A wonderful experience. Pericles is not as popular as other Shakespeare plays, can seem incomprehensible or crazy, but it was played with passion, humour and clarity. So, the performance s are very good, and the venue is just marvellous. Forgot that I was standing up for 3 straight hours. Magical. Go to an evening performance and stand up in the pit, experience the sky slowly darkening and the audience around you being drawn into the drama.

Sam Wanamaker Theatre. Much more intimate, warmer and quieter (no jets overhead) than the more familiar Globe.

The performance of A Midsummer Nights Dream was amazing, even if we were a little cold.

Guide only in English ... you see only the theater and if they are rehearsing they take you out of the room ... it is understood but I consider that the entrance would have to be a voluntary contribution

Great venue, beautifully maintained and affordable tickets.

We saw Hamlet and the iconic venue. The performance was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Away from the performance and the lighting, music and props were great too. We were in the standing area which back in the 1600s was reserved for the commoners which we found amusing. During the intermission there were refreshments that we could buy too. All in all a great night out

This Shakespeare theater is an important place for tourists and tourists to visit London. The surroundings of the same associate with the past and simply captivate with its age and beauty.

Beautiful place you should visit. You can really imagine Shakespeare plays being performed here in the old days.

Try a groundling ticket! You get used to standing and it provides an accessible price point to excellent theatre with a historical experience thrown in for good measure (for measure!)

Recreation of the Elizabethan theater of Shakespeare in the center. In it traditional works of W. Shakespeare are represented in a traditional way, although works by other dramatists are being demanded

It was ok. I didn't know what to expect when I signed up for the tour but it basically is a tour of the reconstructed Globe Theater with a guide who gives you information about Shakespeare and the history of Theater. I would suggest booking tickets to a play there instead of taking the tour. You will see everything you will on the tour and get to experience what theater was like during Shakespeare's time. I would avoid the penny stinker standing only area for actual seats.

I enjoyed it however I did not enjoy standing for 2 hours

You can feel the Sheakspeare's spirit. Highly recommended to skip comfy habits and watch the performance standing next to the stage.

Amazing building and cultural heritage. Took a tour. The guide was fantastic. Knowledgeable, engaging, friendly, interesting, and funny! Wonderful experience. Can't wait to come see a performance here.

Fantastic theatre, the cheap tickets in the standing section are great value if you have the strength in your legs, the seated sections are wooden benches and so they rent out cushions to theatre goers (a good revenue generator). Much of the theatre is exposed to the elements so if you do go for cheap tickets and expect rain then pack a poncho as they don't allow umbrellas to be put up once you bring them inside. Also, if you are going for the standing tickets arrive half an hour before the performance to queue for the best view.

Performance was amazing, tickets were reasonably priced, and the venue was an atmosphere unlike any other! Be sure to rent a seat cushion!

The love and care taken with the faithful recreation of The Bards work filled me with a warm feeling of gratitud. I'm indebted to the people that made it possible to experience the globe theater both via a tour and a play. I loved every minute of it! I only wish I'd had more time in London to go see more of the shows. One of the absolute highlights of London! Lauren (our newbie your guide) was highly entertaining, knowledge and positively dripping with charm and poise. I'll treasure the memories for years. If you come to see a play, rent a cushion

Amazing theatre - so much fun to visit. Always great shows and a good time.

A beautiful venue and when I visited I saw a truly exceptional performance of A Midsummers nights dream . The venue is easy to find and easily accessible for people with wheelchair or walking aids. I would highly recommend standing if you can. Food and drink can be bought on site too with toilets inside the venue.

This place is absolutely extraordinary. Thinking of it in purely tourist attraction terms I was expecting average performances from actors and the main feature to be the building itself. How wrong I was! The quality of performance was jaw dropping. I will be coming back to see more plays. Highly recommended.

Great visit. Did the tour during the day which was very interesting and informative. Returned later for performance of 'Hamlet. Good atmosphere in the failing light of evening!

We saw the "relaxed" performance of Two Noble Kinsmen, and it was phenomenal! Definitely take advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime (for most of us) opportunity to see a Shakespeare play at the Globe!

