Pool and restaurant were closed. We have no idea why pool was closed, restaurant went totally away in March. No mention of these on any website. It was like bait to get you there and then the news after it was to late, so much for the get away for my essential working wife. There were dead flying bugs in the room every morning. Shady business practice at best. It's not all that clean either. NEVER again will we stay in a Sheraton hotel
This hotel is the perfect location for access to everything in Louisville; KY performing arts theater, yum center, 4th st, and a few distilleries. Frank at the concierge is AWESOME. We've stayed here a few times. Anytime we go to Louisville this will be our first choice for lodging. The bridge and barrel restaurant is really good too and provides room service.
This hotel is wonderful! After a weekend of horrible hotel experiences, the Sheraton was a wonderful retreat. The only things that could have improved it would have been a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Other than that it was perfect!
Very engaging staff. Room was nice, good updated shower, and clean room. O ly thing that could add is if the lounge could have liquors on the menu as well.
Very friendly service and convenient location near several restaurants, located right on the Ohio River, good parking, and within approximately 1/4 mile walk to pedestrian bridge over Ohio river to downtown. Best of all was their shuttle service. The shuttle driver, Frank G, was super helpful, knows ALL about downtown Louisville area, and really made it so easy to get downtown without driving/parking. Rooms were clean with great views of the river but the doors were a bit noisy when opened and closed which may disturb some light sleepers. Our baseball team enjoyed their stay.
This hotel is a total joke. We got quoted one price while booking for one night from a nice guy, Mark, in Kansas then upon our arrival the price was different. In addition to this goat rope the guy at the desk says we need to contact someone in Kansas to fix the situation because he couldn't fix it himself. So for an $80 dollar difference I figured it was worth my time to call the call center back. After another 30 min on the phone, missing out on family vacation, I finally spoke with Isabella in Kansas who said she could see the problem but would have to wait 6 days to review my earlier phone conversation with Mark before she could issue a refund. Are you kidding me? How does it take 6 days to review something she already said was an error on their behalf. Several minutes later Isabella called back and said she could do a $50 refund immediately and that she would call the hotel issue the refund. Okay, not to bad right? WRONG! Guess who had no idea what I was talking about when it was time to check out?.... ding ding....If you guessed the guy at the hotel desk you're right! So he charges me the higher price and says I need to call Kansas again to straighten this out. By this time my blood pressure is higher than necessary so I figured I'd bypass the underlings at the Kansas call center and ask to speak directly to a supervisor. After a 20 min wait on hold and no answer we had made it to the restaurant for breakfast. Instead of wasting more of my vacation on this worthless hotel chain I opted to hang up and participate with the family. I will never, ever, ever stay here again and don't recommend you do either!
Family and friends stayed at this location to attend our brother s surprise birthday party. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was friendly. Location was great.
I visited Sheraton Louisville Riverside to pick up my ticket for the NCAA Elite 8 game between KU and Villanova, which was as easy as heading into the lobby, and following the signs leading to where my ticket was waiting.
Even though construction on the bridges leading to the Sheraton may be a pain, the hotel has a wonderful view of Downtown Louisville from across the Ohio River.
Have stayed here several times and always have a good experience. Friendly service at the front desk and the rooms are always well maintained and cleaned. Prices are very reasonable as well.
Hotel was nice and clean staff was great. Only spent one night so I didn't get to check out much but enjoyed my stay. Very convenient to downtown Louisville.
It was nice and clean! loved the fact that it was by the river as well Staff was very friendly. Special s/o to a staff member by the name of Jermaine he was very nice and he made sure we had everything we needed for our stay & pointed us in the right direction to some amazing food!
Great hotel. Clean, friendly staff, quick check-in. I like to stay here when. I'm in the Louisville area.
Edit: I just stayed her recently and my opinion has changed a bit. For one, they no longer have refrigerators in the rooms, the AC fan had super glue on it so I could not run the fan in the "on" position, I had received a dirty towel (looked like it wasn't even cleaned), and the breakfast is pretty terrible for costing almost $15 (with tip). I won't be staying here anymore.
In a word: Disgusting. Upon entering my room for the first time, and kicking off my shoes to get comfortable, I immediately stepped on a wet puddle in the carpet. I can only imagine what it was, as I was unaware that this was a pet friendly hotel upon booking and was greeted by barking dogs upon arrival. The bathroom countertops were dingy and dirty-looking. The beautiful modern glass shower doors depicted in hotel photographs online had all sorts of mold and scaling growing out of the crevices. Probably the worst of all of my experiences was the fact that the comforter was covered in dog hair. I sat my laptop down to do some work, and the static electricity attracted tons of dog hairs all over it. My pants, when I got up, were covered with dog hair. DISGUSTING. Clearly, the comforters are not being washed at the very least.
First world problems? Yes. But these things are things you shouldn't have to endure in my opinion at a hotel of this class and price. The lobby is really nice, but unfortunately deceiving.
The location of the hotel is nice, directly on the riverfront. It is near several restaurants and not far from downtown Jeffersonville, which is home to plenty of small local businesses. The hotel common areas are reasonably contemporary and clean. The room I stayed in was not too small, but not exactly spacious. The bathroom is incredibly cramped and small. The shower had mildew in some of the grout. The water pressure was acceptable. The carpet in the room was in need of deep cleaning and it made the room feel dingy and unclean, something I wouldn't expect from a Sheraton property. I won't be booking another stay at this location due to the bathrooms and the state of the carpet in my room.
Our stay was very nice. The price was why we decided to stay there versus the Kentucky side. The rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable. The staff was nice and courteous. They checked our bags so we could go explore Louisville and they provided recommendations for where to grab breakfast.
Our first room we were placed in had black mildewy mold on ceiling and walll along with stained carpet so we asked the customer service desk to change our room because of this issue. So they bumped us up to a room on the next floor up and the ceiling low and behold had black mildewy mold on the ceiling. We stayed because by the time we got to the hotel it was 2 am and we were exhausted.... but we will not be coming bacok especially when we were charged 160 dollars for the night plus if you want breakfast another 15 dollars. I can find nicer hotels for 100 a night that are immaculate and have free continental breakfast.
Great service and attentive kind staff. Fixtures are a little worn, but hotel has a good location on the river and is convenient to local attractions. I have stayed here before and came back, and would return in the future.
Crisp and clean inside with great views. Staff was AMAZING! Eric was super on the phone to help book and Katie at the front desk should be the envy of every Hotelier on the planet. We loved our stay.
