Sandestin Beach Hilton Review

My wife is trying to check in and she has a credit card with my name on it. Despite showing them me on facetime and showing our names on a checking - front desk will not accept looking at my license. Do you believe it's me now? My wife just travelled by herself for house with our twins including a special needs child.

Its big and pretty great place for a huge party but the carved prim rib was tough and cold. Desserts were great.

This is an Oceanfront condo!!! That's enough to convince you!!

Perfect for family and singles alike. It was so much fun. Highly recommend for vacation destination

I loved it, very very friendly service, so relaxing, not kidding about this review at all, I can't wait to go back and I highly reccomend it for couples to.

Stayed for 3 nights for Mary Kay Retreat. The location was amazing, the staff was exceptional and customer service was superb. Wonderful resort. Would definitely come back & stay.

This beach has lifeguards. Clean sand and there waves were about 2 feet swells. Somewhat crowded with family and kids. Great time with plenty of fun. Very nice facilities and a foot wash plus bath house.

Very Wonderful not really expensive with a group of 4. 3 bedroom Villa sleeps 10 was $350 for 5days and 4 nights. Full service!

First time here and it was wonderful!! The room was very nice and clean, the staff was extremely kind and caring and the overall resort was just awesome. My daughter and I were there with the AAHA conference while she received a scholarship from the wonderful organization but the hotel and amenities made the whole experience just icing on the cake. We will be back, as a matter of fact, I will be getting with my other adult children in making this a fun family getaway destination!! Thank you!!

Attended a military sponsored event, staff was great, hotel was excellent rooms spacious and comfortable.

Beautiful resort, terrible customer service. My family and I visited there in April for spring break, but will never again. We found Erica and Jonathan to be most rude from the very beginning. We were talked to and treated as though our presence was an imposition. I think it's time for lessons in basic customer service. I see that many, many people have complained about Erica, yet she remains there with the same poor attitude. Terrible! Dollie was helpful and pleasant. So much thanks to her!

When I first got to the hotel my room was canceled. I had just spoke with someone at 7:28 that morning and ask the front desk girl can I changed my credit card when I got there she told me yes I then ask for a e check in she told me it would be $50 so I declined the offer and told her I will just arrive at 4pm for regular check in. When I get there Matt at from desk told me my room was canceled. I traveled way from Tallahassee to Destin and boyfriend and I had no where to go and our room got canceled. I end up speaking with management and he end up giving me a room for the same rate but it wasn t the beach view I book.. I then got some food and called to front desk for spoons they told me it will be a hour and a half wait. My food would be cold waiting a hour and half for spoons This property need better management !!!!!!

Arrived to the welcome center and was greeted by two friendly receptionists, was given key cards and the information needed for the grounds. The room was clean upon arrival, was wanting a room with a full ocean view but go a partial view, all in all it was a nice room great ac the tub drained slowly but i think thats the only problem i had.

The hotel is located on a beautiful white sandy beach. However, something is outdated. With the price you could expect a little more comfort. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool. Everything is not new anymore. Parking was enough. All corridors and rooms were carpeted. For a short stay the hotel is well suited.

Perfect place to vacation with family and stay outdoors most of the time! Beautiful beach, delicious food, impressive COVID-19 prep and service, nice rooms.

Being able to walk from my room to the deck and straight onto the sand within 20 feet. We will definitely be visiting this location again.

Everything here was beautiful. Our view was perfect, the beach and pools were clean and well kept. Service was all around wonderful.

We started in a condo for 3 days, and loved it. This is the way to stay at the beach. The room was wonderful, with a full kitchen, a separate living room, and even a washer and dryer in the room. We were able to wash the sea and sand out of our clothes as often as necessary.

Love this resort. My second time here. My first time in a suite and it is very nice. Resort staff is very friendly and won't hesitate to answer any questions. There was a light bulb that went out and staff quickly replaced all the bulbs in that fixture. Very very very happy and love the amenities!

Pam and I had a great time staying here. If you stay stay at one of the condos make sure you are staying on the second floor! They do have quite hours however, not everyone follows them.

Great vacation destination. The complex was kept up really well, the rooms were nice. Seagars was a great restaurant but high priced for what you order. Nice clean beach

Beautiful resort with beach access, restaurants, shopping, and activities near by. Free shuttle to Baytowne Marina.

This is a beautiful hotel and MOST of the staff was very friendly but there was a couple circumstances that seriously lowered the 5 star rating I would have given them. I was there during Hurricane Irma and the first incident was when I attempted to extend our stay since our home was in an evacuation zone and we couldn't get home. The lady at the counter attempted to price gouge us. Disgusted we ended up getting a room in another hotel for our last day.
The second was when I witnessed an employee giving a woman with her pet a hard time. The lady was holding her small dog and the employee got onto her about not having it on a leash. He got on the radio instead of simply letting her know the dog needed to be on a leash. The dog probably didn't weigh more than 10 lbs and was curled up in its owners arms.

