Better than average for a 4star venue. Many options for dining and reasonable room service too.. Rooms are well-maintained and quiet. Good position for access to city and surrounds. Valet parking is available, but not selfparking.

10/5 stars if I could. Our AirNZ flight was cancelled last night due to engine issues so we were booked in here for the night. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they weren't phased by the bulk amount of people that rushed in and they were super clear and attentive to every single customer. Considering the flight situation was not ideal the Rydges staff definitely helped to make the best of a bad scenario. I WILL be back again. The cali kings were insanely comfortable too.

Went for High Tea at Bacchus and expectations were very much exceeded. Food was delicious and well presented plus our waiter was happy to answer our queries. Really informed and professional, I think his name was Kosta 10/10 would recommend.
Room is very comfortable and has all necessary features. Not many options for parking apart from valet. Restaurants are great, heaps of options. Hotel is located close to public transport and South Bank, very convenient to city and other restaurants and conveniences.

It's a very nice hotel to go through and stay at. Even though I came here for a business seminar in one of their seminar rooms, you can tell that they've kept this hotel neat and tidy. I've been to other hotels and Rydges South Bank is up there with their facilities and services. I'm even considering staying here to check out their hotel rooms and experience their services.
Had a nice experience here last week. Very friendly and helpful staff everywhere from concierge, housekeeping to the deputy manager. Great modern and clean decor. Very supportive of families. We had our 7 month old with us. They were always ready to help with anything asked. Good food. The only critic I can do is about the razor provided. They were not for shaving. But I would rather ignore that small irritant after having such a good experience.

Had an event here in July. The process from initial contact with Emily from the events team all the way through to the night itself was an excellent experience. The team on the night were very professional and prompt with the service of the food and drinks. They solved a couple of little issues that cropped up on the night with zero fuss. I would highly recommend an event here.

The hotel itself is tired and old. Terrible follow up service when personal effects were left behind. Items were found and then lost again with the hotel not phoning back when they said they would.
Room was clean, large and modern. Very nice. Bathroom tap is comically impractical but bathroom was very nice.
Valet service is understaffed in peak times and consequently very slow. Staff are very pleasant and accommodating.
Dozens of excellent restaurants are within walking distance.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here a lot.

looking for a place to dinner, i went walking up and down Grey street, but couldn't make my mind up. So i went back to eat at the hotels restaurant The Bachus.
i have never seen such an extended and full of quality wine/spirit menu total outstanding, the best from around of Australia and around the world.
food was great service not far behind, all in all a very good dinner choice.

The building is conveniently located just by south bank's parklands precinct. The interiors are beautifully decorated, and the staff are friendly.
Dinner at Bacchus was lovely, with good service and very interesting food. Although expensive it was a different and exciting experience. The complimentary tasting plates between courses were also a nice addition.

Very clean, presentable. Wonderful air-conditioning especially in Brisbane heat. Great location and view from the balcony.
Good restaurants and bars. Close to transport and Southbank. Clean and well run by professionals. My key gripe is the lifts. If you need to go up or down you can end up waiting for more than 10 minutes.

I attended a event at Rydges I did have a coffee and staff members seemed friendly and helpful, place was clean and visually a goodlooking hotel I will return for dinner, something I wouldn't have done previously.
It was a great experience except for a few things. I found the bathroom to be quite small for a suite and the balcony very plain and not a very 5 star experience. Also the bed and the pillows weren't the most comfortable. But I am being really picky because I have stayed at other 5 star venues. Other than that it was a fantastic experience and a great stay.
Very pleased with the hotel and the service provided. Arrived at the hotel early to try my luck and check-in. I was provided with an early check-in which made my work trip hassle free. The service throughout my stay was very enjoyable and I would happily stay at Rydges South Bank again.

Food at the sit down event was highly regarded by the table, however the biggest quip was with the Soleil bar. Drinks were very dear, and a number of options on the menu were unavailable. Staff however were knowledgeable and willing to suggest alternatives

We were staying overnight as we had an early hospital visit at LLCH, and being from out of town, this made it easier. My family and I had an excellent stay - the room was beautiful, comfortable and extremely clean. The service we received at reception and valet was magnificent, accomodating and friendly. We felt that for the quality of the stay we had, including the location to local attractions, we definitely got value for our money. We have a follow up hospital visit in 6 months and will be staying here again. Top marks all around

We are in hotel quarantine right now, to rid us from our Melbourne germs. So we didn't get a choice of where we were sent. We were so worried after hearing horror stories of others forced into 2 weeks of hotel hell, but have been completely blessed to have been given room 715 in this wonderful hotel. Everything from the location, views, room size and food has been superb. Our 6 year old believes we are in heaven and I don't argue with her logic. The staff are working very hard to keep their guests and themselves safe and still cared for. Everything has been excellent.
We are only 2 days in, but we are grateful and will likely stay again in the future - in a less "forced" to be here manner.
Thank you to both the Rydges in Southbank for still going the extra mile for guests, and to the QLD govt for sending my two mum and 6 year old family to such a great place.
