Really weird food. Charred to death and too much stodge. Three huge slabs of bread, a slither of salad and chicken with more chips may appeal to some but it looked horrendous to me. My fish was served with nothing else which is interesting like volcanic rock is interesting: flavourless, charcoaled and as attractive as a rock. I have a funny feeling the chef is a smoker who can't taste his food. Over seasoned, over sized and of course over priced.
Fantastic location in Oxford st next to the Debenhams department store. Hotel not very big, rooms with all the needs, buffet breakfast very good and varied, clean and modern.
They made a double from one local room, the beds had to be shifted terribly, but in order to have access to sockets and switches, the beds had to be moved. In this tiny room, one nightstand and two chairs did not fit with suitcases .. Not a single sconce or side lamp ... There is no hook or coat rack for outerwear (it is extremely inconvenient in winter) A week with my daughter suffered in this cramped space! And the pictures are all beautiful ...
Very nice staff. they usually don't serve black pudding at the breakfast buffet, but David from the reception made it happen. the rooms are OK. the hotel is located perfectly for shopping.
Nice and next to the Center located hotel. Room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. Breakfast selection was small but the quality of the food was excellent. Quite expensive but your in the middle of City and save a lot of time.
We were given a room on the 9th floor (which is for executive only), where we had access to the executive lounge where kids aren't allowed (no under 12s). Nice view of runway and good area, the canepes consisted of mini cooked foods like samoas, there were also olives and pretzels, plenty of drinks i.e wine and beer. The amount of drinks including alcoholic drinks, made up for the price of the upgrade and more.
Seemed to be que up for seats in the restaurant but not a large que, decided room service. Room service was quick!
The room looked nice and modern with good size bathroom - only had a shower. It had a good size TV and a city view.
Sorry to be getting an early flight and not get Breakfast!
Friendly and helpful front desk, had a very good welcoming experience. Staff in breakfast room could have been more polite. Bedding was the worst nightmare for this grade of hotel, mattress was sunken in the middle caused bad back pain.
The Hotel location is great, right in the middle of center, the tube station is very close. There are a lot of shopping malls on that street. The room was not so big, but was clean and comfortable. Everything you need can find in the room. The breakfast is good and tasty, and the only bad thing is that every day they serve the same things. The staff is helpful and friendly.
The reception is a compendium of insolence and distrust. The breakfast acceptable and the waiters do not know their trade. The only good thing, the situation and communications. For what you pay, you get unworthy treatment.
It is fine. Checkin was great - super nice greeting and the process was nice. Very small lifts, sizeable bedroom and well-equipped bathroom. I would return. The best part: the room service. Had one of the best steak dinners in my life!
Wonderful Hotel Situated In One Of The Best Places In Center London On Oxford Street Just Opposite To Old Bond Boutiques Street . Large Rooms and Lovely Staff .
Great to start with. Ordered a glass of champagne to our room which was off sent it back then on check out still charged for it. Still waiting for refund
The hotel is great, the reception is excellent and in the text of the market but its flaw is the rooms overlooking the shopping street are nuisance until late at night
Rooms are very tiny, it was too cold in the room as they do not have heating system as a cold country, and if you want smoking room you need to pay additional 250 pound which is very strange .. I cant give it 4 star it should be 3 star only!
Absolutely 1st class the staff are so helpful & efficient the rooms where so big with a settee & large screen TV on the wall the bed & pillows where so comfortable had no problems sleeping & the breakfasts in the morning where absolutely amazing so much to choose from it was buffet style but you could also order off the menu if you wanted something special cooked but must admit the where the best poached eggs i have ever tasted our daughter and 18 month old Granddaughter was with us & the staff couldn't do enough for her would certainly recommend the place & book again its situated right in the centre of Oxford Street so was perfect.
The location for tourists is perfect. Close to the shopping, hyde park and next door to the subway station.
The hotel look clean and modern. Our room wasnt big, but the use of space is done quite nicely. Shower head and the hand wash in the bathroom was poorly thought out. Showerhead is fixed in one place. I prefer to be able to move it up and down more. And the faucet is so low its hardly possible to was ones hands under it.
Signs of water leak from the air conditioning in the room, with sloppy patch work on the roof and damaged carpet is very notisable. I think they should do it right if they are going to fix something.
Staff is friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is perfect.
Good location, wonderful staff, comfortable bed (double), clean bathroom and well organized room. I did not like the elevator because it was too small, and the room had no hot air.
We went to this hotel for afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. However they seemed reluctant to accept any pre-booking discount. Also the restaurant could have been a bit cleaner as there were stains on the tablecloth when we arrived and were disturbed by a few flies during our food.
It was a nice experience & I must say the location was its best asset. I got a room with a view on Oxford Street (a very busy street) yet I couldn t hear a thing! Yeey! The only flaw has to do with the housekeeper, she had somewhat of a problem with the cups as by the date of checkout I had 8 cups accumulated on my table (?!) I remained silent about it though hoping she gonna take them on the next day but no, she decided to overlook them instead.
Great room, very comfortable bed and very large, the staff is very kind and helpful with a very good welcome. Nothing to say. Just a pb of brightness that wakes us up early despite the curtains ...
I was there for 4 days and had a wonderful stay the staff were really nice and extremely helpful and accommodating the whole time especially the girls at the front desk. The location was great too.
Good location for shopping and dining. Staff at the front desk are nice and friendly. The room look pretty good but the mattresses in my room and my parents' room are too out of shape. (we are a family of five, we have three rooms and two of them are bad) It has a big dent in the middle, gave me a backache. Cleanliness is quit poor compare to the money we spent. I have a few strains of hair in one my towel and the drinking glass looks dirty.
Very good location, spacious room clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. A bit expensive but hey ... it's London. It was hot in the room despite being in Oct and outside the temperature is a little cool .... Airco not terrible, thankfully it can be unplugged and the windows can open a little
