It's a neat place to stay. It's not luxury but comfortable to stay for several nights.
I am a Starwood Preferred Credit Card Holder, and an SPG Gold Member. I have stayed at several starwood hotels and this was the worst one so far. Two of the hotel amenities were out of order (Pool and Hot Tub). Their 'System' did not recognize as a Gold member and I was told to figure that out myself by the Front Desk. The manager was unavailable, or 'Busy' during my stay. The first night I was at the hotel's restaurant, They had us sit down and made us wait for 30 minutes, When we finally decided to leave and go to a different restaurant, the server came running asking if we were helped. How sweet of her. Anyway, Do not expect to be treated as an SPG member if you are one, you will have to enforce them and remind them of the benefits that come along with being a Loyal member of SPG hotels. Plus, be ready to see worn bathrooms, with improper renovations. The rooms are cramped and you feel like you are boxed in. Consider staying in Washington D.C. downtown hotel instead. It was a much more pleasant experience last year for me. Not to mention, trying to get in touch with Staff was a complete waste of time, you don't want to spend time speaking or talking to the management on your vacation. Time is precious, and it is not to spend with the hotel management.
Check in was annoying and rooms got messed up a bunch.
Clean, quiet hotel. Walking distance to the restaurants and Old Alexandria.
After having just stayed the previous night in a big name hotel/casino, this was a welcome improvement ! Everything I needed, very clean room, very updated (lots of USB ports for all of my USB powered/charged devices), and friendly staff. Great stay!!
Great location. Rooms are all suites and well maintained.
Requested early checkout didnt have it didn't bring the towels i asked for didn't have a pool even though the website says it does
My stay was amazing! Clean rooms, good service, nice staff
The room was nice and modern, and the staff was helpful.
Great hotel. Good rooms, service, and small workout facility.
Rundown. Poor service. Misrepresented amenities.
Don't think your SPG status will get you any type of perk at this spot.
Marriot really needs to step up and invest in the Sheraton locations, they are fading fast.
Noisy room, room service mucks up order (how tough is 'hash browns well done'?}
This hotel should be so much better ...... Especially for the price. The location is great in the old town Alexandria area. The overall hotel is in severe need of a renovation. The rooms and decor are very outdated the carpet has been run ragged, wallpaper is peeling off the walls, and the furniture is outdated. The restaurant is convenient and breakfast is decent, but also overpriced. Service as most places in the northern Virginia area is not great.
Great place for family, close to DC. The room could are a little outdated. Friendly staff
We held our wedding and reception here and had a wonderful experience. In addition to being ready and available for a rain plan (which we ended up needing) the staff, especially Jenni, was extremely kind and attentive. Jenni was a phenomenal coordinator doing what she needed to keep us on track and working with our families and vendors to make everything on the big day go smoothly.
Suites are comfortable and exceeded my needs. Room service was affordable and surprisingly tasty! In room mini fridge and microwave is useful too.
Big rooms because it's an all suite hotel. Well maintained on the club floors. The furnishings are more traditional than modern. Overall it's nice and clean. It's one of my go-to hotels in the Alexandria area.
Its very fancy and people are chill here. They even let me bring my bike into my hotel room.
There was a cool room with food and drinks for members
This hotel is clean and beautiful and conveniently located. The concierge and other staff are helpful and kind. I love this hotel. I've stayed here before and I'll stay here again!!
This hotel has been serving as a stepping point for me on an annual basis over the last 5 years. The hotel location is within walking distance of the Potomac River with walking paths to nice retail/restaurant areas. And if you do not want to walk, it is a half mile cab/uber ride away. Hotel is nestled into a quiet area and located in and professional building development neighborhood.
Great hotel. We paid the extra for the club and it's worth it. Delicious breakfast, snacks and espresso all day, and hit snacks at night. No experience with parking.
front desk staff was excellent but the exercise area was terrible for a 250 room hotel the shuttle to the airport is very helpful.
Nice rooms, very well located. Pricey but worth it.
Love this place! Great location, friendly staff, very comfortable rooms.
Rooms are very nice and the pancakes are sooooo goood
Worst hotel I have stayed at. We stayed here on a school trip. This was by far worst hotel we stayed at on the trip many even the worst. There was blood on the sheets. The floor was rotting.
Friendly attentive staff. Appreciated that i could get in my room a bit early Beautiful view from the top floor.
Close enough to everything you want to do. Nice location!
Woke up with 3 bug bites on my leg and one on my back . Room smelled like mildew . Purchased a drink from downstairs it was 2 weeks old
Lovely rooms, comfortable, well appointed, clean and quiet
Amazingly clean, great staff, however the pool and hot tub are shut down.
Not as expected and no swimming pool like the description.
Nice hotel in great location. They have Enterprise car rental within the hoel. Looks newly renovated.
false advertisement... didn't get the room that we booked.... TV not working and ceiling with water damage... staff very rude not professional I would not spend a penny again here
DO NOT BOOK AT THIS COMPLETELY SUB-PAR HOTEL!!! Checked in at 11 pm after traveling 7 hours and there was no availability. Had booked reservation via Expedia for 3x regular rate, only to have no room available at check in. FRONT DESK CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS ZERO. They offered to book us at a Best Western 30 minutes away. Thanks but no thanks. As a frequent traveler, and SPG supporter, truly disappointed by Marriot brand. Would like to rate 0 out of 5 stars.
Simple math. 9 floors x 36 rooms x 1 Washer and 1 Dryer for the entire hotel = 3-Star rating. I get a suite vs. a normal hotel when I'm staying long-term so I can do things like have a fridge and take care of laundry. Put some real laundry facilities on your property or else I don't care how nice your lobby and your rooms are. Don't pretend to be a good long-term stay location and then skimp on the important things.
