Alice, our tour guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. When she was asked a question, she always made sure to repeat the question for the whole group to hear before answering, which is very appreciated. Alice was also excellent at speaking loudly enough for everyone to hear, and very patient as the group was very excited to take lots of photos. Visiting the Globe has been a dream of mine since it was built in the late nineties, and having a skilled tour guide added greatly to my experience.

A great place to visit & discover. The #Tour was really really interesting, thanks to our guide Tim. If you like #Shakespeare, this is the place to be. If you don't like him especially, no problem, it's an interesting tour. You won't be disappointed. My word !

The Globe is an interesting experience because of the two theatres based on historical designs. Sometimes this enhances the experience and sometimes you realise why theatre design moved on. For sure you must bring a cushion!

Saw Romeo and Juliet at the Globe. Absolutely lovely as me and my oldest daughter were completely entertained. Seat wise standard and we could see everything. Not for younger children as the plays can go on for hours.

It's worth spending the time to look around the exhibits, touring the museum and doing the guided tour at this great building reconstructed to look like the Globe. It's certainly not the oldest building in London but the location is steeped in historical significance and the guides make the experience very real.

One of the most atmospheric places to see Shakespeare, performed to a very high standard.
If you want a good seat, book well in advance. Otherwise you can queue up on the day and go for one of the standing tickets in the pit. But of course you have to be prepared a) to stand for a long time b) possibly get wet if it rains.
Either way it s well worth the experience!

Open-air theater in the same mold of the arenas in which the author who gives the name to the place used to develop his pieces. Every day plays are staged, many of them based on texts by the poet Shakespeare. The theater is located just after the Millenium Bridge. Even if you do not go to see a piece, it is worth going to check its facade, well contrasting with the modern surroundings.

Amazing! I went on the hottest day of the year and the staff could not have been more helpful. Free water given out, relaxed come and go atmosphere for when you needed a break from the heat. Lovely shop and cafe, friendly staff and an excellent show.

My daughter and myself went to see Hamlet yesterday, brilliant we had a great time apart from when my daughter became unwell and fainted. The staff were great they helped her straight away got her to the first aid room where the first aider helped her. Later when she was feeling better and didn't want to miss the second half so they found us seats out of the sun in a lower area, so helpful. A big thank you from my daughter and myself.

Pretty similar to the imagined experience 400 years ago, except for the large number of tourists, the general absence of bodily odours, the lack of raw sewage in the Thames, and real women portraying women (and sometimes men) on stage. THE place to experience and interact with Shakespeare.

The ambiance it delivers takes you right back to Shakespeare's age. However, it is not a pleasant experience when you want to rest your feet a little and sit down, an employee rushes over there to command you to stand up, which was medically hazardous in my case. It would've been nice if she listened to me trying to tell her.

Yes, has become a trendy place to visit, but the atmosphere is brilliant, the actors first class and it is good to see the plays in the way that they would originally have been performed.

Seating is relatively primitive as you would expect for the 16th century, but you can get cushions and an effective back support if required.

I love this building.

Great place to visit, knowledgeable guide to the tour only one thing marred the enjoyment on the day , that was 2 tour guide groups within earshot of each other (6-7 meters) and it became difficult to hear our tour guides comments............

We have been to the globe to see a room you can have places for only 5 euros in the pit !!! And clearly you would not regret a second certe if you do not have a very good level of English you will not understand everything but once you've done the idea it's good! Not only that the Shakespearian theater is very gestural is mixing theater with music and singing! Being in the pit gives you a unique proximity with the actors. A unique experience out of time! And if you really do not understand anything you can always go to intermission (at that price you can afford it) you could enjoy the actors and the unique sumptuous architecture!

We had a fantastic tour and an amazing guide who told us everything about why Shakespeare wrote his this exact way and not another. We were even lucky enough to watch actors rehearse a Shakespeare play.
