We brought our 2007 Prius in for routine service, ie., oil change, tire rotation with +138k miles on odometer. And thought we would take a look around to see what was new in the technology and style. Enter Nathan Gibson he talked with us for a few minutes to get acquainted and figure out what exactly we were thinking. He was very professional, answering questions, if he didn't have an answer he didn't hesitate to ask a co worker and would make sure he had the correct information by checking with a supervisor. Before long we did a quick drive of a 2019 Toyota Prius, with all the latest safety features. WOW....the cost for our budget was far more that we felt we could afford. We have heard about; but never thought about leasing. Nathan was very patient through explanation and how it worked. For us it was the way to go!
We are retired; and on a fixed income.
We are both in our late 70s and don;t know if we'll be driving in 3 or 4 years. We thought leasing to be a win-win decision.
If it hadn't been for Nathan I don't think we would have made the decision we made. Rating a definite 10.
BTW this is our fourth new Toyota

I went to have my brakes checked because they were squeaking. The service was performed and I highly recommend the service. I was told that the brakes were fine; I appreciate knowing that the brakes work and I was not lead to do unnecessary repairs. However, I am a little disheartened that I purchased the used car here and now have loud, squeaky brakes for a long time.

Amazing customer service & felt like I got best possible deal without haggling back & forth.
Jimmy Nguyen was the most relaxed car sales person I ve ever dealt with.
I could tell by reading him that he was honest & was getting best possible deal.
I appreciate how he made me feel like he was there to talk a bit to get to know what I was looking for then helped me get a car from Hickory since 2019 Camry Hybrid continues to sell out.
Phillip Stroup was efficient professional & enjoyed dealing with him.
Abby has an upbeat personality & helped with detail & explaining features of car. This was so helpful given it has to be transferred from Hickory.
I recommend them & Scott Clark s where you get a lifetime warranty along with free manicures when having car serviced.

The foundational principle of business growth is creating trusting, loyal relationships. This begins with the salespeople and "JR" Raulerson is a fine example of how customers would like to be treated. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and had a genuine concern for providing us the best possible service. It is because of JR that we did business with Scott Clarke Toyota.

My experience at Scott Clark's was the best. Desmond Campbell helped me pick the car I wanted - and even showed me a color I didn't know existed! He put absolutely no pressure on me and was laid back the entire time. We blasted music on the test drive, which made it seem more casual, instead of taking a driver's test at the DMV. Desmond also made the negotiating process painless. He was upfront with everything and helped me get the best price he could. I did a lot of research prior to going in - and got a very fair price that was below what most people have paid for it. After spending an hour or so with Desmond - it was off to finance with Kameron Knox! This is the part everyone dreads - but Kameron was an awesome guy. He didn't try to sell me unnecessary things - and only told me about a few options he thought I may be interested in. He kept the whole thing light and funny - and we spent a lot of time talking about movies and things other than cars! I would definitely buy my next car from Scott Clark's and I would recommend this place to EVERYONE, including my friends and family. I have nothing but great things to say about this place.

This dealership is beyond incompetent. If your looking to get screwed go to Scott Clark. However, if you want a car at reasonable price go ANYWHERE else. The people there are rude and often leave you alone to talk amongst themselves. They will lie to your face repeatedly, do not go to this place. I would rather buy a car off of craigslist at random then go to Scott Clark again. Please I urge you you not to go to Scott Clark. I beg you not to give a single cent to this company. Do not make the same mistake I have and go somewhere else to buy a car.

I cannot day enough great things about this dealership and my sales rep, Paul! This was the best experience I have had buying a car. Paul was so patient with me and took a lot of time to show me various options. I also appreciate Mike s help as well. This is a great group of people and hard to come by when purchasing a car. I would highly recommend Paul, Mike and the rest of their team to anyone!

This review is for my son as I was there with him ...

