It was a hotel... I slept there... There wasn't (any apparent) drug dealers or hookers nearby... I'm still alive to write this review. Unless I'm a hooker that's high on drugs writing this review on a dead John's phone... In which case, disregard everything that has been written here.

The hotel is in a great location. Room is clean and nice. Our floor didn't have an ice machine for some soon and there is no mini fridge in the room. Other than that, great place.
When I come to Raleigh, I always stay in this hotel. I'm not sure what happened from 2016 to now, but it was very poor. We checked into a dirty room. When we asked to have it switched, we were met with disrespect. The sheets were a bit worn, as was the rest of the room. The saving grace was the downstairs bar and location. Rooms are dated and need renovations.
If you want more evidence, take a look at the fridge they had "brought to our room".
We've been coming here for husband's company holiday party for several years, hotel is fine, but the catering really needs to improve both it's food and service.
Hotel staff and rooms were great! Comfy beds, good water pressure and hot water, and clean rooms. The on-site bar and grill was very good as well. It is an awesome place to stay if you have a concert across the street at the Red Hat Amphitheater. I'll probably be staying here again for any event in Raleigh!
The space was very well kept and decorated. However, it was difficult to travel between floors because one elevator wasn't working and several flights of stairs were not operable.
Not happy when I got here and found out that they had overbooked the reservation that I had booked months prior and didn't even tell me ahead of time, so I could make other arrangements.
The only good things I can say about my experience here was the nice Front guest associate Tyler and the bed/pillows are comfortable. The first thing we noticed was on two different occasions there was no hot water. One in the morning and one at night the first time we let the water run for at least 10 mins and it still didn't warm up. We left the room for 30 mins and when we came back it was on so we assumed maintenance had came and fixed it. But later on that night it happened again. They came to the room and did something and all of a sudden it was fixed. Saying something about it needing to be flushed. Coffee maker did not work. Bath tub had hair in it all over the shower wall and tub. There was no wash cloths. I'm very disappointed in this stay I expected a lot more out of a sheraton hotel. Also all the sodas in the vending machine on the 5th floor were sold out. Housekeeping/maintenance needs to be improved.
Very bad service. Gold elite member here, turned down for an upgrade during a pandemic in an enormous and practically empty hotel. Her excuse was "because of covid" which makes no sense because up the reasons listed above. When I asked that she expand on that I was told many different reasons that were all just excuses not to give someone an upgrade who qualified for an upgrade. This nonsense is experienced across the country with Sheraton/ Marriott. If they don't want to give upgrade qualifications to their gold elite members, Please take it off the benefits page. I prepare myself for a major disappointment every visit to Sheraton hotels it is so very much not worth the bonvoy card.
Location: in the heart of Downtown near many restaurants/bars/clubs for everyone and anyone. Room: very clean and the bed is heaven, but no refrigerator in room. Service: great front desk and hotel restaurant. Very attentive! Overall, definitely will return!
I stayed at this Sheraton and had a good time however there were some problems. For a club room, I was impressed with where I was put in the hotel with the view, but that was all. The bathroom was a tad small (literally walked into it and the toilet was right there), pool was closed when I tried to go (dont blame them however knowing whats happened in the past) and it was a little dirty in the room(dust, ring stains). I'd think that if I am paying as much for a club room, it'd be just that much better. The friendly staff really helped however. Especially the kind ladies at the Cafe in the morning.
The hotel staff are nothing but friendly, from the valets to the front desk to the cleaning crew. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, within walking distance of many bars, restaurants, and other attractions. My room was very nice, with air conditioning and a comfortable bed. Overall my stay was fantastic and I'd highly recommend this hotel.
Disgusting. They lock you out every night by like 9/10pm so you always have to call the front desk to come in even though you're a registered guest. This seemed very stupid. No cleaning service. Rooms had left over hair from previous visitors. Would not return
Service was subpar, the staff was kind, but I called guest services a couple times and was never able to get thru. We had to check in at 3am due to being locked out of our home, the charge was extra, and breakfast was not included, which we thought it was. We had not eaten, and the only food available was chips/snacks, soda, and wine. I had to ask for water from the back. Just not very accommodating.
