Horrible horrible horrible place worst place you could ever come for help. If you have a medical emergency, please avoid coming to this ER. You will wait over 3 hours. I've been here several times and each time I've waited hours and hours while we watch the nurses goof around in the front. - never come here!

My wife very recently was cared for by the Ascension ER staff and the Cardiac Care Unit. The patient care and concern for her was both professional and exceptional.
We strongly and earnestly recommend this facility for anyone requiring immediate medical attention.
We will post another review soon recognizing specific exemplary nursing care givers.
Continue your success, we applaud you.

My mother was in the ICU for 4 weeks after having her heart stop twice. Let me first say thank you to the Dr. who revived my mother twice to allow me and her family to speak with her and for her to recognize and acknowledge everyone. As for the nurses and staff most were caring and attentive to my mom. There are really 2 staff members I had a bad experience with which were the social worker that was suppose to keep us informed about the status my mother was in the day she was brought in. I don't remember her name but in an emergency situation such as what we went through a family wants to know the status of their loved one in as quickly as possible and the social worker was non existant till my dad had to ask status. The other issue was with a nurse by the name of Letty in the ICU unit. She seemed un caring and rude. First when a family is going through a difficult situation such as this you want staff to be aware of the situation the family is going through and be caring or at least act like it. One example I will give is my mother was alert on this particular day that I went to visit her and she spoke a full sentence twice and I saw it , mind you I am the type of person I have to see it to believe it. Well the next week I brought this up with my dad out loud and she was the nurse on duty ya lucky me and she said no I don't believe it she has a tracheotomy she can't speak ok thank you for entering the conversation unwanted but I kindly told her let me rephrase what I said I saw her mouth the sentences. This type of person has no business in a profession where sympathy and caring is in the job description.

3 hours to see a doctor. Charged $2500 for the visit plus $918 to USE their ultrasound machine (technician billed separately). Getting information regarding billing was worse than the illness I was in there for! After 6 calls trying to understand what I was being billed for, I was sent an itemized bill which the billing help desk couldn't even decipher!

The doctor (not part of Seton per se) was very good, as was the ultrasound technician. Their billing was fair and concise.

This Hospital is a wonderful place to go when you are sick. If it wasn't for the knowledgeable Dr's and Nurse's my diagnosis could have turned out to be a whole lot worse. To have a Dr call you in the middle of the night because she couldn't stop thinking about my case and leaving her cell number so I could call her ASAP , come to find out I would need surgery. From ER admissions to pre op to my floor room...I was impressed by all of their professionalism and care. Each person that had an interaction with me was so caring. They listen to my needs and concerns and really made it seem It was all about me and there were no other patients here. I will forever in my heart be grateful for this hospital, the team, the care and their loving hearts!!! Thank Seaton Hays....Than You

The doctor that treated me was great, but the charge nurse was an ass! I have asthma and developed pneumonia. Potentially very dangerous combination of respiratory issues. The charge nurse lectured me about how expensive it is for me to be in the ER with a non-life threatening condition. Really? I was in so much pain I didn't know if it was life threatening or not. I thought that was why they were there.

I came in with food lodged on my throat and Im having trouble breathing. The doctor just came in and told me he doesnt have the proper equipement to find the item, nor will he do anything about it. After being rude and belittling me, he gave me alka seltzer and said its not inportant. (Never looked at the xray)

Avoid this place like the plague. Terrible care network.

Service was ok. Charges not so much. I was charged over $3,000 for a 5 minute visit to the emergency room. Apparently if you think you are having a stroke it is tag differently and it cost more for them to enter info in the computer and put a hospital bracelet on you. The doctor that check me out charge me separately. The MRI I had the next day was cheaper then the 5 minute ER visit.

