Visit this place for holiday season night. So beautiful light show.
During Christmas it is enchanting
I was visiting the shop windows with my girlfriend on our trip to New York. The most beautiful part are the animated windows decorated for Christmas with lots of themed music. The whole structure is decorated like a fairytale castle and in the windows the scenes of the cartoon Snow White by Walt Disney were re-proposed in chronological order on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of its release at the cinema. The interior is a classic department store like many others in the city.
Recommended during the Christmas holidays
I can't afford a key chain in here. But it's definitely a place that must be seen....
Although under deep renovations, still and again, if you want to see the line up of top top top A list designers this is the place to be. The sales help are classy, not pushy, go the extra mile to show you items you can find on their website. But lord, please, when will the loud banging and drilling be over? The assault of noise is bad enough on the city streets. I detest it inside too. The oldrr gentleman selling scarves, hats and gloves, he is charming old school elegance and I'd buy anything from him on the principle that this man got up, got himself groomed and handsomely dressed to go do business. I respect that and the department stores need many more of his ilk.... btw the array of handbags ... spectacular... as are the shoes... save me!!!!
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SAKS,I NEED MORE STUFF, FROM MY SAKS
Department stores competing with Macy's. Opposite Rockefeller Center on 5th Avenue. At Christmas they set up wonderful lights. Inside big fashion brands.
Luxury, avant-garde style, the most exclusive in wallets, shoes, and makeup ... A lust for baggy wallets!
I have to say I was shocked when I saw a price for 1,200 for a scarf ... something I can get at the .99 storw...but then again it was saks lol...i had to stop in and to see some people walking around there like their poop don't smell was funny and some of those outfits were from another planet ... some were really nice and the staff we ran into greeted us and were very nice the place was clean and nice for someone who has a ton o cash and wants to blow it ...i just enjoyed looking around
Huge departement store with luxury clothing. Nice to walk around. Bit expensive of course.
Best musical light show in manhattan during Christmas with jazz and Oprah playing in the Background all should visit once in a life time place
I love saks fifth Avenue they always have the lastest trendy stules
Amazing ... there are no words .... you have to see !!!!
Always a pleasure to shop at Saks. Special thanks to Helen.
Young lady with the pony tail n Green eyes was the best at Giorgio Armani...
def something to see when in nyc the shoe department is legendary!!
Dazzling Christmas light show in the early evenings of December. They also adorn the windows with colorful and elaborate decorations. If you are in town and need a place to get into the holiday mood or have the irresistible urge to shop, look no further.
I am a lover of getting a great deal and saks off 5th is perfect for that!
They have an endless selection of designer goods at great prices, the best time to go is when they have their buy 1--et 2 sale..They do it really cheap on clearance items which makes the prices just right.
Service is great, sign up for their card to save even more, one of my favorite places to shop
It's a gigantic Saks store. The staff helps a lot. Great place to buy from famous brands
Excellent experience! I had initially reached out to Barneys looking for a pair of Louboutin Shoes. I was told they had them in stock. Upon arriving at Barneys they said they hadn't had them in weeks. I came to Saks where I was greeted by Philip Salemi. He showed me multiple version of the shoe I was looking for. After listening to what I wanted, he suggested another style that I had no Idea about. They were perfect! I live in DC but will be coming to see Philip for my next pair! His knowledge of the shoes was fantastic. In addition to the excellent service, their selection is amazing. The rest of the associates I came in contact with were helpful and friendly as well.
Saks Fifth Avenue is so far from understanding what luxury customer service is, poor assistance provided by the online team and supervisors. They are so incompetent to solve and issue that is embarrassing...
Excellent service.
New fit out awesome.
Worst shopping experience ever. Items from my package was missing and no solution was provided after 1 month.
Beautiful to see the lights and music outside near Christmas. The store has only very expensive items but a huge selection of them. There's 10 floors focusing in women's fashion and jewelry with a smaller yet still abundant men's selection. It can get very crowded.
Recently have been shopping Saks online, but miss shopping in-store which is always a 5-star experience. Great selections. My top 3 list of places to shop for clothes and shoes in NYC.
