We went to the interactive buffet, and the food was incredible. Great quality, great value.

Someone asked if the resort was pet- friendly. I'm not sure about the official stance of the resort, but on our visit in 2018 we did see 2 other couples that had small dogs. I would call to confirm.

My husband and I are with a non-profit organization and frequent Shephard's annually. This is our third year working and staying with Shephard's and we have ALWAYS had a pleasant experience but this past Veteran's Day week was EXCEPTIONAL and certainly stood out among past visits! I personally want to thank everyone who devoted their time and hospitality to making our stay at Shephard's one we ALWAYS have to look forward to and are never let down in the slightest!
Cody, was absolutely wonderful and I certainly enjoyed communicating and coordinating with her prior to the dates leading up to our event and after! She is truly a beautiful person on the inside and out and incredibly hard working! Mike, from Maintenance recognized my husband and myself from previous stays and assisted us with several needs to help us prepare for our many events! Terry, from Front Desk, is a breath of fresh air and always has a smile on her face when greeting and assisting guests! David, the Front Desk Manager, offered his help to accommodate several families staying with our organization and for that, I am so deeply grateful!!!! Tommy was our bartender for our Welcome Home Reception held in The Wave and he did a superb job multitasking the orders from numerous men and women at our reception. Our reception was certainly larger than other ones hosted before but I never saw Tommy break a sweat and he kept such a great attitude the entire time he was working and everyone was in positive spirits! A huge shoutout to the entire Banquet's Department for kicking some serious tail on a whim's notice! Amber and Kristy and Anthony were AWESOME and I hope to work with them again in the future! Chris, the manager who assisted in coordinating our Welcome Home event was EVERYWHERE! He went above and beyond to make sure everything was up to standard and we had all we needed and if we did need anything else, he was right on it! We were truly blown away by the dedication everyone displayed to making our stay so accommodating. Shephard's truly has an amazing staff and we are absolutely grateful to work in coordination with everyone there! The resort itself, is BEAUTIFUL, but we are utterly grateful it is filled with such wonderful employees that make our stay one that we have to look forward to every year! And if you see our waiter Chris running around outside taking care of guests, please tell him I said, "Thank You," for the laughs and hard work he does to keeping everyone well hydrated and full! I give this resort 5/5! We certainly look forward to our next visit and seeing everyone again next year!

I came here for brunch and it was amazing. They have everything from crab legs, to traditional breakfast and then even sushi! The endless crablegs are like $15 extra but worth it. They also have bottomless mimosas during brunch. We live close by so we were not staying in the resort, but I'd like to just for a weekend getaway. Its beautiful inside and the beach access is phenomenal. I also saw what appeared to be a large stage for like mini concerts or just live music. Worth checking into. Very chill place.

Great venue for live music! We were there to see Sister Hazel, and enjoyed the entire experience! The bar service was better than the table service, but it was a busy night, so it was understandable that our waiter, Mike was having a hard time keeping up with everything. All of the staff was very nice and helpful. I look forward to our next visit!

I love this place me and my friends have an incredible time every time we come but the customer service when I called to book a room was extremely rude, and really just hung up the phone on me. What a disappointment.

Great spot! Was there for a 5 day stay with my work team and we all loved it. There is always something going on and everything you need is a quick walk away.

Shepards is an upscale resort situated with amazing beach views from their rooms. The rooms themselves are very beautifully decorated, and exceptionally clean. The Nightlife is intriguing, with a tiki bar and a nightclub. They also have a very nice Buffet, and valet parking. All in all, it's a must-see must see if you're visiting Clearwater Beach

I came here last year for my anniversary and had a wonderful time. This year came with family and my beach side room for $220 a night had ants I had to call for twice . I was unable to move rooms as none available and when I checked in they held $150 deposit which should only be $50 I m disappointed!!!

Fun place. Too many idiots on Jet Skis. Definitely not for kids, which is good for adults, as long as other parents go to other resorts. Water is refreshing, the resort is vibrant. Didn't club it, beyond the club scenes. But day libations and relaxation on the beach with a bit of activities were solid.

Great seafood and beef. Good service and atmosphere. Overpriced. Great location. But not what it used to be, unfortunately.

Absolutely one of my favorites pricey but worth every penny and you can sit outside if you want on the water it is great great atmosphere Greek food

A very diverse Buffet on Clearwater Beach right on the Gulf

This place is worth staying at!!! My wife and I got married here and it was awesome!!! Couldn't ask for a better place!!! The lady named Sharon there is a really nice lady! The live concerts are awesome since you can stay on your balcony and watch them. The pool area is nice and you can order food there or get some drinks at the bar down from the pool. In general, this place is an awesome place for adults to get away for a couple days and it really is worth the money!!!!

So far soo Christmas!! Enjoying it, music is actually not as loud as people claim, we have 2 toddlers and they have been enjoying themselves every bit of the way. Only things we could ask for is a massage place and beds to be a little more fluffy. Food, drinks, pool, live bands (our kids first concert) are the 4 stars, last star is for the staff, no one acts stuck up like other places we have been! We forget to take down the do not disturb sign the 2nd day, concierge called us to check if everything was ok and if we needed at least towels. Loved that! No one entered with out permission, I really appreciated that! We will check out the buffet & jet skis and be able to give more detailed review tomorrow. Merry Christmas Shephards Beach Resort!!

