Great place to stay, free WiFi only in lobby. Food is very pricey at Sheraton. I paid 100 usd for breakfast. Be carefully when offered free stuff, you have to sit through an hour long sales pitch.
Be prepared to receive at least a good amount of "I owe you an apology", really "I apologize", "we are a little behind", "your room is not available yet". Instead of giving a solution and speaking the truth, just "apologize" has not been my best experience in the Sheraton chain, should not show the brand. It was a pity because they had recommended me a lot.
Moderately priced hotel to high standard services sometimes the attention is a bit discourteous tend to be very square in some respects it is amazing that they charge you $ 500 for the use of wi-fi even though you have paid for the room and it is annoying that the Only area in which they have free internet ask you to register your data.
I have been several times in this hotel and, the food is very good especially the fish, the pools are clean every day the events and activities are excellent, the rooms are spacious and comfortable the hotel I love
Where do I even start? This hotel is the BOMB. I was part of a company group with 79 people. We visited Puerto Vallarta in October 2018 and stayed at this beautiful hotel. They went above & beyond with everything but here are some that I remember right now:
**1. On arrival & even on-site restaurant arrivals, they d great us with champaign cups (I think it was juice but still great gesture) **2. On our last day (7th), they saluted us with margaritas & a live Mariachi band plus a short speed from the entire staff giving us thanks for staying with them. **3. On a fancy night, I really wanted to do my hair with an elegant braid so I thought I heard a colleague coming over. When I opened the door, it was Maria, lead maid in charge of our room. I kindly asked her if she knew someone that could do braids and without skipping a beat, she offered to help. Maria did my hair with the most beautiful and elegant braid!!!! **4. During our stay, there was the threat of Hurricane Willa. The hotel was fast to act and provide plan of action. They were incredible the entire time. We were going to be evacuated to a nearby school and within hours the hotel took care of everything all hotel guests needed. Last minute, Hurricane Willa s grade went down and we didn t end up evacuating yet the hotel started working on putting everything back in place (conference room tables/chairs, outside furniture & more). The next business day, they were still working hard at it but it was close to our start of the day and we didn t have a conference room to work. They dropped what they were doing and put together tables, chairs, cables, microphones and everting so we could start working as scheduled, 9 am sharp.
There are sooo many other above & beyond actions taken by the hotel but the 5 above are the ones I could remember at this time.
Trust me, you will be glad you chose you stay at Sheraton Buganvillas.
Its location is very good, a few blocks from the boardwalk and well connected to the rest of the city. It offers good services, however the food and dinner served in its restaurant are very bad. The breakfast buffet is acceptable, but expensive and little varied. The rooms are comfortable and have what you need for a good stay. You must consider that you do not have free internet access in your room and your rates are high if you wish to purchase the service. Currently the palapa is under renovation.
Excellent hotel 4 diamonds, luxurious rooms with personalized air conditioning, the attention by the staff is excellent, in the least they help you, hygiene is the most important part that I could notice and the main thing in the hotel, the food in the buffets is very rich, very comfortable pools, you have the beach less than 50 meters, best of all, the rich heat in that place makes it perfect to be in the water all day.
Nice friendly place, for the most part. When.it gets very busy, some of the niceties slow down a bit. I expected more of the staff would speak better english, but then again, it is not their language. Beautiful gardens and views. Pool is pretty, but chilly at first. They should light it at night for better esthetics.
As a suggestion do not be fooled by the timeshare vendors they offer you free breakfast and other things according to just showing you a new area of the hotel. They make you lose half a day and at least the saleswoman who touched me super annoying and grocer. overall the hotel super nice except that detail
Fiance booked through Expedia and their website messed up our reservations and didnt give us the all inclusive package. This was not the hotels fault but they were not helpful at all. The front desk woman basically said "too bad, get over it and give me 1200$ to get the package" She was not interested in even Looking at our reservation we had printed out. What if we DID pay for the package? She wanted to just charge us again? Everything about the dining at restaurants was very confusing. No direction about how to reserve a table and what restaurants are open what days. Told they had 3 restaurants and they had more. Felt the staff was irritated with us. And every single time we walked by the service desks we were asked if we had done the time share presentation. Which we regretfully had to do (for 3.5 hrs, not the 90 mins promised) because it was the only way to get discounted drinks & meals if we didnt do the all Inclusive. The discounted drinks/food was a paper coupon that we had to carry to the pool everyday. So glad we ended not doing the A.I. The food was bad, impossible to get a dinner reservation. We didnt even get served or asked for a drink order the one night we got a reservation at the Italian restaurant. We sat there for 35 mins and NO ONE acknowledged us. We got up and left. The food is horrible anyway so if we did all A.I. it would have been a total waste of money. We ate out 4 of the 6 nights and spent way less than the A.I. package. Only ONE pool and the room doors slam SO hard even if u try to close them softly, echoes through the halls/rooms. THIS HOTEL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. And the "ocean view room" was falsely advertised. It was BARELY a 5% partial view. The only rooms w full ocean view do not have balconies FYI. It was a nice view of a roof below us. The 125$ charge (not hold) on my credit card just to open the mini bar so I could keep my bottled water cold was ridiculous. They told me it was$100. The mini bar had like 3 sodas and one beer and can only be restocked once a day and u have to pay for them so why do you need to pay to unlock it? It was made for a child. Most of the staff was very rude and gave conflicting info when asked a question and seemed irritated for no reason even though we were very nice to everyone. Maybe because we didnt have all inclusive bracelets on? We just felt uncomfortable and we had been waiting to go on this trip all year and were so excited. We did like that there was a Starbucks at the hotel and the place was clean. The spa was wonderful. But only ONE POOL. The other pool/hot tub is only for the time share holders. Horrible food!! Like really really bad, even for an all inclusive place. Please do not waste your money and time here. Eric H.
