May 13-16 2018. We arrived at the resort at 10am. Our room wasn't supposed to be ready until 3pm. We were greeted with smiles and champagne.. Our luggage was kept behind the counter. Then we were offered to change or remain in our travel attire. We opted to remain in travel attire. The young lady then showed us to one of the breakfast locations and told us to enjoy breakfast, look around and check back around noon. We walked the entire grounds after breakfast. Each person greeted is with a smile and hello. Our room was ready at 12:30. The entire staff was fabulous! I have never met nicer people. Clean clean clean! Every thing was immaculate! Food was amazing. 9 restaurants all open, though not all for breakfast or lunch. Try several things if you like. We did! Plenty of choices! Several bars not including the pool bars. The veiws were breath taking. Plenty of beach and pool lounges and shades. Always plenty of towels. The pools were warm, and inviting. I highly recommend this destination!

Just went this past weekend. The resort is beautiful but customer service was horrible. The resort is understaffed at the restaurants and bars. It was a long wait to get food and drinks at all the restaurant/bars. The staff was slow moving and had a I don t care attitude. They also were constantly running out of food and beverages at the bar and never restocked until the morning. Save your money and do not go to this resort. Everybody who stayed at the resort this past week was complaining about the poor service. Very disappointed and would never go back.

Marketing hype was an exaggeration. "A once-in-a-lifetime experience in paradise" it aint!
Italian restaurant excellent with Ciro the Manager reflecting the spirit of Italy. The romantic experience in Baccarat french restaurant was spoilt with inappropriate loud music. Offshore Island menu was poor. This once classy, elegant resort is now very noisy with badly behaved drunk millennials.

Very beautiful and relaxing place. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We took our honeymoon here and it was great. We didn't get the incentives that we were told we would in our room so that was a downfall. We enjoyed a few of the activities and had a blast for New Year's!! Already booked our next trip back in 2020!! Hoping they might make up for the incentives when we come back!!

the suite as usual was beautiful, but the furniture was in the wrong place, the butler moved it back to the more functional places! the $150.00 a day for a beach cabana is rediculous, for a structure that was free a year and a half ago, MR LUCKY is going to have to fix this? The food was world class, the trip from the airport in the rolls was very relaxing

Very disappointed with the resort as a whole. Still currently here. Mini bar rarely restocked. Attempted to call for waters was given the run around and asked to call concierge and they did not answer. Food is sub par at best. Communication as a whole in the resort is lacking. Seems like a resort that's on it's way to closure. Highly recommend researching other locations. The price to service ratio is far off. They initially make you feel taken care of until you need something. Read the negative reviews they are not far off.

This resort is absolutely amazing and so much more than we could ever hope for our honeymoon! Everyone was so polite and friendly, we never passed an employee without them saying hi to us. The food is fabulous and they even ask if there are any dietary restrictions before they take your order which was so nice. The drinks were delicious and bottomless. The activities were plentiful and so fun, they have a team that keeps the entertainment going all day, I don t know how they can do it! We booked the catamaran tour which was an extra cost but completely worth every penny. Request RoRo for your photo shoot, she really went above and beyond with our pictures!!

The island is amazing and an added bonus to the rest of the resort! We would 100% love to visit again, it s just so perfect in every way!

P.s I wish the resort had their foam party more than once a week it wAs so fun!

Here s the 411.. Sandles is a beautiful island with clear blue water, no fish or seaweed. The private island is what made my vacation absolutely wonderful. Overall the resort/hotel was not a five star hotel.

Food and beverage: 3 out of 5
Most restaurants do not open till 5pm, 2 restaurants required reservations, and Only 1 or 2 places was open for the afternoon (bar food.) Customers Service at the restaurants where outstanding tho! In all honesty I had probably over 10 drinks in a day and could not get drunk not once (crazy isn t it ) I don t drink much so I was a bit shocked. Drinks was not consistent but Food was good. Their buffet has similar food everyday.

Butler service: 3.5 stars out of 5
I stayed in June for my Honeymoon in the garden suit with Butler service. Their website says 24hr service and that is a LIE. Butlers do not go on the private island and they only work from 7am -10pm. Some butlers take about 15-20 mins to accommodate to your request. Butlers are not allowed to save you a cabana on the beach they are first come. All honesty Butler service was not worth it. I thought I was going to feel like royalty having a butler but I ended up having to go get majority of all my drinks/ food myself. But the one thing I did like was they did decorate the bed with rose petals and had the tub filled with water and bubbles as we arrived back to our room on the first night and the next day they decorated the bed with the rose petals again. That did make my honeymoon feel special.

