What a great water park! We started in the west water park which is fed by water out of the river, so no chlorine smells or hurting eye's. It had lots of trees for shade and lots of great rides. It has plenty to do all day. We then took the tram to the east water park. You could tell it was alot newer. It had chlorine in the water. It had alot less trees but definitely had newer and updated rides. It also is a day trip by itself. I would recommend spending at least two days if you are planning on riding all of the rides. All in all it was a great experience and we will definitely go back.

Great fun, fun rides and something for everyone. Plenty of other things to do in the area for a fraction of the price though. As a visitor, much as I enjoyed it, my time and money could have been better spent elsewhere. I would not return.

This place is one of the best waterparks in the country. However, the last of the season is reserved for season ticket holders. We paid full price for one third of the park. I was very disappointed. I did think to call because who does that? Maybe next year will be better. I hope so. The kids and I have had a lot great memories here.

I went there to get away from crowds of people, but there were massively large crowds of people. The river was packed. Don't go there in the summer looking to "get away." Floated past lots of latinos smoking pot and drinking beer, yet my family was stopped by latino police wherein they confiscated our peanut butter crackers, potato chips, and threatened to take our water bottles because they were plastic. Besides that and the over crowded river/stream it was pleasant.

The only thing I did not like was the master blaster kept shutting down. Stood in line for one and a half hour plus the shut down of the ride took another hour. People with the blast pass got to go three times to our NOT once

The parks fun but seems like theres always a part closed. The concessions need alot of improvement, not enough help, the food needs to be better quality. I had a funnel cake finally and turns out it was fried in old grease couldnt eat it!! So disappointing! The drink machines weren't working in one area so had to go through the line again at another booth. Just needs better management overall in the concessions areas.

IF YOU ARE BUYING TICKETS, BUY THEM AT HEB. Tickets at HEB are way cheaper than buying online or when you get there. Once there, the lines were very long but I didn t expect anything else. I had a great time with my family and there was a little something for everyone. Everything there is overpriced I recommend buying whatever you need before you arrive. The food was over priced but good.

I checked online and saw no restrictions, however when we paid and got in we find out pay of the park was closed as well as The falls. We were not informed about this before we paid and entered the park. Pretty disappointing.

Lines are to long, but that's understandable, however they have a system that let's you wait in line virtually, but it costs $40 person, plus the ticket price. The only things that are worth it are the old park, the rapids in the new park, and the wave pool. Everything else has insanely long lines for attractions that are lack Luster at best.

Nothing fancy, but fantastic for a family vacation! The water was extremely cold for this native Floridian but that didn't stop us! Every member of the staff was top notch. The rides were fun, very PG, nothing too crazy. If we are ever in TX again, we'll definitely hit up the Schlitterbahn!

I am in my late 60s. I still look forward to going to Schlitterbahn. First went in the late 70s and it continues to get better. There are venues for the daredevils down to the toddlers. They make it worry free by letting you store your valuables. Also many food options including bringing your own.

We had a wonderful time and I really enjoyed the picture opportunities that we had. As a mom I am hardly ever in the picture so it was nice to capture this moment. There is so much to do and of you sign up for their email they send you coupons. Still the hottest coolest time in Texas! The tradition lives on.

Fun as always. I recommend the watch like thing to save time and not stand in line. Just reserve your time and pretty much walk onto ride. Otherwise you could spend one, two or more hours in line. With the band you can do other stuff and not stand in lines in the heat.

We are originally from Houston so we usually go to the Galveston Schlitterbahn location, but come to find out this New Braunfels location is about 5 times the size and fun! We parked and shuttled to the waterpark and while the line to get our bands was a little long, it didn t take longer than expected.

Everyone knows that the pricing for lockers at these waterparks are pretty scammy, so if possible just try to bring as least as possible! We just brought towels and sunscreen. You are allowed to bring your own food/cooler which could save you some money too.

My family just loved the variety of rides here and the lazy river has strong currents and cooler entrances than most other parks. The looped wave pool is outrageously fun (waves are huge) though recommended for experienced swimmers only! There is an adequate amount of water areas/slides for kids who are too little to swim. Some lines were long but went pretty fast.

The park is large so expect a lot of walking. You can easily spend a whole day here and everyone will be wiped out at the end. Stay hydrated and lotioned up. Tons of fun!

We love this park! My family went every summer growing up, and my husband and I are starting with our kids! Lines are long but for most rides it's totally worth it! Staff always seems helpful. And you can bring your own food which is great and saves a ton of money!

Be ready to wait in line for a season pass. Even if you purchase on line, you still need to wait in a long line. The bldg you get your pass in is not even in the same area as admission so you have to wait in line here (Only 2 workers) than go and find parking again for park entrance. Wish someone would have told us about the wait before the wait...ugh

This review is in regard to the Blast Pass:

This review is in regard to the Blast Pass:

I take my daughters to Schlitterbahn every summer for one day. The experience this year was just awful. It was completely ruined by the Blast Pass. Let me explain why.

The Blast Pass is special pass that can be purchased for $20-$70 that allows holders to enter the line near the service point of the line (where you actually get into the water or onto the slide). The concept is similar to the Fast Pass at Disney parks, but differs in some very important ways:

1) Only people willing to roughly double their ticket cost have access to the system (unlike Fast Pass at Disney).
2) Pass holders have absolute priority over any other guests waiting in line. They call the point where the two lines combine the "merge" point, but there is no merge about it when only pass holders are placed in the final line.
3) The service times of Schlitterbahn's water rides are low (slow) compared to high volume rides like rollercoasters. I'll explain why this is important in a minute.

Waiting for rides at Schlitterbahn is tough. It's Texas. It's HOT! Everyone is in the same situation though, so people tend to be polite and patient. Well, that's how it used to be. At our last visit, the line for Hillside was short at the end of the day (typical). The line was progressing reasonably, then Blast Pass happened. Blast Pass holders trying to get their last ride of the day too began queueing up. We had about 15 people in front of us before joining the final line (which is about 15 people long). We waited for 45 minutes just to get to the next line with zero movement. People got angry. They began yelling and swearing at the poor teenage kid guarding the gate. People had lost patience because the steady progression came to a complete stop.

Fast Pass at Disney works because everyone has access to it. The Fast Pass users and the general line are blended at the combining point. A person waiting in the general line is not annoyed by people in the fast pass line, because the person in the general line typically has their own fast pass that they intend to use later on another ride.

As I stated early, service time at Schlitterbahn are slow. Rides like the master blaster only seat two people at a time, and each pair of riders has to nearly exit the ride before the next pair can begin. Since the service times are Schlitterbahn are slow (for safety reasons which I totally understand), adding even a few people ever minute to the front of the line causes enormous delays for every else. Some people have claimed that the times have doubled.

I really think Schlitterbahn messed up on this one.

Thank you for mailing me back my sunglasses!! You guys are awesome.

Protip - if you lose your sunglasses while at the park, fill out a form with lost and found and if they find them they ll mail them to you.

Thanks, Schlitterbahn!!

My family and I went during our weekend trip. My son had so much fun playing and wants to come back next year. Food is expensive, so if you are on a budget, we recommend you bring a cooler with food and drinks. They do not allow alcohol and glass in the premises. The staff was very friendly!