This review is for my son as I was there with him when he purchased a 2011 Toyota 4 Runner. This was last Friday, Feb 9th about 3:00 pm when he made the purchase. As part of the deal the dealership agreed to put on 4 new Michelin tires of which my son and the dealership split the cost and there was a missing headrest in the 2nd row that they said would be replaced. It took my son well over 1 1/2 hours after the deal was agreed to, to get to the finance manager office to sign paperwork. The tires were not available that afternoon and told him they would be done by Monday, Feb 12th at the latest. My son works out of town and got back in on Thursday, the 15th and went to pick up the 4 Runner. Low and behold the tires were still not in ( where are they getting the Michelins - available everywhere) and no headrest. He took the car and they said tires should be in next week ( don't believe them for a second). Also no headrest and we were told that is state law that each seat must have one. At this point he is very frustrated and I'm not sure if Scot Clark is trying to pull a fast one or not. When I was there I also looked at the 2018 Camry's for a possible trade, but at this point they would be the last Toyota dealership I would look at. Customer service has been terrible and no communication.

Travis Wilson - Outstanding sales rep

Travis Wilson - Outstanding sales rep

Travis is an unbelievable asset to Scott Clark Toyota. He is extremely knowledgeable about the 2014 RAV4 Limited and the 2014 Prius V Five that we bought recently. He is very friendly with an excellent sense of humor as well as being exceptionally helpful throughout all the ins and outs of car buying as well as the trading in of our 2 older Toyota SUVs.

Scott Clark Toyota is an exceptionally well run and organized car dealership. The service department is the largest that we have seen. It is exceedingly clean and orderly in appearance. Every one that we dealt with during the purchase and trade in experience was particularly well suited to their tasks required to proceed to the next step in closing the sales.

We were lied to and treated very poorly by Alex. I don't appreciate him pulling both of our credit scores, making promises, and never contacting me again. We drove a 10 hour round trip to purchase a Tundra here. We made it very clear that we needed to know about any damage at all, and we weren't. I found 10+ things wrong before we even took it on a test drive. The truck had front end issues, dents and deep scratches all over, and a few other things. They couldn't check it out on Sunday because their service dept was closed. We asked to please negotiate price so we could have the issues addressed ourselves, as we couldn't wait until the service dept opened the next day. Alex promised that he would call us back and let us know what he was going to do about the issues with the truck, the VERY poor trade in value they offered on our 2014 fully loaded tundra with 15K miles, and also get a better interest rate. He also promised to have someone drive the truck down *the next morning* to Georgia and take our vehicle back to the dealership. I spoke to him the next morning and he continuously cut me off over the phone, was very short with me, and had a less than friendly tone. I haven't heard from him since. I really thought we had found a decent dealership, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I have contacted the dealership regarding this, and management refuses to contact me. Don't do business here.

I called to price a transmission flush...I was told $350 plus tax. The exact same service at most other Toyota dealerships is $199 plus tax. (I price checked with 3 other dealerships).

Update: Fortunately the managers care enough to reach out to customers when there is a problem. I was actually misinformed by someone that was not a service advisor. After my conversation with the service manager, it appears their prices are comparable. I really appreciate David contacting me to explain the miscommunication and will contact him the next time my vehicle needs service. Thanks again.

The service dept is excellent. Crystal is, by far, the best service manager you'll find anywhere... SHE is the reason we keep bringing our 4 Toyotas to Scott Clark for service. She and the Scott Clark technicians deliver great quality at a fair price.

Marshall has always been very helpful. This time he made no exception. When I called he explained that it would be best to bring in the car and was able to get me in within the hour. He explained everything and the tech team was able to fix the problem the same day! That meant so much that I did not have to make another trip and wait again to get my problem resolved. Thanks

Awesome. I told Miguel what I wanted and he took me to where the cars were and explained the differences and I picked the one I wanted. Then we discussed numbers, came to a meeting of the minds then Mike Brown explained the financing end. Both men very knowledgeable in their field. Smooth, friendly, enjoyable experience. Very happy with my purchase!! If you are looking to purcase a vehicle I highly recommend Scott Clark Toyota and ask for Miguel!!

