my Dr. regarding a Personal Question. I advised her this is a private conversation to be had between Dr. and patient and she insisted i tell her in order to receive any assistance. I received a call back a couple hours later and said since i hadnt seen my Dr. In a while they refused to speak with me and said i need to be seen as a new patient as they no longer viewed or considered me a patient there.... Time to find a new Dr...
Great primary care physician. I'm not from Denver or Colorado but in my old city doctors were limited and far more expensive. You would make an appointment and expect to wait over 3 hours until the doctor is ready to see you. With Mile High Family Medicine I can book an appointment on the same day and always see the doctor on my appointment time, no waiting. The receptionist is always friendly and the doctors are professional.
In my experience people from Colorado can be so spoiled and self-entitled.
I always have such a wonderful experience with the Mile High Family! Dr. Schindel is very caring and thorough, and I feel he really listens to my concerns. I used to dread an annual physical, but find I do not any longer. I feel the yearly tune-up is beneficial and puts my mind at ease in so many ways. The staff are very professional ,helpful and friendly.
On 8/31 the front lady said i have a huge balance but turns out no one put my new card in even though on multiple visits i gave them my insurance card. But she finally put it in the system..Is front desk not doing their job? I'mI'm not the only review that agrees that the back and front office don't communicate. I only made one appointment for a physical and a shot. They then told me I had 3 appointments and that the one that was today wasn't for a physical but apparently for my periods and cramps. That's how I know they messed something up because I dont get periods and rarely get cramps. So now I have another appointment for my physical and just the shot today. Then Jessica the provider blamed it on me saying maybe I was so sick I dont remember making the appointment. Never go here. I'm going to another doctor.
I am new to the Lakewood, Golden, well Colorado area in general. We found this medical practice by happenstance, our son needed some care for depression and his father was here visiting my son, well Dr. Teryy was the doctor he was lucky enough to see several times and has been a vital part of his mental and physical care. I myself have seen Dr Terry only one time for med magement. But on the following visits things were not so simple and I am still under his care what could be some major health concerns. His bedside manner is beyond the norm, he just gets me and always inquired about my son, but best of all he does not take any complaint as insignificant and as a patient going thru some stressful times, he makes sure I know he has the medical stuff taken care of and for me to deal with the other stuff. What a nice welcome for me and my son to Colorado.
Dr Spencer is the most thorough Physician I have ever had. He has really made me rethink the importance of the Doctor/Patient relationship. Can't recommend him and the staff of Mile High Family Medicine enough!
I have been seen at Mile High Family Medicine for several years now and have always had a positive experience while there. This private medical practice is top notch from the front desk to the doctors. They are all friendly, compassionate, down-to-earth, brilliant and beautiful people, who will go out of their way, and above and beyond, to get their job done. See my previous review for greater detail. Thank you Mile High Family Medicine!
NP Lee Ann is awesome!! She was caring, thorough, and a knowledgeable about my disease process. The front desk staff (Sarah and 2 other girls whose name's I can't remember) were helpful and efficient. Lee Ann's assistant was wonderful as well. I can't say enough good things about my first visit. Thank you Lee Ann!
TERRIBLE SERVICE! The supervisor, Melinda, that I spoke with was extremely rude, and has no clue how to handle issues when they arise. When I found out my current physician was on vacation, Melinda set up an appointment for me to be seen by a different doctor. When i arrived for that appointment Melinda told me that the doctor that she set me up with would not prescribe the medicine, which was the whole point of the visit.
I have been going for the past few months and the staff is professional and Dr. Rohweder is great and really does spend time with you to find out what is going on. I feel like he has all the time in the world to work on your specific issues. I say this because I was there after close and he was not rushing at all. I also like that he does not go for medication unless he believes its absolutely necessary.
I didn't give 5 stars because the office in general does not follow up in a timely manner; besides that its great.