Entertainment: 3 stars
Not a lot of exciting entertainment at resort. They played Caribbean music my first night and it was great. There is tennis, pub boy and a few water sports but jetskeis are not included. Massage was Overpriced and it was just okay! Scuba diving goggles and materials are not included with the free scuba diving. The best entertainment was the private island, it was truly worth my trip. The beach felt and looked like the Maldives. Small pool did have music going and they did try to dance and entertain the guest.

Cleaningness: 3 stars out of 5
tubs were not throughly cleaned you could see particles. Floors had not been professional clean (foot was itching at bottom of foot) and room service was not done before 2/4pm from my remembrance. I did enjoy my room, which was renovated, private garden and tub. For a luxury brand this hotel is quite disappointing due to majority of other room/buildings they have are VERY OLD!!!

Customer service: 3 stars
Service AT the resort was great, very friendly, and professional! But making reservations, speaking with customer service over their 1800 # was the worst experience to start off my trip. If they had a policy to cancel my trip I would have done so. I had repeatedly told them that I was celebrating my honey moon about 10x as it should of been in their notes. I kept asking if I was or was not getting a rolls Royce. Their website markets IF you choose a certain room category (which I did) you would be picked up in that car. But when you pay for your trip they tell you that it s not a guarantee, that it all depends on what s available that day, and if it was not the Rolls Royce it would be a Mercedes. I simply wanted to know in advance. They accepted my tips.

SO just heads up, You will only know when you arrive at the airport to the sandles desk what car will be picking you up and you will not know what floor your room will be on until you check in at the hotel.
Sandles website is not truthful with things they do not disclose. MANY people had flights canceled and sandles DO NOT REFUND you, will not extend your dates or offer you anything to make it up to you, not even if you missed a day or two, and they will give up the room you booked and give you the cheapest room. Even if you pay additional for trip protection they STILL DO NOT. I think I spent a little over $4k on Sandles not including my flight, and my overall experience I would next time spend my money on a actual Luxury hotel like Four Seasons brand for that kind of money.

We had an amazing stay. Always too short but we enjoyed every second. The food at Gordon's and Bacarat and the experience at Kimonos stood out as highlights. The Junkanoo entertainment and Ann Marie the Entertainment manager had constant energy. Earnest at Kimono, definitely kept us entertained while making a great meal. Michael at Bacarat for dinner was a great server, very funny and friendly. Mercedes was our server for Breakfast and Dinner, the same day in two different restaurants and she always had a smile and good energy. Our Butler team Darren, Sheldon and Christopher were amazing! Each of them made us feel welcome and always checked in to make sure we were taken care of. All of the guys at the dive shop were great too. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly, positive and attentive and you could see the professional standard that is set here.

Nice hotel on this location. We enjoyed every minute there. Thanks to Makis, we had such a nice dining experience and learn so many things about Sandals. We will definitely add this hotel chain in our favorite places.

This is our 4th time at a Sandals property. First time we ve ever been disappointed. Service is poor and exceptionally slow. Staff is not friendly. Blended drink selection is very limited and booze is simply poured on top, not blended in. Pool is not heated and ice cold. Overall disappointing experience. Definitely will not return.

My husband and I just got back from a 8 days 7 night stay at the Royal Bahamian and we could not have enjoyed our self anymore. From the moment we were picked up at the airport in a white Rolls-Royce to the beautiful view from our ocean front room. We dined in all the restaurants and had great meals, fresh fruit every meal. We never had to wait long for our food or drinks and they were right there to make sure you were happy. Great weather and we met a lot of friendly vacationers as well as the staff. We had two butlers who would get or do anything for you. Our daytime one was Ekron, who was so friendly, saved our pool chairs everyday, made reservations and kept my husband supplied with drinks. Our nightime butler was Everette and walked us to dinner everynight and had flowers on the table for us and made us some awesome animals out of towels every night on our bed. They give you a cell phone to call them for anything you want. This was our first vacation with a butler and we enjoyed it very much. Our butler helped with our reservations for returning to Pa. I highly recommend this resort and we would definitely would go back. We also loved it was an adult only resort, and there were a very nice mixture of age groups. I like they also had 2 pools, one with music and game and the one we used just lounging around and drinking. Even though we had butlers who made our reservations for dinner, plenty of people didn't and they didn't wait long to be seated.

We have had a wonderful holiday and a perfect wedding here at sandals royal bahamian. Everyone has been so lovely, food amazing and cleanliness 5 stars. Our two favourite people were Ashandi & Keri from the wedding team.