Lunch on the waterfront deck was great. Blackened fish tacos are awesome! Great music too, definitely worth a visit.

Recommended 100%, the location is perfect, the hotel is clean, the staff nice, Very good hotel, very comfortable, close to the main restaurants, we went out walking daily to find the restaurants, in the hotel the very good Tiki Bar, in the Afternoons from 6pm to 10pm there is live music, the bar prices are the same as those of the other restaurants nearby, in general I would go back again, and the guys from the valet parking, great, thanks for everything.

This is the fun and entertainment resort on Clearwater Beach. Great food and drink with live music, comfortable facilities and excellent staff. The resort has its own stretch of beach, wave runners and more. Come and enjoy yourself!

I attented a musical event at the resort and it was fantastic.. Beautiful Sunset View.. Great Pool and Deck and the have a small Beach! The food is Excellent no need to go anywhere else? Beer and drinks are cheep and overall great experience...

Love this place. Best hotel in Clearwater if your looking for all night fun. The bar and club is open the latest so everyone end up here. I stay here often and always enjoy the experience

We didn't get to stay here....just LOVED the view from the boat while trying to catch some "fresh tacos". ;)

Shepherd's had an impressively good sound system, which is important when major electronic music acts come through. I wish the space was a little more open and spacious but I understand you have to work with what you have. Overall, I've had nothing but great times at shepherd's.

If you want to drink and party, this is the place for you! Unfortunately, that's not me. The crowd is mostly 40+ which is my age group, but we're not hardcore partiers. Live music EVERY night sounds great til you try to sleep. Even during the day, loud music is playing and goes to midnight except Saturday when it goes til 2am or later. Plus, there was a jetski rally and they literally took over the swimming area and bar. Paying guests were told the mgmt was "trying" to do something, but it took 4 hours for the police to get involved and move most (but not all!) of them out. The only bright spot was that mgmt readily refunded us our last night stay so we could stay at another hotel. The hassle is worth it just on principle. Treat your paying guests better than the riff raff that comes in to take over the place! Never ever coming to Clearwater beach again!

Noisy....very plain rooms. Away from the Marina. Lots of rough locals hit the bar here. Nasty spot.

Miss the old days before they became strict with dress code

Nice waterfront setting with free valet parking. Food was OK.

Because the dress code is literally awful for men. You can t wear tank tops or jeans. So that really doesn t give you much option. So prior to going make sure you have a change of clothes in the car before you pay $30 for parking.

Really enjoyed staying here. This was my first trip to Clearwater, Florida and I have to say I will definitely return. The hotel was clean, the staff was nice and there were always chairs by the pool. The only thing I did not like was that the beach at this hotel would not allow food or your own drinks, so you would have to purchase the hotels. Other than that I really enjoyed my time here.

My fiance and I eat here on vacation and will get married here! Sandy is a pleasure to work with and im sure she will make our special day perfect!

The tiki bar was fun and the DJ was awesome in the club. Admission was 7 bucks for residents which was pretty on point for the location

Really want to love this place. Great concept, great staff. Everything is for sale. The private beach is all rental space, the pool cabanas are rentals, the water sports are rentals, even the float floating out in the golf you need to pay for to swim to it. Not only as a resort goer are you needing to pay for almost every part of your stay separately, the resort is for sale to everyone else too. Big local hangout, you share this rented space with not only resort goers but anyone else who wonders in. Great idea but they are trying way to hard to make more and to market to too many people. Local hangout? Resort for families? Spring break party spot? What is it, you can't have it all. Unfortunate, place is really nice and could be perfect if they choose a market and stuck to it. Let's see what the future holds.

Great staff! Great drinks! Great view! Great Atmosphere! Nothing bad to say about Shepherd's, will be visiting again!

The dining/buffet review:
Since the renovations, the quality has spiraled downward. The cost is now $32.95, the variety of food has decreased tremendously, the portions available are significantly less and if you come with a guest who does not want the buffet, they are forced to eat outside off the menu and not with your family; the choices and taste of food were definitely not as good as before the renovations. I went to get a salad and only a couple choices to chose from and the availability was in a size of a soup bowl; did not see the food variety at all and the taste was not the same as well. Our bill for 3 adults and 1 child was $119 and some change. I had a $100 gift card plus $100 cash to pay the bill, the waitress took my $100 cash and the $19 off the card. Now who in their right mind would agree to that even if I loved the place? I am sure the majority of your guests are vacationers so wouldn't you take the balance of card first? I made sure that was requested because the probability of us returning like we have been for the last 6 yrs is 0%. We were completely dissatisfied with the food quality, selection, service and the price. You increased your prices I am sure to cover the costs of the upgrade that honestly I like before. The set up was more relaxing and the food quality and variety was much better. Last year my decision was it all looks so good what to chose? I wish you would go back to what you had before. I guess this shows sometimes new and improved isn't necessarily the case and some things should be left alone. We used to talk about this place and how much we couldn't wait to go back and unfortunately that will not be said this year. I wouldn't recommend this place. It is not worth the money at all. If the food variety and quality was the same, we would have not been upset about paying a higher price than last year. Think twice before going is my recommendation. Last year I gave this a 5 star rating. This year, I gave 1 and that's because 0 wasn't an option.

