A lot of fun, and cheaper than Sea World... it's hard to do everything in one day.
But sidewalks get extremely hot in summer... your feet will blister.

SW is a go to anytime I visit this area. There is plenty to do for all ages, but if you're a thrill seeker and your goal is to ride all the popular rides I highly suggest you purchase the Blast Pass. The price for you ticket increases, but you spend more time in the water rather than standing in-line and also have time to eat.
Need a Blast pass to ride every single ride on a busy day.
Still love all the old rides plus lots of new ones. The lines are too long though. No way to really experience it all in one day.
Very unorganized and bad planning. Love the one in Galveston, will not go back to this one
I LOVE this place! Master Blaster is the best water ride ever, just go early to avoid the crazy long line!
Been going every July since 1985 and get there two hours before they open to get are favorite picnic spot. And time feels like it goes to fast!! And every year I'm already looking forward to next July. . Food and tickets can be a little high for some. But with free parking and get to bring in own food and drinks. . It makes up for it.. Hands Down BEST WATER PARK EVER !!!!!! Love Schlitterbahn
Only problem I had was not enough time for more fun.
I Love this water park! I've been to the one in Galveston many times! and i prefer this one over anything else! Love it here
SO much fun! As awesome as I remember it was when I was a kid. The "old"park is my favorite because it's beautifully landscaped and very shady, and all the water attractions are just how I remember they were. Lots of lifeguards around. However I did get trapped in a vortex for a few minutes once, turning in big circles helplessly while dozens of people slid by on the current right past me. It was not scary at all...just aggravating that I got stuck while the rest of my party was carried on ahead. The "new" park is like any modern waterpark: large, flat, with acres of reflective concrete. It's not as nice (lush and shady) as the "old" park. But, on the plus side, on this side of the park all the kinks seem to have been worked out regarding water vortices because pretty much there weren't any.
Just wasn't impressed with the "best water park in the world." It's not bad, it's just not that good. Lower your standards a bit and you'll have a good time.
Water too cold, lines too long I don't think I would go again
Best water park in the USA. Knuff said . Mic drop. ETC ETC
Great fun but expensive 12 bucks for a small locker rental geez
They have stopped me from doing my reservations even though I bought season passes the person that talked to me on the phone said they are not doing refunds even though I m not allowed to go without reservation. I feel like I got robbed by a big corporation that doesn t allow me to access their website I tried getting help from her but she just flat out said their nothing she can do to help me. Y all really need to get more staff that is actually helpful not just thinking about theirselves. And the lady on the phone was rude I hope she understands that she was a horrible customer representative and she needs training. Thanks for letting me and my family down. Shame on slitterbahn
Great Escape from the everyday routine. Low key! Its awesome.
Old and crappy. Very expensive and overrated. Save your money.
I dunno what's been going on with this place lately, but it has NOT been very enjoyable. I always come on a weekday & each time I have some sort of issue. I purchased the super blast passes and they malfunction to where I have to return a few times. I kindly asked for a refund or partial return and they were like hell no. I laughed and thought, damn! Come another time and no issues with blast pass like other time, but have a ton of issues with being ignored by food staff and it being a lite day. Today is Saturday and I have to leave. People fighting everywhere. Lines are over 2hrs long with blast pass. It's insane. I see many families leaving. I just learned to never come on the weekend.
Excellent place to spend a good day of rest. You can take food and sodas lots of trees and shadows
I don't go to water parks very often, so this was pretty fun. I really liked the lazy rivers and slides.
What an excellent experience! My sister travelled from out of state and reserved a room at The Resort.
We were able to check in, enjoy the park until it closed then float the river right to our room!
Our room was generous sized, clean and well stocked with dishes but the best part was that its patio opened right onto the Comal. JUST BEAUTIFUL!
We traveled with two 3 year olds and an 8 year old and we were easily able to keep them entertained without having to split up. Ride waits weren't too bad either, especially at open and close. (1.5 hrs for Master Blaster was the longest, most were under 10 minutes)
The concession prices were very reasonable and quite tasty. Try the blue cheese, buffalo, ranch waffle fries.
This water park is unbeatable in Texas and maybe the country. You have options to bring your own food and drink, along with the best rides around. Lazy river gets you to different parts of the park and the wave pool is always fun. Summer escape.
Love this place, you can bring your own food and drinks, free parking, free tubes, staff is very nice. Not over corporated like Six Flag parks where they nickel and dime you for everything
wasn t aware that only one side of the park is open, original side is entirely closed but the open side doesn t have all the rides open either yet charge you full price and only open 11-6. Not worth the money this year unfortunately.
We had a blast. Absolutely loved the lazy rivers, they were great, love the fact that you can bring your own coolers. Great family fun.
Best water park i have been too in a long time. Sefinitely worth going to. Will be back again.
