I've lived Rivermont Apartments over a year and I love it! The management is super helpful and receptive. All my neighbors are friendly and our neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet! I am completely satisfied with my living arrangements. They are also super pet friendly and know my dog by name. It's a wonderful place to be!

I live at Northbrook Apartments, its the worse experience I have ever had.
The manager there is clueless and has no idea what she is doing. She is very rude and unprofessional. I cant wait until my lease is up so I can move.

The staff are Wonderful, but environment (outside is pretty aweful... very little grass..just mostly big weeds and no bushes or flowers!) Then people don't pick up their pets poop!!...I can't reommend it to my friends! They are appalled by Bent Tree's appearance!!

I live in woodland Manor, the maintenance requests goes unnoticed. You can tell since it's a primarily"black" complex they don't care. My fridge light went out in January....I purchased a new one and that didn't resolve the issue. I notified them in January, It's March and nothing. I reported my neighbors several times who fight, blast music and make noise morning noon and night, NOTHING has happened. The bug problem is RIDICULOUS! Pest control was out in November....it's March. When I lived in Aspen Village Pest control came out each month. Woodland Manor is last on Sealys care list and it shows. I wouldn't recommend this company. Can't wait for my lease to be over. Please don't comment and say call the office, I have several times. Renell at the on-site office does not do her job nor the folks at the main office.
I'm writing this at 7am on a Sunday and my neighbors are blasting music and arguing smh

I called for emergency maintenance at 1:30 pm for my apartment at High Country ,because the stationary piece of glass in my balcony door is fallin out because the spacer that holds it in is dry rotted and and has fallen apart. I now have a 6'x3' sheet of glass just waiting to fall. I called back at 430 as I hadn't heard anything about maintenance coming out. I was then told there is a strict list of what "Emergency" means, I would assume a very large, heavy sheet of glass falling out of its framing that I'm completely sure could cause serious injury or death and I would really like to avoid such. Its Saturday! Am I now expected to wait until monday to have this actual dangerous situation resolved or worse it falls out on one of my children. Is it a real Emergency then?!?!? I need this fixed.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I ve lived at a Sealy realty property since late July 2016 and ever since then, I have had numerous issues. Wasps, fleas, mice. For the wasps, my management at my complex got maintenance to knock down the nests. They left the nests in front of my unit. For fleas, I had an issue for TWO MONTHS. My apartment management told me I would have to pay out of my own pocket to handle the flea issue because they were not covered in the lease. After paying out of pocket to handle the situation, I left for weeks for Christmas break. My roommate was here on and off while I was away and when we arrived together within the first week of January, we discovered mice in our kitchen. We contacted our management multiple times and they brushed it off as if it was no big deal. MICE. Creatures that carry diseases. They sent out a service they have a contract with and they gave me box sticky traps that did absolutely nothing. I went and bought my own traps and caught NINETEEN mice in my house. Come to find out, there was an infestation two units down that no one was informed of. Sealy will not let me break the lease. They are letting my transfer to a different community but will not pay for moving services nor my bills to get transferred. There are now dead mice living in the walls and attics of my row of townhomes. I advise anyone to stay clear or Forest Trail, specifically building 5 because there and probably dozens of dead mice in the walls and attics that are not going to be able to be removed unless they tear the place down.

I am impressed with the staff & my new apartment living! I've had No real issues! I've had maintenance come to help with small things when I first moved in & they were very helpful & quick! The ladies in the office are always nice & comforting! It's my first apartment so I had lots of questions! I've met a few neighbors & I feel safe. Overall I am so glad my friends referred me to Northbrook so I definitely recommend it too! 5 Stars!

I live in High Country Apartments..I called today about my AC. I specifically asked to be called, because I wasn't about to stay in a hot apartment..I come home and there's a note in my door to call back..I did..The operator said they came out..Ok that's fine but I asked to be called..She raised her voice and I raised mine and some..She also tells me I need to take the private
block off my phone!!...No!!. They don't have a company phone?!. Whomever that person is, she's not professional at all nor courteous...More training is needed for that person. I'm sort of shocked that Sealey would have a person like that answering their after hour calls..

About 7pm the maintenance guy came and fixed the problem with my AC. He explained what was wrong and was very nice and polite. That's the type of Customer Service I'm use to getting from Sealy..That operator..Pitful.