I went in another time, long story short I had my son there and I went to leave to pick up my daughter from school and they wouldn't let me leave. Ridiculous place will not will coming back anytime soon

They literally did nothing! I'm writing this review while standing in front of the ER enterence in pain waiting to be picked up to go to another hospital for treatment. They did tests came to nothing conclusive and are sending me home with not having been able to eat or drink anything since 2am and in a great deal of pain! Not even given IV fluids! Some Tylenol and something for nausia but sending me with a level 8 pain and not being able to eat or drink. What a waste of my time and money. Going to go to another ER and pray they have the decency to take care of me. Zero stars

Arrived at 07:30 per instructions with my relative for a PET appointment scheduled 08:30 am.... after waiting just shy of 2 hours. I asked the reception what the delay was about... I received a lie about the appointment being at 09:30 " I assumed you woukd know what time your appointment was for" replied the pencil pusher... We showed her our confirmation mailed by their "central scheduling". ... The douche technician then came out into the libby with a concocted line of bull about his schedule showing 09:30... waiting for a medical procedure is normal... but lying sgows tgis is a s***show. Go somewhere else if you can.

Don't really understand the poor ratings here. Very nice new feeling facility. Maybe going through some growing pains earlier is my guess. Anyways, my mother was admitted for a blood infection and received first class treatment. Food good, room good, doctors and nurses were great.

I went in there for getting hit by a car and they didn't check all of me to make sure I was okay. So then I went somewhere else and they said I had a back fracture, which this place completely missed. Although most of the staff there were nice, it's not a great place to go if you're going to a hospital for something serious.

Good luck trying to get a hold of the office people. Any time I would call morning noon or evening id get a machine. I had one question for the environmental health department. I physically went to the offices on 3 seprate trips spoke to 3 different people. each of them promised to call me back after 2 weeks no one has called. Pretty cruddy.

On a billing mishap from my last stay, they billed me at the incorrect address and instead of calling me to pay the $ 53.89 they just sent the account to collections and dinged my credit score. Will not come here again. Even the collection agency said they had no records of them trying to call me before they sent my account over.

I am a gulf war veteran. I used my benefits to become an RN. I have worked medical jobs all over west Texas from frontier EMS to where I am now at Seton Hayes. I can say with all honesty that I am proud of the nurses I work with. We take every evaluation to heart. Our priority will always be the family member being evaluated for care and level of care. Our priority is your loved one, but also you. Just give us a breathe and a moment to communicate appropriately with our team. You ARE important.

Only giving a second star because the nurses are stellar! Cheif complaint: ER doc Brennan Beatty. Wouldn't let me finish my explanation/knowledge of my injury, ordered scans but then admitted he didn't look at them before deciding that I was fine to sit down with no problems (I'm experiencing severe back pain and spasms, can barely walk or be upright at all)... three hours later I'm in excruciating pain, even with semi-strong pain meds that they gave me there. Claimed he doesn't even know what a chiropractor does (!?), then prescribes a pain medication half as effective as the ones they gave me (still in pain). Dismissed my questions about an MRI, because "we already know it's a soft-tissue injury, so we don't even need it" says the guy who didn't look at the Xray and doesn't know for sure. I guess getting to the truth is not a concern for him, nor actually treating the patient. Thanks a lot. This is why people avoid hospitals and hate doctors. Also, maybe Google "chiropractor".
Side note: nurses were great, were polite, and actually believed me!

This place is awful. My daughter never got seen. Got checked in by name. No vitals were never taken. Nurses just standing around by the desk. All girl can tell me that the worse case goes first heart and lungFacebook issue. And what about a broken or fractured foot or ankle on a kid. I can not rate this place no stars. Thats the sad thing about this. So dont go to this place waste of time. Go some where else that has professional people working.

I have nothing but great things to say about every member of staff we encountered the day of my daughter's surgery. Everyone was so helpful and kind, which made the entire process so much less nerve wracking. I genuinely appreciate y'all's compassion that day!

Community of Kyle, this is a MUST read. Do not pass it up.
We will not be back! I will choose another hospital for my loved ones care. We should have learned this previous visit 3 months ago! It was a horrible experience then also. We unfortunately tried them again.
Mr. Mook,
You can find patient name and chart with this info:
Room 426
Date of stay 03/30/17 - still here on 04/08/17

There is a huge "disconnect" between support services and the nursing staff. Support should respond asap to nurse requests. The nurses did a good job here. They requested time and time again for my wife to get the nutrition she needed. Out of 3 needed supplental Ensure drinks per day, 2 days none were d liveried and for 3 days they only delivered 1. Worst of all, the nurses were calling them repeatedly and asking for these. Housekeeping emptied the overflowing trash 3 days after overflowing. The floor was often dirty. Her scheduled breathing treatments were late many times. She was having difficulty breathing before they arrived. AND AGAIN THE NURSES CALLED MANY TIMES TO REQUEST THIS SCHEDULED TREATMENT. I think understaffing is the problem. Mr. Mook, there is more but I don't feel like continuing. Seton has a serious problem here. There is lots of work needing to be done. We had 2 visitors that told us they have had problems here also and that they will not return. We will not either. This is a must read for those considering visiting here. I will share this with the community.