We want to for our honeymoon in November of 2018...we had an amazing time. Butler service is the way to go. All butlers were really good. They get everything ready for you. Pools and the ocean is amazing. Going to the island...was nice. Went went 2x and stayed most the day there. Get there early so you can get a good beach spot. All food is really good. Not sure where the negative reviews come from...but food is good. We were by the party pool...which is not all day and all night. They stop at around 6-7 with DJ and pool bar service. If you want more relax..just go to the other pool. It is a bit aged...but it's a resort in the Bahamas...they are constantly remodeling. It is true they don't fill up your bar for you daily......but it's free everywhere...just have to find one of the people who clean the rooms...they will get it for you. I would highly recommend and hope we can go back one day!

Awesome experience! Great resort, food, service and the best scuba diving ever! Hard to pick my favorite of the huge variety of restaurants, but would say dont miss the French Restaurant Baccarat!!

It was just good. We went on our honeymoon there and were disappointed with the Butler service. They really didn t do a whole lot for us, and everything they did took way too long to justify the price. We met people down there that had a longer trip for much cheaper than what we paid. The place is nice, and the food is great. Just don t pay for the butler service. Isn t worth it.

Overall our visit this year was an "okay" experience. Our first night wasnt the best. We arrived to find only 1 restaurant open for breakfast & lunch. That evening, the same restaurant was open for dinner, along with baccarat & kimonos, the only catch was we had planned on eating at one of the other 7 restaurants that do not require long pants for men. So since all 7 of these other restaurants were closed, we asked if we could get a pass basically for baccarat or kimonos since we had no warning whatsoever & didnt want to eat at 1 restaurant for our entire stay. The manager explained it was from hurricane prep & asked us to work with them, of course its understandable however, sandals should have given a courtesy email or something letting us know to pack pants since we NEVER eat at those restaurants during our visits. Lets be real, who wears a dress shirt & pants it 92 degree temps with 88% humidity. The manager refused, we asked if we could order the food to go & eat on a patio or on the beach, he refused as well. It seemed as if Sandals expected us to work with their half operating establishment but didnt want to do anything in return to work with us.The gift shop did not have pants a available to purchase either, which we were willing to do as well. Our entire stay, Gordons Casanova & the royal cafe remained closed. Chocolate bar was cancelled. Not as friendly of service as previous visits either, normally everyone is very nice & everyone you pass says hello, so not the case this time. I also left a couple items in our room when we checked out, called & sent an email almost immediately to try to locate the items, since we had already left for the airport, i was totally willing to pay shipping for my items to be just sent to my address but i have still yet to receive a response from Sandals in regards to weather they were located or not! Yes i know its my fault for leaving them but a simple, "no we didnt find anything" would be better than being ignored. We have loved visiting royal bahamian over the years but are not sure if we would return again after our experience this time

Although there were alot of downfalls, there were a few people who provided excellent service & truly deserve recognition. Lynn from the pub waited on us every night, very friendly welcoming, even hugged each of the 4 of us each day we visited. Trevor in the piano bar is an incredible bartender & we never once had to ask for a refill! Hands down one of the best we have ever experienced in staying with sandals over the years. If i could rate those two 10 stars i would!

Wonderful vacation at Sandals Royal Bahamian! We spent the week of 8/15-8/22/19 in a swim up/butler suite. I wanted to thank Jackie, Junior and Necia (our butlers) for all of their efforts! They did a great job and we always had someone to call with questions or concerns.

I especially want to mention Nelson with the scuba team. I got PADI certified while at Sandals Royal Bahamian thanks to the patient efforts of Nelson. He took his time, went through (and back through!) everything and was an amazing instructor! Thanks Nelson!

The food was great at all of the restaurants, we had a really fun time with Roshando at Kimonos (teppanyaki) where he not only prepared our meal, but sang a few songs!

We got some great pictures from the resort as well from the roving photographers (Roneka, Lesley-Ann, D'Asia). Even Toni at the gift shop was super fun and helpful. Obviously we really liked the entire staff at the resort and had a great time sunbathing, snorkeling, working out in their gym (great view from the 6th floor!) and relaxing. Thanks for a great vacation Sandals

We are here for our honeymoon. Everything has been fairly great. The only issues I have is that we tried calling room service over an hour and they never picked up. We also were supposed to have rose petals and champagne when we arrived to our room, and there was nothing. They also charged us an additional $400 that is supposed to get refunded back. They were holding it for any additional purchases but REQUIRED it, and I didn t even know about this. I feel like for what we are paying, we deserved a room service call answered at least.

We met great people, and the staff was pretty nice, however the amount of money spent on this trip was not worth it. A couple flaws in the room such as toilet not flushing upon our arrival, a few light switches not working, being told we cant order room service but no option to paying additional or not, however the pool and activity staff were good.

