Family trip to Singapore for a week. 2 bedrooms in the "garden wing" pool view. I have known the hotel for 20 years. I was not disappointed even though some points should be improved: slow table service, average breakfast buffet (fruit not good, little choice of bread), bird problem, pool partition useless and troublesome for swimming (This does not prevent children from jumping into the deep.

All very pleasant as usual. However there was one issue this time, but finally it was sorted

I booked an Horizon Club room but i was allocated a standard double on lower floor, no amenities, etc. I complained via email to all the address i had of the hotel/customer service and finally the second day i got duty manager to send excuses and was upgraded to a Valley Wing room, which was much appreciated and compensated for the first night in a lower category room. Big question is: how is ti possible that front desk staff despite my remarks still told me "sorry that's all that we have available"! I booked well in advance and you do not downgrade a guest if you have an issue but you upgrade him! basic lesson for front staff.

I appreciate the new entrance to the Gym, it is way better to access changing room instead of gym directly, But... when will you upgrade the whole gym and spa? Steam room, sauna, whirpool all veeeery old. You have big area at disposal: ask a competent architect to review the area and you will have the best spa in Singapore (competition in this area is very poor in Singapore: very few nice relaxation areas in Singapore hotel so you can benefit greatly with new saunas, steam baths, super whirlpool, jets, etc. Stressed out international travelers will love it

Also, the inside whir-pool is way too hot!! Impossible to bath!! And even if you manage to finally enter you do not resist for more than literally 2 minutes.
And the outside whirpool is ridiculous: no power at all! Change them both!

Yoga classes in the garden a very nice touch and teacher very good. But why 2 classes only across the whole week??? Other shangri la hotels have more classes. Have more classes of yoga with the French teacher: she is super good and training in the garden a wonderful experience you should value more to offer. Its just so cheap for you to just pay a few more hours to her and you will offer a great service to us.

Please improve!

I will be back in February to check the improvement! I am about to make new booking with you because of course a part from the criticism it is my favorite hotel in Singapore, and i am an expert about hotels ;-)

You can't lose with Shangri La especially the mother shop in Singapore a true urban resort that will give you everything you need, from hospitality, ammemdenties; and especially if u have kids, best hotel to stay in Singapore if u r bringing a young family

The good - the reception staff was very accommodat...

The good - the reception staff was very accommodating to our requests. Got a welcome upgrade to Valley Wing on account of Jade status. But it had to take some requests. The wait staff at Valley Wing were exceptionally attentive and polite.

The bad - room 658 at Valley Wing appear to be malfunctioning. Got a technician to fix it but the room was still warm. The entire family had a rough night s sleep.

We have a fantastic experience from the moment we walked into Shangri La Singapore after our 10 day holiday across Thailand and staying in all Marriott Properties. A welcoming doorman, concierge and a super sweet lady at the reception who attended to us (sorry forgot her name). In all hotels we have lived in, the first thing that is demanded are passports followed by a credit card, but in this case when i offered both, she mentioned that there was no hurry and she would take the details in the comfort of our room once we checked in. We are Shangri La Jade members and were delighted when we got upgraded to the family themed suites (our was under water). Not only were my daughters (7 and 11) thrilled out of their wits but my hubby and me were delighted with the access to the Horizon lounge and the cocktails which came alongside every evening... the view was splendid too. A special shout out to Mia Tan for the lovely hand written personalized note and the welcome message by Bipan Kapur... The super cute kid toiletries, kid sized slippers and bath room is the first we have experienced... and the kids didn't want to leave Buds and had a ball in the outdoor water park... it was the perfect end to a perfect summer vacation... Thank you Shangri La for the wonderful memories.

Superb 5 star hotel in Singapore. Very good service. Walking distance from Orchard Road (major shopping avenue), and yet it remains quiet and relaxing when you go back to the hotel. Will return.

I have nothing but praises for the high standard and excellent services provided during my stay in Shangri-La hotel.
My sincere thanks to the lady lifeguard who saved my son from drowning at the swimming pool! All thanks to her high alert and observance of the surrounding!
Food was excellent at Waterfall, service staffs were all so friendly and smiley. Love it!
Kids already requested for a staycation again at Shangri-La. They can't wait to go back to buds and Splashzone!

Very memorable staycation and my whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was perfect from property, friendly/helpful staff and the kids activities (splash zone and buds). We were celebrating my wife's birthday and the hotel also sent us a cake. Klook deal was great and perfectly crafted for a family with young kids. Breakfast selection using the app was a bit of a hassle compared to the typical buffet as the portion is fixed but due to social distancing rules, it is understandable. My younger daughter cried the night after wanting to go back to our "new home". It was that good.

We love Shangri La! SO do our children...everything is awesome.

The buffet is a bit disorganized and we found some of the food was cold, but the family area is great!

The only other issue was the early closing of the pool. 9 or 10pm would be much better.

I was first being accommodated at Room 808 for 11 ...

I was first being accommodated at Room 808 for 11 days, then transferred to Room 1435 by one of your coordinators, Zoe, because there was a leak in the shower for all those 11 days. She was prompt to react and took immediate action which I greatly appreciated. Both rooms were amazing with awesome views. The team at Shangri-la were very nice to make sure that our stay was as pleasant as possible with all the daily SHN activities and Hosan entertained us with all his quizes.