Care was good ,I had the best nurse in the world , she made my stay bearable . New menu and the food SUCKS , not fit for human consumption . My last meal was so bad and smelled like vomit and looked the part also . If you have a stay for two days or more plan on weight loss .

I delivered my first baby here on 12-10-19. The nurses, Dr. Bosco, and the entire staff gave us the BEST experience you could ever ask for. I never had to ask for anything and if I did, they brought it within ten minutes. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They explained the process and what to expect. A nurse named Christy who helped deliver our baby took time out of her busy day to come check on us the next day even though we weren t her patients anymore. I would recommend this hospital to everyone! They were so wonderful

Worst experience ever! Has a complete side for pediatrics and no one is ever there. It never has staff. Wait for over a hr in waiting room then longer in the room. I had to go to the other side to get someone to see my child. Yet there are 3 nurses at the desk chit chatting. Not 1 Dr in sight

My mother usually frequents this hospital, she was seeming off today so I urged her to go in. She came back obviously very upset, she described the staff as rude from the start and could hear the nurses screaming at other patients. They acted very improperly towards her just because she had been there the previous night for issues they STILL didn't treat her for after putting her in the wrong wing of the hospital! She was so upset she refused to even be properly seen and left before they even could understand what was going on with her. Definitely never coming here again.

Having been there 4 times since 2016, I'd have to say it is either excellent service, or horrible. I would have to say, from the extremes I have experienced in care, you just have to be lucky when you get there. My last visit makes me fearful of returning for help. But I have received excellent care twice.

There are more efficient options in this area. I had a back injury that required an ambulance one night a few months ago. Ended up just being a pulled muscle that wouldn't relax. I walked out of the ER a couple hours later.
My complaints: Only one person in the ER greeted us with their name. I was charged over $6000 for basically an ambulance ride and some pain meds. (Just the ER room was $3000) Current insurance is a waste so all of this was out of pocket.
Praises: The ambulance crew were very courteous.

My wife is here right now pretty much on her deathbed he has one of the best doctors in the world to take care of her but the nurses has been horrible one out of four has actually been good the one was with spectacular but the other three that you asked him a question they just walk off ignore you do nothing to help other than that beautiful and immaculate

I visited Seton's ER in June, recieved wonderful care from their staff and was treated promptly. However, I was not notified that Seton is partnered with US Acute Care. With this partnership, I recieved two astronomical medical bills - one for Seton, one for USAC. Both charged for lab tests. Both charged for IVs. Both charged for staff fees. I am being charged nearly 6x more here for the same treatment that I had to pay for elsewhere.
Overall - great staff, fantastic care, but as I was not notified of this partnership and therefore additional billing, I am beyond disappointed and will not be returning for future care.

Seton hospital in Kyle is a horrible hospital to go to. They misdiagnosed me twice in 2 years. The doctors do not give you a chance to talk and explain what s wrong. I will not be going ever again.

The staff here are for real about there job.

The staff here are for real about there job.
They are in it not for a paycheck, but because something in there lives happend to make them want 2 serve others. My experience here truly humbled me and help me realize care for others is more important than care for your self. keep up the Godly works thanks for everything everyone does here. sincerely trama patient Aerick Tyrone Shelby. One can't rate the great patient service here. Its totally above par. Truly God's work is happening here everyday it's great to know there are still good people in the world

Honestly, the worst and least helpful ER experience I have ever had. I was in a severe accident in which numerous things could have been wrong with me (nothing serious, thankfully), but since I had nothing visibly wrong with me they told me I had a concussion and sent me on my way.

It wasnt busy there at all and there was no reason not to at least run a test or two to make sure I wasn't gonna die after I left. I even inquired twice about if I needed anything additional. They said no and discharged me. Bill comes in for no more than a 30 minute visit... $2667.50 for absolutely nothing.