The food very good but the service of very low waiters are a bit unfriendly and very slow the only worker who is very nice and very nice the girl is Roberta an Italian girl who taught us everything and was very attentive to us since we were Spanish and with the Spaniards very bad service

I have a lengthy review of this resort on TripAdvisor! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! Exceeded my expectations. Customer service is next level! We booked for next year before we even left. Special shout outs go to for exceptional customer service go to: Erica, Kisselle, Copeland, Shemica, Deann, Maya, Melvin, Mercedes, & Xavier.

We were so excited about this vacation and sadly it was disappointing.
1. The room was just average with a distinct moldy odor. Went to front desk and asked them to address the moldy odor. They said they would send someone right up. Was there for four days and nobody ever came to address the problem.
2. The staff/waiters/bartenders was not friendly at all and really could have cared less if you were there or not. God forbid you get something other than water to drink with you meal and you can forget getting a refill on your coffee.
4. Most food was average...similar to a cruise ship. Although, the food was delicious at the restaurants that required reservations. I would recommend making reservations the minute you arrive, or you will not get any.
3. The spa was nice and everyone there was very friendly.
4. Overall, I was not impressed and will not be returning or recommending a Sandals to any of my family or friends.

We were looking forward to our second all-inclusive resort experience, the first with sandals, and sadly it missed the mark by a long shot.

WORN OUT FACILITIES-
-Pool tiles are missing or coming off as your in the pool. (There was literally a pile of tiles next to the pool one day)
-Our Hotel Elevator was malfunctioning the majority of our stay.
-Our Hotel room TV which had to be 15 years old had a sandals logo burnt into the TV so you couldn't even watch a show without seeing the logo.
-Various parts of the resort smelt of Mildew or Mold.
-Everything is worn out and dated. Furniture, signage, carpets, decor. (even the photo shop uses a dated system that must be from the 90s to get your photos on a CD!)

POOR SERVICE-

-Overall much of the staff seemed unhappy to be there. You could see them put on a face when they would talk to you. Many times we were given attitude towards some pretty simple questions or requests.

-Lots of confusion due to staff not knowing how to answer your questions or properly help you.

-Nothing was replenished in our 4 night stay in our hotel room. Our towels were taken and not replenished. Calling the front desk got us nothing.

-One restaurant in particular, Casanova. Is horribly managed. We'd go for dinner and have to wait over an hour for a table just to discover that half the restaurant was empty. Even there breakfast buffet they'd make you wait and give you an attitude.

-For breakfast buffets you couldn't get any service so we could never get coffee. Salt and pepper shakers would be empty, no glasses to get juice, Condiments would be empty.

-The staff must be trained to ask dead end questions in an effort to be friendly but its honestly exhausting. They would ask you things like First time in the Bahamas? When did you get here? Where are you from? When are you leaving? And when you answered them they wouldn't say anything. So constantly your just telling staff the same pointless answers to questions they clearly do not care about.

BLAND FOOD-

We had a few good dinners but breakfasts and lunches were always pretty bland. There breakfast buffets leave a lot to be desired. Just the basics. Like your at a Holiday Inn Express.

No room service unless you have butler service. We paid over $900 a night for a mid-level room package so its insulting this isn't offered standard. It seems like a small complaint but due to the restaurant schedules there were numerous times room service would have come in handy. Our other resort experience offered that to everyone and its sad that sandals doesn't do the same.

Overall this resort would have been fine if it was advertised as a 3 Star resort and if what we paid got cut in half. This resort is falsely advertised as being something spectacular when it reality its far from it.

I checked into Sandals Bohemian today. This is the 5th all inclusive resort I've stayed in and the first with Sandals, and it will most certainly be the last. This is the most expensive resort Ive stayed at in the Caribbean, the smallest, and by far the most dingy. The dresser in my room is scratched to shreds, the table has gouges all over it, the carpet in the hallway is stained and gross. We walked into the room, took our shoes off, and went to fill the ice container to grab a drink, when walking into the ice dispenser room there was two shattered glasses on the floor. The grounds are tiny, there is several restaurants ontop of each other, basically there is two pools and the beach. Please dont be fooled by this resort, I've been to amazing resorts in the carribean for half the price, this place is a total dump. I came here to celebrate my anniversary and honestly couldn't be more disappointed. Do not come here. Go anywhere else. If this is your first vacation and you love NASCAR this resort os right for you

We stayed here and the Melia. This place was by far nicer and more comfortable. You really just have to come experience it for yourself. I will warn you. There are no room upgrades. You get what you pay for.

A great place to stay for couples, or adults who do not want to vacation with children around. The staff works very hard to accommodate any and all needs. Never had an issue getting in an on site restaurant for any meal. Room service was excellent...on time and no errors. The off shore island is a great get-a-way. It was easy to go in to town, the staff gave great hints about how to get there, where to eat and drink. Security checks you in and out when going to town, so there is a good feeling of security. Royal Bahamian butlers rock!!! We will definitely re-visit this vacation destination!