Northbrook is a wonderful community. Dog friendly, beautiful, with (mostly) great neighbors. We renewed our lease to stay for a second year. I much prefer living in Northport to tuscaloosa.

I have worked for Sealy since October 2009 and can honestly say this is one of, if not the best, companies I have worked for. The company treats their employees with respect and fairness, while ensuring a positive work place. I actually enjoy coming to work every day and being able to interact with the co-workers that I have as well as members of management.

Went without a working refrigerator for the first three weeks I lived at one of their properties in Mobile, Al. Then, they charged me $155 to change the locks after I moved, even though I gave them all the keys upon my departure. Most of the damage done to my apartment was from the upstairs apartment flooding, but I got stuck with the bill. Never rent from them if you can help it.

Sealy management are fill with prejudice and bias ppl. They are ridiculous. They will make it easily for others but not for minorities. I was told that i could not pay with a check while living at that run down apartments woodlawn manor. The landlord did nothing about the fights, the parking, the next door neighbor and her company around my door, and the loud music. Sealy dont care its the money , the rent but they will not do their part. I had to stay with my mother cause she was too afraid to stay alone she had to leave out of her lease. We will contact a lawyer. The main office is all white and 1 mexican, 1 blk unless she is landlord in a black community . They are stupid. We will never rent from them again period. I hope ppl sue them.

I live in a complex that is kld and run down. I live in a building that has drunks and dope dealers in the other 3 units. I live in fear. All but 2 of the tenants are section 8. I have nothing against section 8 but my neighbors throw dirty diapers in the back yard. Some are too lazy to bring their trash to the cart and just throw it off the balcony. I HAVE COMPLAINED BUT FOR THE GOOD IT DOES I MAY AS WELL NOT HAVE.
I have requested to be relocated to a different apartment in a diifferent area of this complex. I know threre are better buildings right here. I am 60 yrs old and unable to move from place to place. They tell me I will have to pay more security deposits which doesn't seem fair. I have been a loyal and considerate tenant for 5+ years. It seems they would like to keep those of us who pay consistently and take care or THEIR properties as though it was our own. I just dont understand why they don't want to keep the GOOD tenants happy! Makes no sense.
When I moved in I duely noted all the problems. I very afraid they will try ti //

TERRIBLE customer service. Called on a weekend because my air went out. It was 78 outside, but told me that would not consider it an emergency unless it was 80 outside. They talked to me on the phone as if I was stupid because I stated the degrees inside my apartment was 80, told me there was so no way since it wasn t that hot side... yet it was 78 outside. I pay ENTIRELY WAY TOO MUCH MONEY for an old, not updated apt and I expect the service I pay for!
Absolutely will not be rewnewing lease here or with the company in general after mine is up!!

Sealy Management are decent folks and renting from them has been mostly good. However, if you call Sealy expect to be required to leave a message. I guarantee the person you need to speak with will not bother to answer the phone and expects you to be available for a call back. Sealy desperately needs to address this issue!

Sealy Management has been a pleasure to work with. They go above and beyond to make sure their customers have the best available solutions to meet their needs. Sealy is still the great company they were when my family first moved to Tuscaloosa twenty-three years ago and we lived in a Sealy property.

My senior citizen parents live in a Sealy apartment in Alabama & are endangered -- staff refuse to wear masks, the buildings are petri dishes with young people in & out, no social distancing. Even the guard at the pool and maintenance staff responsible for facility health & safety aren't wearing masks.
The complex was already poorly managed before the pandemic; in current conditions people's lives are in danger.

Sealy is a great place to live and work. Having lived at two Sealy properties and worked for the company I can say they genuinely do their best to care for their residents and keep their communities in pristine condition. I would recommend Sealy to anyone searching for an apartment in the Southeast!

I can t explain my frustration living at one of their properties In Alabama and trying to deal with them. They are very unresponsive in the property office, unprofessional and an act of god to get anything done. They have security on our property but you would know it because at times you never see them and at times they show up in shorts and flip flops. I have sent Sealy a message through their website asking to speak to an area or regional manager due to issues I have had, it s been 9 days and still waiting for a response. It s clear they don t value their customers. Really sucks. I have read other negative reviews and it s spot on from what my wife and I are dealing with.