I have seen several of the doctors, PAs, and nurses for various healthcare needs over the years. This has been my one-stop-shop for 3 or 4 years now. I have always felt comfortable and well cared for at Mile High. I see Laura Murray (a PA) for my routine women's health services and general health concerns alike. She is very thorough and correctly diagnosed my faulty gallbladder on a first visit for irregular, regular pain. (I was not a typical candidate for gallbladder problems!) Highly recommend this clinic and staff. :)
Dr. Schindel and the nurses we have experienced have all been magnificent. Open minded dialogue and compassionate understanding at all times. It seems a few of the front desk attendants could learn how to communicate to referral offices and insurance companies better. But asking clear questions and repeating them seems to help. :-)
After being a patient for 6 years, this medical staff has gone downhill FAST. They are clearly only about money, making you come in every 3 months for medication refills for medications that you have been on all your life. It's a recent switch only in the last 2 years. They "claim" it's due to doctor discretion and changes in DEA regulations. However, there have been zero changes in DEA regulations. That is a farce. It's clear that they're just trying to get people into the office so they can charge them. Very sad, since I loved their office up until 2 years ago. I even stuck with them after I moved from the Belmar area because they used to be so good. Now, their reception staff is disorganized, rude, and all around worthless. Just avoid this practice under all circumstances.
My overall experience with Mile High Family Medicine is very good; the front-desk is always well-staffed and super friendly. I followed Dr. Spencer to Mile High when he left his prior practice, which makes me a long-time patient... Dr. Spencer takes the time to listen to my concerns and gets the next steps right (whether I just need to wait something out or if a prescription is needed) such that I'm not running back and forth with a ton of follow-up visits. I m sorry to see some of the other reviewers did not have a great experience, but I would encourage you to not let that stop you from considering Mile High Family Medicine.
The communication here is horrible! Long hold times to schedule any appointments or get a hold of anyone. The staff will give you wrong information and then blame it on you. Good luck getting a hold of the manager Tracy Lewis if you need to talk to her. I highly advise others to not go here
Worst practice in town, wonder where all your copays are going? Take a look around! There office looks like the Ritz Carlton.
Dr. Spencer would rather doodle on the patient table paper then really listen to his Patient health troubles. I almost died due to his lack of knowledge to the current health problems troubling many Americans today. I asked him one question about my health concerns...: He told me 20 mins on google doesn t give you a ten year Degree in is field. And to stay off google or I can find a new doctor. I lost my job because of is ignorance.
I decided to give this practice another try with new doctor. As I worked my self to a new job and proper healthcare again. Dr. Jones..... she would rather stay at the Wall then listen to her patient! How money much do you make for staring at the wall? This doctors are criminals. I would never ever go back to this Practice again. There most likely pay for the good reviews they have, because there is no way this office takes care of anyone! They just take and take and take your money! We are all better off paying self pay for functional medicine practicing physicians. These western medical doctors are a joke.
I have had two unpleasant experiences at this office that have left me turned off. First, I came for a visit a few months ago where the nurses assistant commented on my weight, saying "Hey, at least you didn't gain!" I said "I don't really care what the scale says. We don't need to talk about it." Then she said "Well, if you workout, muscle weighs more than fat" I replied again "I know. We don't need to talk about it." This was incredibly unprofessional. My second experience occurred this week when I called 3 times because I kept being placed on an endless hold. When I finally connected with someone, sounding VERY ill, the receptionist that told me they were all booked up the following day. I was surprised they did not have any available sick appointments the evening before, as most offices book off time for acute illnesses such as this. I told her I'd have to go to a Walgreens clinic to which she replied "Okay! Bye!"
Needless to say, we will be finding a new primary physician for our family.