This is a centrally located hotel in Nassau, i cant stress just how much fun we had on our vacation. We will definately be back.
We had an amazing view from our spacious room and the service was impecable. Sandals private island is also great make sure you check it out .
We tried almost every restaurant & found no problems.

Went in early December 2018

Went in early December 2018

They ran out of water, beach towels and some food. Our room didn t get cleaned for 2 days and I had to call twice. Their nicer restaurants were always booked even though the place was less than half booked. Waited to be seated at all other restraints for a minimum of 10 minutes even though I was the only one in line. Little ants everywhere in the room. Walkout room in the Zin gardens - except the staff uses the Zin gardens as a highway to everything they do - no Zin in the Zin gardens.

Understaffed and the staff that was here didn t seam to care. Talking to other locals, they all say this resort has a horrible reputation for the quality of its staff.

Unless you want to drink cheap drinks all day and night, don t waste your time or money here.

1. At the airport, we were met by a Rolls-Royce - ...

1. At the airport, we were met by a Rolls-Royce - LIKE! But the conditions inside this car were probably comparable only to the conditions of a used economy class car of the 80s.... - DISLIKE!
2. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were assigned our own butler, given a phone number to contact him and quickly escorted to the room where we were waited by a bottle of champagne - LIKE!!! But the state of this telephone, the state of the room and the small terrace, made us absolutely despondent... - DISLIKE!
Old, shabby and well-worn, the room is old, the bathroom is old, the closets and toilets are old, the plumbing is just outdated.... In general, the situation is the same as with the Rolls-Royce - just flossing.
3. The beach is another story.... In the room there was an advertising brochure with a photo of this beach - real BOUNTY - LIKE! When we rushed to the balcony to enjoy the same view (we specifically took a room with a sea view), our disappointment had no limits.... The entire coastline was littered with dry seaweed about 20 cm thick.... And it was not possible to go for a swim in the warm Caribbean sea... - DISLIKE!!!
4. The bay itself is at the hotel, with a wooden pier and a restaurant on it - LIKE!
But the PLASTIC beach furniture, sofas, and sun beds were in disrepair - torn plastic chairs, pillows with greasy spots and smudges on them... We wanted to take a picture for the Instagram, but we did not know where to sit, so as not to get scratched, not to get dirty and so that all this "beauty" was not visible...
5. Next - food and beverages on the system "all inclusive". Let's start with breakfast - could we call it "breakfast" in a five-star hotel? - NO offhand.... Portioned boxes of muesli and cereal - as if they were 100 years old - gave the impression that they were taken from the food supplies of cold war shelters... The interior of the breakfast room resembled an excellent army canteen, but not a restaurant in a five-star hotel... For lunch we went to a restaurant near the beach.... Since we are wine lovers, we paid attention to its choice in the wine list - it was worthy - LIKE!!!! But a choice of dishes and quality of cooking was a minus - choice resembled the menu of McDonald's, but not a restaurant menu in a five star hotel... - DISLIKE!!!
After 24 hours spent in the hotel with all these likes and dislikes, we decided to move from it to another 4-star hotel (I won't write the name, so that my review is not perceived as the machinations of competitors). But after a 10-minute drive from Sandals, we were already lying on the beach with white sand, clean sea and quality sunbeds in large numbers. Of course, no one returned the money for the almost spoiled holiday.... Although there was an attempt on the part of the General Manager of the butlers of the Sandals Bahamian hotel, but again only in words, as well as everything else in this hotel - they took my phone and mail, and promised to send a voucher for all the lost days for free accommodation in any other hotel of this chain...., but it's been 7 days, and no one has contacted me.... Although the hotel's mail program regularly requests my impression of the stay by mail. So I've decided to share it not only with the program, but also with other people planning their "five-star" vacation....
6. Advertising materials, brochures, website, social networks are made in a highly professional way - LIKE!!! However, if you compare the image on the site with reality, you will get a 100% discrepancy... - DISLIKE!!!
And this, from my point of view, is already a deliberate deception of the buyer of hotel services...

CONCLUSION - THIS HOTEL HAS NO RIGHT TO CLAIM A FIVE-STAR RATING!!!
Its maximum is confident 3 stars.... So make plans and decisions according to this understanding.

I arrived at the hotel 2hours ago and still haven t received my luggage which they insisted on delivering to the room. I ve called the front desk 4 times and each time I was told it ll be up shortly, or someone is checking on it! For the amount of money the resort charges this is a terrible first impression and there is nothing premium or Luxury about the service thus far!

I sent this in an e-mail in November, but I haven't heard back.