I absolutely LOVE working for Sealy! I have been with the company for almost a year, and I can't imagine working anywhere else! You are surrounded by great staff, and wonderful residents. If you want to work for a great company that will take care of you, come to Sealy!

Quality of apartment: very good

Quality of apartment: very good
Noise from other apartments:poor
Maintenance: repairs very soon after requested
Complaint: maintenance entered my apartment w/o my consent or knowledge to replace a thermostat--which I did not request... I had opened mail from my investment company and statement from my bank opened and on the counter--in full view as this is a half wall between the kitchen and living room. I should have been made aware of maintenance coming so I could put away documents revealing my life savings. When I spoke with manager, Marybeth, she said she trusted the maintenance person's character and most it wouldn't bother most people if they popped in w/o notice. She didn't get my reason for discomfort and outrage.

Moving out of my current apartment that I've been in for 3 years and they want me to pay to have my carpet removed. That is suppose to be considered normal wear and tear not even considering the fact rent has gone up 3 times since having the apart and nothing about it has changed.

Maintenance at Sealy in Tuscaloosa is the worst I ve ever experienced. I have several unfinished orders piling up. They don t care about their residents; we should be their top priority. As soon as my lease is up I m moving and never looking back.

I am currently living at High country apt.i moved in in June escaping a badrelationship and needed an apt immediately for my daughter and myself. I am disabled and have limited income.I was robbed after 4 days. There are cars riding thru the complex at all hours even though there is supposed to be a quiet time after 9pm. There are groups of young men hanging out in the breezeways at any given time being loud and shouting obscenities or just walking around. I've had an alarm installed at my apt.i am afraid to walk my dog .The property manager put out a letter addressing these problems but of course to no avail. Now in a clear frame of mind I called the downtown office and spoke with Mr. Wilson who came across as rude and could care less about my personal situation. I told him I was afraid to live there with my child and feared for my safety and requested to be moved to another Sealy property. All he asked was if I had spoken to properly manager and his advice was to sublet!!!!! I asked him directly if there was anything he could do.and he said no! Beware of Sealy they own half the apartment s in Tuscaloosa but don't care you!!!!!!!!!!

If you are a foreign student like me and have just arrived in Tuscaloosa and need an apartment. I recommend you to come here. They are very friendly and have a good customer service. If you have any problem with the sink, window, fridge. Just call them and them send staffs to fix immediately. I just recommend not go to Sherrill Realty. They may have some cheaper options, but the customer service is so bad.

I love Cypress Cove apartments!!! They are hands down, one of the nicest properties I have ever seen with spacious apartment homes and resort style clubhouse and pool! The people are awesome and the staff are super helpful!

Awfu!!!!!l they have zero customer service abilities and zero financial stability long term. This company holds a double payment hostage . They can't even afford to correct easy finiacal issues the president is completly hands off and has his lower paid so called account managers handle complanits with lies. Steer clear my friends and let this company die on the vine with pretty faces and poor customer service. They will take your money with contracts full of sur charges and you will be ruined .. they advertise 9k in properties it's really 9 k apartments if you count the apartments individually. Do not use the auto pay system it will steal your money. These property's are ghettos with pools my friend. The president will not even stand up for the poor service and poor construction . I will post pictures of my apartment and luxury living they advertise with leaks and poor maintenance. Not a BBB property and they are not even trying to become one . I'm a facilities manager and they have no clue how to conduct themselves

Ever since I have moved in I have had maintenance out here at least 10 times. I have only been here a month. Their late, I had one guy out here 4 different times for the same issue. I don't if I'll be renewing. And I still have not received my screen door. My toilet paper holder keeps coming off. Upgrading these apartments would not be a bad idea for the money we pay. I was rented a lemon. I am not happy.

I have worked for Sealy for 9 years. I absolutely love this company. They make me feel I'm a very important part of the company as they do every employee. What I have always admired about Sealy is the standards they have of customer relations. They strive to achieve excellence in all areas of customer service, from leasing to work orders and thereafter. Sealy is #1.

I have lived at northbrook for 7+ years. The rent ...