They are also poorly trained to handle infants... But that's another story altogether. Avoid this ER if you can.

This hospital need to be closed or change administration. How's possible that the emergency room have only one person. I went over there with a 3 months old baby. The one person in the desk told me, that I have to wait at least 4 to 5 hour because they dont have enough personal. Bad hospital bad place. Xenophobia is there mean subject.

The place is a joke. Every time we have been to this office there is either nobody working at the front registration desk or our visit has been filled with disrespect. The managers need to due something about the front desk staffs. Healthcare workers are fine and nice if you can ever get where you need to be. Screw this place. It's like a hospital run by Satan himself.

As an employee I was discriminated against. Management did not care or reach out to me after hospitalization, and upon return to work I was discriminated against and alienated from the rest of the staff. But this is their policy

I ve never in my life have experience such terrible patient service. My family got in a car accident last night we went to the ER and my family was treated horrible I couldn t believe the way my family was being treated. I asked for an update on my little sister and the nurse rudely answered what do you want to know I asked how s her blood pressure she answered its ok it s not urgent . No empathy what so ever she walked away saying I have to go there s people that are actually not breathing . I couldn t believe what was going on after being in a car accident the last thing you want to do is be treated that way. Second of all another nurse was like why dint you all take an ambulance from the get go everyone was being rude. I can t believe they get away with such behavior not only that but our family was in the waiting room obviously waiting since we are worried for are family members and we saw the car accident the nurse comes to the waiting room and asked Is there anyone else that needs to be seen we say no and her response was you guys are here taking up space . There was a lot of sarcasm no empathy rudeness it s upsetting that nurses treat people such way and they get away with this.

Was brought in by EMS for possible stroke. ER doctor never ran any test and treated me horrible. She asked if I had a therapist. The nurse I had was rude and neither had any compassion. Went to my doctor the next day to find out I have spinal colum swelling causing my horrible symptoms. This was an extremely scary experience and the staff at Seton made me feel worse. They treated it as I had a muscle issues and never considered the swelling even though I had just had a CT with contrast in my spine. Once again, Seton exceeds as horrible human care. I will never go to this ER again. Maybe instead of playing god you should really think about the patient.

Friendly nurses. Significant other was here for an urgent operation, deemed urgent by the PCP. Urgent enough to suggest we go to the Seton ER Stat based on bloodwork results. We have now been here for 26 hours and have only had her blood drawn. Waited 6 hours to be transferred from ER to main facility. Have been waiting for a MRI also for 6 hours. 6 hours seems to be the magic number.

Disconcerning comments from doctors and on staff nurses such as "oh sorry I mix up patients charts always let me double check" and "hepatitis right?" As she pops in the door. (No hepatitis involved here folks)

If you need an urgent operation I'd get a flight to a hospital in Boston where doctors check charts correctly and you dont wait 30 and counting hours for basic procedures.

The nursing staff is friendly. Cant compliment them enough.

Zero.

I had a separate experience with Dr Luh on the office side of the hospital and it was wonderful. Did great surgery to restore a part of my body. He was great and that was 5 stars. Almost had a private clinic feel, really was personal.

Was admitted from the emergency room and was in my room in record time. I cannot say enough great things about the care I received in both the ER and on the 5th floor. The nurses and Drs on my care team really fought for me and truly cared how I was progressing. If it wasn't for such awesome ladies, I don't think I would have been ready to leave when I did. This is now my hospital of choice! The picture is from my last morning there. Beautiful sunrise!

Very satisfied with ER and staff. The nurses and doctors were absolutely the most friendliest hospital staff I've encountered. No wait time, and in and out very quickly, even with tests and labs. Will definitely be back again if necessary. The best hospital in Hays county and south of Austin, hands down. I never post reviews, but clearly they do not have the ratings they deserve, which is 5 stars. If you TRULY have a medical emergency, definitely go here for the best care around!

