Nice hotel arrived and we were given a standard room but had booked a superior, we were moved into a superior when we called reception, expensive breakfast and evening meals better to take a walk out to the array of restaurants and cafes on the south bank...room nice size and clean
Should have checked the reviews prior to booking. Rooms are very tired especially the bathroom . it's like they started the renovation and ran out of money. Staff very friendly though.

Had to cancel stay due to flight being cancelled. The Senior Duty Manager went out her way to help and refund. Very stressless experience. Wish i could say the same about the airline.
Best location on Southbank. Do yourself a favour and request room 1115 for the best views in the house and a wonderful belcony. Close to restaurants and the beach. Short walk over the bridge to all the CBD has to offer including the botanical gardens. Very comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly professional and helpful. Have stayed here twice now in recent years for special occasions. Would not stay anywhere else when in Brisbane. Can not wait to come back.
Rydges Southbank is centrally located and has a beautiful ambience throughout the hotel. We held our Indian-themed reception in the Podium Ballroom and it was the perfect space for any luxury event small or large. The ballroom is huge and has beautiful champagne pillars, gorgeous chandeliers and high ceilings. But what exceeded our expectations was the staff! From our Wedding Coordinator (Bec), to the Chefs (Justin & Laura) and the F&B staff (especially Zara). They all came with a gold standard in terms of hospitality and they really listened to what we wanted. It was a pleasure working and building our dream Reception along side you all at Rydges.
Rydges @ Southbank - should be booked for every Ethnic Luxury Wedding as their preferred choice of venue!

the stay was not pleasant. the hotel made the choice to accept quarantined guests which left a bad thought for any future visits to brisbane
Lovely hotel, very pleasant staff and a fantastic location. The gym is small but well equipped. 2 mins walk from the piazza and hundreds of other bars and restaurants.
Excellent service, beautifully styled bedrooms and a great location; many eateries and the South bank pools are just a little stroll away

The great location and well appointed building is starting to show a bit of age, but still just worth a four star rating. A little disappointing to find a shower over bath in a room that cost over $200 / night but everything else was pretty good.
Buffet breakfast in Baccus is definitely not worth the asking price but is ok when included in a package price.

Beautiful rooms and close proximity to the Brisbane Convention Centre made my work trip an enjoyable experience. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was very simple. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of sweet and savoury options. It was quite windy on the night I visited the Soleil Pool Bar (mostly covered open air) but the atmosphere was relaxed and casual.
Stayed for riverfire. Lovely hotel. Hectic for riverfire but they were well organised.

Amazing hotel experience. We only stayed for one night but would happily stay with Rydges South Bank again. Staff are very accommodating, rooms are clean and modern, very quiet and you can't hear the outside traffic. The beds are to die for and hands down the best bed I've ever slept in at a hotel in Australia.
Want to thank the team here at the rydges hotel, you all did an amazing job. We did our 14 day isolation here and the service was just amazing. Thank you all so much we will be back.

Location is great and the rooms are nice, if a little bare. Didn't have much to do with the staff but from what I saw they did their job well.
It was not our first stay at the hotel and we were very happy again with the service.
Valet parking was great, room was spotless clean, check out was very fast. We had dinner at Bacchus food was amazing and service was outstanding!!! Very attentive staff and especially we want to say thank you to Kevin who is just irreplaceable!!!
Only one thing on downside was that check in lady was a bit grumpy and not smiling at all but it didn t spoil our stay at all, we definitely will be back.
Room was great except for booming noise from pool area sat,/sun nights we did not find staff friendly at all breakfast expensive as was valet parking
We stayed earlier in the year and were a little disappointed. This visit was much better. Staff were friendly and inviting and the new renovations have regenerated the tired rooms. Overall a very pleasant experience.

I had booked the room as a present for my husbands birthday and ordered the decadence package, I did online check but couldnt get in the room at least 1 hour after time i said id arrive. The champagne and chocs arrived in the room only after we had gone out and returned to the room so the chocs were nice and warm. The staff tried to charge me for the breakfast and valet parking which I had to keep reminding them was part of the package. the room was lovely but wont stay again.
This venue is fantastic. The suite was spacious and well appointed. The staff are courteous and professional.

bad hotel. i will never stay there again. My travel agent made the booking for me. but without my authorization, they charge to my credit card directly. Now i have to make many phone calls and emails to get refund. It seems they are double-dipping. they asked the payment from my travel agent. and at the same time, without getting reply from my travel agent, they charged to my credit card. Bad behavior!
Great staff, clean room, great pool however pool closes at 6pm. They have a bar by the pool. Many Restaurants very close by. Great buffet breakfast.
Great hotel, good location at Southbank, close to QPAC, the river and the City. Recommended!
It was horrible they can t cook meals correct we also were waiting 2 hours for 2 pizza s that we ordered ages ago.