No sympathy for evacuees and there were many fleeing from the Eastern and Western coastal regions.

We are heading here for a family reunion tomorrow. Turns out the hotel booked one of the families rooms for the wrong month (October already passed) and they refuse to honor it and book them the room for the correct days. Instead they want them to pay again. There are plenty of rooms available. It is clear that it was a hotel error. We have also not had our calls returned by hotel management.
**UPDATE** Jill at the front desk called us up and took care of the entire situation! Bow the whole family can come! Thank you Jill so very much! This was the customer service we needed.

Love coming here. Traffic is AWFUL and so are the crowds now. Road work had destroyed traffic last 5 years. I know it's not the fault of Sandestin, but it still ruins the experience

This is a hotel that I love to come to you in Destin. It is a wonderful spa for Diamond members.

Beautiful place! It's nice to have someone do everything for you, that's definitely something I'm not used to. The suites are nice, spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff was sweet and friendly. I would recommend staying here!

We go back year after year and they always exceed our expectations! Awesome family rooms with kid bunks & nook, indoor and outdoor pools, great onsite dining options, & it's beachfront! Clean & pristine resort and beach. Love the nachos at the poolside place.

Very lovely beach. 40 bucks for a beach chair is very pricey as a paying guest

Very nice resort. It is part of the Baytowne Wharf resort area. There are plenty of upscale stores and different restaurants nearby. The beach and pool are both excellent and well kept.

Our stay has been fantastic from the start. After a problem with our original room at a neighboring Hilton property, we were relocated to the Hilton Sandestin. The front desk lady who checked us in was the epitome of professional, made sure we had everything we would need to make our stay as pleasant as was in her power to provide. Room is exactly what we were looking for to make my wife's birthday weekend getaway a memorable and relaxing one. Staff have all be extremely pleasant and helpful, location on the beach is perfect and the beach side amenities from chairs and umbrellas to drink service have been expertly and professionally ran. Highly recommend this property for your stay in this area.

Unbelievable experience! Starts with the staff. EVERYONE we encountered was extremely nice and helpful. Front desk was so accommodating and check in was a breeze. Food from room service was top notch and better than most restaurants I've ever been too. Ribeye, pizza and wings were top choices. We will be returning next year!

Nice hotel with nice accommodations. Everyone was very friendly. Rooms spacious and clean. Multiple pools and restaurants. Great access to the beach. Great views from the rooms. A couple of down sides - random $30 per day "resort fee"in addition to nightly rate. Also, $40/day for 2 chairs and an umbrella on the beach. You would think paying more than $250/night would cover beach chairs at a beach resort.

Great place for a getaway. Rooms with great views of the Gulf of Mexico. Hospitality is awesome and wonderful breakfast buffet!

I have stayed here many times before and it is always a great experience.

By far the best resort I have ever stayed at. A ton to do, and the location is amazing.

Rooms are very nice and spacious. The room I had was marked as partial beach view and I can see the beach from the balcony. The coffee maker works rather nicely and was clean. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows to keep me comfortable and sleep well through the night.

Nice place, the beach was way to crowded for comfort.

Hilton Sandestin is an awesome place to go. Awesome food by the pool, great steak place in house to eat.

The beach was great! But the weather was pretty terrible. As for the hotel itself, it is nice but you can tell its pretty tth old and in need of a renovation.

Great view, nice quiet experience with my family. We stayed there on December 21st and 22nd 2018.

Seems nice, got evacuated from our room at 6 am, no explanation given. Not a great start to our vacation.

Beautiful, well kept, and what you'd expect for the cash. They also worked out a contract for displaced military members during hurricane Michael. You get what you pay for and this is a definitely worth paying for!

This place was top-notch! So accommodating to me and my wife. From what I could see great place to bring a young family. Our room was kept impeccably clean every day while we went down to the beach. Lots of restaurants near by if you choose not to eat at the resort. We'll be back!

Service was outstanding! Wonderful food and drinks! Resort was well kept. Found the rooms to be slightly outdated at the Hilton location though. The third floor view of the ocean and pool was partially blocked by the roof of the lobby from room 326. Definitely not a deal-breaker though. Staff was courteous and the breakfast was amazing!

This place is fantastic I can't find another word to define it. Perfect to spend a relaxed vacation and enjoy the beach and the amenities that the resort offers is excellent

Beautiful beaches and the pool area is very family friendly. The resort is far away enough to avoid heavy traffic and crowding. However still close enough to Destin to visit the local area.