We were very excited because we had heard so many good things about Sandals but we were severely disappointed by a number of things from our stay. It s frustrating to have our honeymoon memories be tinged with frustration due to our decision to go to this Sandals.

For the price we paid, I am likely to never seek out Sandals if this is the standard level of services offered.

Check-in was not a pleasant experience. Our room wasn't ready (why did I provide my flight information if I am not going to have a room?). There were no estimates about when our room would be ready. It was very clear that the tour and the encouragement to just have a bite to eat were attempts to hide the fact that our room would not be ready for awhile. This was extremely frustrating after a morning of travel, the last thing we wanted to do was walk around in our clothes instead of settling down in our room. We were hoping to get into our swimsuits so we could enjoy the pool the first day but we didn't get our room until much later when the sun had almost set, therefore our first day almost felt like a waste. Not only was the process of check-in not pleasant, they didn't have the 'honeymoon package', the $250 spa credit, or our included Candlelight dinner ready for us to use when we did finally check in. I had to walk around with my phone and the booking number to ensure that our promotions were honored. It was like pulling teeth and I felt like we were getting the runaround as again, no one had a straight answer to when or why this was not working. Why should I be the one keeping track of the promotions instead of it being handled seamlessly during our check-in?

In total, we spent Monday waiting for our room to be ready and Tuesday morning running around getting our promotions sorted out. We didn't even get to enjoy the fully enjoy the pool until the afternoon Tuesday.

Also, the room itself was supposed to be an ocean view but we had a lovely view of a parking lot with bright lights at night. Which isn't awful but felt very misleading and deceptive to refer to it as an ocean view. The pool view rooms, which were advertised as cheaper options than the oceanview, probably had a better view of the ocean than we did.

Most of our dining experiences were egregiously bad. One time when ordered room service, they called to say they on there way and never showed up. One occasion the room service arrived approximately 1 hour after we had called - and this was after several run repeat calls to Room Service and the Concierge from my wife. We got a half hearted Sorry and no other apology or service to account for our time. The room service food was inconsistent and not good. We had numerous cold/dry burgers, salad without dressing, or wrong orders in general. Service and food was bad at Spices (breakfast/lunch) where we would constantly come back from a trip to the buffet and find our silverware was taken or we had to ask multiple times for water or coffee. At Casanova our courses took well over 45 minutes in between and several people seated next to us simply left instead of waiting for the food. At Cricketeers, we again had to wait nearly an hour for a drink or a our food. At Baccarat, where we had heard fantastic reviews, we had the worst service of our trip. It took almost 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us or give us water. We ordered two wines but were only given one and couldn t get anyone to bring us another wine. Like at Casanova, the wait time in between courses was insanely long. When the food did arrive, it was overcooked.

I understand that it is an all-inclusive and that we may be on island time, but service was never consistently attentive enough to even provide basics of drinks and water. I feel like that's important if your meal is taking over an hour after you order it, especially if we are at an all inclusive. Keep the drinks flowing and I'll enjoy the company of my wife while we wait for our food to be cooked well (which it wasn't)

My husband and I stayed @ Sandals Royal Bahamian for our honeymoon VS1 Royal English One Bedroom Butler Villa Suite with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub and I WANT MY DAMN MONEY BACK. First I would like to say its False advertisement don't waste your money on a butler we never saw our butler. They told us every day they would write something on our Calendar where our dinner arrangments would be it never happen. My husband and I never knew where we were eating nor the time. Before your trip, they tell you to do this questioner so your butler will know what you would like an etc. complete waste of time. Housekeeping didn't clean our room 4 out of the 5times with that being said one day it rained and we stayed in until we took our pictures at 3pm they informed my husband the 2nd rounds are at 6pm (I didn't know this at the time) I called to get the room cleaned while we where taking our pictures and having dinner we came back to the room at 8pm the ROOM STILL WAS NOT CLEAN, I had to call the management.!!!! Also, I waste a drink on the floor it was sticky I called to get that cleaned it never happen so since our room never got cleaned out the floor was sticky for 3days. Also, the food that was delivered to our room stay outside our door for 3+ days drinks, leftover food etc it was nasty. The Flys in the restaurant OMG all OVER THE FOOD inside and outside. One day we called our butler to bring us a pizza and a burger on the beach right next to the restaurant 50mins later we called again like where is our food he was like let me check on it (the couple next to us went up and got their own food and had their food before us). 80mins later he brings our food cold I had to get something else so I just got it on my own. It wasn't just my husband and I complaining but other guests we talked to were having the same problems they even said "I think our butler is mad at us because we have been doing everything ourselves. Also, my room which was newly remodeled the fire alarm kept going off and i guess our room was by a loading dock which sucked. I did my research on the resorts for a year via Sandals youtube videos explaining everything, reading everything that needs to be known and we didn't get what was promised. Now, the Beach was beautiful, nice and clean and everyone greets you and tries to help if your looking lost because we didn't get a tour of the resort even though we had a butler. Also, one of our butlers was really nice and was on top of everything but we only had him one full day. I just think if Sandals should give whats advertised.

