I had an excellent experience purchasing my vehicle at Scott Clark. The salesmen, in particular Dominic Paione, were very professional and allotted sufficient time for me to review and test drive several vehicles. The delivery process was reasonably smooth and once again the staff were very patient in demonstrating for me the new features of the automobile that I had purchased.

First, I would like to say THEY WILL SELL YOUR INFORMATION. How do I know this? Well, I have never had anything to do with my husband's former 2008 Toyota Tundra, except one time. I took the Tundra to be serviced at Scott Clark Toyota. The maintenance people took down my name AND my number at that point. No big deal, right? UNTIL months later, when I started getting calls from a warranty center EVERY 3 to 6 months asking me to renew the warranty on my 2008 Toyota Tundra. Coincidence? I think NOT. No matter what I say, what I do, the calls have been coming in for at least a year, if not longer. I've tried EVERYTHING to make it stop. In fact, when I confronted a finance guy about it (when we stupidly bought another car at this dealership), all he could do was shrug his shoulders and say, "sorry, I wish I could help you, thats on their end." Not to mention all the letters, flyers and junk mail I get wanting to buy my 2008 Toyota Tundra. My name was never on that car. I never associated my name with his truck except then. My husband bought that vehicle before we were married. My name isn't on any finance paperwork. I am tired of being HARASSED. I've told them not to call, and even threatened legal action. MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although we bought a car from SC, it's only because we couldn't find what we wanted at another dealership. We were treated unkindly by salesmen, finance guys, and the person who sells the extras. The only saving grace was the final salesman we spoke to .Dominick was the ONLY reason we bought our car. He's awesome, and very smart. But mark my words; this is the LAST car we will buy from SC, and I am terrified that soon I will not only get calls about a truck WE DONT EVEN OWN ANYMORE, but my new car too.

I had a great experience here. Mike Miller and Leudy Pichardo were really helpful, kind and honestly had great senses of humor. At first I was overwhelmed at the process and feeling a little defensive like many that come to a dealership. But they were patient and really helped me get a great deal that was actually within my budget. I know I wasn t buying a brand new top of the line car but they treated me just as well. As someone who works in a retail and a customer service driven job, this was a refreshing experience. Thank you guys! I will be telling everyone about y all!

Service was oil change and tire rotation on our Highlander. We had an 8:30 a.m. appointment. Dropped off the car just before 8:30, ran some errands and picked it back up before 10:00 a.m. We have a 2003 Highlander and a 2014 Tacoma. Prior to purchasing the Tacoma, we used other service providers for service on the Highlander. Our first real experience with Scott Clark was the purchase of the Tacoma in Feb 2014 (which was the best car buying experience we ever had). We have since used them for all of our service needs for both vehicles and have been very satisfied. The reminders they send out for upcoming scheduled maintenance have been very helpful. One less thing for us to have to track on our own.

it was $47 for a 10k oil change for a Prius, pretty standard. Because I drove in early for my 10:15am for my appointment and drove out over two hours later.

My family services 5 cars there, am I the unlucky one who ends up waiting so long? Last time I was there with my Kia it took close to there hours. But, I asked and my parents also had times when an oil change took close to three hours. They don't seem to mind because they've been getting service there for so long and it is one of the nicest places to go to for maintenance.

Im not gonna lie, feeling a little upset as I'm writing this review, but I do have a legitimate suggestion that should be discussed with the employees.

After a wait an employee found me and told me my car was ready, he took me to the cashier and I paid, easy enough. She said "you're all done" and I went outside with a small group of people waiting for their cars. One by one cars were pulling up for people to claim. I stook there like an idiot for 30min waiting for my car to pull up, no one told I was supposed to go from the cashier inside the main building to a desk at the service department to ask them to pull up my car up! I learned of that when I finally came in asked for some help. Next time please just let the customer know what the procedure is for getting the car back

TERRIBLE. I spent several hours there one weekend and could not make a deal. The next saturday Desmond Campbell called me and said he could make the deal happen. After a 40 min drive and 2 hours at the dealership working with another salesman (Desmond was not available for our SCHEDULED appointment) i requested to see Desmond. No one knew where he was, i finally located him myself and when confronted the manager Jimmy Cline asked me to leave.