Great value and fun! Only a fiver for a standing ticket

What an awesome building! The feeling and layout of the house is something entirely unique. Despite actors competing with overhead planes the open roof was interesting and completely unexpected. With cheap standing admission it's very affordable for strong stamina theater lovers.

What an amazing place to be. Don't forget to stop at the Swon bar nearby and have a Saxon Lager. Breakfast of champions.

Strolling along the Thames, between Blackfriars and Southwark Bridge, near the Tate Modern, you can admire the faithful reconstruction of the Globe Theater; built in 1599, it housed the theater company of Shakespeare, but was destroyed in 1613; in 1997 the third reconstruction of the famous theater, is still very active and you can take guided tours.

Must stop for those who enjoy theater. Enjoy a Shakespearean play on one of London's famous Elizabethan stages.

I saw A Midsummer Night's Dream staged in the replica of Shakespeare's Theater. Very nice

Museum and tour were very informative. They do shows in the summer but we were there in November so there was no chance to see one.

It's beautiful and make sure you purchase a ticket in advance for a play. The walk around this place is also fun with lot of restaurants and art inspired lanes. You can make a day out of this. The gallery in here won't take much time.

Great venue. Great show. Wrap up if it's cold and bring a cushion to sit on.

Interesting different theatrical experience, but the production of As You Like It was horrible.

Classic Shakespeare experience! We managed to get tickets through the returns line on a weekday so it's pretty accessible. Would return!

The experience of sitting within an historically rich theatre is very unique. The actors are able to engage and draw in the audience at every turn. Just remember to hire a cushion...

pity you could not attend a show. Othello was on the bill with Mark Rylance (Oscar winner) but it seems that the Londoners often go to the theater, in fact there was sold out until November. maybe next time

The theater is worth seeing in any case and the tour was very informative and entertaining (with wonderful British humor) Unfortunately, I couldn't attend an evening performance because of the season, but this will definitely be made up for because the ambience of the Globe Theater alone promises a great experience. When you sit on the benches you totally forget modern London :-)

We had a great time at the museum and theater at Shakespeare's Globe Theater. Very educational as well as fun!

Saw Taming of the Shrew and have never seen such a great show. Really am amazing experience to see it under the open sky, standing about 5 feet from the stage. Incredible acting performances.

The position is beside Tate modern along the Thames river which is no more beautiful!The performance is very vivid and interesting.

AMAZING place to see a Shakespeare play. Was one of the highlights of our trip. I recommend getting groundling tickets to at least on play when you are in London.

Waste of time! Got the tickets to visit the theatre but apparently only valid for the exhibition. Will have to wait to see an actual play to see the theatre..so unless you are doing that, avoid the tour!

An interesting place, especially when the guide tells the story. On the downside, not very clear policy of admitting tourists. We waited over 40 minutes for our time to enter with a group larger than the one we were refused to join due to lack of places ..

Amazing performance from actors in such a unique setting!! Attended Othello and there was never a dull moment!

Great show! A Midsummer Nights Dream. Cast was amazing, venue is really cool - it's open at the top so it's a bit chilly at night! Bring a seat cushion as the benches are hard or rent some there (i think) had a great time!

Been here with our school again. It's absolutely a matter of luck whether you get a good guide or not. Some should only work with students whose English is excellent. Pre- intermediate level is obviously not made for everybody.

Incomparable theatre for the Shakespeare experience.

Tour is included in the admission fee. Bring an umbrella when it us raining as the theater is open air.

I haven t gotten to the show yet, alas, but even a tour is definitely worth your time and money. Very charismatic and dedicated guides (ours: his manner of presentation, his love for the theater, which came through from every word, his humor and erudition, I was very enchanted) and a very interesting and atmospheric place that is worth a visit and imbued. Be sure to come back again - already at the performances)

A lovely place! My guide was very witty, he told a lot of interesting facts about Shakespeare and the theater, about the audience that went to the shows 400 years ago etc. Absolutely to visit if you are in London. In addition, the souvenir shop is very nice (the prices are high but the objects are not trivial).