Dr's are good but the front office staff are horrible the two that are the worst is the office mgr.Tracy. and that blabber mouth Cindy discusses private matters about patients with other patients I will be switching primary
I've been going to Dr. Spencer for over 4 years now. Despite moving to the other side of town, I haven't sought out a new MD because he's hands down the best medical professional I've encountered in Colorado. He's straight-forward, authentic, takes a whole-health approach with my care and thoughtfully considers other needs I may have in addition to the reason for my appointment. Never any surprise bills or BS responses from his admin folks about insurance billing codes. I feel like he actually cares about my well-being and that I can trust him with my care. He's the one medical professional I've met in Colorado who is conscientious about appointment and prescription costs and is able to provide tangible information and helpful pointers on the spot. No, that's not his job, but it's what makes him an incredible doctor and what earns my loyalty. Financial stress has a negative impact on anyone's health, and by his actions it seems he's keenly aware of this. Thank you, Dr. Spencer!
I cracked my ribs when a porch swing came out of the patio due to the wood rotting and it broke. When I went in to get examined, the doctor was thorough. I am a 150 lbs., very active and healthy 61 year old female. The doctor jokingly told me to go loose some weight so I wouldn't break any more swings. This is never funny or appropriate, not to mention unprofessional. With all the body shaming and people dying from eating disorders, could you get some sensitivity training to your doctors on appropriate ways to speak to people. Thank you.
PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!! FIRST VISIT WAS CLEARY TOLD BY THE MA THAT I COULD ONLY DISCUSS ON HEALTH CONCERN WITH THE DR....REALLY, CALLED LAST NIGHT AFTER HOURS AND ACCORDING TO THE RECORDED MESSAGE THE PHYSICIAN ON CALL WILL CALL BACK. HMMM...14 HOURS LATER STILL WAITING. CALLED AND CANCELLED ANY FUTURE APPOINTMENTS.
I am a newer patient with this practice. In my experience they only want to take your money and refer you around town. It's a scam. They screw up appointment times and believe nobody has to work because they just keep you running around without actually doing anything. I will be finding a new provider office and would advise if you are looking to start here, go somewhere else.
The doctors and staff truly care about each patient. They take the time to listen - that's hard to find! Dr. Spencer thinks "outside the box" to find a solution. This practice is very community-minded and they work hard to treat each member with respect. My experience has been very positive. No one has ever spent time convincing me of his/her personal beliefs.
I am a "challenging" patient due to a complicated health history. I travel many miles to come to Mile High Family Medicine. Professional. Clean. Positive. Current. Excellence. That's what you'll find here.
I have been going here for 9 years. The doctors are great, but they are like shoes. They might all work but not all fit perfectly. If you have a negative interaction with one, try another. They rarely make me wait for than a few minutes, their office is always immaculate, and the receptionists are patient and helpful.
I have a plethora of health issues that MHFM helped me diagnose. I know my health and they listen to me. They're proactive in letting me be a part of my own path for my health care. If I need a specialist they're on top of it. I really love this place and felt they were worth the 25 mile drive when I lived far east of Denver!
I have been coming here my whole entire life and it is the best doctors office ever. All the providers, receptionist, nurses and ma s are incredible. The best experience you will have !
I had a bad experience with my providers over at Exempla Lutheran and didn't feel as though they were putting any effort into my care at all. I was looking for 2 things. 1: That my provider was an MD, not an NP or PA. 2: That they had no group affiliation. A private practice, so that would be able to provide the care they thought was appropriate and not have to abide by the rules of any corporate medical establishment.
I found Dr Christine Jones at Mile High Family about 6 months ago and I have never had such good care. She takes time with you, she listens, she's knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and overall just wonderful.
The front staff and MAs are also wonderful and always greats you with a smile. I never wait long to see Dr Jones and same day appointments are almost always available and they are open on Saturdays. Love the care I get.
I too have been going to MHFM for 6 years and I still love it! I have referred several friends/family to them as well, and everyone has been more than satisfied. There have absolutely been changes in the last few years that affect costs, workload, etc, but none of these have affected the quality of care that I have received. My primary physician is Dr. Spencer, and he has always been open and honest with me regarding the care that would be best for me, even if it meant a cheaper route. The office has definitely gotten busier, and on occasion I have had to see a different physician, but all of them have been caring and attentive and I never have to sit in the waiting room. My suggestion, give it a shot and make your own judgment. I do not think you will be disappointed.