12/28/2017 ER visit. I will never go back here. If I could give a zero star rating, I would.
I was sent from a walk-in clinic for possible pneumonia. Triage was the only thing that happened quickly. It was 1 1/2 hours waiting for the chest xray. Meanwhile, I had to listen to someone throwing up in the waiting room and I watched people who came in after I did be taken in before me. Unless someone was dying, having a heart attack or stroke, it should be first come, first served. The straw that broke the camel's back was the elderly woman who was brought out on a gurney who was being transferred to a wheelchair. She was crying out "stop, you're hurting me" .
That should have never happened in view of others who were sick. It was sad, and I felt bad for her. I went up to the waiting room desk and told them I was through waiting. I was told they had a room for me and my xray report, but the doctor would have to give me results. I asked how long that would be, and was told they didn't know. Hurry up and wait.
I told them that emergency room was an oxymoron.
It's sad to see Seton has devolved from what was once the preeminent hospital in Austin to just another corporate entity. FIRST, DO NO HARM.
Follow up to post: I better not get a bill for their lack of service, because they won't be paid. No service, no money.

My experience the two times I have been seen in this ER are less than one star. (A star has to be selected in order to leave a review) Yesterday's visit should be an EMBARRASSMENT to this establishment! Went in for vertigo and new symptom of a numb tongue and face during light headedness. I saw the doctor ONCE and for less than 2 minutes because SHE (her name is storkin or storken or storki...should be stillskin bc she had no bed side manner) TOOK A CALL ON HER CELLPHONE AND STILL HAD ME GIVING HER AN ANSWER TO HER QUESTION, she didnt listen and left! Never saw her again until 2+ hours later when I said I was leaving and the nurse sent her right away. (Obviously wasnt busy if she could do that) gave me a HORRIBLE diagnosis of perastasis or something which is pain and needle sensations in hands arms feet or legs...which had been left in my room by the nurse. NOTHING OF WHICH I DESCRIBED. She never came in to gather more info after her call or ask about my medications or ANYTHING. as I was walking out she said "the purpose of an ER" I said in response "is nothing" because she didnt do anything! The CT scan tech And that machine "did something" and the doctor didnt. She was incredibly rude as well. I also told them I wasnt paying and especially wont pay her doctors fees. These symtpoms could be indication of heart or lung issue I read (last night) and/or medication. On the form they tried to give me, but I left, said what she was diagnosing me with could be an after effect of a heart attack or stroke....she wasnt thorough and didnt ask or even put a scope to my chest. She did nothing. The male nurse I had was very nice and the CT tech was very friendly and kind. This doctor should NOT be in practice. Oh yea, the toilet in my room had #2 stains on 3-5 large spots on the seat. My belief especially now after this visit is doctors should not be paid unless they perform a service and give you an answer. My last visit same issue dr de los santos came in only twice for about 2-3 mins each no answers sketchy diagnosis to get me out of the door (travelers diarrhea bc i vacationed in mexico 2-3 weeks prior so they assumed stomach bug although my symptoms were severe right side pain & nooo diarrhea) but sure did get the large ER bill plus another from ARA who reads their scans then DOCs FEES!!!! No answers in return for me, the patient! THIS REVIEW IS ADVOCATING FOR OTHERS SO THEY DONT RECEIVE THIS TYPE OF FAUX-CARE. Yesterday no one even asked about chest pain and I had some the day prior. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE if you care about them AT ALL. Also, the "NO WAIT TIME" is a LIE! They pull u back fast only to wait in a room in my case an hr before someone even spoke to me so that doesnt count as no wait does it?

My Dad was a transfer from a smaller hospital because his ekg was abnormal. Made it to the hospital about 9 pm. They hooked him up to a heart monitor. Long story short reason he was transferred was never treated went to his PCP they diagnosed him with things that should have been looked at at the hospital. Steve the CA was wonderful

I had a stroke a week ago and called 911, the ambulance came and took me to Seton Kyle. What a waste of time the doctors were unable to do anything for me and had to transfer me to Dell Seton in Austin. You would think that the ambulance and hospital would be on the same page as to if they could treat me. Not going here again if I can help it

My mother went in this place on Thanksgiving day from a heart attack. She got worse and worse by the day.. She ended up dying January 3rd from fluid that they didn't care to take care of... I hate this hospital and all the staff are so inconsiderate to the needs of the patients.. I wished we could of had her transferred to a better place of knowledge instead we have to bury her. Beware and never have your loved ones go there!!!!!

