This was by far the most amazing experience I had in London! If you're touring London, this has to be in your list of things to do/experience! Watch a Shakespeare play acted by the best team of English actors; I promise you won't be disappointed!

I LOVED this! We got to sit in the theater and watch rehearsal, but is exactly like watching the real thing. Word to the wise, there are clothing and sword demonstrations. The clothing demonstration was fascinating! I would actually go again. I can't say that about many other building tours!!!

Ended up doing the full guided tour, which I would highly recommend. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and kept the tour very interesting. The tour takes about an hour or so. Our tour was interrupted by the many kids that were visiting that day. I was surprised to find out that today s Globe isn t in the same spot that it was many years ago. If you re going to visit the Globe, it has to be done with a tour guide.

The Globe is an institution in London, one of those places to visit at least once in your life, and if you are passionate about theater and the Bard then you can't not visit the inside of what is a real gem almost situated on the banks of the Thames. The interior is something spectacular, for those like me who are lucky enough to be able to visit it in the very first hours after opening, to be able to enjoy the silence and the few people present is really a kind of magic. You can still breathe the air of the old English theater, that of the golden age, the one that still echoes between the round walls of this theater that still tells the most beautiful story of all.

The seating at The Globe is all benches, some with restrictive view because of where the posts are in the gallery, the height of the ceiling if you're at ground level (means it's difficult to see action on the upper level of the stage) and More

Extremely disappointing! We came for the exhibition and tour since there were no plays in December. The exhibition was only OK and the tour was awful. The tour guide provided almost no information and seemed irritated the entire time. They chaperoned us quickly through the theater and straight into the gift shop, which wasn't even connected to the exhibit so if you wanted to spend more time there you had to go back outside and into another building. I was with two other people and all of us agreed that it felt like a complete rip off.

When in London, seeing a show in the Globe is a must. Also, if you can take the standing and possibility of getting rained on, it's an incredible experience to stand by the stage as you enjoy the show.

Fabulous venue to watch World class acting
The building is very impressive for being as close a representation to the original as the modern regulations and requirements will allow
Getting tickets can be an issue so you either need to plan well ahead or not be disappointed if there are no returns

Booked a midnight show which was hugely entertaining with the audience being allowed to bring in alcohol (their own and from the bar). A great venue and a definite recommendation for a trip to this part of London.

Great atmosphere, watched Hamlet, the production wasn't to my liking (slanted to much to the comic prefer a more tradgic ,dramatic production myself)but very good all the same.Took the tour earlier in the day OK but not that informative if you know your Shakespeare.

Beautiful place where you can attend plays and live music. It has a circular structure with wooden bleachers that mimic the time of Shakespeare. At the same time it has a very well organized shop of rules, books, etc. and with texts from the Shakespearean work. It is worth going if you are in London. Now you can easily cross the Thames through the Millennium Bridge or also through the London Bridge

I loved the infrastructure of the theatre itself and the super friendly staff. I think it is a bit overpriced for what you actually visit. My visit had some unexpected things because we were told that the stage was free to visit in that morning but when we got there, the actors were rehearsing so we sat down and watched the rehearsal for about 20 minutes. After that we went back inside so that the guide could answer some questions and that was the entire visit. The tour should be a bit more detailed and rehearsals better scheduled.

Love this theater and the quality of the plays they present. Would highly recommend a visit but would recommend you spend the extra pounds and get a seat. Standing for that long distracts from fully enjoying the play.

replica of the original theatre. It is modern, clean and has a cafe, gift shop and toilets. Not yet have the chance to watch a show there but really good place to relax in the middle of London

Love the friendly and informal atmosphere here. There's always something to look at from the actors, to the sky, to the audience - visually it is a feast and intellectually, Shakespeare's got some great lines, keep 'em coming...

I went in November 2018 to London and booked a seat for a production of "Macbeth," which was a haunting candle-lit performance (literally) and phenomenally well acted. The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, a theater inside the Globe, is a bi-level structure reconstruction that models the principles and legacy of outdoor open-air theaters. Attracts an older, more seasoned literary, classical, theater-oriented crowd, naturally, dependent on the production.