I have to express how happy I was for my first visit to Mile High Family Medicine!! From the time I walked into the practice being greeted by the ladies up front, to going back to do my vitals with the medical assistant, to seeing the doctor I m by far pleased with my whole experience. I m glad I finally found a practice I m comfortable with and plan on sticking with!! Thank you guys for making my 1st visit to your office!! :)
Was looking for a new general physician and thought I would give this place a try. Started out OK, but was quickly unimpressed with customer service. I was told to wait for a call back with pending test results, received no call after over a week. Finally called back and realized they had dropped the ball. Was willing to let this go, but they dropped the ball again on another subject. People seemed nice, and I wanted to like this place, but dropping the ball results in lack of customer service. I chose another general physician.
My family has gone to Mile High Family Medicine for a few years now and all of us have had nothing but the best experience and service. Everyone there is very caring and all the ladies at the front desk are always extremely helpful and polite. The medical team is amazing as well.
This is a financially predatory practice. They will force office visits for everything, including standard med refills. They will not properly give referrals and leave you stuck in the system for years. They don t know incredibly basic things about healthcare, refuse to provide practically any care for any condition, do not preform appropriate tests, and mostly sell products and allergy injections, although the staff is mostly PAs and there is no allergist on staff. They lack empathy and focus entirely on making money, religious symbolism everywhere, and hysterics about licensure.
This isn t a medical practice. It s a bottomless pit of the worst examples of medical corruption.
I just love this office. Everytime I go in, everyone is so nice and helpful! Laura is my provider and she truly is incredible and so caring! I can t say enough about all of them!
Laura and the rest of the office staff were very considerate and efficient, and were able to help me even with their almost full schedule. The help I received improved my wellbeing by 10-fold by the time I went to work later that day. Thank you!
I usually have great visits but things seemed a bit off at this visit. The most concerning was I believe I was forgotten. After Laura s exam I was suppose to get an EKG. After waiting 20 minutes I finally went to find someone. The hallways was empty so I asked the young lady cleaning the break room. The girl with the EKG came immediately saying I wasn t forgotten and time goes slowly when you are just waiting. I happened to notice when Laura left and had been reading so no it didn t just seem long.....20 mins is a long time. Just wanted you to know. Hope Lovegren
Compassion. Peace of Mind. Professionalism. Commitment. Personal. Easy. Humor. Respect. Empathy. Consistent. Gratitude. Relationships. Above and Beyond. The staff at Mile High Family Medicine sincerely care for their patients and their family. We have had several family doctor s in our life but no practice compares to the staff at Mile High. We had a COVID-19 exposure and went into crisis-mode. Information about what to do is overwhelming. It was Thanksgiving week. Our first blessing was that Andrea picked up the phone. She couldn t get us the same-day appointment but understood our anxiety. Andrea scheduled our office appointment for testing, gave us additional testing resources within the community, and offered automatic appointment if there were any cancellations. Within a few hours, Andrea called back and we had an appointment. Thank you, Andrea! Amber was our next remarkable interaction at Mile High. Amber did all the things expected when you come in for an office visit but Amber was more than a doctor s visit. She exudes uber kindness. There aren't enough words or ways to describe Amber. She s our angel on earth. Since we came in before Thanksgiving, the lab results would be delayed. That didn t matter. Amber logged into the system during Thanksgiving closure and called us with results. Thank you, Amber! While Amber took care of the patient, my husband, it was Janet who took care of the worrisome, stressed, depressed spouse, me. She called everyday until lab results came back. She lifted my spirits and joked with me to cast a shadow over my fear. She helped me focus on positivity and optimism. Thank you, Janet.. I am eternally grateful to Andrea, Amber, and Janet. Their hearts are bigger than their bodies. We have stayed with Mile High Family Practice for consistently being great at everything they do every interaction from entry to exit. We also love Laura Murray, Dr. Spencer, Dr. Rohweder, and Dr. Jones. They are family to us. The entire team have reduced the burden and stress of being sick and they unknowingly provide mental health support. I think their hearts are bigger than the city of Lakewood! We thank (and salute) all of you!
