Sensational. Unmissable
Buy the guided tour is if you're lucky like me, you'll have a young lady in love with Shakespeare and the history of English theater. Besides the visit, it has a wonderful museum and interactive games for the kids. The store is nice too. Super recommend it.

Given the various fires that struck it over the centuries, Shakespeare's Globe was however faithfully and amazingly rebuilt. Inside you can breathe a mystical air that takes you back to the era of Shakespeare's representations. I recommend everyone to pay a visit because it is really worth it

Saw a Winter's Tale here a couple of weeks ago and it was incredible. Beautiful theatre, friendly staff, world class performers. Dress for the weather and bring a hat for the afternoon sun. Would go again in a heartbeat!

I went on an absolutely fascinating tour of the Globe recently. The tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and bought the whole place to life with her stories and observations. I'm amazed more people don't consider a trip here. It's a must-see attraction.

Normally I'm not the guy for all that cultural and historical stuff, but our tour guide (I think her name was Natalia) was super nice and made it interesting also for teens who normally don't like such a building... and in generell it was very interesting and not just a boring museum!

the globe theatre is one of the best theatre experiences in London. I have yest to attend a play that I would criticise. Standing tickets are 5 pounds and allows the viewer to get closer to the action on stage. If it rains bring a mac as the theatre is open air. Highly enjoyable experience and highly recommended to anyone coming to London. Plays are not limited to Shakespeare.

A very pleasant and lively guided tour with a passionate guide, Fred. Be careful the Globe can only be seen by guided tour and there is a separate entrance for these tours. Be careful the tour is entirely in English.

Went to see Richard IV (Part I) which is really an amazing play. The medieval king opens and closes the drama, but story for the king s son Prince Hal, later Henry V, also a young English hero, Hotspur, the rebellious Henry Percy. The history is almost overwhelmed by the iconic larger-than-life character of Falstaff. Directed by Sarah Bedi and Federay Holmes in collaboration with the Globe Ensemble, the production is full of intelligent detail and regularly bursts into life interacting with the audience.

Great representation of an old theatre. The actors were phenomenal and made the play delightful. We were happily pleased with the play and theatre. We definitely recommend this to anyone visiting London. It allows one a view into the past.

A wonderful experience and a must for every theater lover. The work is lived standing up, paying 5 pounds for entry into the yard. If it rains, no umbrella, so as not to disturb the vision of those behind you.

The actors run in the yard and interact with the public, and the show is unique every time. An unforgettable magic.

Replica of the original Globe Theater completed in the 1990s. Live performances here still honor the standing area just before the stage at a ticket price less than you'd pay for a movie and seating in the stands surrounding the stage.

Highly recommend the open-air theater experience on a warm evening.

Painstakingly rebuilt at almost same location and with same materials as original Shakespeare s Globe. Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) holds Shakespeare productions. Be aware it is open so if you book stalls (great Acustics) and it rains then you get wet. No umbrellas allowed.

Inside Globe is also Sam Wanamaker s theatre which is a King James period theatre. Very nice atmosphere with only candle lighting.

About Shakespeare's Globe

Shakespeare's Globe is a world-renowned theatre, education centre, and cultural landmark located on the bank of the River Thames in London, UK. The Globe is not just a theatre but an institution that has been dedicated to preserving and promoting Shakespeare's legacy for over 400 years. It is also always open online, making it accessible to people from all over the world.

The Globe was founded by Sam Wanamaker in 1997 as a reconstruction of the original Globe Theatre where Shakespeare's plays were performed during his lifetime. The new building was constructed using traditional methods and materials to create an authentic Elizabethan experience for audiences.

Today, the Globe offers a wide range of performances throughout the year including Shakespeare's plays as well as contemporary works inspired by his legacy. The theatre has become known for its innovative productions that push boundaries while still staying true to Shakespeare's vision.

In addition to performances, the Globe also serves as an education centre offering workshops and courses for students of all ages. These programs are designed to help people understand and appreciate Shakespeare's work while also developing their own skills in acting, writing, directing or other aspects of theatre production.

The Globe is not just a physical location but also an online platform that provides access to its resources from anywhere in the world. This includes live streams of performances as well as educational content such as podcasts and videos that explore different aspects of Shakespeare's life and work.

One unique feature of the Globe is its commitment to sustainability. The building uses renewable energy sources such as solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems which help reduce its carbon footprint while also providing a model for other institutions around the world.

Overall, Shakespeare's Globe is much more than just a theatre – it is an institution dedicated to preserving one of history’s greatest playwrights' legacy while inspiring future generations with his timeless works. Whether you're visiting London or accessing their resources online from anywhere in the world – there’s something here for everyone who loves great literature or wants to learn more about it!