Have been dealing with Scott Clark Toyota for many years have purchased four vehicles from them everyone is always so nice & they are very thorough
Abby helped us with delivery of our new CHR she walked us through the blue tooth set up & all of its features , she is very knowledgeable, answered all questions even said we could call back if we thought of something later, she walked around our car to inspect the detailing , she is awesome & would buy any vehicle in the future from Scott clark

My experience at Scott Clark Toyota was excellent. Marshall Moore assisted and he gave me a comfort of knowing what exactly was going each second with my service. I went in for an oil change and I was notified right away with any of the technician findings with a detail explanation. I really appreciated that and I was also called in a timely matter for when my vehicle was finished.

I drove 1 1/2 hours to see a SUV and dealt with Dennis Mahoney. He stayed on his cell phone the ENTIRE time that I was looking at the car taking phone calls and texting. He was texting so much on the test drive that he missed telling me where to turn to get back to the dealership. When I told him I was also going to go look at a car down the street he replied that I had not told him I was looking at any other cars and seemed very aggravated. He got another gentlemen who insulted my intelligence by saying he needed to explain the difference to me between a car and a SUV. I went down the street and purchased the other car from Farrid at Keffer Hyundai who knows how to treat customers and by the way NEVER picked up his cell phone one time. Y'all work on commission right?

In 2008 I had a horrible experience at Scoot Clark Toyota. I went there yesterday to go look at a vehicle with & for my Sister, thinking it would be the same horrible experience. I WAS WRONG. A BIG thanks to Howard Levine for all his help & hard work. Due to Howard, she drove off in a brand new 2018 4 Runner at the best deal ever!

I'm here quite a bit because all i have are Toyotas. I bought my Camry about a month ago. That was the worst experience. The salesman believe it or not was fine. He was fixing someone elses screw-up. It was management that seem to have no respect for the customer. They will cry the blues, they will try to be your friend. They are NOT and they dont care what tactic they use. Oh i got the ole "if you have any problems email or text me", from Jimmy Cline (general mgr) Well i did the very day i went to pick up my car. I went to parts to price wheel locks. That man in parts proceeded to ask me "Why do i think i need wheel locks?" There was no car they sell that justified needing locks. Because most people lose the key, then they have to saw them off. They get 3 cars a week where someone lost a key." Ok, how i spend my money was not his business nor did i need his i am man and i know better speech.
Emailed and texted Jimmy Cline. I have yet to hear anything from Scott Clark. That place is a discrimination lawsuit ready to happen. Once you buy your vehicle you are history. Thanks for spending your money, get the h=#$ out!!!
That dealership, is really going down, you would think in this day and time management would be better. But bad stuff keeps happening over and over. Maybe changing mgmt out is the answer!!! Business is only as good as the people managing it.

Visited Scott Clark Toyota, and was introduced to Johnny Fluker. He allowed me the opportunity to inspect and drive the vehicle I had come to the dealership for. I was instantly convinced that this was the place I would do business with, however, that was soon to change.

Mr. Goodstein would be the manager that would work on my deal, and upon the appraisal of my trade in, offered me an insult of a price.

Once I stopped the negotiations and was prepared to leave, Mr. Goodstein came outside to interrupt a conversation between me and Mr. Fluker. He's very cocky, and lacks anything that resembles a personality for sales. I can't imagine that this will be the career he will retire from.

Mr. Clark, if you read this, please reconsider this hiring decision for this particular position. Mr. Goodstein is young, and very inexperienced with the proper way of treating customers. He could certainly be useful within your dealership, but I feel he is more cut out for clerical work, and shouldn't be put in any position that requires decision making beyond which numbers to press to transfer a call.

Service call due to a recalled airbag all contact once arrived was professionally handled and the visit started off great with Steve the repair was half the time as originally quoted and my little one and I had complimentary manicures (please be sure to tip not asked but the service was well worth it) if your hungry they have a small deli (pay) and complimentary wifi and coffee .