Dr. Rohwedder was top-notch as always. I thought I would have to go to a podiatrist, but Dr. R saved me time and money by diagnosing and providing treatment recommendations for my plantar faciitis (sp?). He even got me a discount at Runner's Roost for shoe inserts. About five years ago Dr. Rohwedder literally saved my life through his thorough diagnostics-- the results of his GP work led to open heart surgery--without it my cardiologists told me I probably would have had a massive heart attack. This guy is the best.
Mile High Family Medicine is great for all ages. The doctors And nurses our extremely professional and knowledgeable. The front desk is friendly and in good communication with every patient. The facility has been remodeled with state of the art equipment and I relaxed clean environment
The administrative staff is completely incompetent. First serious mistake I told myself, "no big deal, everyone makes mistakes". Second mistake I said, "Ok maybe they are new to this". Third, a really bad one which they tried to blame my wife for, "These girls are really dumb". I am currently on my fourth major ef up from them and finally told myself "enough is enough". Stay away. You can deck your facilities out all you want, the service is still horrible.
I absolutely love the doctors here, but I feel like there are too many people and they don't care about the patient, just about the almighty buck.the office manager is completely rude and doesn't care what the circumstances are, just you can't come back. Ok thanks!
DO NOT GO HERE!!! HAVE HAD MY WIFE IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM BECAUSE OF THIS PLACE!!! INCOMPETENCE!!! Laura(PA) gave my wife the wrong medication that said clearly on the label not to mix with what THEY had prescribed her already, put her in the emergency room, and then LIED about it!!! When I called and told them my wife was having an adverse reaction, they said they couldn't fit her in. Because of her mistake, they then refused to see her for the flu and Laura told other Drs there not to see her as well! Going somewhere else to say the least!!! 11/30/2014-Taking my wife to the ER again because of this place! These people are incompetent and money hungry! They don't care at all!
I have been seeing Terry Chung, I have good confidence in him. Anytime I have been there and not seen Terry, I didn't feel the same comfort level. But that's what makes this place nice, there are choices.
I have been a patient here for several years and became a patient after a previous doctor misdiagnosed a serious condition that almost cost me my life. Last year I again found myself with a serious condition, and Dr. Spencer recognized the pain I was in and pushed urgently to get the tests needed to identify the root cause and treat the condition quickly and before it became more serious.
In response to other reviews I've read here, I am not a religious person, but I also don't discriminate against those who share their beliefs through quotes painted on the wall. I have favorite quotes from past Presidents on display at my desk at work but that doesn't mean that I expect everyone who comes to my desk to believe in the principles in the quotes. I have never had any employee at Mile High Family medicine ever try to discuss their beliefs with me. I have found mixed results with the check-in process; some days it is a great experience while other busy days it is not as good, but I have never been treated rudely by the staff. Everyone has rough days; perhaps those can be more obvious when someone is in a customer service role. The most important things to me when I am looking for a doctor are: 1) That they listen to me and don't make assumptions about me based on non-clinical information 2) That they are knowledgeable and excel at diagnosis and treatment of medical issues 3) That they are open minded and willing to keep working together with me until we address the problem 4) That I can trust their motives and feel that they have my best interests at heart
Based on those criteria I have not had a better experience than I have at Mile High Family Medicine. The doctors and nurses know their stuff and truly have their patient's health as the focus of all they do.
I recently moved to Denver and had to change doctors so went to the doctor that my wife has gone to for years at Mile High Family Medicine. I had to the comprehensive medical I think I had ever had. The staff is very knowledgeable and very courteous. I would recommend the entire staff to anyone seeking a new doctor. Dr. Borkette (sp.) is the BEST.