We had an appointment here to check out this location as a possible venue for a wedding this summer. As far as clearwater beach goes, this location may have the most bang for your buck. Our relatives ultimately decided on a different location.

This place feels like an upscale beach resort for the stars! The beautiful sparkling pool with a waterfall overlooks the ocean. Plenty of seating in the sun and in the shade available. There's also tables and chairs available for eating a meal/snack and cocktails. There's I believe 2 bars outside on the patio and fine dining on the inside as well as something more affordable. This is a one of a kind resort which offers incredible rooms for your overnight/vacation needs, a dance club indoors which has 2 levels, an amazing outside patio concert club area with VIP seating available for purchase with bottle service. Plenty of room to dance and intermingle with friends/family during their awesome weekend shows! The light show at night during their beach party with famous DJ's and artists coming almost every weekend! Tickets are available online or at the door. Security is prepared and well executed throughout the venue. Safety is something they take very seriously and I appreciate that! The food is incredible, the atmosphere is even better! If you're not staying at the hotel, you can pay for a day pass to come and swim and enjoy the amenities available. It is a must see and experience kind of place! To feel young and carefree on a tropical paradise will absolutely blow your mind! I promise you will love it and remember how you felt when looking back. So look on their website and find a weekend to let yourself get lost in paradise, enjoy the music, the food, the rooms, the pool, and best of all..... The experience! Sheppard's Beach resort is an experience you must indulge in! I can't wait to finally get a chance to stay a night there, it's a disabled woman's dream! I want to get lost in it all! I've been to it all except overnight! So I'm ready, are you?? Book NOW, you won't regret it!! Enjoy y'all!!!

My first visit was for edm Sunday Borgeous concert. Loved the venue, staff, and the atmosphere. ^.^

I was forced to leave because I was HOT.... that's right because I was HOT. I sat down to cool off.... because it's a beach in Florida, my friend went to get me a water. Before I knew it a security officer asked me if I was okay, I told him I was fine just hot. Two seconds later I'm surrounded by three security officers telling me to leave. I asked why? They had no response. My friend and I said that's ridiculous and walked back to where our things were on the beach. We were then followed by the security officers and again told to leave. We asked why we were being asked to leave and this time the excuse was because management said so.... of course, we asked to speak to the manager. Instead of calling the manager the security called two police officers to where we were sitting who also told us we had to leave. Again when we asked why? There was no explanation.... we just had to. We collected our things and was escorted through hundreds of people staring at us as though we were criminals, when again, we did absolutely nothing wrong. Finally the "manager" met us at the front who again we asked why we had to leave and her response was because she "trusts her security". So the security said it was management and the management said it was security. We said that made no sense, because it didn't... obviously someone is lying here. So the officers decided to give us an ultimatum (while walking toward out the front) of either leaving the premises or going to jail, when again we were already walking out so that was completely unnecessary. We asked if we had to leave because of the way we looked? (Being two of the maybe 6 brown people there) and his response was "we can tell you to leave for whatever reason we want, it can be because of the way you look, or because you have flowers in your hair. It's private property so we don't have to have a reason." I replied well, I guess this is trump America to which the officer replied, "Yes it is." Long story short, spend your money here at your own risk, but just know you can be asked to leave at any time for any reason and they have the "right" to do so. Enjoy !

Awesome buffet, awful service. We were there Saturday 5/4. We paid extra for the crab legs, had to keep asking for more legs. I and my wife asked 2 different waiters for napkins. Table was a mess. For a 100$ would think service would be commensurate with price. Especially given the fact most of us live on the mainland and going over on the weekends are no picnic. Will be looking for a like restaurant elsewhere unfortunately .

Seemed cool, couldn t wait to check it out and party. However we got there at midnight and they close at 12:30, however nobody let us know that. They charged 10 dollars per person which I get because the atmosphere is cool. After we got in my husband and brother in law went to get drinks and the cool bartender with the headband was extremely rude. I m a bartender and I ve never been treated like that before, our group left immediately after and I let the front guys know which is why I gave two stars here because the front guys handled the situation so well by refunding us our hundred dollars and offering to let us in for free and buy us a drink. We were there to spend money and they lost it because their bartender needs to learn what hospitality is.

My boyfriend and I went there with his family. There is great live music and good food although the food and drinks are expensive. We both ordered mixed drinks which came out to about $14 for both of us. Beers are less expensive.

This place is really fun on Sunday nights. There's a live DJ with a massive stage and dance floor with a full bar available. My biggest complaint is the dress code, it's beach attire so no denim shorts but cargo shorts are acceptable and other dumb rules that are unreasonable.

This place is amazing. It's a family oriented resort by day and a turns into a hopping night club at night. Crazy. And super beautiful and fun place to visit.