It was a real torture people! The air in my room did not help the staff people harass you everywhere to offer you one of your trips, breakfasts, massages, etc. At the bar I ordered 2 drinks and they charged me double the cost of the drinks I mentioned the double charge of the drinks and the staff themselves were annoyed by my claims. It's a lot of what they charge for what people offer, do not stay here
First time in this hotel. We are marriott members and this is a partner hotel. Cleanliness, condition were immaculate. Wonderful views, pool. Hotel has three restaurants and good food at all.
Mur recommended, The truth is very good hotel, excellent service, you enjoy what you pay, without cheating what it offers, very clean and very spacious facilities, very friendly people, drinks are very good quality, all excellent. I'm still staying and I'm very happy with my family !! Thank you
First, I do want to say it is a very nice hotel and check in was great, with the exception of being pressured into buying a time share. That is very annoying, because we were just trying to enjoy our vacation. Second- the bar tenders in the pool area are AWESOME! Third- the food was not great at all. No matter what we ate, it was just okay or it was bad. Fourth- at Check out- the lady was so rude. She refused to look up our account- which we are Titanium Bonvoy level and should have received free WiFi and she charged us and she didn't add the points to the account. I had to call Marriott Bonvoy to have them add it. I just couldn't believe her attitude.. Again, nice resort but I will never stay there again!
Very nice resort. Main hotel is closed and only one restaurant is open because of covid. The pool is a little warmer than I'd like it. Well my stay had a number of issues. The A/C in the room wasn't working. After 3 hours of the front desk telling me that it would be fixed soon and then telling me it was fixed. I finally convinced them to move me at 11pm at night. The first room only had pull out beds from the couches. The second room had bad a/c as well. The third room had working a/c so I took it. All of the hall lights on the floor were out and were not fixed in the 3 days that I was there. I asked to speak to the manager of the hotel and was told he was off-site. I asked for his email address and was told that someone would get back to me. No one ever did. The hotel was uninterested in my concerns. Beware of this hotel. If things work you're good if not too bad for you. The restaurant staff and grounds staff are excellent. Food in the hotel was good but not great.
We were transferred to this resort when our all inclusive was over booked. I can't imagine the original resort could have been as nice as our stay here. Excellent resort. Food was great, lots of activity's
The hotel is located very close to the center of Puerto Vallarta at a distance of 2km or 20 minutes walking to the boardwalk. The rooms and facilities in general are of very good quality as well as the general cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and the toilet is very good. The room that touched me is overlooking the garden on a ground floor with lounge chairs in the garden. Inside the room in a double room with double beds and a couple of chairs with table which are very useful to rest outside the bed. The room has an excellent system of air conditioning and heating. The furniture in the room is of excellent quality and has flat screen and cable service. The only detail is that the pools do not have heating and at certain times of the day they are cold. The jacuzzi is fine as well as the lounge chairs and general areas. It has many services among which include the gym, spa, entertainment areas, etc.
It is a luxurious place with many amenities. What I don't like is that you can't feel comfortable at all there. There are less prestigious hotels where you feel better than at home.
The place was very nice and perfect we got very good service people working there very friendly honestly we enjoy it location was perfect Beech was okay the only thing I advise the people who going there just careful from the timeshare don't waste your time with them we got surprised from the hotel the Giants have internet wi-fi at the room they said you have to pay $5 a day for that service or if you get it free you have to accept presentation for timeshare that's only thing I don't like otherwise everything that's perfect
They refused to refund my reservation even though the cancellation was made due to force majeure (the reservation coincided with the start of the general quarantine).
Hotel with excellent service the fifth star I do not give it to me because I think they have been left behind in the TV update to Smart TV, which in our case although we like to walk also we like to stay one day enjoying our favorite series.
This is a very nice hotel in a good central location to everything in Puerto Vallarta. The rooms are not the fanciest, but they're nice with good views. The service is excellent, with nearly the entire staff being bilingual and extremely courteous and attentive.
FOOD POISONING -- STAY AWAY!!! My wife got food poisoning and we had a horrible night. We left after less than 24 hours and the hotel refused to refund us. We had to get the corporate headquarters of Marriott involved.
The hotel did not do an investigation into what happened to cause the food poisoning. We made a complaint to the Jalisco Health Department (Coprisjal) and I would recommend other guests to do the same.
More generally, this is a 3 star hotel. The grounds are beautiful. It s too bad it s poorly run, in particular the food.
The food would get a poor rating if it wasn t served at a Sheraton. It was consistently disappointing. The service takes a long time. For example we waited 45m for a pizza for the little guy and in the end I just walked to the kitchen itself and the pizza had been sitting there for a while. I took it myself.
The only quality restaurant on the property doesn t allow kids.
The hotel is big and is good located, you can take a walk to the Malecon and find many stores and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the service is nice.
Good hotel in remodeling, excellent location, good seasoning in the food, only the staff of the restaurants did not live up to all the others. I recommend it.