My experience at this dealership was a mixed bag. The salesman Jeff Lusk was excellent and very professional. Jeff went above and beyond to research features and answer my questions about the used car I was looking at and ultimately purchased. However, the sales manager was rather jerky as I had found the car online and the price was misquoted. Ultimately he honored the price but it was a very tense situation because he did not want to sell the car for the lower quoted price. As I have said my experience with the salesperson and finance person were great and I would give them 5 stars. The lower score reflects my experience with the rude sales manager.

Worst service experience I have had there. Had 9:30am appointment for oil change and brake service for 2014 GS 350 and was told it should take 2 to 2-1/2 hours. Ended up waiting 7 hours with no frequent updates indicating why it was taking so long and paying $1,500 to add insult to injury. I told service tech that I would have been better off taking my car to the Lexus dealership and he actually agreed

I had a great experience at Scott Clark's Toyota. Patricia Tate and the team made the whole process of trading in my 2013 Honda Civic for a 2018 RAV4 so enjoyable and seamless. They are very customer service oriented, which is hard to find these days. If you need a new or used vehicle, please go see them now. You won't be disappointed.

I LOVE my new car!! Working with DJ Gbemiro was so easy....he was patient and really took the time to find me the features I wanted at the price I wanted. He was amazing and I would 100% send anyone considering a new or used car to DJ and Mr. Harold Cruz over in finance!! And it didn't take the normal 6-8 hours that most car dealers take!! Thank you!!

I went to two different places before I went to Scott Clark Toyota and I should have just gone straight there. They were able to diagnose and fix my problem while the other two places told me they couldn't find anything. Being that my minivan is my Family vehicle and extremely important that it is 100% safe the technician and service writer were patient and understanding of my concerns and even let me go for the ride to help diagnose the problem . Chris O Mahoney the service writer and Brad the technician were fantastic and solved my problem and took away all my concerns. My van is running like i just bought it.

I enjoyed going there knowing what to expect before I got here and then being waited on quickly. I was able to articulate what I wanted and it was understood I received a phone call telling me what was going on and was given the exact cost of the repair ahead of time.

My son and I went to look for a new tundra at Scott Clark. We both have purchased on from them before. Michael Miller made everything possible. He listened to what I wanted and what I could afford. I left that night with a beautiful Tundra. Thank you so much Michael.

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about our car-buying experience at Scott Clark s Toyota. We began the Saturday of Labor Day weekend visiting a few other Toyota dealerships. By Monday, we decided to visit Scott Clark s Toyota. This dealership is almost 2 hours from our house and we can happily report it is well worth the drive.

As we drove there, we started reading reviews online about the dealership. There were many positive reviews and we couldn t help but notice positive reviews for one of their salesmen, Johnnie Fluker. We decided that was the salesman we would ask for.

As we pulled into the parking lot, we definitely got the wow factor. They have so many choices of both new and used cars/trucks. The choices seem endless. We ventured out by ourselves at first seeing what specifically they had as far as Toyota Tundras. After a bit, we went inside where a nice, friendly receptionist welcomed us in. As chance had it, Johnnie was standing at the desk so we immediately began speaking to him. Everyone we encountered was beyond hospitable and friendly. Bonuses to note on the inside are the deluxe coffee station, snack bar, place to get free manicures, clean restrooms, and a shop to buy all kinds of Toyota accessories.

While all of those amenities are nice, what mattered to us was the deal itself. No doubt there were back-and-forth discussions as we tried to come to a price fair to both parties. What impressed us was how these guys handled the transaction from start to finish with such professionalism. Remember, we had been to several other dealerships prior to this one and had even been talked down to at one dealership. These guys are top notch in how they treat you. Special thanks to Jacques as well as he helped make this transaction happen too. At another dealership, they made it seem as if we were trying to steal from them after we made our counter offer. That was not the case here. They made us feel taken care of the entire way and although there was give-and-take by both sides, the friendly banter continued the entire time.