I walked into the ER on a Saturday afternoon. There was only one other person in the waiting room. I was wheeled back after the very brief check-in. It was so fast, I didn t have time to sit down. A nice ER nurse appeared immediately in my room/cubby. She took my history and then the doctor came in within minutes. I had a few test done quickly by really pleasant staff members. I had about an hour wait to get the test results back but that was really the only wait I had. Everything thankfully was normal. I didn t have a blood clot in my leg. I was released and and all the paperwork completed before I left the ER. It was amazing. Everyone there seemed happy and appeared to enjoy their work. I am from NC and I have been to emergency rooms before but I have never been in and out so quickly or had anywhere near the experience I had in Kyle. Hats off to Seton for doing it right. Wish more hospitals would follow their lead.

Racist nurse

Racist nurse
My uncle was there in icu. There was a curtain between us and the white nurse that was telling at hurt coworker (infront of an old lady) saying, you indian rat, you just come over here to get pregnant, don't you, don't you! I know how you all are. I regret not pulling the sheet back, and setting her straight. Ty seton, I will never be able to forget this.

Went into the ER for an injured foot. I was hesitant not having insurance, but I went due to the severe pain I was in. The whole experience was horrible! Never saw a nurse after being admitted into a room. Later a gentleman walks in telling me to take my pants off for a procedure. Yeah talk about whoa! He stated, Didn t the nurse tell you about the prosedure? I said nope haven t seen anyone for a half hour. Later a doctor came in for about two minutes or less asking me about my PT and what was going on. He then realized the PT meant patient not physical therapy, and said he would wait for test results then walked out. Financial then came in and nearly all my info that was taken previously had wrong when I registered for the visit. Waited about four hours only to find out I don t have blood clots and to elevate my leg and take Motrin. A visit costing me an arm and a leg just to be told to take Motrin and see my doctor. I was infuriated! Nonetheless, it s been two days now and I am still in severe pain, and still dealing with my foot injury. The hospital should do a better job taking care of their patients and ensure they are taken care of properly. Not send them off still in pain with nothing really done to solve the issue. What was the point of me visiting to have nothing done for my injury. I would never want to be admitted to this hospital EVER again. Seek somewhere better and who cares about their patients. I hope this helps others realize this may not be the best place to visit.

Is there a option to not choose a star, because I would like to choose not a single star. What ever happend to good patient services its diffently not here. I have never in my life felt so uncomfortable at a hospital due to the lack of communication, being in pain which was at a 10 which I stated to the triage nurse and the nurse who took care of me, saw me twice did a horrible job at assessing me, I felt so uncomfortable that I called my wife to come back to the room with me. So my wife did with my 3 kids mind you it's 12:30am. I came in for stomach pain chest pain vomitting after a 4 hour wait in pain ,pressing the call button more then 5 times, saw the doc once real quick for 2 mins in beginning of visit, two tubes of blood they said I was fine gave me a dissolve zofran tab ....... all because they where busy is what my nurse said several times they wanted to get rid of me hmmmm.....i find it funny that as soon as my wife came in and they noticed we where GAY is that what society calls us everything changed up. Not only am I disappointed but very hurt about the whole ordeal. This is the second time this has happened to us same er, the first time was about my kids. I'm done with the whole seton system and I will be taking it to the courts after I talk to the higher ups.

had Gall Bladder surgery in April. The Doctors, Nurses and medical staff were truly outstanding. The business end is so substandard that it actually effects your recovery and health. With 3 weeks notice Seton did not have enough time to check with my insurance and demanded I pay $2925 on the day of surgery when I checked in, before I could receive medical care. My insurance co pay was actually $1113.53. Since then I have made 9 phone calls and spoken to 2 supervisors in the billing department trying to get a refund. BTW the local number you dial is actually in MI. I have been told anything and everything in order to mollify me and get me off the phone. In the mean time I have outstanding bills with my Seton doctor and other service providers who email, text, and call trying to get their payment and I am currently in collections on 2 account. All that would be more than covered by the refund being held hostage by Seton. I am left to conclude that this run around is not isolated but actual policy in order to hold on to my money as long as possible and drive my health to the point of requiring additional medical care that they can charge for in an effort to eat up the pending refund with additional billing.

