Looks can be deceiving! Walked in to check in thought we were getting what we paid for high end resort with amenities WRONG paid $700+ for 3 nights for a run down room with lackluster appliances and a tub that didn't drain!!! Attempted to contact management and NO ONE CARED!! Roaches throughout not only my room but in the halls and elevator! It looked like a rundown old cheap motel!!! DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU GET FULL DISCLOSURE! Was also told we got paddle boards, bikes, and other fun equipment but no. It was a lie! When we asked about it once we had already checked in and gotten charged we were told it was EXTRA! Not what we were told on the phone!

This resort has it all. I was here shortly after hurricane Michael for relief efforts and was completely amazed by the resort. Fireworks every Tuesday, amazing selection of food and gift shops. I stayed on the ocean side of the property which was very quiet and clean. Shuttle runs the property frequently and was easy to catch and move around the property. The drivers are super friendly and entertaining. Our group needed to go to the grocery store and for a few bucks they were willing to takes us and wait. Highly recommend this property and plan on going back to enjoy it all.

Had a great trip. Great beach location. Food was good and there were lots of options. The rooms could use updating but you shouldn t be hanging out in them anyway. Pools were also very nice.

Didn't get suitev that was described, my friend has stage 4 cancer and special needs, this was very inconvenient. Calling down to front desk to request something at 9am and not recurving anything until 9pm or the dead of morning is not nice. Other amenities were great and family oriented. Great beach and area.

Room was great. TV had extra features so took some learning. Made a reservation at Seagars steakhouse that is part of the hotel. Proper attire was acquired. Tried to reserve over the phone, no one answered and they would call you back. That never happened. Went in person, and the greater was very snooty. So much so that we didn't eat there.

My husband booked this hotel for my birthday and it was amazing! The room was so nice with the BEST view I've ever had in a hotel! And the spa...amazing! I wish I could remember the name of the lady that did my body wrap because I loved talking with her as much as I loved having my treatment!

We just got back from our stay here. We stayed at The Henderson Resort and The Hilton Sandestin Resort. We preferred The Henderson Resort over The Hilton Sandestin but enjoyed our stay here as well. Excellent beach access directly off of the hotel. The Seagar's Steakhouse at the hotel is absolutely fantastic! The breakfast buffett at the resort was good as well. Overall this is a good resort.

This was a great location for our staff conference... Fabulous resort in every way... Beautiful view from room of inner-coastal waters, convenient to amazing beach on panhandle including free resort transportation. Great large room for main meetings, good rooms for smaller sessions, good food at meals, helpful and friendly resort staff. I hope we have another staff conference at this location! Just wish we had gone to the ocean the first day and not waited to the last!

The mini suites with the bunk beds is a favorite with the kids as they have their own "space" and the views are to die for. The beach is soft white sand and the color of the water is mesmerizing. The hotel also has a heated swimming pool and the restaurants have great food especially the breakfast buffet. The Thanksgiving day buffet is amazing and at 40'dlrs plus it's still the best and of course you don't have to prepare anything.

Went to beach with family and it was extremely crowded with no set access to water through all the umbrellas.
Then went in to lounge to eat, took 10 minutes to be acknowledged, another 10 minutes for waitress to bring 4 of us drinks waters and teas. Ordered after another 20 minutes. I ordered a $40 platter, a blue find tuna plate and a appetizer salad. Waitress brought me the $60 platter, because she didn't pay attention, and I say this because the other couple with us had same issue with her not listening to what we said and bringing wrong things, or nothing at all.
Won't be back to eat there again even though food was actually pretty good.

Our first stay here last year was great! This year...

Our first stay here last year was great! This year has been a disaster! Our first night we awoke to an alarm at 6am and were told to evacuate. We went down 10 flights of stairs and waited outside for 2 hours before we decided to finally go back to our room. No one ever told us it was safe to go back in. No one ever offered anything to compensate for this. We ordered room service 3 times, 2 of these times it took double the time given to arrive. I had to call to see when we were actually going to receive our food. I called today to ask for a late checkout and was told no, and that it would be $75.00 to stay until 2pm, and HALF OF OUR $390 ROOM RATE TO STAY UNTIL 4PM! When I asked why it was ok for us to sit outside for 2 hours and never told when it was safe to return to our rooms, Patrick the manager had no explanation. When I asked why we had to wait and hour and a half for roomservice that was supposed to take 35-45 min, Patrick simply said that wasn't supposed to happen. The only thing Patrick attempted to do was remove a $29 roomservice charge for breakfast ordered for 1 person (when we have 5 staying here) on the day that we had to evacuate because complimentary breakfast was given that day anyway! We were never told this! The rest of our group never even received breakfast. In short I am being charged $75 to stay an extra 2 hours even though we spent 2 hours outside our very first morning here, then we saved $29 on breakfast for 1 when we all could have received $90 worth of complimentary breakfast had we been told anything about it. Absolutely horrible customer service, and zero respect for the customer here, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME STAYING HERE, THEY WILL NOT WASTE THEIR TIME ON YOU!

