We were looking forward to the tour of the Semperoper. Unfortunately, the joy was clouded because the leader spoke far too quietly and the tour was poorly organized. Multiple groups were run at the same time so there was overlap
came in the process and we had to switch from one balcony to another for no reason. The Semperoper itself is a gem and inspires with its wonderful atmosphere.
On January 11th, 2020 we looked at the "bat" by Johann Strauss. It was a nice experience for us. We really liked the orchestra and the singers. The staging, the costumes and the stage sets were not to our taste. You just have to live with it.
Wolfgang Stumpf, as the "Frosch" prison guard, was really great. We had a good time. The visit was worth it.