Meals were promptly delivered on time, towels and linens were at our front door coffee table on the specific days as promised. The only thing that I did not quite fancy were the meals. Breakfast were delightful but not the lunches and dinners. Nothing wrong with them, just that they were just not to my appetite. And even if they were to my liking, I find that the portions were kind of small especially if I was a man. Other than the meals, everything was just perfect. The room was spacious, everything inside was so pleasant.

I have enjoyed every minute of my 14 days SHN thoroughly at Shangrila and I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for that memorable time.

Your team did a great job! Congratulations! I will surely recommend this hotel to all my friends visiting Singapore.

Our experience in the Valley Wing was excellent. S...

Our experience in the Valley Wing was excellent. Staff and service was first class.
However, service at the pool area was non existent, having to fetch own towels, no bottled water available, water containers not filled and no food service readily available. Very poor experience for the nine days we used the facility.
The food in the Waterfall restaurant was also poor, ate there one lunchtime and one evening and sent back dishes on both occasions. Food in Shang Palace was very good as was the service.

I had dinner buffet at The Line. There is a huge variety of food. Their bread pudding is amazing. However, their local food and dim sum e.g. fishball noodles, laksa, were disappointing, considering the price point. There is nothing special for their wagyu beef dishes.

We were very happy to be able to return to the hotel. We really love the welcome that we received from all staff. In my opinion the rooms are some of the best we stay in. The service throughout our stay was friendly and warm.

Excellent staycation for my wife's birthday. The buffet dinner at The Line was a hit with the kids, who rated it even above the indoor children's playground! Service overall was excellent which is typical of what one expects at any Shangri La Hotel worldwide.

This is a great hotel where you can enjoy the resort feeling while in the middle of Singapore. Although the garden and the pool are compact, the atmosphere is very calm. Ideal for relaxing on a short break.

when we were dining at chinese restaurant, we had to sit at 2 separate tables as we had 6 people. Some staff advised that we can order a set menu and share among the two tables. However, another group insisted we cannot interact. Waitresses are not consistently trained on what is allowed and what is not.

Enjoyed our family staycation at the Garden Wing O...

Enjoyed our family staycation at the Garden Wing One Bedroom Suite. We were delighted with the surprise decor that Shangri-La team put up in the bedroom for our 2-yr old birthday boy. It was a hassle-free trip with his playpen, bathtub, high chair, food warmer and stroller all provided for. The newly open splash zone was fun for the whole family.

We would like to thank a few people for making this a smooth stay:
- Ms Lee Mei Wen from reservations team accommodated all our last-minute requests and was responsive to our queries.
- Mr Hatim Zubair for spontaneously arranging for a mini birthday cake while we were having our buffet dinner at The Line.
- Ms Mica for communicating via whatsapp, regarding the time to send our birthday cake up to our suite to celebrate with our extended family.

Would highly recommend this family-friendly hotel to our friends for a delightful experience. :)

I wish to lodge a complaint.
Everything's so awesome about your hotel that my kids didn't want to go home.

Nah. Truly, the experience was fabulous right from the beginning. Reservations, clarifications of some changes to the plans, check-in, etc.

Stayed here during one of the busiest times of the year, but every single staff remained composed, polite and friendly. Not an easy feat amid this mad chaos of Covid-19 crisis, and we could tell that your hotel is very well-organised.

We've stayed in many 5-star hotels locally and overseas and we could say that Shangri-la is definitely highly recommended!

Over roll we were satisfied the stay. However we experienced aircon issue during midnight while we were sleeping but woke up by the warm temperature due to aircon was not working.
In addition, the toilet is not well cleaned and maintained. The odor last even we requested a detail clean.

Walked in for breakfast in the morning. Besides the well-known array of food choices, the service was well beyond expectations.
There was more than enough staff to clear tables promptly, along with the fact that they were kind and attentive unlike many other hotels.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Valley Wing Shangri-La . The staff are always on hand to help, and make your stay perfect. Food at the Shangri-La is very good, we enjoyed all the restaurants, had a lovely steak at the new Origin grill, staff there were lovely. Rooms are amazing and cleaned to a high standard, fruit and chocolate left every day. Looking forward to returning.

The service is great!

The service is great!
There is no problem with cleaning and cleaning of facilities that are not new.
The breakfast buffet is an incomparable variety of dishes, yet it is delicious and full.

Shangri-La Singapore lives up to its name of class and hospitality at its best. With warm smile and greetings from the doormen to all other personnel, they make you feel welcome. Huge lobby and lounge area even at their busiest time of the day, you do not feel cramp nor crowded.

Thanks for upgrading us to Valley Wing!

Room 751: shower room is extremely dangerous. My 5 years old boy stepped in and slipped on the slippery wet floor. Thank God he didn't hit his head. He saved me as well. If he didn't slip, I wouldn't pay much attention to it, and then if I slipped, I would get seriously injured.

Strongly suggest Shangri-la to change the shower room floor tiles to non-slippery tiles to prevent injury.
