What a wonderful place with beautiful scenery! I didn t stay here but I was invited by family that did and I m so glad they did!! The beachside access was excellent (and everyone was pretty well socially distanced). The upper pool area was well kept and fun to lounge in. The deck-staurant had great drinks and great food too!
The amenities here are very nice. They have everything that you need at the resort, although it will cost you.
The beachfront is beautiful and the kids loved it. It can get crowded during peak season, so head out early if you areceived spending your day there

My husband and I were guest at the Hilton for a weekend conference. Rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. We had a great visit.
Best vacation ever! Excellent service from the moment we got there. The room was exactly as described and my kids loved the bunk beds. Housekeeping was fantastic our room was always cleaned by noon. The guys at the bell service (Robert, Hector and Mr. Tony) were the best we've EVER experienced. Plentyy to do onsite and offsite. I cannot say enough great things about this place. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND for families with children!
I want to start this off by saying that I travel for work all the time and have the ability to book any hotel I want to when I travel.
my parents wanted to pay for my wife and I to come to a marriage conference here at this hotel. When I booked the hotel I was told that payment could be properly allocated when we got to the hotel and actually went to pay for our room. I was also told they would be able to use their Hilton's honors number because they were in fact the ones purchasing the room.
when I got to the hotel and try to set that up I was told there was quite literally no way that my parents would be allowed to pay for our room. there's no way they could associate payment with a card that wasn't present even though I had the card number, security code, and expiration date. Furthermore more I was told that I could not use my parents honors number as that would be out of policy.
When I spoke to the manager and explain how not making it possible for someone to gift a room at their hotel to another person is an example of a policy that stands directly in contradiction to customer service he actually accuse me of trying to manipulate their point system. to my comments about it being bad customer service he looked me straight in the eye and said that he disagrees with me.
All this to say this conference is fantastic but there is still a very good reason that I exclusively stay at Marriott Hotels.
We stay at this resort each June for a few days. It s is our very favorite vacation of the year! The rooms are spotless and the pool and other amenities are fabulous!! I wish I could get that yellow striped towel service at home! Ha! Kade at the tiki hut is friendly and fun. Everything about the San Destin Hilton is more than you could ever ask for! It s the place where precious memories are made! Their response to Covid this year is spot on and makes guests feel safe and taken care of!! Can t wait until next year!

We've been coming here for our convention for the last 10 years at least. Staff is always excellent and helpful. The pool restaurant greatly improved after the remodel. Excellent beach and excellent location.
Enjoyed my 44th birthday with my honey. We really enjoy the resort.
The hotel was amazing. The staff were incredible. We had an amazing beach view from our room. I can't wait to come back again.
We're halfway through a one week stay here and we will not be returning. We're in a non smoking room, but can't sit out our balcony because of the inconsiderate people smoking cigarettes and marijuana somewhere below us. We paid extra for a beach view and can't even enjoy it. We had to leave the beach just now because of all the old, out of shape guys chain smoking their cigars on the beach. We asked one of the beach attendants if that was allowed and he said there was nothing they could say to them. Then, on our way back into the hotel, we got to walk through a family of chain smokers in front of the door from the pool leading to the elevators. Bottom line, if you don't like cigar, cigarette, or marijuana smoke, this isn't the place for you. We stayed here years ago and it was great, not sure what happened.
Edit: the employees (wait staff, cleaning people, etc...) are very friendly and great Management needs to be go.
Response to the response from "owner." Apparently you didn't read my review closely enough. I did speak to your employees about the morbidly obese cigar smokers on the beach and was told they couldn't say anything to them. Correct me if I'm wrong , but under Florida law, you own the beach and can set whatever smoking rules you want. So like I said, management here sucks. Your guests and your employees deserve better.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of other places to stay on the beach that won t charge you for unauthorized items. Matt, the front desk supervisor is useless. I ve been trying for weeks now to get in touch with Gary the GM and he will not call me back. Save yourself the headache and stay at the surrounding hotels.
Update: I was not confused, it was what your employee communicated to me. She removed it from my bill and you all added it back days after I left your hotel. Bad business practices!
Just one word: Perfect! I spent with my husband the best thanksgiving holidays ever! All this thanks to the positive energy of staff in all departments in particular for the service of the front desk manager, the concierge always ready to help and anticipating all you needs.
We booked in particular the wellness package for a relaxing stay and the spa manager was very helpful and always available but as well once inside the spa in the water area the assistants are always happy and smiling with a positive energy.
The food was delicious in particular the sushi bar and the waffles from the main restaurant in the morning!
The room had an amazing view to the sea with a little terrace. We could not ask for a better holiday. So a big thank you again to all the staff that let us feel at home...even better
Stayed here with my family which included 3 kids aged toddler to tween. Simply put, for almost $600/night, this felt like a $200/night resort. Everything on property was open to the public and wasn t private. If you enjoy a smaller, relaxed, and pampered vacation this isn t your place.