The rooms feel like a small apartment. Feels less like a hotel. It's clean, very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bar is nice too. I'd stay here again.
From the front desk staff to the young lady who works in the club lounge, not a single employee has remotely tried to be pleasent or friendly - upon check in, the 3 young ladies at the counter were in a personal conversation that didn't stop during the c/i process, meaning I wasn't greeted by name(she didn't even ask for my name, only took my ID I had out), no recognition of platinum status, and wasn't very happy when I asked questions regarding breakfast/club lounge. The young lady in the club lounge won't even reply back if you say good morning, just very disgruntled looks. (This is day 1 of a 5 day stay) updates to come.
A good business hotel with larger than average rooms.
Besides working in the hospitality and tourism industry for 18 years, I've never experienced what I've experienced this past weekend. The staff at the front desk are rude and very unprofessional. They are scary! They don't greet and they don't smile. I am appall to see such people working for the hospitality industry. I will surely write a book about my experience in this hotel....
An older Sheraton property but a good one. Down the street from a Trader Joe's and a Harris Teeter. This hotel is in a nice quiet place. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. I will be back again!
Great amenities. Found a bug(the one with a lot of legs crawling in our room). Otherwise, everything was great
Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Caring and considerate. I would rate them a 5 +++++
Nice hotel that is very high quality while still being affordable. The variety of rooms means anyone should be able to get the accommodation they're looking for
Window pain in my room was falling out. Bloody fingerprint on the wall. Had NO hot water for 2 out of 3 days. Also our rooms every were not cleaned uniting after 4pm. In my parents room their bathroom fan didn't work and was never fixed while we were there. Also their bathtub was leaking into the carpeted area causing...
We were here for one night but enjoyed the room and the area!
Good location, really nice suites, good bed, thick comforter. Very nice hotel
The staff for the restaurant at breakfast were not very attentive.
Stayed here for the marine corps marathon. Great location! About a $11 uber ride to get to the capital building. Plenty of little restaurants in the area and a nice boardwalk just a short 5 minute walk away. The only downside was paying for parking. It was $32 which was ridiculous. The room was nice though and the employees were very helpful!
I visited them for discounted airport parking. The lobby was clean and comfortable, the employees were very nice and the parking garage was easy to navigate and maneuver with a decent size SUV.
Beautiful hotel and conveniently located near a 24 hour Harris Teeter as well as few restaurants ( regular hours) parking is just ridiculously priced at the hotel. We were able to find parking on the street and stayed put.
So far so good. The location is perfect, right by the center where I am taking training plus there is a 24 hour grocery store right behind the hotel. Walkable (safely) to good restaurants and Old Town. The rooms are huge. Comfy beds as to be expected with a Starwood property. I am a Gold member and other than the optional bonus points I haven't really experienced anything special.
Rooms are nice and reasonably priced. I would stay here again when in the area.
Nice, plenty of parking, but kind of musty, no shower ventilation. Overall fine though.
Quick check in. Attractive well equipped "suite" with modern furniture and electronics. Clean and comfortable. Hot water on demand, and good quality towels. I ate at the bar which offered friendly and prompt service with a staple menu. Food was good quality and served hot. What more can you really ask for at this price point?
Very nice suites. The location is nice with plenty of dining options around she yet just minutes from the airport. Staff is friendly and the property is well maintained.
I was there for enterprise (located on the inside). Enterprise was very professional and friendly. The hotel itself was very nice on the inside.
Decent room. Lousy workout facility. Good food, if a bit overpriced.
Great location in old Town: a few blocks from the bustle and a few blocks from the Potomac! Rooms are spacious, came with a mini fridge and a microwave. Only stayed one night so I didn't have the chance to use many of their amenities like the pool and gym. Parking garage on site which enters directly into the hotel. I thought the pillows we're a bit too soft for me, but overall a very nice hotel.
Stopped by to meet with a colleague. Good location, nice facility.
Friendly staff and very helpful in a beautiful hotel in a nice room so I'm very happy okay and you will be to that part!*
I was discriminated against because of the color of my skin. I will never get a room from this chain of hotels ever again.
It rained really bad,our room flooded they had to get us another room 9:00 at night, the maintenance man says that happens when they get a heavy rain go figure
... had a room with small balcony ... you could get some fresh air not just air conditioning ... super friendly staff .. however parking expensive about 31USD / night ...
I had a horrible experience at this hotel. The,quality of service was underwhelimg I suggest if you are going to stay here, and have multiple people staying in your room fill out the pre authorization form
I do not recommend, staying here Holiday Inn is right down the street.
Do not expect anything from this hotel. Coffee in the room- No; bottle of water at check in- No; upgrade-No, breakfast or to-go bag- No; lounge access- No; I could go on....Good location but very non-accommadating.
Good location. Large, clean and modern rooms. Small, but empty gym with four cardio machines. Pool is closed as of June 2018.
By far the worst Sheraton I have stayed at. As a gold customer I expected better. The room was not cleaned well at all. There was hair everywhere from the people or zoo that stayed in the room before. I called down for a blanket at 3 PM for the pull out couch. It was never brought. Called again at 9 and was told there are no extra blankets. Our room was never cleaned the second day. The bed was made with a flat sheet not a fitted sheet, all through the night it kept falling off. After a long day of walking around DC we wanted to get a sandwich at the restaurant, it was not open at 2 PM. Sheraton, you dropped the ball on this hotel.
Had a wonderful time in Old Town....and visiting the area...great place to stay and wonderful views.
