I came to see the concert, and I came back to the stage. I would like to visit the Tate Modern Museum next door.

One of my strongest recommendations for a visit in london go to globe theater and catch a Shakespearean play. Its both a piece of history and an elegant piece of history worth every bit of your time.
Curious but loses its charm when you find out that it is not at all original, rebuilt.
It is a fairly faithful reconstruction of what Shakespeare's theater would be like in his day. The room seems incredible to me, very pretty with the well-cared details to be as similar as possible to the original, the talk of the guide as well. Maybe what did not attract me so much was the museum itself, it's a very short tour and that maybe makes it a little forgettable if we compare it with other tourist attractions in the city.
Love the interactive aspect of macbeth. Try to be close to the stage for a good view and a small percentage of protection from the rain if standing.
Awesome Riverside views of St Paul's cathedral and the city of London, variety of beers and nice food menu. Very close to the theatre where you can enjoy a live performance for only a fiver.
I came here with someone who is disabled and found the staff very helpful. The globe itself is a lovely place to visit.
Enjoyed the tour and a performance of Much Ado...in the snow!
A recreation of Shakepeares Globe theatre. Apart from the tour there are displays and exhibits and regular special activities. Recommend booking your tour time in advance
Only had a drink outside but the service was prompt and efficient. The loos were clean!
The theater is really small and the obligatory guided tour lasts about 40 minutes, unfortunately it is in English and there is nothing in the shop or information in Italian except a sheet of paper with some explanation. But the guide was very good, spoke well, punctuated the words, so you could understand quite well. The theater is really a jewel. A must see.
Fantastic setting, a really great atmosphere to watch Shakespeare can't recommend highly enough!
Nice atmosphere. But quite small and underwhelming. Gift shop heavily overpriced.
Magnificent! Second visit and love this place - the ambience, the history, the people!
Fascinating building with great tours! Definitely would recommend to others
Great experience for a bit of English culture. Loved 'Comedy of Errors' but it did help to read a brief synopsis of the play beforehand!
If you are the Shakespeare's fan, this is a must go place to visit.lots of his documents, products here.
A wonderful and fascinating place, you can breathe the history of humanity and of the Shakespearean theater, a place of worship to know, maintain, admire and preserve. There are not enough words to express the power of the Globe.
Looks amazing, did not have a chance to catch a show, but would have loved to
What a perfect venue to take the magical journey into Shakespeare's world of drama and verse. A wonderfully intimate venue which ensures you find yourself fully within the heart of the action. So don't worry about the iambic pentameter or rhyming couplets, you'll get the message!
An interesting place to see Shakespeare for a few pounds
More than a theatre. Great history lesson included in the tour.
Magical place! You must vist if ever You are in London.
Our tour guide, Javier was absolutely AMAZING. His lecture was funny but also very informative. The building... however this is the third Globe so impressive. And so good to see that the stuff really enjoys to work there. Highly recommended.
This ancient theater is really worth a visit: a guided tour in English that opens up a world of English theater and its most famous writer. A curiosity: since there was no artificial lighting at the time, the shows were staged at 2 pm
Incredibly cool, the tour guide was brilliant. The museum part is very illuminating.
A must see for everyone who loves Shakespeare. Tour is really intersting and informative. If you really wanna treat you to something special enjoy a show at the globe, tickets start at only 7 pound
Mark, our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. A true expert.
First time ever at the Globe. Amazed and thrilled. It was brilliant. ( 12th Night )
Had a great experience here back in September with a friendly and informative tour guide. Brought some family along who thoroughly enjoyed his tour and found him funny and entertaining. Worth paying for the experience to see around the theatre and hear some history on the building (also it is very inexpensive). We were also able to see some rehearsals in the globe, which was nice. Especially without all the crowds, giving you time to take in the building. Would not have thought to take the tour previously, until it had been suggested by others. Definitely worth putting on your to-do list as a tourist or if showing visitors around London.
We had a wonderful group visit on Wednesday 12 June 2019 at 10:15 with Jane who was an exceptional guide. She interacted with our students and made this visit very lively. Thank you very much Jane, the students told us you were great !
Beautiful surroundings and great guides full of energy and knowledge Shakespeare's at its best. The costume demonstration is actually very interesting
Beautiful replica of Shakespeare's Globe, which stood here since 1599. Well located on the Thames and over the Millennium bridge to reach. Impressive, what must have happened here over 400 years ago. In front of the Globe Theater always long queue with tourists.
I was there with my daughter to see the comedy store players. A great evening. Such a brilliant building.