Waited 1.5hours as told, he came up to me saying i need to change this, need to get that done, etc, etc. I told him i would take care of it later and he said "Why?" as in why the heck are you not doing this now. Uhm... bc it was estimated over 800 dollars? Nope. Gotta take it to somewhere else.

waited another hour, he never came back. Someone else came and informed me that my car was ready.

I had a coupon and showed it to a cashier and she called the guy who took in my car and was informed that discount has been applied. It seemed like there wasn't but cashier only replied back to me saying 'it has been applied' when the coupon clearly said "34.99" vs 44.99 on invoice..

I went out and picked up my car and of course, no car wash.

You guys used to be better.. I guess cheap customer like me won't be going back after treated like one.

This Toyota dealership was a far drive when I got there it was kinda confusing of where to go but I was helped by friendly staff. The workers were very attentive and gave me updates about everything they were going to do. Great customer service, it did take a while but they had a place to wait while they fixed my car. They also had free manicure, I didn't get mine done. It was cold that day but they had a fire place to just sit and wait. It was warm and a comfortable place to wait.

When a tiny chip in the windshield eluded both the dealership and me, and was not found until after I drove off the lot, Scott Clark Toyota did not hesitate to offer replacing my windshield at no cost to me. This is evidence of the great customer service they offer. A long-time customer, my father had recommended Scott Clark to me, and I m glad he did.

Unfortunately, after dealing with Scott Clark for several months now, I am taking away my stars. They have been very short with me and very rude over the phone, on more than one occasion.
One representative even refused to get me over to a service specialist, insisting that she can help me instead, and after 10 minutes on the phone we discovered that she couldn t help me after all. Because of her ego I wasted my time.
As another example, I found that the major service visits promised to me during my sit down with the finance manager were not included in my service plan in their system, and I had to fight really hard to get them put back into my plan. In the end, not all of them were eventually put back in. I had to settle for less.

I purchased a used car from this location. The car was placed on the lot with bad brakes, and in test driving the vehicle I noticed the brakes were squeaking. I informed my salesman that I needed the brakes repaired immediately. The dealership replaced the brake pads, however they did so with generic brakes, which caused more issues because they did not belong on the car. I informed my salesman yet again that the brakes were not working properly again and that I needed the brakes replaced with the proper brakes that needed to be on the vehicle. The salesman assured me that the service manager would call me to make an appointment to repair my car, however I waited an entire day and the service manager never contacted me. I tried to arrange a meeting to speak with the service manager however he completely avoided contact with me during my entire visit to the dealership. Though my experience was rather awful, I can say that my salesman was kind and he was trying his very best to help me. The car that I purchased was not a Toyota product, however I do own one and I do not intend on allowing them to service my Toyota vehicle any longer nor will I consider purchasing another car from them.

I was contacted by Jacques Deadwiley after visiting Scott Clark's website and exploring their inventory of previously owned vehicles. I test drove a candidate hybrid, but had serious concerns about the specific vehicle in question and hybrids in general. Jacques implored me to return at a later time such that he, personally, could demonstrate and explain the features unique to hybrids, and allow me to test drive another vehicle. I returned a few days later, and Jacques did an excellent job addressing all of my previous concerns. He and others of the Scott Clark staff expedited the purchase process, including acceptance of a 24-year old vehicle as a trade-in, and we completed the transaction within 2 hours time. This is, by far, the best experience that I have had with an automobile dealer since 1968.

