Architecturally valuable construction. Must see, if you really want to get to know Dresden and its history.
Great event on the Theaterplatz, against the corona measures of the federal government
Impressive building. Night tour was very nice, though only in German. Ended near midnight.
Very nice interior, as you would expect from a classical opera building.
In reality even more impressive than on photos / TV. Inside and outside!
traditional beautiful opera house. thank you for the wonderful evening
Great actions against Pegida. A sign that this city is not so bad as you think :)
Due to Corona, every second row is not occupied and there are always 2 spaces available for the next guests. The opera itself is reduced to 90 minutes and without a break. We liked that very much. Everyone there is very friendly
Participated in a great tour that was really very interesting. Booking online worked well, group size was pleasant.
We went to two operas on our last visit. Definitely an experience.
Who does not know it from the Radeberger advertisement. Historic building, very good German-speaking tours. Conditionally suitable for wheelchair users, please inquire first. Toilets very clean.
There are currently restorations in the building.
The beautiful building of the opera house, known as Opera Zempera. This is the surname of the architect who built this theater in 1841. In February 1945 the building was destroyed by bombing. The reconstruction was started in 1977 and completed in 1975.
Outstanding opera performances. Great construction, inside and outside. A great experience. Always recommendable.
Awesome place of global citizens inspiring minds to rethink and see the world in a different way:)
We were looking forward to the tour of the Semperoper. Unfortunately, the joy was clouded because the leader spoke far too quietly and the tour was poorly organized. Multiple groups were run at the same time so there was overlap
came in the process and we had to switch from one balcony to another for no reason. The Semperoper itself is a gem and inspires with its wonderful atmosphere.
On January 11th, 2020 we looked at the "bat" by Johann Strauss. It was a nice experience for us. We really liked the orchestra and the singers. The staging, the costumes and the stage sets were not to our taste. You just have to live with it.
Wolfgang Stumpf, as the "Frosch" prison guard, was really great. We had a good time. The visit was worth it.
Goods for ballet performance Romeo and Juliet. And the event is very impressive you have to say. However, I recommend that you know the story because you are not really behind otherwise.
Otherwise, it can be said that the building is very impressive. Unfortunately, you can not see everything from the 4th rank. The extreme rear part is only half visible, even though we sat in the front row. I can imagine that you will not see this area from the 2nd row anymore ...
Otherwise it is nice to see that most of the guests adhere to the dress code!
The wait at the bar on rank 3 is also quite long, here you should possibly set up an additional service.
Here I have looked at Swan Lake. It was fantastically beautiful the Semperoper is worth seeing.
We looked at Carmen. Great staging - from the music to the dancers to the stage design! Great!
Beautiful architecture and history. The opera house was completely destroyed during the Second World War and was rebuilt. It has a guided tour in English. I highly recommend it.
There was an event being almost the end of the year that was broadcast on the screens outside. Very nice, people carry their drinks and even their chairs
Great architecture, great. Interior design, great sound.
It is really beautiful and a must to visit in Dresden
Was a great chamber concert in the most beautiful house in Germany the Semperoper Dresden.
Attention! Dress code required ...
"Backpackers" undesirable!
The architecture is great. The battery style is awesome. The artists do their best. What more do you want.
The opera house itself is very worth seeing. The guide was informative but with 10 clearly too expensive. For photographing an additional 3 to request I perceive as insolence. Therefore a total of two points deduction.
Insanely great scenery and a magical place !! The ballet was excellent !!!
There is not much to say, just the symbol of Dresden par excellence. Leadership is a must!
Interesting place, I can only recommend the visit to an event worth it.
Every time I was thinking about Radeberger advertising, I thought: That's what I want to see in real life
The opera is an exciting building and the tour was very informative. The New Year's Eve concert was also overwhelming: great orchestra and fascinating soloists. A fantastic end to the year.
The opera house is terrific. The listed opera was really bad. Don Giovanni with a smartphone does not work. Surely you could have staged this wonderful opera even worse, I just can not think of how .....
The preservation of this building is simply a gift for the people. It was a very beautiful evening.
What I still do not like are the modern stagings and stage designs. Actually, one wishes to dive into a world that has nothing to do with the present time. Everything is spartan on stage and if you do not know the opera or have dealt with it in advance, you wonder what's going on there.
The singers were terrific.
We saw the opera "Hansel and Gretel" in the Semper Opera. It was beautiful and a unique treat.
A great place where architecture provides a wonderful stage for music!
The Semperoper in Dresden was built from 1871 to 1878 after the first building was completely destroyed by fire in 1869. This second building suffered severe damage on February 13, 1945 as a result of the air raids in World War II. After the Second World War, the Semperoper was rebuilt between 1977 and 1985. The Semperoper has a very splendid interior. Around 300 events take place in the Semperoper every year. A visit to the Semper Opera House is an absolute must for anyone interested in culture and music when visiting Dresden.
Just beautiful . That must have just been seen by man.
Super imposing building, breathtakingly beautiful . Inside as well as outside. World class.
Have then seen the "Rosenkavalier" and were thoroughly enthusiastic. A visit to the Semperoper is always worthwhile and recommended.
The tour was interesting and the hall itself was very nice. However, much is logically no longer original and the restoration looks "cheap" ...
Beautiful! Great acoustics, regardless of the program already worth a visit!
Just wonderful, the opera performance of Hoffmann's stories was very successful and the main actors had very, very great voices. Thank you for this evening.
Last week I did sightseeing in Dresden and was extremely excited about the famous Semper Opera House. Well what can I say !? The opera is a disaster! Not only does it not even come close to the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, worse, it looks totally run down and cheap! For me, the Semperoper is just a tourist trap and therefore not recommended, no matter how cool it looks in the beer advertising on TV!
Beautiful and the old one, an opera looking for their peers. Can only recommend a guide