The last three times I have tried to fill my prescriptions, this office either refuses to or is unable to contact the pharmacy. When I go to the pharmacy they tell me they are waiting on my Dr.'s office to call, (It has been at least 3-4 days at this point). I know they are telling the truth because the pharmacy has called the Dr.'s office in front of me. I then have to call the Dr.'s office (have waited on hold as long as 12 minutes). I was told by their staff, "Our phone system isn't working, we are not getting calls from pharmacies." A month later, apparently the problem is not fixed. This time I have been trying to get my medications, (that I have been taking for years) refilled for a week and a half. I have not received any phone calls from the Dr.'s office explaining why they wont allow the refill. The result this time is that I'm leaving on vacation sans meds because this office did not call pharmacy. I'm now looking for a new Doc.
I've been a patient for a number of years and the doctors are knowledgeable, but lately the front office staff have been lacking communication skills. I'd rather make appointments through an automated system and I'll probably receive accurate feedbacks. Good luck with your unattentive receptionist crew, they seriously need customer service training.
I came here for one appointment due to a screw-up with my insurance. The people were nice enough, and the Dr helped me with my situation. However all of the overtly religious literature and messaging in this place made me quite uncomfortable. Thankfully I was able to get back with my original (secular) Dr.
I saw some bad reviews below and am new here and thought I should share my experience. We are new to the area and needed to establish a primary provider to see our family of 4 and to refill a monthly prescription. We really liked our doctors and getting our script filled was a breeze. They wrote us a paper script to fill that day at Rite Aid and then sent in a 90 day script to our mail order pharmacy for the refills. The girls in the front office were nice and helpful. We have been here twice now and had the same great experience both times.
Beautiful office and I like the NP I see there. However, their front office staff needs an attitude adjustment. Called to make an appt this morning and the girl I talked to was short, abrasive, and seemed in a huge hurry to get off the phone. I get that it's a Saturday, but if you don't want to be working, find another job!
Called to cancel my appointment for the fallowing day because something came up and I am unable to make it and the lady who answered said so you aren t sick anymore? You re feeling better? And I was socked I had to say what because she had no idea who I was or why I had to cancel my appointment. Just because I have a doctors appointment doesn t make me sick... WTF very rude and unprofessional. I do enjoy my doctor Jessica so nothing against her just really taken away by how the receptionist handled this situation.
Hand's down the best Dr. And clinic I've been to! Dr.Terry took the time to listen to my needs and really helped me out. The front desk was also amazing. Thank you!
Doctor to patient communication needs to improve first and foremost. Doctors need to be more compassionate when communicating with patients. Referral system needs to be improved to make sure that patient's requests are respected and adhered to. All in all, I have found this PCP office to be a pain to deal with. I would not recommend this business to anyone.
People on this are far too harsh. I have been seeing the doctors here for about 3 years and they always work me in same day if they can and the service is great. Some of the people reviewing this are in pain and may not have been stoked with the speed of service or whatever but I go often and I can tell you, the team tries their hardest to give the best care.
On a side note, the ladies in allergy are fantastic, Lynette (I hope that is the spelling) is amazing and goes the extra mile to work with insurance companies and Dr. Cheung is one of the best doctors I have ever seen.
This practice is amazing! The front end staff are attentive and friendly. All the Dr.s and especially P.A. Laura Murry are thorough, personable, educating and professional.
The providers are excellent. They are busy and can sometimes be in a rush but that seems to be how medicine is going nowadays. The real problem with this practice is their phone system, unable leave a message at times and the poor performance of call backs. I ve complained about this several times and it doesn t seem to get better. I hear excuses about how busy they are ..,
Reception desk is very rude and not communicative to clients and the treatment plans (4 visits) were not effective. Would never recommend a family or friend to go to this doctors office.