I have lived at northbrook for 7+ years. The rent goes up every year with the amenities and quality of service rapidly decline. Today I've had enough. I've called management on site and main office for the last time. I've been told "they're gonna put your ass out if you don't quit complaining". The yard crew are the most lazy people I've ever seen. I've picked up trash outside myself. Today I was walking my dog and there on the side walk was a shattered glass. It cut my dog's foot and I very well may have to take him to the vet. I'll send them the bill since management here can't get her people to do their job. This place looks like Rosedale Courts (housing project) before it was blown away in 2011. I can't take my baby granddaughter out to play because many tenants do not pick up after their dogs. That really should be a task for the yard crew... It seems Sealy would want to make the place better for the rest of us. But no... They're only interested in getting you to sign that lease and they're done with trying to please you. I pay full rent not partial but my carpet doesn't match. The cheap quality of carpet began to pull and run few years ago and after they ascertained it wasn't because of my dog they replaced it... But only in living dining area and hall. Again I'm not paying partial rent but I'm living in an apartment with partial quality of what they would offer a first time tenant. Hence the comment they're not concerned with you after you sign the lease. It's embarrassing to have visitors that notice windows with sheets hanging in them instead of blinds like the lease requires. Spoke with on-site manager Crystal just yesterday for a 2nd time about the years crew and the blinds and she tried to talk a little short with me informing me they can't just go in the apartments... Well, yes you can if it's affecting the quality of service for the rest of us. Really she doesn't need to go in... If she would get out from behind that desk and ride and look she would see that from the out side. Yesterday they were more interested in getting their office remodeled. Don't be fooled by the office appearance... The apartments are not of the same quality as the office. I had trouble with my toilet and had to call maintenance back a 2nd time and he told me... "You could've done this yourself, you didn't have to call us". At one time I would have recommended this property but not now. This past Saturday 2 seperate apartment moved out and a third one is moving Thursday... Because of things that I have mentioned. A corporate tenant moved a couple months ago because of it. This could be a great property but it's going to take a manager that is more concerned with the property and the tenants moreso that being friends with the staff. They will suck up to you because they get a $$ bonus if you reup for another year but consider yourself warned... this property management does not give a rats tail about you after you sign the dotted line. There's more to tell, I've kept notes since day one but I'll leave it right here for now. Tenants talk among each other... After this they very well may "put my ass" out as I was warned....i heard a staff member say once.. We can rid this place of trouble makers a few complaints in their file and they're out of here. I do know of false documentation of a former tenant's file as well as a tenant that's still here. Consider yourself warned... find yourself another place to live.

Over priced, low quality apartments and will smack you with a ridiculous move out charges. Unfortunately they monopolize the apartment scene in Tuscaloosa so they screw over a lot of students.

I would rate the place no stars but then I wouldn't be able to write a review! I moved into an apartment complex the beginning of March and Sealy Realty company never would try to show me my apartment before I moved in and then on top of that when I moved in I had a list of things that were either broken or dirty! And I sent emails, made calls, and even went over to the office to get out of the lease and never had any REAL help with any of the problems. Then they tell me that I CAN NOT get out of the lease but there was another lady wanting to move in to my apartment and that, that would be my only way out of an lease for an apartment I NEVER GOT SHOWED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! And then when the lady showed interest in the apartment they lost practically all communication with me even though I an still having to pay for an Apartment that another lady Is trying to live in. Then I get a bill for over $7,000 that they are trying to get me to pay even though the lady is currently moving into the apartment or probably even already moved into. And when I went to the office the lady I spoke with said she didn't know anything about my situation and then went to look for my file then she came back saying she supposedly couldn't find my file and then called the lady (that was working on my lease with me that didn't help me in any way) and she never got an answer from her. Then when I did get a call back about the bill the lady that called kept repeating herself over and over saying that's what the computer says and how they CAN NOT CHANGE IT!!! And never would explain to me why I owed over $7,000. Then I sent emails to try and find out more info and never could get a response back!!! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!! This is the worst apartment renting experience I have ever had! I WILL NEVER RENT anything from this company ever again. And yes, I plan on getting a lawyer/ attorney involved if nothing is done about this issue!! Hopefully corporate reads all the bad reviews on this page and decides to do something about it! Because this is freaking RIDICULOUS!!!