The general manager Gary Breilmeyer called after I requested to talk to him. Gary informed me that there were people posted to inform guests when it was safe to return to our rooms and that there was complimentary breakfast being offered in the buffet area for the several hundred people staying that night. Gary couldn't believe that we weren't told about any of this even though we were outside with at least 75 other people who were never approached by any staff during the entire ordeal. He offered to waive the $75 fee to late checkout, but was not very nice about this, at all. He did not apologize for any inconvenience, instead he told me repeatedly that no one else reported this problem. When I asked for the corporate number, Gary told me he did not have it, this is a private resort (even though it's a Hilton), I would have to look it up on the Hilton website and that this conversation was over.

In all our tips to Destin, we always encounter the best customer service, until now. This hotel and it's management have absolutely no respect for their guests. We had planned on coming back here for years to come, now, we will not be returning.

Oldest hotel on the beach in Sandestin, since it was built in the 1980's, I believe. Got there in early a.m. to look around since my boating partner was an investor in it long long ago and sold long long ago. Exquisite white sand beach with beach side pool and bar. We grabbed a muffin and coffee inside and enjoyed the view from the bar.

Stayed here on business and I was impressed. Most of the staff was very friendly and accomodating, the room we stayed at was clean and well-furnished and we had a room overlooking the beach which was great to relax on after a long day of working.

My only complaint is that both of our TV's were damaged. The small one next to the bunks looked like it got hit with a golf ball Huge black dead area on the screen) and the other looked like it was gouged by something. Obviously this didn't detract from our stay but the TV's need to be replaced in the room we stayed at.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton in Sandestin...

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton in Sandestin July 18th through the 21st. We checked in at around 4 in the afternoon. Had to wait 30 minutes in a long line of others checking in. Only 3 employees were at the front desk. Once I was at the front desk I was told that our full beach view was being downgraded to a partial beach view due to an issue on the floor we were supposed to stay on. They tried to fix it with a free dinner and one day of reserved chairs on the beach. I told the lady I rather have a discount as we had paid a good amount of money for a full beach view. I was able to get a $40 discount on 2 nights and the entire resort fee waived. My check in process alone took about 20 minutes. When we first checked in we were not given our property pass so I had to go to the front desk again for this on our second day there or we would have been stopped and questioned every time we left and came back to the property. Had to wait about 15 minutes for the pass. Lastly, when we checked out, our discounts for the downgrade were on the receipt, but not the Hilton Honors long weekender discount that was on my original transaction from when I first booked the hotel. Thankfully I caught this before I left, and the response I received was "sorry we try to catch that when you check out". This should have been automatic if it was on the original booking!! The customer service here is slow and not worth the amount of money you pay to stay at this resort. The only thing you are paying for here is the beach access in which the spots right next to the beach are taken by the "reserved" chairs, which hardly have people sitting in them. Don't think I will be staying here again unless I hear of SIGNIFICANT improvement in the customer service process.

We had a really good experience in October but April has been different. It s not as hot but the pools arnt heated so we don t even want to get in. The indoor pool is even freezing! I have a baby and there is no way I can bring her in there. Also, not having a bathtub really stinks for the kids. The pillows are not fluffy at all, they were flat like pancakes by the time we woke up. It s not as kid friendly as I remember.

Customer service lacks significantly. For a resort attraction their ability to provide excellent service lacks. Typical Florida service. If you want to pay a lot and bot receive the service you should stay here. Otherwise pick the Hampton Inn.

Every inch of the scenery in Sandestin is beautiful. The room I stayed in was little of the small side, but was completely be expected for the rest of the experience and the price. The service was alright, as you didn't always find a good person to answer your questions the first time. I and my family had a blast.

The Hilton Sandestin Beach was a lovely place for a Christmas party. It was hosted in the ballrooms, which were spacious and well decorated. Located directly on the beach, I couldn't help but walk outside, and the view was spectacular. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful, and the banquets staff in particular seemed well informed on the foods. Meats on the carving station were to die for and the rest of the food was good as well. Definitely must go there again.

Could not wait to get there. An entire group of women from my charity group saved to go as a retreat. We were told of the lavish rooms, amazing pools, scenic views and relaxing atmosphere. Only to get there and our rooms be DIRECTLY over a completely empty pool and unusable pool, with round the clock construction. Saws, Sanders, mixers for concrete. Music played by construction crews. We couldn't even open our balcony door to sit and do morning devotions, soak up the beach air, or even conversate. We called three times to finally have them haulted at 8pm only to be woken up again by more sanding and electric mixers etc at 6!!! Am!!!! When we called to place the reservation, it was completely deceitful and misleading to not inform us of the pool maintenance and the entire atmosphere that was affected by this. No one mentioned it and it provided four different families that went with us (as I'm sure countless others) with our first and LAST impression of what the Hilton had to offer. I would suggest asking any and all questions before booking. No question would be a stupid. We wish we would have asked if the trip would be ruined by constrution since they clearly dont inform you of this. We did bring this to the attention of the hotel who on every occasion seemed WE were annoying THEM. consider another, nicer, upfront and honest, enjoyable and relaxing getaway.
