Very old, run down rooms. Peeling wallpaper, dated furniture, worn carpet, etc. My room is beyond freezing even after turning the thermostat up to 80 degrees. There is also a loud knocking sound in the walls that sounds like old pipes knocking or something, super annoying. Front desk staff was very friendly so that was a positive.

We had a large group coming in from out-of-town and these folks went above and beyond to setup a room block (that kept expanding) and help ensure that our guests had a great experience. Thanks to their hard work and reasonable rates, we were able to celebrate with folks that might not otherwise have been able to join us. Thank you Betsy and Seth!!

The location is convenient to King Street and the rest of Old Town - plus you get the benefit of the slightly quieter North Old town feel (and proximity to 2 grocery stores and some of the best pasta you will ever eat, Hanks Pasta Bar).

Our guests especially liked the suite setup of these rooms, it was must more convenient for visiting and spending time together. The rooms are a bit older (so don't expect brand new and modern), but there are clean and comfortable!

The room was decent. They do not offer free breakfast, but they did direct us across the street to a nice little place that had a brunch which turned out to be pretty good. Parking was pricey, but fortunately my family and I were able to find street parking for free!

Nice small suite. Nice TV's with clean picture. Comfortable bed with good pillows. The curtains block light well when closed. My room has a mini refrigerator, microwave, and typical hotel coffee maker. The furniture, bathroom and carrot could use updating, but a good room none the less. I would stay again no question.

Good location and easy to get to DC and George Town. Rooms were very nice but this location has NO POOL. Booked the hotel because a guest posted photos of the pool and hot tub.

SHERATON, PLEASE REMOVE POOL PHOTOS FROM REVIEW AS TO NOT CONFUSE GUESTS

The hotel is in a convenient location only 10 minutes walk from King Street. I stayed four nights in a very comfortable suite. Front desk staff were professional and pleasant. Breakfast buffet is good.

The room was a little snug but well laid out (the area with the bed was separate from the living room with the TV and futon), and it was clean. The bathroom was somewhat small but adequate. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
The pool was decent for spashing around, only about 5 feet deep and had a lifeguard. The shuttle was convenient and brings you to the Reagan National Airport/Metro Station (10-15 min each direction)
Parking was free only if you found street parking, which was limited. Garage parking was in the $20 range.
Plenty of restaurants and things to do in the area
I paid $137 per night (during July 4th weekend).

Our family stayed at the Sheraton Suites Old Town and had a great experience. The beds we're comfortable and I got a great night's sleep. We were in the club level so we had access to the club lounge. The options were limited and basic but it met our needs at the time. Would recommend and/or stay here again.

The Sheraton Suites Old Town is a nice hotel. The room is a little small but the building and hallways are clean and nice. The decor and theme is the same throughout the building, which is nice. The staff was nice although, they weren't incredibly knowledgeable when I asked for a quick restaurant in the area. Overall the hotel was good, but not above expectations

Had a terrible stay. The front desk staff is racist against whites. They also were against republicans. Our shower did t work, our room keys didn't work even after 3 attempts. They took 20 minutes to check us our. They never answer the phone and have terrible advice. Do not stay here ever!

Easy to get to, and a good amount of restaurants surrounding the hotel. Also great having Harris Teeters right next door. Room was clean, and our only issue was that the sheets were stiff and noisy. Overall a pleasant stay.

We spent our wedding anniversary visiting here and it was a very nice experience. The rooms were nice and clean. I love the way the rooms are set up with the french doors to seperate the bedroom and living room area, and the room also has a small balcony to look outside and enjoy the scenery! We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast with our stay! Overall our stay was great!

Very Clean, great service. Descent WiFi service included in the room at no charge. Only I was a little disappointed that the pool was removed. Ok I kinda understand the pool but why not at least have a couple of whirlpools for the adults. After walking around old town Alexandria that would have felt great to kick back in.

Enjoyed my business stay at this hotel. Great value to boot! Very welcoming and helpful staff who recognized my new, combined SPG status and put me on the concierge level. Room is spacious, comfortable and nice amenities - love having microwave and fridge. Location is great - can walk around Old Town to the shops and restaurants. Harris Teeter supermarket right next door and a Trader Joe's just a few blocks away. Concierge breakfast was awesome; evenings always had 1-2 hot appetizers, as well as fruit, veggies and other snacks. Only disappointment was pool is under reconstruction. I will stay here again!

The hotel was very nice. But our rooms thermostat didn't work well and the bed had one of those puffy down quilts which makes you hotter than then surface of the sun, so sleep was difficult. And the sheets were the loudest sheets in the world, I think we honestly kept the White House up with our tossing and turning. So in summary very nice place, hard to sleep.

Very pretty and comfortable rooms, very clean the facilities, and the employees are very nice.
I really appreciate that you have a complimentary water in the lobby because Washington DC are very hot in August.
I ate the breakfast in the restaurant and I liked so much, very good flavor Omellete, toast and coffee.
I really recommend this hotel and I will hope stay again.

Minus the fact that the room was about $300 due to the holiday, I woke up in the morning with what appeared to be BED BUG bites on my neck and face! Now after a long trip I have to wash any clothing that was in that room and pray I don't bring an infestation home with me!! And that's not even the best part.

This 'dog friendly' hotel had quite a few LOUD guests (believe it or not, loud noises cause dogs to bark). As soon as I received a call that my dog was barking, I returned to the hotel to find that he was completely quiet, but the room across from us was screaming raucously (at which point he barked a couple of times). Well, he didn't bark anymore for the rest of the night once I was back in the room, so problem solved, right?

NO, because I woke into morning with PROFANE notes from another guest (these notes were not there when I returned to the room to calm the dog down). I took them to the front desk and explained my situation, just to be shrugged off rather rudely from the person there. The least I could have had was some understanding or apology, but instead it's as if I'm some evil demon whose dog unnaturally barks (spoiler alert: dogs make this 'woof' sound frequently.) So basically, if you are harassed during your stay, you better suck it up, and remember that you're paying for that treatment.

Also, the word 'friendly' in 'pet friendly' isn't completely true, as there is no set place for your dog to eliminate. My dog will only eliminate in grass, so I had to find small sections of overgrown grass to walk him in.

Lastly, the package I bought came with the Club Lounge, though when I attempted to access it, my card would not even allow me in.

The staff at the restaurant and room service were spectacular and super nice. I'm happy I can show my appreciation to them through tips, but this hotel in general is not good and those kind people are too good to be working here. This was not in the least worth the price even for a holiday. I've learned my mistake and will stick to the Westin or the Marriott for the rest of my trips.

The room was nice and the location was ideal BUT the deodorizing fragrance sprayed into the room was so overwhelming that I never adjusted to the smell. I could still smell it the next morning after being in the room for 12 hours. I originally switched rooms because of it but the fragrance was in the second room, as well.

This is my go to hotel in the Alexandria area. The staff is always so helpful, with nice rooms. The on site restaurant is very good, but there are also many other options within walking distance. They offer shuttles to the airport and are also dog friendly!