I feel so safe and secure when I take my car to Scott Clark in Matthews NC the service advisors are all great to work with they inform u on what is going on with your vehicle and they are very honest people they do not try to take the advantage of me as a woman like a certain dealship that I have been going to reasonally serving my Toyota Camary and that dealership has been dishonest and leaving parts off my car and patching my front tire and leaving me in a bad situation at another Toyota dealership that I have been going for years and I have never had to check in behind any services that Scott Clark do to my Toyota Camary .Scott Clark service advisor, salemans, and the mechanic is so good at what they all do and I have to drive all the way from Shelby N C to get great honest service and this is a long way but It is worth every bet of my time and my gas and thanks to the entire staff and be Blessed!!! They make you pay for the 2nd key that came with the vehicle.
Everything seemed fine when we were buying the car. It was a used 2016 toyota sienna. It was the key that turned this experience into a nightmare. First they told us that they only had one key available for the car and we would need to purchase the 2nd key if we wanted a 2nd key. If they had a second key, they would give it to us but unfortunately they didn't. If we bought it at the same time as the car, it would be at a reduced price of $300(IDK if that was reduced or not but we took their word for it). We agreed. They said the key maker only comes in on Mondays. When the key is ready, they will call us for pick up. When it was ready a few weeks later, we picked it up. It was in an envelope and we didn't check it. When I got home, I took the key out and saw that it was a USED key. Seriously? I paid for a USED key?! I called and complained to Paul, the manager who helped sell us the vehicle. It took them almost two months to call to make an appointment to make a new key. This time I had to go back to the dealership to remake the key. According to Paul, they want to make sure the key is completed to my satisfaction so I have to be there when they remake the key for me. When we got there Tracey let us know that all of the keys had to be reprogrammed together otherwise if one is programmed without the other, the other key will not work. They had the 2nd key this whole time and made me pay for the 2nd key! What a bunch of greedy sleeve balls!
Tracy made us a new key and said that I would have 3 keys now. That was a LIE too....Can these people just tell the truth for once? Honestly, if she said they had to take the 2nd key off to give us a new key, I would've been fine with that. Another mistake I made was just checking to make sure the new key worked on the car. We decided to keep the new(3rd) key as a spare. I had a key and my hubby kept the 2nd key. I normally drive the van. A about a week later my hubby drives the van and realized that it does not work anymore. Seriously?!
If I knew they were going to screw me over, I would never had bought a second key!

I could not be happier with this location. I had a BIT OF a miscommunication error this past weekend that let me down but almost immediately Jim the GM got on the phone and made it right. We got to work out a deal on a 2016 Tundra which I'm already in love with. He then turned it over to Travis who was a huge help and extremely nice and professional. Finally ended up with Mike in finance and he again was as nice and professional as he could be. I would recommend these guys any day and will certainly be back for my next vehicle!

my review was deleted thanks to google and it was also because these guys here have a poor service department and unqualified mechanics working on your cars! i went here for a oil change, they cracked the oil philter housing and refused to replace it then forgot to tighten my oil pan bolt! so on my way to work bolt falls out, car over heats and im sitting on the side of the road with no oil! thanks again!

My experience was too good to be true thanks to Dennis Lee. I walked on the lot at 9:00 am and drove off less than 2 hours later with a new ride. Everyone I encountered provided excellent customer service. I am so pleased that I chose this location to purchase because I have nothing bad to say about my experience.

We brought our Sienna Van in thinking the worse. Max did a diagnostic on the van and they couldn t find anything. My husband went on a test drive with them and they felt the problems. It was our transmission. Luckily we were still under the Toyota warranty and they replaced it for free. We were told it would take up to 2 weeks to come in but within 4 days they called to say they had it. We took it in that day and within 4 days (weekend included), we had our van back. The service was excellent!

10 Stars if there is such a thing. From Sales to service, Scott Clark Toyota is the place to go to purchase a vehicle. The GM, Mr. Cline, is an exceptional man. I had a bit of trouble with my truck ( Nice ride huh?) and the issue was not covered within the extended warranty. Mr Cline and his team, not having to, helped me with the repairs to get my truck back to running like new. Hats of to these folks. Customer satisfaction at it's best. Thanks Mr. Cline and your staff for a great experience!!!