I ve gone to this doctor for 12 yrs and my kids. I have had the flu all weekend running a continuous fever and they tell me that my only option is to wait till 5:30 pm when it s 8 am now. Won t even try to schedule me sooner or make an attempt to talk to a doctor to find a solution.... front desk is just rude and immediately tells me we are booked. I don t think in the recent years I ve heard anything other then this coming from their front desk. If they don t start treating people better they are going to lose patients to a place that does. Since my doctor can t help me I guess urgent care is my only option, it makes me sad I m probably going to have to change doctors since this is a regular occurrence.
My family and I had been loyal patients here for nearly a decade and have always recommended the practice highly. Some time ago we began experiencing errors in billing and scheduling. These errors became increasingly common. Today I spoke with the office manage regarding a bill that I had received from a lab in relation to a well patient visit. The doctor requested lab work that insurance does not cover under a well patient visit and failed to tell me that he had done so. I had accepted the explanation that the office manager had provided. Then she drops this gem on me: "It's just weird that you would talk to the doctor about [medical issue] during a well patient visit." Right. HOW DARE I talk to my doctor about a medical issue when he asks "anything else going on?" In conclusion, I'm done. My family and I will seek medical care elsewhere and I will ALWAYS go out of my way to warn people of the terrible service they receive add this practice.
Dr Spencer has been a great doctor for many years but getting an Rx filled is like pulling teeth. EVERY trip to the pharmacist goes like this: "We're waiting on your Dr to OK the Rx." "We're still waiting on your Dr." "The Dr STILL has not gotten back to us." Then I have to call the Dr and tell the office to do their job. Then, inevitably, I get one or two more, "We're still waiting on your Dr," comment from the pharmacist. So if you go into the pharmacist around 10a expect to be able to pick up the Rx 3-4 hours later. I moved pharmacists thinking it was their fault. NOPE! No longer a patient as I do not have the patience!
Their front office staff and billing staff weren t very good. I left multiple messages with their receptionists but never got a call back. The provider I saw was ok but the rest of the staff made the experience mediocre.
I showed up a bit early for my appointment and they were able to get started on me early so I didn't have to spend a lot of time sitting in the waiting room. The nurse that did the preliminaries was friendly and efficient. I only had to wait in the exam room for a couple of minutes before Dr Schindel came in and, as usual, he was very thorough and professional in explaining and discussing my condition, answering any of my questions, and making useful recommendations for my continued well-being.
This place is hopeless. I was charged double for a visit, tried to pay in office twice but they didn't "see" a bill. Fast forward to a year later, I get called about a bill but I call back and nobody knows anything about it. They didn't transfer records as asked and refused to provide birth control, even as a medical treatment vs actual birth control. Absolutely refuse to go back and highly suggest others stay clear.
Mile High is an amazing practice, the best I can ever remember experiencing! Great, timely, and friendly service, super doctors, holistic approaches...everything I was looking for, and more! So excited to have found them, and no hesitation in recommending them!
Everyone who helped me, both on the phone and in person, was very friendly and helpful. The doctor made me feel listened to, respected and cared for. After one visit I can confidently say that Mile High Family Medicine will be our new primary care provider for both myself and my family!
I made a new patient appointment. I arrived 7 minutes late because I couldn t find the entrance which is in the Whole Foods parking garage. The provider already canceled my appointment and the girl at the desk said that s odd because you can be up to 15 minutes late. The girl at the desk tried to figure out why they canceled and she came back with... I am sorry, unfortunately they won t see you today...but I would love to set you up with another provider for another day! .... absolutely not!!! I will never go back.
These guys have the worst service I've ever seen. I walked in once while they were apparently at lunch. There were at least 5 employees sitting around on the couches talking. After standing there at the counter for 5 minutes one of them had enough sense to tell me they were at lunch. I asked her if she saw me standing there for the past 5 minutes and she said yes. Most recently I was trying to call on the phone, the automatic system told me to wait for the next receptionist but instead it hung up on me 4 times in a row. They clearly do it intentionally. It's disappointing because I really like my doctor. Will have to put serious thought into switching because of the rude receptionists.