We knew exactly what we wanted and that included a Tundra with extras that were not standard to it. Johnnie and the team had to do quite a bit of work to get the exact one we wanted. We came back several days later to pick it up. They had everything ready to go. Before we left with our new truck, the general sales manager, North, came out to make sure we were happy. Their concern for our happiness seemed genuine as they all bent over backwards to take care of us. Thanks to Shane too for calling to check up on us a few days later.

We are a family of Toyota car owners and we have definitely found a lifelong partnership with Scott Clark s Toyota.

I have owned a Toyota for over 25 years and rarely had problems with the car. My current RAV4 is 13 years old and it was purchased at Scott Clark Toyota. For all these years I have taken it to Scott Clark for servicing including all oil changes. i trusted the Service Department and always had positive experiences there. In May of this year, my check engine light came on and once again I took it immediately to Scott Clark for diagnosing. I knew enough this time to ask for error codes and already decided that I would not put any major money into it. After doing a free check, the service person told me that the car needed a new charcoal canister at the cost of $620.32. I asked about a loose gas cap and was told that the error code indicated it was not a loose gas cap. So I went home, cleaned and tightened the cap and a couple of cold starts later the engine light went out. I had it inspected today and there was no emission problem. I now wonder if the $900 I spent for repairs last year was necessary. I will never, NEVER, trust this company again and hope everyone becomes alert to the service department rip offs.

I would highly recommend this dealership for any Toyota needs.

I just purchased a 2013 Toyota Camry from Scott Clark's Toyota in Matthews, NC. I've purchased many new cars over the years, but this was my first Toyota and I love it! It was also the best experience I have ever had purchasing a car!! Most of the negoiations were handled via email with Mike Black...buying a car in your PJ's really does work!! He was very helpful in finding me the car that I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. Mike had the car ready for me to test drive at the scheduled time and had already filled the gas tank and washed the car! Mike's assistant, Kameron Knox, assisted us with the test drive and handling the final paperwork. He was so nice and was very helful with explaining the car features and even helped to us get that last $38 off the sales price...requested by my husband who had nothing to do with the initial negoiation...he had to have some input...lol!! The final paperwork was completed in a timely fashion and I was ready to drive off in my new car in record time! They even had someone come out and help us get our belongings out of the car we traded. She helped me set up my cell phone on the blue tooth in the car and explained all the vehicle controls...lights, signals, radio, etc. I even received a phone call a few days later asking me if everything was going good with my car or if I had any questions about the car. Usually, after the sale, they don't worry about you anymore until a few years later when they want to sell you another car!! This was an all around good experience and I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for great customer service and a great price!!!

First time having my car serviced at this location and the experience was great. A variety of hot beverages... a work station... free manicure while your car is getting serviced... charging station... clean... I can go on but I'd like to mention Archie who was very professional and courteous the entire time i was there. Took his time explaining things to me and came to get me personally when my car was ready. I recommend this location!

I'm usually leery of auto dealerships, because most I have dealt with are pushy and somewhat deceptive. We just bought a new 2012 Corolla at Scott Clark's, and had an excellent experience with J.R. Raulerson (sales consultant), George Billett (sales mgr.), and the finance department. I highly recommend Scott Clark's Toyota City for your next vehicle.

We had a pretty good experience. The only thing that was iffy was that when we pulled away they said that may be the battery might not be able to keep a charge It's stalled in the driveway and I charged it up and brought it back to Scott Clark Toyota and they gave me a brand-new battery. Other than that it's the Toyota RAV4 is a great car. We are happy.

We had an excellent experience. Our service rep, Justin Bustle, was great to assist us. He kept us posted and well informed. We were in for a scheduled maintenance on our 2011 Camry and he was very cordial and professional. Thank you, Justin, and thanks to Scott Clark Toyota for the continued excellent service we have had on this our fourth Toytota.