I purchased my vehicle in 2015 at this dealership and have been bringing it in for maintenance since then. Normally I do not have a problem. However, this time I scheduled an appointment for 11:15 a.m. and it took near 4.5 hours to complete my service (50k maintenance, oil change, and state inspection)! When asked what the point of making an appointment was, I was told I received priority over those who did not make an appointment. In addition, I felt the service writer was very unprofessional in dealing with my complaints. I spoke with the manager, who basically reiterated that I received priority for making an appointment, and in the end was just half heartedly apologized to, and that was that. I did not feel that anyone really cared as I was only given a slew of excuses and felt as though I was being told essentially that I was wrong. I left feeling very frustrated. If appointment times cannot be honored during busy days, they should not schedule so many appointments on those days.

We bought a car here in July of 2014 and it was as painless as any car buying experience would be. The service was absolutely transparent though. I scheduled online, showed up, Robert Scheich took care of my car. I had a cup of complimentary coffee and worked on their wifi for an hour. Robert went over my work details, had me sign off, then I left. Great lounge, sandwich bar, sodas, TVs. The wifi was shared and public so not fast or secure, but I have a VPN and used a little patience. I'll be going back.

Brought vehicle back to be told everything was fine only to continue to have issues. Sales blamed service dept & service dept blamed sales. Very unhappy customer! Service always takes forever even for a simple oil change. I dropped it off with the tire pressure light on and was still on when I picked it up. You would think that's part of the so-called multi point inspection...or do they even bother to check everything. I've bought three cars in the last ten years from Scott Clark and I'm working towards replacing them all from another dealership. I haven't really been happy in quite some time.

I am 24 years old and am still new to the car financing world. My whole team that I worked with at Scott Clark Toyota went above and beyond what I could have asked for. Everyone was so nice and so helpful and they didnt make me feel rushed at all even though it was late in the day. They understood that buying a car was a big financial decision and let me have the time I needed to figure out finances. They also worked well with my budget and did everything they could to try and work it out to get me in my dream truck. They were all such a blessing and I would highly recommend to trust them with your care. They truly are the best!!

The sales team and service department are stellar. I got a great car and was negotiated with fairly. However I did not have the best experience with one individual in the finance department. I left frustrated and wishing I hadn t bought a car. Unfortunately, this soured my experience and I will not likely be shopping at Scott Clark again. However for those who are searching for a vehicle I would not rule out this place totally. Like I said, some great folks work here and after navigating a tricky situation I m happy with the final result: a reliable car.

While the actual day I looked at and purchased the vehicle went well, the remainder of the process has been beyond subpar, and the customer service severely lacking. The process has taken more than two months, and I have had to deal with 4 separate people, one of which was fired shortly after my purchase for said reasons above. Had I not received a tax bill on my old vehicle and contacted the DMV, I would not have known there was an issue as Scott Clark did not contact me first. I had a pending insurance lapse due to a major delay on the part of Scott Clark!! No one did anything until the day I called them to determine what was happening on their end. From start to finish, I have had to reach out to them for updates and information. Everyone is very attentive when purchasing, but the afterwards is horrendous. I would not return after this experience.

I had shopped several dealers in the Gastonia are, Toyota and Nissan, to name a few and then I had the great opportunity to meet Mike Black at Scott Clarks Toyota. My experience at the Gastonia dealers was the same old, "dance and game playing", that some dealers do. Not with Mike. When I first met Mike it was by chance and my appearance gave the impression that I could barely afford to buy a coke, much less a brand new 2013 Toyota Tacoma. That did not change Mike one bit. Upon my first hand shake with him to the completion of the sale Mike was very professional, sincerely friendly, and very very knowledgeable of the product. I had met Mike on a Thursday for about 30 minutes, returned Friday with my wife to look at colors and was there about 45 minutes at which time I agreed to make the deal with Mike. Saturday I completed the paper work and took possession of my new Toyota Tacoma. My entire experience with all the team at Scott Clarks was really great. Marc Bartalini in the business section helped me through the paper work and sale completion with the cashier department. Marc was no different than Mike. Very professional, friendly, helpful and again very knowledgeable. Then entire staff at Scott Clark to include the young lady who delivered the vehicle to me were outstanding. I am a Vietnam veteran, 64yrs old, and have met and dealt with many people through the years, to include car dealers, and in my opinion Scott Clarks Toyota is the most outstanding I have ever met. I went to Scott s Clark Toyota to help me get out of a car that I bought from East Charlotte Nissan earlier this year. I was traumatized from my experience at East Charlotte Nissan. But I m so glad I went to Scott s Clark Nissan they helped me the best they could and were very honest unlike East Charlotte Nissan. My salesman Jeff was very patient with me & a very honest man. He also entertained my children while I did my paperwork. A very nice man. I would recommend anyone to go see Jeff. Jimmy was my sales rep and he treated me like I wanted to be treated, not like a money sign. He didn't try to sell me anything that I wasn't looking for. Infact, he catered to my needs and didn't waste my time with all the extras dealers can make money off of. Bottom line, I left with a new car and Jimmy won a custom for life. Very personal and listens to details.