This was the first Sandals vacation my husband and I have had. I completely rate this resort a 4.9 out of 5. This definitely says a lot about our experience. We had booked a Club Room - Windsor Honeymoon Oversized Junior Suite with a Garden View for 6 nights and 7 days. Upon our arrival at the Nassau Airport finding the Sandals lounge was very easy to find. It took them less than 5-10 minutes to tag our luggage and send us off to our shared shuttle service. When we arrived at the resort we were given cold hand towels and collected our bags. Then they escorted us to the club lounge, where they handed us champagne and an i-pad to fill out the information. After filling out information since we arrived before check in time and our room was not ready yet at 12:30 pm they gave us a resort tour and escorted us to a wonderful lunch buffet restaurant called Spices. The buffet was absolutely delicious! I am an avid cruiser and I would describe the food as the best formal dinner night cuisine in a buffet style with salads, soups, and hot meals. Once we were done with our lunch we checked back into the club lounge and was advised that our room was ready. We went to our room and was very pleased with the accommodations. The bathroom was well equipped with their own brand Red Lane Spa shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soaps. We had plenty of towels, two robes, and everything was great in the room. The TV was large, the king bed was nice and comfortable, and all the furniture was stylish as well as in good condition. Getting a club room is nice! You get concierge service, exclusive club activities, as well as free room service! Now here's why my review is 4.9 out of 5 stars (which I had rounded up)...after waiting an hour and a half our luggage had not arrived in our room. After 2 hours of losing our minds and the resort staff members searching at the resort, they finally found it through security footage. It was delivered to the wrong room. Throughout our stay, many managers and staff members followed up on me and made sure I was okay as I was very distraught about the situation. In the end, the resort staff did their absolute best and I am thankful for their efforts. The resort gave us some credit to thank us for our patience and understanding. We used that towards our spa visit which I will explain later.

The next day we decided to utilize the free/included snorkeling. We had a great time! This type of excursion would normally cost you around $100 if you had enlisted to a snorkel tour. Sandals will provide you with the equipment for free. Sandals also offers free scuba (which we did not partake in). After our snorkeling trip, we visited the private island. We ate at the restaurant Schooners and enjoyed their conch fritters. After our lunch, we found an empty cabana with a swing. We loved the beach view at the back side of the island and took a nap and enjoyed the sea breeze.

The next few days was relaxing days by the beautiful beach and two large main pools. We had the chance to eat Kimonos as well as Baccarat. Most of the time we ate at Bella Napoli (Pizza Place) or at Spices (buffet). I was very pleased with the meal options and the quality of food they had here! I just wished that they had a sushi restaurant...to me that is the only thing missing.

We also utilized spa services at their Red Lane Spa. It was THE BEST COUPLE MASSAGES WE HAVE EVER HAD! The massage therapists were kind, friendly, and very skilled. We did the scents of love and enjoyed every minute of it. After the massage, I enjoyed the steam room with essential oils and my husband enjoyed the sauna. After that massage, we felt like completely different people. It was such a great calming, relaxing, and rejuvenating experience.

Overall we enjoyed the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort and Private Island so much that we had booked our next Sandals vacation to Grenada next year. We are now Sandals vacation lovers!

Ok so to say perfect would be a total understatement between the wonderful facilities and the wonderful and very professional personnel sandals was the greatest. A couple of people I'd like to mention are first and foremost the general manager Gary and the hotel manager Jackson they really went out of the way to make the whole experience perfect and enjoyable. Next and equally important to especially me the dive shop staff Ramon, Sammy , and everyone else who's name and please forgive me I suck at names lol but they all really do deserve the proper equal credit as they really did all contribute to my diving enjoyment and experience. Next my room was 1516 from 7/15/17-7/22/17 the housekeeping staff was exceptional and very pleasant. Now of course most important the bartending staff particularly shervin at the piano bar and the others that worked with him and ronard at critchters pub were exceptional and have become like family to my wife and I all in a beyond perfect experience thank you so very much. Look forward to seeing you all next year. with Teresa Sceri.

My husband and I never stayed at a Sandals until last week and we will never again! We waisted two days just trying to get the room we paid for. Was told by our travel agent the bar in our room would be stocked with the liquor we like NOT TRUE! Was told we would have to pay extra. The food was good and housekeeping helped us more than anyone.