Great room, excellent bed. Staff was top notch. Parking/check out process was a bit convoluted, with a key card drop box in the garage which was locked. But all in all a great experience!
One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Big rooms, very clean and tidy, the only downside is the breakfast, which I would consider a bit less appealing and poor, diversity wise.
Reception was friendly, but the rooms are a little dated. Seems kinda pricey for the quality, but I'm assuming you're paying for location as much as amenities.
Nice location for walking to restaurants and buildings downtown. The hotel was clean and service was very good. The bed and pillows were not great. I'm another hotel closer to traveling with my own pillow.
I went for a presentation by an investment firm. Parking was a nightmare. Navigating to the meeting room was not trivial. I'd rather not go back. That said, the meeting room was nice, and the lighting and sound system were perfect. Food and drink were very good.
The location of this place was great for my stay. I was attending an event at the convention center and it was right next to it. I do think the rooms were over priced for what you get, they are small and lack that expectation you have when paying over 150 dollars a night. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Nightlife and restaurants were just a short walk which I liked!
Wow. I love the Sheraton. The 90s nostalgia is so poignant that I can literally transport myself to that wonderful decade. I love what they have done to the place. It is as beautiful as ever. The smells of the 90s lingers in that hotel so well. Two thumbs up!!
Very nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Only problem was the water pressure in the shower was a bit low. The hotel is in downtown so it's very close to many restaurants
The rooms were beautiful with great views. I spent time In the bar and was greeted by a laugh a minute bartender. Glad I choose this hotel during my raleigh visit.
My favorite downtown hotel. You feel safe here and it's walking distance to everything. Only negative is self parking is across the street in a garage that gets full on weekdays.
Overall stay was good. Clean room, comfortable bed. Only 1 of 3 elevators were working which meant long waits (about 15 mins). If we were on a low floor it wouldn't have been too big an issue. I would stay again.
Room is clean and spacious and great really, but I m in night 2 of 6 and can t sleep again because the elevators are so loud!!!! Even through earplugs it wakes me up throughout the night and they are too booked to move me :(
I was disappointed in our stay here. Full disclosure - it was new years eve and probably much more chaotic than usual but there were not nearly enough elevators for this size hotel and they were quite slow. We were told there were no stairs we could take, either. I refused to believe that because I knew there had to be for fire safety evacuations, so we later found a stairwell by our room. The room itself was ok. There was no mini fridge (sad since we brought wine) and no full carpet (just a rug under the bed) so I didn't like how cold my feet were when walking around the room. Bed and pillows were great and comfortable. We were on the 14th floor and someone set off a fire alarm around 2am, so that was fun. When checking in, staff were not friendly and same treatment when checking out. I get they were busy but I've come to expect much higher quality from spg properties and this one did not live up to that. They charge too much for what they offer.
Sheraton went above and beyond, accommodating our schedule changes due to flight cancellations and doing so with no hassle whatsoever. Very pleasant stay and very friendly staff. Thank you.
Its an Okay hotel. Conveniently located to the convention center, and with some nice amenities. However, the hotel feels a bit old and could use some remodeling.
The rooms were clean but you pay 189 for a one night stay and WiFi was a separate package never again I will search elsewhere before staying there again the room had no refrigerator which was stupid I just was just not pleased at all
Staff is rude, had to switch rooms 3 times due to various issues such as broken floor tiles causing injury to my niece, AC not working in the middle of July, and a toilet that wouldnt stop running. But all is good because they gave a couple of coupons to their nasty restaurant.
Staff was friendly and accommodating, however we have stayed with many hotels with various levels of amenities, and we feel that (even at the convention discount) the room was NOT worth the cost. It was small, had no refrigerator, pull out sofa, the bed was too hard, and the pillows were VERY lumpy. At their costly price point... charging for parking ($12 at that) and high speed internet, was ridiculous. The only benefit was the proximity to the convention event, but it does not justify the price of the room. We stayed at another hotel a few blocks away, and for a cheaper price, we received many more options than the Sheraton had to offer. Price gouging for sure with this place. We recommend another hotel for convention events.