Ended up in the ER with my 5 yr old after she busted her chin open at swim practice yesterday evening and I just have to say our experience was fantastic! My daughter was absolutely terrified of getting stitches but everyone who cared for her really took the time to make her feel comfortable and safe. I was SO impressed!! She didn't even have to take the extra meds to calm her nerves. The ER physician assistant Jennifer made her feel at ease the entire time. A huge shout out to PA Jennifer, Triage RN Ashley, RN Peggy and CA Pablo! Thank you thank you for taking great care of my girl and for also keeping me in one piece! :)

As an insurance payer, I expect to receive a certain level of service in accordance with what I'm paying which is a lot, but this is not the case with this hospital.

Worst ER in Central Texas or maybe the whole state. --Minimum waiting time is two hours.
-Horrible patients service by everyone, but specially nurses and technicians. No empathy towards patients whatsoever.
-Hygiene? Forget it. The waiting lobby is cleaner than the patients room. Bloody floor and walls, dirty beds, and trash every where.
If you live in kyle and need medical attention I recommend you to look for a different alternative if you can.
I honestly think that The Department of Public Health should take a closer look at this hospital..

NOTE: The doctor on duty was AMAZING, really helpful and informative. Is a shame that he has to work in this environment.

Respectfully

I go there twice a week for pulmonary rehab and have had a wonderful experience with every staff member that I've encountered including emergency room staff and scheduling of an echo. Everybody at this place really seems to care about your well-being even if they come off as a little intense. I go pretty far out of my way to go to this place as it is an hour drive each way but I think it's worth it!

I had my son here back in 2012 and the experience was wonderful! I was the only woman that had a baby that weekend and the nurses spoiled us! I would give 5 stars based on that experience HOWEVER I've had to visit the ER on a few separate occasions where the treatment was the complete opposite.

If you weren't pleased with your visit at Seton Hays, please tell me where you've had the perfect ER visit. I brought my family member in after we left another hospital. The ER physician working that night took the time to review a lengthy past medical history and answered many of our questions. Nurse was quick to get us triaged and seen by an doctor. Our check in time may have been pretty quick because we did the online registration. I recommend this hospital for their excellent patient care!

Although it's not the hospitals fault, so tired of having insurance, being the first in emergency room, and being told you are behind 20 plus people that walked in and said they have "shortness of breath", only to go back to their seats laughing, eating, and playing on their cell phones while my wife sits there in pain. They dont have to worry about paying a deductable, and are only here to get basic medical care. We have to do something about people abusing the system.

Dr. Luh and his staff here were wonderful. They were very professional, caring, and helpful. Explained my surgery completely and very supportive in the follow up visits. I highly recommend them and the facility at Kyle

Worst place EVER! Took my husband in on a Sunday with terrible pain, the front office did not change his DOB even though I told them twice. We were there literally over 5 hours and were told go see your pcp. After my husband rang the button the nurse came in to ask how he could help, and after my husband asked for pain relief, he laughed and said he had just arrived.. what kind of answer is that? The nurse did not glove up to draw my husbands blood. The front office had starbucks drinks, and 3/4 back office were eating in their stations... OSHA violations!!! The nurse pushed up the syringe with fluid up to the wall.., my husband was not offered socks, nor a blanket until asked for. It is such a shame that people who should make you feel better, actually make you feel guilty to even be there. Next time, I will commute to Seton on 38th and a half, where there has always been great staff on site.

Smh this hospital is an embarrassment! If I could give 0 stars I would!!! On 12/19/17 I left the ER with no answers, no tests were done, and i was given 3 completely different diagnosis- first one was an eye orbital infection, then the doctor went to get my discharge paperwork and looked at my chart and found that I had a facial surgery in the past, so then I was told that I had a fracture in my face , but my discharge paperwork said I had a black eye. So I am going to have to pay thousands and still have no idea what is ACTUALLY wrong with me. Also the doctor laughed at me, which was humiliating and made me feel like I was unworthy of even being there. The nurse who gave me my discharge paperwork was very rude and had an attitude because I asked her a question. They were ignoring the patient that was having breathing troubles in the room next to mine. This is the second bad experience that I've had here...out of the 2 experiences that I've had here. Don't waste your 4 hours and sit in pain, and don't leave with questions by avoiding this place and either going to urgent care or by going to CTMC in San marcos where I've always had better and faster treatment! I knew better than to go there. And in response to another review I saw on here. I was and am not being whiney. I am very respectful and calm natured.

