Do not understand why the prices in your pubs have increased so much!You used to be real value for money but not now!Will not be visiting your pubs again!!!

Extremely disappointed to see one of your pubs being used to stake out a peaceful protest in Stamford Bridge today. Without the knowledge of the staff a local councillor was taking photos of the protesters to then publish without permission. Totally spoilt my experience of a wonderful pub with great food. Was going to arrange an event there later in the month but if this person is a regular with his sneaky photos we might be finding somewhere else to go.

One of the few independent traditional breweries that remain in the United Kingdom, they continue brewing as they did three centuries ago and distributing it with their carts pulled by beautiful white steeds, which can be visited in the stables of the brewery. Authentic Real Pale Ale, magnificent chimneys with charcoal, very cozy, is worth a visit to Tadcaster. It offers beers for vegetarians 100% free of animal additives, something that very few beers guarantee.

I would like to say that I enjoy your Old Brewery bitter, but I also like my whisky and dry ginger. I have been informed that you don't supply the Dry Ginger any more. I cannot understand the reason as whisky and dry is a traditional drink so why stop selling the ginger. I am sure I'm not alone with this complaint, so on behalf of all the Whisky and ginger drinkers please reinstate the dry ginger. THANK YOU

time humphrey left, he has ruined the Royal oak at Ulley, completely destroyed it for the locals, no sitting on walls ( they have been doing this for 50 years in my memory, trully awful frozen meals, banning motorcycles, and destroying the charachter of the place, Humphrey Smith is not welcome in Ulley

A general standard brewery nothing really special about it.

One of the better chocolate beers out there amd their fruit beers are great too

Can't beat a pint of Sam Smith's lager, I like pub's with no TV's and jukeboxes, no one talking loudly on the phone, I can sit by the fire and enjoy my pint

Great beer but pubs closing by the hour . Either give us the beer in a normal pub style environment. Or turn them in to kindergartens/sell them . Your beer is great but your places are a joke . It's very clear your business model isn't trying to keep us customers happy. So get on with your master plan because I've got a theakston to drink .

Ruining great pubs which have so much potential. Treating managers of bars like rubbish. Treating staff just as bad. No rights as workers under Samuel Smith brewery bars. Just look online to see what people are going through. Absolutely the worst kind of people!!!!

Established in 1758, and wants to stick to their roots. Seems fine to me. Respect history and heritage.

Drinks are great but the no mobile phones is completely stupid as they are necessary modern life and stops people like me who keep to themselves say in a pub watching paint dry

Hi there after going in the Brown bear sheffield for 40 years the standaard of this pub is terrible the toilet se stink the decor is awful please do something to recify please

I live probably 100 miles from any Samuel Smiths pub so i pitty their customers and therefore it shouldn't bother me but i read about the Victor Meldrew who owns them. I would never set foot in a pub without Tvs, jukeboxes let alone no pool tables or fruit machines. Life too short for people like him

Very weird pubs and no phones I hope they go bankrupt with covid 19

Just visited Trafalgar Bay in York. Humphrey Smith' has banned the use of mobiles to promote the traditional social environment in Yorkshire pubs . However I was greeted to an empty pub with the landlord Sat at sewing machine making cushion covers. I waited 5mins before he came to serve me. Is this the way Mr. Humphrey wants his pubs to survive

I drink in one your local pubs, but what I don't understand I can't have a ringtone on my mobile. I was told earlier to turn my phone ooff. I thought it was a public house but your rules are are dicdating. Also it is my personal authority to use my phone that is why it's a PUBLIC HOUSE

I just had a bottle of the organic chocolate stout far away. It was delicious. Based on comments here and the policy, I will never visit.

Some great pubs and beers just the wsy they treat manager's and staff pubs shut because humphrey walks in and sees a mobile phone or hears swearing sacks managers and staff on the spot for this. Humphrey needs to go

You can't eat what you want but other people or regulars can have pizzas delivered and can eat them on premises with landlords permission

Dreadful beer,grim microwave food and a horrible old man who treats employees and customers with disdain,coupled with bizarre draconian rules in the pubs make Sam Smith pubs ones to avoid.Will not go in one again until Mr H Smith is dead.

One of my favourite 2 pubs in Ollerton. I don't mind the phone ban as I'm out with friends so who do I need to talk too on my phone, great price for a good drink. Xx

Absolute joke of a brewery who couldn t run a bath let alone a chain of pubs....I live near a local estate pub which has only been re-opened for 8-9 weeks and the local community have really supported it since the re-opening. Then today at an organised charity pool competition The so-called MR SMITH came and closed the pub down due to their being children in there....what more can you expect in an estate pub on a Sunday afternoon during a charity event. MR SMITH you should be ashamed of yourself !!!!! The sooner you sell up so we get our pub back the better.

Very strange policy regarding "swearing" and "mobile phone usage". You hate to see it in the modern age. Not even accepting cards! I hope the owner (Humphrey) enjoys his unlimited fine for mismanaging pensions.

Huge shame that a once top brewery with brilliant pubs is now run by lunatics that have decimated their reputation and business. Hopefully heading for bust, which they totally deserve.

The Organic chocolate stout is amazing. just simply amazing. My #1 reason for wanting to visit the UK. BUT I just read how the place is run and will never visit an establishment like that. love the beer.

Nutcases run this brewery and its managed pubs. The Commercial on New Street Huddersfield, is now a very unpleasant place to drink. Customers are banned for life should they have the temerity to complain of the nuisance cluster flies and the lack of basic hygiene.