When to this sandals royal bahamian in Aug. 2018! I really don't like to leave bad reviews but they gave me no choice at this point! Had butler room with bad service! First i thought that the butler manager Tamra was going to take care of it for us! But it has been over 8 months with emails, phone and no result! This being our 3rd sandals was by far the worst ever! Called the customer service and spoke to kedela that was rude and wouldn't help with my matter and no one else to speak! Tons of travels were getting sick at this resort and the butler gave away our table at dinner and we had to wait over an hour ! JUST CRAZY service and still can't get any from Sandals ! Be aware!

This was supposed to be the most memorable trip of our new lives together. We were on a tight budget of only $4k which could have stretched much further going pretty much anywhere else. We decided to take a shorter 4 day honeymoon to be treated like a king and queen, instead of going away for 1-2 weeks somewhere else.

What upsets us the most is that we have been on many vacations and never spent almost $900/day on food and lodging. We were given the expectation that we would have exactly what was promised an AMAZING honeymoon in a gorgeous and PRIVATE luxury suite with all the amenities and GOURMET food and drinks. If this trip was 1/5th of the price then maybe it might justify the experience. However, it was the exact opposite. We can t get our honeymoon back but we would like our money refunded because we did not get what we were promised. We would also like to communicate our experiences with Sandals and JetBlue Getaways preventing any other newlyweds from the same torture.

Most of the stuff is very unfriendly. Cost-benefit ratio is absolutely bad.
The beach at the hotel is not so nice, it stinks. But the beach on the separat island is nice. The food in the restaurants was okay, but you have to wait to get seated and this tooks very long (even if the most of the tables are free!!!)
Organisation of the stuff is horrible especially in the restaurants.

So to start off this was not the vacation that I was expecting. First off I was celebrating my honeymoon with my wife and had a horrible time. We followed the request of sending a copy of our wedding invitation so that the resort would know we were telling the truth. Upon arrival we were not met with a warm towel or champagne which was in the details. It took over 2 hours to get checked into our room. When I asked staff if they were usually busy staff replied they were at 99% occupancy, which was said over and over again. After we got into our room we were expecting rose petals on our bed since we were honeymooners which weren t there. Our view looked over the hotel parking lot next to sandals which not to mention had an car alarm go off each night. I walked down stairs to get a drink at the pub restaurant. I walked in and saw staff standing around I requested a beer and they said I had to wait 15 min until they were open. I asked staff were to go and they said spices restaurant. I proceeded to the restaurant and they also seemed confused and the bar would not serve me. It seemed staff was unorganized and unsure of what was going on the entire trip. I returned to the room determined to have a good time with my new wife and filled out the complementary bed and breakfast card and hung it on the door as instructed which was suppose to be picked up that night. However the following morning the breakfast card was not picked up which made me waste my morning in the room. Also our toilet kept running after calling maintenance and them coming, the guy told me to jiggle the handle if it gets stuck otherwise call him again. Glad to be on vacation messing with a toliet every time it gets stuck. The wait at the restaurants were over an hour at average every time. During one time at the party pool I saw bees floating inside the alcohol bottle with staff making drinks with the bottle. I brought it to there attention and they only replied thanks glad manager didn t see. Another time I said there was a bee in the blender and staff replied it adds potassium to the drink. The entertainment staff at the pool Q and peter even insulted me with a cocky attitude. They thought it was funny to rub my head while i was laying on the chair. In no way did I give the impression that touching me was ok . I don t understand I ve never been treated this way my entire life. I ve never written a review before but this resort with the Sandals name was so bad I will never go a sandals again. Even after bringing all the problems to the staff we never received rose petals.. staff still was unpleasant and seemed no motivation to make guests happy. Once we went to the gift shop to purchase sunglasses. The glasses came to $25 will gave $30 and was told sorry they didn t have change, so we had to charge it to the room. The one time we tried to take the shuttle to the casino the bus drove in and drove right out leaving us standing there waiting for an additional 20 mins that we already waited. We told security and they said we have to take it up with the company which is not ran by sandals. Do not stay here hopefully other sandals are better but do not come to the Bahamas for the money you spend you will be disappointed. I spoke with several guests on the resort and everyone I spoke to was saying similar problems we experienced. Do not waste your money here I learned the hard way. Sandals needs to really look into the people working here it seems like they don t care and are terrible at there jobs. Sandals has the name and is known for excellence but this place should not have the name sandals.

Its ok

Posting this for Travelers awareness. We were supposed to get married in September at Sandals Royal Bahamian however the resort notified us yesterday that it's closing for 2 months (August 15 - Oct 13). We have worked with the resort to re-schedule our wedding however between negotiating new dates, rescheduling our flights and now notifying all of our guests that they must call the hotel directly, it's turning into quite the endeavor.