-Room size (stayed in a beachfront Deluxe Junior Suite)
-Bunk beds were cool for the kids
-Shower was average
-Kids pool was a nice touch (exception to the tenants staying in the room next to it kept smoking on their balcony)
-Gift shop had good prices and selections
-Ice cream shop was a cool novelty by the pools
-Service was either great (Yvonne in the gift shop) and a few of the folks who brought us room service others were just ok or acted too good to be helping us.

-WiFi stinks, don t even log in
-Public access to pools and beaches
-Pool water is gross. Empty cups, straws, lids, and other trash were constantly in them
-Chairs by the pools are taken hours before people are there. I was down there at 8am and every chair by the big pool was taken yet only 8 people were by or in the pool
-you have to pay for a spot on the beach I ve never had to do this at any other resort we ve stayed at on the Gulf
-For a hotel that says it was updated in 2014, it felt like 2004. Popcorn ceilings mask much of the water damage in the ceilings
-Beds are hard
-Food - was average at best, lettuce on every sandwich/meal was brown
-For the coffee nerds, their literature says they have a full service Starbucks, they don t. Minimal menu and selection
Beautiful hotel. Loved the heated pools, indoor and out. It was truly awesome to sit in the outdoor hot tub in 30 degree weather.
I went there for my banquet, and I loved the lunch they prepared for us. The only thing I didn't like was the dessert, everything else was great. I'll return for my vacay

This Hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The scenery was just breath taking, it was so serene and made you feel so special. The room we stayed in was beautiful and extremely spacious. It felt like an apartment within a room. The furnishing and television was very nice. - it was also very clean. And the balcony allowed me to see the Ocean. You can take a romantic stroll around the beautiful landscaped golf trail. I plan on going back just as often as I can. The kindness of the staff was so refreshing. I highly recommend.
Dealt with an unruled security guard that was very rude while I was strolling my baby back to the car. Kept asking questions, like that I was trespassing. Kept me out in the Florida heat while he could clearly see that I was trying to get my baby to a cooler place.

The facility doesn't live up to Hilton standards. The rooms aren't very clean , seevice at front desk is very poor and common areas need updating . We had a large group and everyone was disappointed , specially with the service at the front desk.
First time at at this Hilton location. The room as clean and the view of the ocean from our room was spectacular. We enjoyed fresh food and cold beverages at the outside bar area so to enjoy the ocean view even more. There were 2 pools, hot tubs, cabanas for rent, staff to set up chairs on the beach (for a fee), there was ice cream/food on-the-go, a cafe, gift store, and spa. My husband was attending a conference and said there was a variety of food and drinks provided for breakfast and breaks. There were plenty of staff busy refilling and available if needed. We both agreed that we d like to return for vacation and stay longer next time.
Bar, coffee shop, and restaurant on-site were excellent. Large pool and spa. Fitness center open 24 hours. Rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The breakfast buffet is basic food service mixes, pastries and with a bountiful supply of undercooked sausages and bacon. The value isn t there and once food poisoning is factored in, it adds nsult to injury.
The pools are overcrowded with too few staff to wait on guests and manage the precious few lounge chairs. Despite a handful of signs posted reminding, Pool chairs are not reserved unattended personal items & towels left for more than one hour will be turned into lost and found, the staff is unable to tell you how long each chair has been held.
The property is beautiful but a visit to The Grand Hotel at Point Clear, AL is more relaxing and a better value for a similar price.
Little getaway. With the Husband just what we needed.
The tower's have old room, dirty smelling carpet. Great maintenance service the air went out and they fixed it right away. I guess it come with old buildings.
The beach was very crowded and dirty and you can not walk to the beach.
Excellent beach. Pool has lots of chaise lounges. Met two very nice staff that went out of their way to help me. Its July and the temperatures have been awesome.
The grounds were beautiful, the ballroom was fantastic.
Great rooms and even greater beaches. The water is crystal clear, with loads of wildlife, and super clean.
Need to be proactive in keeping the kids out of the hot tub. Innertubes and all.

Average Coastal Florida family-oriented Resort. It is larger than most with several choices of accommodation and restaurants.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay. It started with being able to check in early our first day. Our room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom spotless:). There are a number of out door and indoor pools. Restaurants out on the main deck. Food there was also tasty. Great ocean frontage. Seems to be an excellent place for families and couples. Thank you, there is a Starbucks in the building! We will look forward to returning here.