I thought sales people were great threw buying process. Then after the purchase they wouldn't return phone calls or talk with me about issues I had with vehicle. The temporary tag they gave me is now out of date and still haven't gotten my permanent tag. I hope they make right on everything. They say sorry for the miscommunication. That wasn't the problem it was the lack of communication all together

Scott Clark Toyota has to be one of the best places to buy new/used cars I ve had the pleasure of buying both new and used vehicles. They made the experience absolutely awesome and if something wasn t right they double checked and fixed any mistakes. From sales to service and customer service they are at the top of the game 100% recommended by me.

Had to give a shout out to Jay Sadler and Ben Garner over at Scott Clark Toyota for my new wheels! Without a doubt the best car purchase I have ever had, and there's been more than a few. Hard to beat a complimentary unlimited lifetime warranty. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new ride.

If you enjoy the back and forth deal-making that o...

If you enjoy the back and forth deal-making that one typically imagines when hearing "car salesman", than this is the dealership for you. If, like me, you see a car online and want to drive it and then pay the price posted on the internet, then this is not the dealership for you. Let's start with the good aspects: The front-desk receptionist was very friendly and responsive and even if she was busy, she effortlessly juggled her other tasks while still making you feel noticed and important. Colton, our salesperson, was very good at listening to our needs and picking a vehicle that would meet those needs. The dealership pays for a food truck (I think only on the weekend) where you can pick whatever goodies you want for no charge, which is smart considering how long the average customer has to spend there. The good aspects end there. The overall environment of the dealership is loud and impersonal. From the start, our salesperson told us that he had never bought a car. This should have been a red flag for us. He then continued to complain about his co-workers to us, which was unprofessional, but since he was a kid (only 20 years old) we gave him the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to inexperience in the workplace. The negotiations concerning the trade-in were ridiculous. Colton told us that there was leak in the exhaust and he would not be able to give us the KBB value for the car. We were surprised at this news since we always serviced the vehicle at the Subaru dealership and had it appraised at a Subaru dealership just a week before where no such leak was mentioned. The car was definitely worth the KBB value especially because it was low mileage for the year. We pushed past this obvious "duping" tactic because the trade-in was not necessary for us to buy the vehicle. As we tried to purchase a used 2017 Camry, we were again surprised at the "administrative fee" that is definitely three times the average dealer's fee. A finance person then stepped in and said that we would get a much better deal on a brand new Camry. He said to pick out whatever vehicle we wanted within a certain price range and that we would "talk" after. This led us on a wild goose chase to find a vehicle that did not exist instead of Colton simply looking up the available options and presenting us with them. After the hour of searching we found out that there were no vehicles similar to the used one we originally wanted to purchase and that the one car that came closest was $2,000 more than used one. To say the least, it was a complete waste of time. But alas, we still wanted to buy a Camry and we had already been there for so long, we decided to stick it out. We eventually were able to come to an agreement on the used car and were led to a different table to wait for the finance process. That's when our salesperson left without ever communicating what would happen next in the process (we literally never saw him again the whole time we were there). So at this point, we were on our own and had no clue what we were waiting at this table for. There was a lack of communication. After an hour, I told the front desk person about our situation and she tried to locate our salesperson without success. Eventually, I found the finance specialist and told him how we had been left. He eventually brought us to Philip who took us through the paperwork and was extremely friendly, patient, and helpful. Overall, it was not a total loss, but this dealership needs to work on its professionalism and attitude toward customers. Buying a car is no small task. A person is making a large financial decision and that should not be taken lightly by ignorant salespeople.

Mike Miller made the car buying process pleasant! My circumstances being, upside down on my trade, building credit score and $1500 down. (upside down by 2500). Not only did he respect my circumstances , he welcomed the opportunity to work with me.

I got the car I wanted (2010 Prius), he found the financing for me BEFORE I was sent to the finance department!!! He made the experience professional, decent and respectable. (never thought I would attach those words to buying a used car with post recession circumstances)

Please speak with Mike Miller at Scott Clark Toyota if you are looking, I recommend him for all car buying circumstances.
