i been shopping with SAKS for years. Yesterday, I opened a bottle of face mask from Saks. I found it is opened. I call Saks many times, and each calls over 30 mins waiting. what an unfortunately, the call was not answer domestically. they promise to have someone to pick it up for a return. I was at home all day. no one comes up. I wrote emails to them - no reply. at the end, I placed my order with Nordstorm. They are so much better. DO NOT SHOP AT SAKS

I shopped on Friday the 23rd evening and each associate that I encountered could not have been more accommodating. Great customer service especially Suraya in the glove department.
When it comes to department store shopping the Saks 5th Avenue Flagship store is on another plain than the completion. Whether it's style, selection, exclusivity, value, service or any combination of the above, you'll find it here. Oh, BTW if your a woman shopping for shoes...this is paradise...so large it has its own zipcode. Plus if you're a man following you spose around the store...there is comfortable seating peppered around each department.
I have been a long time customer of saks and have shopped here for over 10 years. I will NEVER shop here again. The service has SERIOUSLY declined which makes me so sad, but it is time to move on. In the last 2 months there has been a TON of disasters. I ordered a pair of $1200 pumps and was sent 2 different sizes in the box (one size 7 & one size 8), and another pair of Chanel shoes which were the wrong size. ( i ordered an 8 and received a size 7). To make matters worse they sent me the 8 after i complained, BUT they still have not sent me a label to return the 7s, so i have been charged for both pairs even though I have been told i would receive a return label or fed-ex pick up, REMEMBER Saks charges return shipping! This is all on top of receiving someone else's dress when I ordered an 8,000 custom wedding dress. AND Instead of doing everything in their power to help me fix this situation they basically told me i MAY have something that looks kind of like what i wanted, we would have to wait and see, However they continued to tell me that anyone should know that a dress wouldn't come out the way i was expecting to?!?! I am not a dress maker? that why i was paying 8,000! To get that advise - which i would have liked 8 months ago, not after they messed up! Only stress and aggravation! I literally am not one to ever complain i am in my mid 30s and i think this is the 1st negative review i have ever left. But be warned! Thanks but i'll just buy from Bergdorf now, and i recommend you do too!
I had a great experience with Darin Reyes, purchasing Creed Colon!!! He was very attentive, professional and nice!! He really saved my evening after I had a horrible experience with Sofia..!! Unacceptable and unprofessional service I have ever encountered!! He had to apologize for weird behavior of Sofia. She was picking up her personal phone , interrupting me, screaming " Omg, my dentist is calling me.. omg". I was lost for a second. Am I realy at Sacks fifth Avenue famous store, buying like a $450.00 colon... and this lady acting like a clown??!. Talking on her personal phone loudly, completely disregarding me, very disrespectful.. it was clear. Who's paying the money though and who has to please the customer. left me by the register and etc. Thanks Darin came to" rescue
Beautiful displays. Meticulously designer. Very creative. Cross over to see the world famous Christmas tree at Rockefeller Centre, and go for a skate at the Rockefeller skating rink. Mind the lineups and crowds - there s no way around them.
his place makes you feel very unwelcome. Good luck getting help from a sales person like Margo scall who likes to walk off without saying anything . I had an item that needed tailoring, they never called to say it was ready. I called them just to be hung up on. Called again the next day and was treated with disrespect. If you like Saks 5th Avenue go do another location or shop elsewhere
We visited at Christmas 2018 and It was undergoing a refurbishment on the ground floor, so alot of that area is closed. Otherwise still the same as it's always been.
The fabulous newly remodeled designer bags department on the first floor also the cosmetics and fragrances one on the 2nd floor, along with the traditional Sacks personalized top service are incomenssurable.
Set of varying high end boutiques within store. 3 levels, great lighting. Staff for the most provide customer service. Did not have up to date catalog upon request (out of stock) thus deducting two stars.
This is a shoppers dream come true. The renovation is on point! However they need air conditioning in the elevators! Bonkyu in men s shoes was a great help! Love my new Gucci high tops!
Very accommodating service on a busy day. I went with my Fiance to get shoes for her and I am not usually entertained by that lol but it was a different flow here. Nobody hounded you but were definitely available to help. The outcome was a very happy Fiance and a very happy me! 8th floor=great service.