Absolutely amazing. My family usually rents a condo when we come to the beach. This was my first experience at a resort. I highly recommend it. Amenities/food are a tad expensive but are high quality.
My husband and our 3 boys are staying here and loving every minute! The staff is extremely helpful and informative. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The gorgeous emerald beaches are just a few short steps away. We will definitely be back!
A great 4 day family trip with our 19 month old in tow! Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. The pool area was a highlight, and we really enjoyed the bar/restaurant poolside! We will definitely return to the resort!
Great location right on the beach. Beautiful room. Family friendly. Would've given a 5 but parking was...not so good. And they (hotel) should provide carts for loading and unloading luggage instead of a service you have to tip. In addition to the $25 a day resort fee.
Honestly, all I care about in a hotel is whether or not there are enough clean towels but my wife is a little more picky than me .. but she was happy with this hotel so I m giving it 5 stars!!

My brother stayed here and I was his guest for the day and this Raceist and rude security person named Milton was very verbal and kicked me out without explaining why. All he said i didn't belong their and to go away. And while other people were going in the beach definitely did not belong their. But because i was hispanic i was treated like i was doing something illegal. HILTON YOU NEED TO FIRE HIM.

This was our third summer to stay at the Hilton Sandestin. Absolutely love this hotel. Zero problems checking in (a couple hours past check in time, so it was quick) and staff was great. The views are amazing. We look forward to it every year. The breakfast buffet is pretty pricey, so we usually only go there one time, but the food is amazing. Fresh made waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon, grits, hash browns, cereal, muffins, and more. The fresh fruit is always so good. Free shuttle to Baytowne Warft, which is an awesome place to go. Restaurants, shops, an awesome little arcade, ice cream, music, and lots of things for kids to do. We have a great time here every summer and the beach is great. Every single staff member we had was superb, housekeeping, room service, front desk, etc..If anything is broken in your room, just call front desk and they will get it fixed, no problem. They have several food options, and a cute little place by the pool called Picnik, with Pizza Hut mini pizzas, Mac and cheese, chicken tenders, pretzels, hot dogs, etc... and really generous scoops of Edy's ice cream! Beds are super comfy. My only complaint is that Picnik closes too early most days, and people would love to get late night ice cream after dinner. If you order from the Barefoot bar, the potato salad is amazing. The 4th of July fireworks were the best we have ever seen! Highly recommend this hotel!

Rooms are very over priced! Rooms need to be updated. They are exploiting the COVID issue. They have two pools and they are BOTH kids pools, so no place for adults to use the pool with a million kids. Place is ok, but not for the cost!
My husband and I visited Destin in celebration of our 14th year wedding anniversary. We had the absolute privilege of staying with Hilton Sandestin Resort and we had an amazing stay. Every staff member we saw or happen to run into greeted us. The staff was not only courteous but extremely helpful with requests, directions, recommendations of restaurants and activities. The rooms are modern, nicely decorated and clean. More than anything my husband and I enjoyed the view of the beach and all the resort had to offer. We were also sent champagne and amenities as congratulations on our Anniversary. We highly recommend this resort for couples!
Great hotel. Staff first class all the way. It's a nice getaway for a couple days. We had a room with a beach view. It was really relaxing
It was old and grimy and most importantly dirty. There were bugs in our room and sand all in the carpet. You could hear it crunching every time you walked. It s obvious they didn t clean before we got there. Hair on the carpet. Stains on the headboard, stains and HAIR on my pillow and BUGS in the lamp fixtures. They also didn t even care to help with the situation, I wanted a full refund for the poor room conditions but they refused. Not to resort standards. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off and it was just not kept up like you d expect from a resort. Really disappointing stay.
My wife and I stopped in to check it out and try their breakfast...not disappointed...beautiful place...great staff...great food...we will plan a stay soon

The resort is nice and very clean. But apparently hotel policy doesn t allow you to set up canopies and umbrellas because they spread Covid.

First time I ve been to a Hilton in a long time. Maybe it ll be another 10+ years before we go back to one. Marriott for the win.
Got a hotel room for a weekend getaway and was extremely disappointed. First, we were placed at the farthest hotel from the main check in hotel and then spent an hour trying to find where our parking garage was. No clear signage and had to ask for directions 3 or 4 times while no one seemed to have the answer. No lobby or concierge at our hotel (bahia) and we had to literally park in the garage and walk through what looked like the back service door to access the elevator. Had no idea where our pool was that we had access to until the last day. Lots of construction going on and the whole place seemed to be confused. I would not recommend, at least until the construction is completed.
Here now and for the second day in a row I have gotten a 430am wake up call that I didn't want! Was told yesterday that it wouldn't happen again. If you stay make sure you are not in room 152 of the spa tower. Beds are cheap and hard as plywood, pillows are even worse. Dont waste your money! #sandestinhilton