Love to shop there. The sales persons were very kind
Holiday time best place. Visitore area. Easy to findout the place.Popular and busy area. Nice view. If u go over there you can see the rockefeller center, st.patrick cathedral , radio city , and nice building.food is avalable . price not very high, and most importent is transportation . transportation is avalable . you can walk also. But if you decided to walk then you need to follow the signal. Because its a busy area.
Lovely store but so annoying having staff harass you to try on lipsticks and perfumes when you just want to browse.
Love the new cosmetics and perfume floor! No need to go anywhere else especially if you want the original and classic Miss Dior, the only place in the city to purchase it.
Took my kids to NYC to see all the holiday window displays. Couldn't see Saks due to high security for the tree lighting. even tried going into the store to get to them. Despite all the chaos...& inability to let my kids see their display...store employees were so kind & polite!!
Great prices signatures A little 'over 20% compared to the normal distribution
Wicked expensive products, but quality products from massive brands. Their window display in Christmas is beautiful. Creates a traffic jam of people, but beautiful nonetheless.
Unprofessional staff that hunts clients in order to get a sale Poor communication skills Purchased items based in a git card promotion and the sales person lied to me in regards to the amount of gift card that I was about to receive
They made me open my bag so they could check it....NEVER going back
Great locations if you want to look at a good variety of bags, shoes, etc
Simply amazing. Just look at the sideboards / shop windows to have a good time.
You have to dress to impress when you go to this store. No surprise as it s a luxury store but still they will judge you by the way you re dressed, regardless your intentions to buy something or not. I like shopping here but there was a time when my friend and I dressed in a very simple way and we were being treated like kids (no attention, etc even though we did wanna buy some stuff), and when we came back, looking out best, suddenly we were being treated like queens. My guess is that people should pay attention to all customers no matter how they are dressed coz you never know...
Always ready to serve you. Alleging, attentive and help to transform your visit into something pleasant.
It s amazing to come during the holiday season to see the lights!
They canceled my online order for some strange reason, and said they would call me back in 24 h hours to fix this issue. It's been almost a week and still no phone call. I called them a couple of times, they said they would call back, and nothing, crickets. I'd rather buy next time from Bergdorf or Nordstroms.

If you are not immensely rich, you don't paint much in there. As a curiosity it is not bad to enter ..
I purchased a Fendi handbag at Saks in NY for my girlfriend in November, and Saks mailed it to me. Unfortunately, when she opened the original box at Christmas, she told me she had one very similar and wanted to exchange it. She called the Client Advisor who sold the handbag who said to send a photograph of the handbag and she would discuss with her manager. The photograph was sent and the Client Advisor then responded with a text stating that the handbag couldn't be returned because it was damaged, which was totally false. The handbag had only been out of the box once when it was opened at Christmas and was not damaged in anyway. We ultimately contacted a different Client Advisor who agreed the handbag was not damaged and agreed to assist my girlfriend in exchanging it.While we appreciate the assistance provided by the second Client Advisor, it was disappointing and frustrating that the first one would literally misrepresent the condition of the handbag and make no effort to assist us. My recommendation is to make sure, if at all possible, that the Client Advisor you're dealing with is reputable and not only interested in making a sale.
If you are looking for gifts I'm sure you can find what you are looking for here! Saks was decorated and lovely to see. I adored the windows outside but it was also gorgeous inside as well.
Had a great experience shoe shopping. The sales people were on their A game. The store had a sizable selection without crowding. We weren t especially dressed up or in high end apparel - no hint of snobbery. There was an odd experience where the shoe salesman asked if we had a picture of the person s toes that we were purchasing shoes for. We showed one and he advised us to go up 1/2 a size. Sure enough when we brought the shoes home - they fit perfectly. It was odd but apparently effective.
10 story of fashion... it is must visit store if you are looking for fashion brands. Dont other locations fool you, you would need at least half a day to see everything at the 5th avenue store.
Too big and confusing and a bunch of stuff nobody buys .
Even though I'm too broke for this store, they were very polite and excellent with their customer service!
Good experience. Has alot of designers that most stores don't have. Beautiful renovation but should have put floor numbers on elevator banks..