Staff took care of issues just fine for the medical emergency. They made a bad situation more tolerable and had great skills in working on a bad situation The billing and insurance confusion made it irritating after the fact.

Dr Harding seems Like a nice doctor and his bedside manner is ok but I came in with 3 thoracic spine compression's and he xrayed me even though I told him I had a CT done a few weeks ago that showed that and after the xray and ignoring the CT from a couple weeks ago he says I have tweaked one of my vertebrae when actually my ARA paper work says that I have 3 spinal compression fractures from my t7 to t9. Then proceeds to give me a motrin like that is going to help when I told him I am already taking that plus Aleve and Tylenol and to no relief. So that was a wasted trip and money to an ER.

I had a fantastic experience with the Labor and Delivery staff. They were attentive and caring. I had a really hard time with getting my son to breast feed, the lactation consultants and nurses were always quick to assist. and reassure me when I was getting frustrated. They answered every question I had and made sure I was well take care of. I really could not have asked for a better experience for me and my little one.

I waited for 3 hours when I finally decided to leave they wanted me to sign some papers were I had spoken to an ER doctor which had not been true, all I they did were vitals, then the documents that they wanted me to sign werent even mine they belonged to another person that was waiting in the waiting Room as well

My husband was admitted for suicidal thoughts. They were speedy about it and kept someone with him the whole time. Both of those were the only things they did right. He was there for 13 hours while they figured out what to do with him. Then when asked if he would need his medical card and ID at the place they were sending him, they said no. That the other place needed that info to get him a bed so they would have already sent his info in. Wrong, they did not send any insurance info. So the place had to call to get the info. But of course they cant even get that right! Who ever handles insurance info is by far incompetent. I had to take pictures and email them to the facility he is at. Which also means if they got the info so horribly wrong, we will need to go in and fix it or they will surly be sending us a ridiculous bill for the very little care he got. If you have a choice, go somewhere else!!

Horrible experience. Didn't even receive treatment or saw a doctor. They did charge me a lot just walking in and seeing a nurse that took my vitals, did not care to diagnose my problem and I eventually went to another ER the SAME day, where they ran tests and found out what was wrong. Do not go here if you are seeking medical treatment.

Make sure you contact your insurance before you get anything done here. The hospital will make you sign something saying you understand your copay and how much it is but that s not where the buck stops. I received a $3,000 bill from services 9 MONTHS AGO. I understand our healthcare system is one of the worst but this is absurd. When you ask for an itemized bill they send you some cut and paste thing they do in excel that has zero explanation of anything. Then if you don t pay anything within a couple months they send your bill to a third party collector so you have to jump through hoops just to figure out what happened and get connected to the right person. Avoid this hospital and make sure you know what your coverage is based on what they are charging.

UPDATE: I spoke to someone after I received a reply to this review and still nothing. They sent me the same bs excel cut and paste that gives me zero details on why I owe THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS for services I received A YEAR AGO. Worst hospital I've ever encountered.

Was actually kicked out by Cuello the wanna be cop! My friend was in hospital and I was waiting in family room to bring him home. Was told twice I had to leave family room because I dozed off! Crazy!

Went in to get checked on everything was fine until I saw mr. Moreland a doctor there at the ER. On our first consultation I informed him that my issues have caused me to become massively dehydrated to a point my kidneys were in pain and requested an IV. Well that was answered with a lot of extremely rude belittling and other remarks so offensive I had to walk out of the emergency room and drive to a totally different hospital. A professional medical setting should never include any of the above. It was incredibly unprofessional and no one should have to deal with that

Website could be better with instructions and directions for new outpateints. Entrance and checkin could be better. They were not checking patients very often while waiting for procedure. Mostly concerned and friendly staff.

Don't use this hospital. I thought by some chance they would care and listen to the patient. But no! Came in with a problem and left with something extra. Nurses didnt listen when I said my arm was in pain. Due to my IV line. They didn't care!! All I can say is shame on you. The pain I'm having is my feelings. No you can not feel the pain I have!!!! I ended up getting released from there. And now I have a arm that is in pain, red, swollen and hot to touch. Thanks a lot Seton for a awful ending.

I don't know how my siblings and I would have gotten through our time of need, watching over my mom if it weren't for the nurses on the 2nd floor. They are all angels, thank you to them and this hospital.