It was very big and fun. They also provide a free short bus ride to and from the second park
Awesome waterpark. Food and snacks could use improving. A definite must do if you have the time, while you are in the area.
Love this place. Must go early to catch some of the big and famous rides before it turns into a huge 1 wait minimum.
They don't cater to the handicap, no feminine pads or tampons sold there (No elevators). Yet the rides were thrilling and loads of fun. There are rides I didn't have enough time for. Make sure you have excellent cardiovascular, lung and leg health to make it to some of the best rides in the park. One day is not enough to cover the entire place, because there are 3 locations to visit in total.
This place is so much fun. The original Schlitterbahn park offers a unique experience that you will not find anywhere else. It has become such a popular place; be prepared to wait in long lines. I've never stayed in one of their rooms overnight, but from what I hear, you're better off staying in a hotel outside of the park. Some people might complain about the cost to get into the park, but if you factor in the free parking and the fact that you can bring in your own food, it's much cheaper than going to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. If it's your first time going to the New Braunfels location, don't forget to catch the free tram ride to the other park.
Awesome place, gotta do the tube shoot in the river!
From the time we got there what a mess. Front desk check-in very unprepared and very confused staff. Do not go if you don't have your on transportation. Check-in on one side of park and cabin on other. No way to get there no trolly running. If trolly was running we still would have had to lug our luggage for one end to the other to get to cabin. Confused staff threw out park. They call themselves a resort but definition does not fit. It is just a water park not resort. No food other then your average park food. Walked a mile to get food. Cabin way over priced for what you get in return. I will never come back or recommend to anyone i know. So disappointed considering we where so excited to come what a let down. Should have gone to Disney like we planned.

Always a fun experience. The staff are helpful, cheerful and pleasant. Love that parking is free and coolers for food & drink are accepted (NO GLASS!). Lots of fun!
Schlitterbahn is a really fun idea to go to. But, once we went there, it was pretty bad. The day we went had only 4 slides open. Every single slide has a line that has hours of waiting. The only things with no lines are the lazy and torrent rivers. Especially on this busy day, they had the long lazy river closed. The overall trip was not worth it, and slides aren't worth the waits, I would prefer the Galveston one.
Have kids below the age of ten and you will love this place. I'd suggest you take a blast pass as I've made the mistake of not doing so and waiting 30-40 minutes for each ride. Although the rides weren't the most fulfilling, the wave pools were fun and the people were great. Hell if I was 9 years old I'd give it 5 stars. I also suggest taking the 2 day deal, as the days don't have to be consecutive. Cheers
awesome..this is our second time and we enjoyed alot. unfortunately some one stole my daughter's bath rob and shoes. but last time when we lost our specs n sun glasses they found it and shipped those to us with no cost. great place n great management.
The rides are not for handicap people, there is a lot of stairs. This is my first visit and my 9 year old flipped on one of the rapids, the area that she went over had 3 guards, I was right next to her when she went over but there was a lifeguard already right on top of us pulling her out, and she stayed right next to us till first aid came to check her out. That alone makes this place a 5 star in my book. I have been to six flags and sea world and their response is not nearly as fast.
We bought season passes this year and we LOVE it! It's clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful. There is so much to do, we go every week and haven't gotten tired of it yet.
Great park we had a great time. you will find deers just walking and laying around.!!
We stayed on site which was very convenient. Lots of trees and lots of slides. Way too many people, but I dont know how that could change
My family and I love going here every year! Come early to find the best parking.
Employees seemed annoyed to be there and not very interested when answering questions we had. This was our first visit to this location and it was also the last. Instead of driving 5 hours for bad service we'll drive 1 hour to the SPI location b
It is fun and Lovey just that I keep getting scraped and getting scars I really really love this place because I don t get to go every year so that why I m giving it 5 stars.
Terrible terrible experience. We bought passes at HEB to get in and once we arrived they said they weren't valid and that we were trying to run a scam. We had to double pay or go back to hotel to get receipt. They got security and the police threatening to kick my whole family out because we got upset. $200 kater and three rides in four hours...absolutely terrible. They ruined a family favorite and we will never come back.
We have been multiple times, it's always a good time.
Best water park that I have ever been too. If you cam stay on property it is so worth it.
Schlitterbahn is always a BLAST !!! LOTS AND LOTS OF GR8 FUN . WISH the lines weren't so long but then again it's what's to be excited.
Plenty of things to do for the entire family! I came here for 2 days and didn't run out of things to do!
Best Water park Ever! We have gone every year since we have been close to a Schlitterbahn. Great selections of slides and tube rides. This water park does not have your typical water slides, though it still does, But you ride in tubes on most of the rides, like lazy rivers with fun rappids and little "waterfalls". It's defenantly my favorite place to be.
Best water park I've ever been to but the summer months are extremely busy so I would not recommend waiting in lines because that's all you'll be doing the whole time and that seems like a waste of a ticket.