Really good to see the theaters and how it's been restored to its former glory
I just love the Globe. Open air theatre, lovely and passionate staff and great acting! Don't be scared to stand up in the groundlings for 5pounds it is a great experience (the actors love to play with the audience!). Do the tour as well, it is worth it.
I was insanely looking forward to this but it was not worth the money. To be clear: I only took the tour so I can't say anything about a play. The tour cost me 20 , which is quite a lot for a 45min tour. However, I would have gladly payed it if I had actually seen something. It's not worthy of the name "tour" because you don't move around the place. We were immediately taken outside to the courtyard were plays are held. And there we stayed for the duration of the "tour". We didn't get see anything else. No backstage, no gallery, no costumes, nothing! And although the courtyard was lovely, it's not enough to call this a tour nor to justify the price. I've heard that they just recently decided to close everything (gallery and so on) for the public! First of all: why in 7 hells would you take that opportunity away from people?! And second, then they should lower their prices drastically! On the plus side, our guide was clearly a very passionate Shakespeare fan, who really made me want to come back to watch a play. Entertaining guy and great storyteller.
If you're a theatre person or a Shakespeare fan, this is a must see. I also highly recommend the guided tour of the surrounding area because you get to see the excavation of The Rose theatre and the original site of the Globe. They sell groundling tickets for the shows for 5 pounds, and you can come and go as you please.
Really good veg board to share in the Swan and a stunning performance of Emilia in the fab Globe, really the best and only place to see Shakespeare and plays of the similar period. A great night's entertainment
Almost perfect mix of Shakespearian and contemporary produces unforgettable experience.
fun way to watch Shakespeare. it threatened rain and a few planes went over, but all part of the atmosphere... great as it goes into dusk (for an evening show). standing tickets are super cheap, and I had no trouble standing through Twelfth Night even though I am recovering from a broken ankle.
Very good acting best midsummer's night dream I have seen
Friendly guides. There are many interesting things about Shakespeare and London in his time.
It's not the most comfortable theatre in the world but the overall effect felt more like a sporting event than a stuffy & commercial West End or Broadway production. Or maybe closer to street theatre with high production values, so that it felt authentic to be in the crowd as participant than spectator. You've never really seen Shakespeare until you experience it in this theatre.
Thank you Sam Wanamaker for your vision and everyone who helped revive this gem.
The tour guide was excellent. Sadly I can't remember her name but she made this so much better.
Great atmosphere. The plays are on regularly and are always so good
Guided tour of 40 min is very good, must be busy with lots of different groups visiting, worth taking the tour at 09:30 or 10:00 in the morning.
Amazing place to see a show just remember that the stop doing tours after 120? In the summer.
Nice show of A midsummer nightdream, fabulous, witty and sometimes clownish. An experience and the entourage of the theater contributed to this.
Worth a visit to see a play as performed in Shakespeare's day. Worth getting a cushion to sit on as benches are hard on the bottom.
Super informative and interesting tour! Found out lots of neat facts
Amazing theatre, full of character. When we went a Shakespeare play was being performed which added to the character. While the seating area is under cover, if it rains when it's windy you will probably get wet. It is also worth paying for a cushion as the benches are very hard.
I'm not a theater/history buff. Mu wife and daughter drug me here. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. The tour guide was awesome. His tour was like a performance.
I do not recommend the guided tour, it is only in English, short and very expensive for what it is. One disappointment, luckily it was with the london pass and I did not feel so much the loss of money
Always love it and despite the terrible weather ,it was pouring and bitterly cold , a brilliant performance. My one gripe ,the stewards could have been a little kinder in such awful weather they were not very understanding . We were standing and obviously trying to get a little shelter and warmth but felt quite hassled by them . I know they have a job to do and health n safety is vital but the attitude of one or two of them was not really very nice.
Very nice. With 17 pounds, the theater tour is not cheap. Anyone interested in Shakespeare should do it. Everyone else should consider if it's worth it. We found the tour so far so great.
Great play!! I saw Othello and got a seat on the top level (covered) in case it wasn't a dry afternoon. The seats are uncomfortable so I definitely recommend getting a cushion.
I mean, it's the freaking globe! Such a cool space, and too notch acting in a way you don't usually see. Standing the whole time is an effort, but a very cool experience.
The Shakespearean Theater is a must-see tour and if there is a show it is worth seeing. The theater maintains the old tradition of quality theater. The venue itself is an amazing restoration of the iconic theater presented by Del Dykespeare plays. The restoration is so faithful to the original that they tried to establish it in the place closest to the original. The original place was occupied so his son was closest to the local place. The tour is excellent.
Reproduction of a theater from the time of Shakespeare