Horrible experience!
First of all, i made a appointment to view a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 several days in advance. On the day of the appointment, i arrived very excited to see this vehicle and had every intention to purchase because i told the sales representative that i was dealing with i had to drive almost two hours and did not want to waste my time nor theirs, and i needed a vehicle to drive 8 hours to see family over the Thanksgiving holiday.

They had this vehicle for about 3 months and some how NO ONE was aware that the back up camera didn't work, one seat belt was chewed in half, and on seat belt lock wasn't functioning. That wasn't discovered until i was already there test driving it.

They did offer to fix it, but i told them how much of an inconvenience it's going to be for me to drive another two hours (one way), wait for them to finish the repairs, and then drive home (basically using up my whole day). I wish they would've had this vehicle prepared to be sold (or informed me of these very unsafe flaws before arrival) so i could've came back a day or two later and purchased it.

I fought with them for almost two hours, demanding that they compensate me in some form by reducing the asking price, or making arrangements for somewhere else to make the repairs that is closer to me because i'm going to have to use my money and time to come back to this dealership. I even asked for them to ship parts to my address and i will do it myself. They rejected every offer i suggested and would not reduce their asking price.

This was a very frustrating situation, and the manager that was on duty was so unhelpful and could care less about the customers satisfaction. The salesperson told me that the manager would rather see me walk out of here without purchasing this vehicle instead of reducing the price due to the flaws in the vehicle. He also told me "Business is all about money", and i responded with "A good business also cares about their customers satisfaction".

Bravo to them because i didn't really have much of a choice but to purchase this vehicle that day after i already made the effort to arrange transportation there and i needed a vehicle to drive home for Thanksgiving.

The next day, i'm examining the truck in the day light and see scratches all over the vehicle, a very poor detail that the dealership performed the night prior, a dent in the rear bumper that is pushing up the plastic piece, they tried cutting the pin off the hitch and is now stuck/ jammed in there, there's two small cracks on the top of the windshield, a cigarette burn on the roof of the cab, my USB charging ports in the center console do not work, and a small dent in the front bumper. I discover all of these flaws AFTER paying their asking price because i didn't have another choice.

***Also forgot to mention it only came with one key (no fob) so now that everytime i open the door the alarm goes off. I asked them to provide me with a fob and another key and they also declined my request**

This was my first time buying a vehicle from a dealership, and i can't express how disappointing Scott Clark Toyota made what was supposed to be a very joyful experience. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

My experience with Craig Rose at Scott Clark Toyota was a great one! He is very patient, friendly, and knowledgable. Although I did not end up finding my dream car at the dealership, he was the sales consultant that I felt most comfortable test driving vehicles and sharing my desired budget with. We were nervous about driving all the way to the dealership because of the negative dealing with other car dealerships. Rest assured, it s worth the drive. We dealt with Ace on what we were looking for, model, price and make of the vehicle. When we arrived, Mike Miller greeted us and told us that Ace had been promoted to Finance Manager. Mike showed us exactly what we had asked for and went above and beyond to meet our requests. We were Ace s first customer in the finance position. Scott Clark's Toyota is the best! I love their friendly, prompt service. They can schedule me whenever I need to come in. I always work with my service manager, Marshall Moore, who is great! He knows my car, offers suggestions, saves me money when he can, and takes care of any issues. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