A department store at 5 Avd, which is very good, but at Christmas is spectacular and must-see, it is almost opposite the Rockefeller Center, when it gets dark there are many people to see the light and sound show of the facade
Yes Pricey, but have great designers. Customer service was good except for the guy who gave my husband poor customer service in the men's Gucci shoes department. Every shoe he ask for he delayed to get them for us, or he would act like he forgot what we had asked for when we was the only customers there at that moment. So, we felt insulted and left and went and got our shoes in the Gucci Dept in Macy's on 34 street. They even had better selections, so we ended up leaving with more than what we planned.
Completely UNREASONABLE when it comes to returns. Picture ID, credit card, name, address, receipt. Not to mention it took 20 minutes and two aggravating managers to interpret their "standard" return policy this way.
Do you really need another stressor in your life?
Jeez, guilty until proven innocent. What is this, Draconian Law?
Saks Fifth Avenue's sales staff was pushy and unhelpful when trying to make the initial purchase too. Despite requesting specific (on display and in stock!) products multiple times, sales staff continued to push another irrelevant product of little interest, and push another sales associate from another area. Most people would rather be helped by the sales associate of their choosing and I personally do not feel comfortable with any part of this type of customer "service."
As mentioned above, staff and management were clearly useless during the return phase of a product. It is worth noting that after 20 minutes and many headaches, they did eventually honor the return policy.
So yes, they do carry nice items (at rediculous prices), but it's nothing better than what's available elsewhere. Their customer service is vastly inferior to their competition.
With such infuriatingly irritating staff, you may as well consider purchases final, and you may as well consider going elsewhere. I know I will.
This is one of the biggest must-see dept. stores you should see whenever you're visiting NYC. It has 10 floors and the first floor is huge enough. Otherwise, nothing much.
Great place to shop they have all designer stores! It s very crowded though, but the experience is nice! All the stores I went to the staff was very friendly.
My experience was online and it was terrible. I ordered perfume for my mom s bday with 2 day shipping and then I noticed they just refunded my acct after perfume was supposed to be delivered. So I called and they said the shipping got delayed and it would take 48 hours for someone to review why this happened. Wow. That is not customer service and I will never order anything from them again.
Macy's is a place that you have to spend in New York if you like to go shopping, sometimes the prices are very high and you can find the same cheaper piece in other stores so make sure it is something you like a lot and unconventional whatever you choose.
There are a lot of things inside, all kinds of brands, there are many kinds, all kinds of luxury goods are also available, you can go shopping for a long time.
Great place to shop all designers at in one place. The first floor has an amazing makeup selection. The only thumbs ng I want so impressed is the kid/baby section on 7th floor. I couldn't find anything the only company that they carried a decent selection was Burberry. But in over all it's a great shopping experience!
This flagship store is where you go to shop for the classical to trendy types that you might now. The merchandise is catered to the classical, modern, sleek, and/or trendy item seeking shoppers. Of all the NY Department stores, Saks has to be one of the best main level experiences. Cosmetics, Jewelry, and Accessories are their own department stores. The best time to take tourists is during the Christmas season when the windows are done. The store also has several advertised seasonal sales throughout the year. It has it's own discount centers called Off Fifth where you will find past season merchandise heavily marked down.
The store overall is good. Just that I m very upset about the staff at Chanel beauty space. There were a lot of staff that looked free but no one tried to help me. I was looking around for a while but no one, no one helped me. Why don t you put up a sign that you re for white people? Never going to this racist place.
Wow !!! WONDERFUL shopping center. Fine, expensive but the best. It has everything and all makes and models of everything, clothing, shoes, lingerie, coats. You are left with your mouth open. Excellent attention and comfort and in the USA they are the best in everything, even in the presentation of their stained glass windows, especially at the time of special dates.
The business is full of luxury brands and is probably on a similar scale to the KaDeWe. We went in there to eat as the restaurant is said to be at the top. And indeed, there are a few window seats. The cocktails were quite good, although the aviation was a little too violent for me. Big recommendation, however, for the Red Velvet. And if you want to nibble something: the fries with truffle oil (don't look, you won't find any truffles) and parmesan were very tasty. But also quite salty, so the cocktails were just right. The service was extremely nice and helpful.
High class shopping mall with high prices comparing with other similar stores (same items), but the building looks impressive and you may find whatever you may think.
The place is decorated beautifully and you can spend good time just wondering around the 10 floors of shops. Too bad each item in any store is more than I have in my savings
Love the customer service. After working all day was too tired to walk around looking for item. Sales associate kindly asked if he could assist and retrieved my items.