UPDATE: I HAVE called the office and still no help! They act like they do NOT KNOW what the hell they are doing at this location! And still saying I owe them money when I NEVER lived in the apartment in the first place!! NEVER rent from this company because in the end they will try to screw you over!
*** Below is one of the cabinets that was falling apartment when I finally was able to look at the apartment after I already paid everything upfront!! ***

Huntington Downs is my favorite property I've ever lived at. I'm impressed with the office staff (including maintenance). The property is so pretty, like my own little slice of the outdoors in a centralized location. Thank you guys for helping create a wonderful place to live

I have been complaining about this bug problem since I moved into my apartment. I have not been here a month and the bugs are ridiculous. I have called at least 2 times a week since I've been a tenant and they came out once put some little things down and the problem is still there.

This company really monopolizes on college students in Tuscaloosa. The apartments are old and not up to date what so ever, no matter what property you visit. The prices are too high to have 1983 kitchen cabinets still in them. They believe in Santa, but not renovations!

While I have no major complaints about my stay @ Stone Creek Apartments, I do have a major issue with how long it is taking to get my security deposit back! I moved out on July 31st and here it is September 13th and I still have not received it! I feel that I am getting the 'run around' when it comes to the reason why!

This company does not give a sh** about issues residents bring to their attention. I've had numerous problems with the manager where I live at Lanesborough Apts in Knoxville TN and called Sealy. The manager can pretty much can do whatever she wants, regardless of whether or not it's fair or legal. Not once have I had a call back from Sealy. Also, every time I call the person I need to speak to (Pam) is in a meeting! I don't buy it for ONE second!

Lanesborough needs a decent manager. One who is fair and follows legal steps. Susan is not that person. I've yet to meet ONE person here who is pleased with how she runs things. She has given a lot of people problems here from what I've heard.

I just received an unfair and illegal eviction notice. I will fight it and file a lawsuit if necessary.
I ask that someone from Sealy call me ASAP to discuss this. Is that too much to ask?

I will neverrrrr rent from Sealy again! They just want money. They don't care about their residents, they just want money period. They're not willing to even TRY to work with you & the people in the main office are VERY RUDEE! I can't wait until my lease is up!!!

If you can avoid any apartments associated with Se...

If you can avoid any apartments associated with Sealy, do it! I moved in last year and the back sliding door was broken, I immediately told my apartment complex (northbrook) and they never did anything about it. Fast forward to a few months later and I was broken into, stole about $1500 worth and that would have never happened if I would have had my back sliding door fixed. To top it off, I emailed the office to ask if I needed to have my floors cleaned, seeing that my spouse is the owner of a restoration company. The office told me I did not have to worry about having my carpets cleaned, well Sealy is charging me $600+ because my carpets where not cleaned and I had urine spots, that would have came out with cleaning said carpets and they felt the need to replace them. So not only was I broken into because Sealy never fixed my sliding back door, but I m also getting charged carpet replacement when all I had to do was have them cleaned, which apparently my apartment complex gave me false information on. I feel as if Sealy owes me, not the other way around. A word of advice is, if you rent anything associated with Sealy, they will try their hardest to stick it to you anyway they can.

Dear Sealy Management, I have been trying for the last 6 months to get the manager over@ Aspen Village apt to do something about the noise control in the upstairs apartment above the apartment that has individuals living below them. We have talked with every adult in the apartment but it seems the noise level just gets louder the kids plays on a daily basis as they or out side and the individuals that pays rent or special need and we or there voice and they have a right to live in and environment that in quite, peaceful, free of some distractions. I understand kids or going to be kids but I know when you or being disrespectful. These guys pay rent and should be able to live in a peaceful place. I have went to the office and the held of security officer files now I'm reaching out to you.

I wouldn t give the 1 star, but I have to in order to leave a review. This company is trying to charge my daughter for carpet, when they clearly told her in an email not to worry about cleaning it.
When she moved in the screen door was leaning up against the fence, she lived there a year and it was never fixed. Her place was also broken into and her big screen, wii and 2 designer bags were stolen. Who knows, but maybe if her screen door had been replaced, the thieves would have had to break into two locks and it may not have happened. She lost over $1500 due to that robbery. Then had to spend another $1000 to replace TV and game system.
Now, sealy wants $600 for carpet. Don t think so....
