Excellent food and service as usual. Thank you for a lovely time.

I attended not as a guest but only to collect a friend. Despite that I was treated with the utmost respect by the staff.

Plenty of choice for snacking or dining. Fantastic atmosphere and location by river Thames. Staff very helpful and approachable.

I stayed at the Runnymede for 2 nights on a business trip. Great facilities, gym, spa, pool and the hotel is placed next to the river where I went for a run in the morning. Beautiful!

A really great hotel, staff are excellent, rooms of a good quality and food is lovely. One of the best 4* places around. Great location just off the M25 (but you would not know it!)

Fabulous position by the Thames. Close to Runnymede with 800 plus years of history. Stayed here some years ago and the rooms were lovely. Only downside is the noise of the traffic from the nearby M4.

A well run hotel right by the River Thames. Used it for my 60th birthday lunch, great choice of food and lovely environment. Family members with demanding work lives have used it for an annual break for the last 12 years while we have their kids!

Had a glass of wine in the garden. Great service and a beautiful location. Could have stayed all day.

Service, facilities, food and staff are superb at this hotel, leaving me with a warm feeling as I checked out last weekend.

One day later that feeling was destroyed when I saw that the hotel had charged me for accommodation and contingent expenses as I checked in, and then charged the real cost on checkout.

Now of course eventually the hotel would return the first payment made as I checked in, but what made this event so painful, is that this triggered a warning from my bank (Monzo) that I was overdrawn and to stop using the card. This is the first time I have been overdrawn on any account for over 25 years, and the effect was very unpleasant.

I believe the hotel has a duty of care to warn clients that this could happen. When I phoned the hotel, they reassured me that I would only have to wait 2 weeks for the refund, blaming the card issuer rather than the hotel for the situation.



I suspect the hotel will blame the bank, and the bank will blame the hotel, but can I suggest to the hotel that you place the following warning to all guests as they check in.

"Sadly this hotel attracts the kind of guests that cannot be trusted to pay their bills. We will therefore charge you the full amount as you check-in, and charge you a second time as you leave, thereby fully protecting the interests of the hotel and caring little for the effect this has on our guests if they subsequently find out they are overdrawn."

Super Hotel. Personal very smiling and listening. Good for this rest.

All day meeting with buffet lunch. Great food and plenty of snacks/coffee all day long. Perfect venue.

Was taken here for afternoon tea around Easter time and all the food was presented beautifully. We were sat by glass windows so had a nice view while we enjoyed the food and a long selection of teas. As it was Easter, there was a little carrot cake topped with icing carrot, purple macarons, a rasberry-biscuit layered creation and they made a real effort with the vegetarian sandwich. Great service too

The food was very good plenty of choice seafood,cold food, Carvery and puddings yum highly recommended if your willing to spend more, staff was very helpful.

Beautiful hotel set on a serene and lovely landscape. The inside is as cosy as the outside. It appears to be very popular for meetings as the foyer was packed with people holding meetings and noisy

It looked lovely but it was too busy to stay- no seats available so we left quite soon. The plane looked fab though, very quirky and not too posh.

Great spa facilities. The staff in the hotel restaurant were rude and unhelpful though and the food is overpriced.

The only way I can describe my whole experience of the Runnymede was just outstanding. From the excellent service to fantastic evening meal, breakfast and spa facilities. I will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

Very well organised and accessible place. They provide generous meals and for economical rates. I enjoyed the menu a lot and the staff were super amiable and chatty. Will definitely recommend this place.

Had to be moved from our table indoors and then a leaf blower man cleared the area ourside and we could not hear ourselves think.

The restaurant had excellent selections of food. The lock on the river behind hotel was interesting to walk and see. Rooms were comfortable and service was good!

I really enjoyed my 60 minutes Aromatherapy full body massage at the spa today. Wanted to recommend Jodie who did my massage, she paid great attention to all the knots and tightness in my back and shoulders whilst also making sure it was relaxing for me. Thank you Jodie.

Fantastic Location, Great Walk Along The River Thames With Lock & Weir Next To Hotel . Staff Very Helpful and Went The Extra Mile To Make Sure We Were Happy With Everything. Lounge Menu & Wine List Good. Especially Having A Nice Bottle of Champagne With The River Thames As A Backdrop. With The Coffee & Deserts Creme Brulee The Best To Finish Did Not Disappoint . Have Stayed Overnight Before With Breakfast on The Terrace Overlooking The River is A Fantastic Way To Start The Day.

Good place for meetings. Nice lobby/lounge to meet people for business. Parking available and convenient to M25, A30 and Heathrow. It does get quite busy at times and service can be a bit impacted as a result but staff are polite.

Used to visit the restaurant frequently before we moved.
Stayed overnight during early October.
Had to switch rooms last minute to accommodate my disabled husband , as
we needed a walk in shower not a bath, they were happy to switch on a few hours notice .Dinner was fantastic, Lucia was definitely the hostess with the mostest.
Well organised buffet breakfast during covid restrictions.

I went for a full spa day, a birthday present from my husband.
I was very disappointed with whole experience.
No one greets you upon arrival.

I consider this to be extortionate.. Tray bake wasn't a healthy option as one would have expected but rather it was 2 small pieces of "Rocky Road"!! When was rocky road considered to be a, tray bake.. It was melted, chocolate with few broken bits of rich tea biscuits and marshmallows... Which requires no baking!!
Lunch options were extremely poor, baked jacket potatoes, cold sandwiches and salads.. Which one would expect from your local cafe, or Nothing which one would consider to be gourmet or of the standard one would expect from a hotel if this calibre! The salad was served with no dressing.. Not very tasty.
Although refreshments were available throughout the day. The coffees were dispenses from a machine with a yuck!! Although fruit was available most of the day.. But it was very difficult to find a piece as their members were exceptionally greedy and selfish, the moment fruit was replenished it was grabbed.. I found their members to be inconsiderate.
In respect of the facilities, the gym was very small, not many machines and no space for a stretch. The water dispensing machines were extremely dirty and rusty and had mould growing on it. The rest area was dirty with wet dirty towels lying around.
In respect of the massage and facial not very impressive a 90min massage was finished in under 80 mins.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Range of food excellent and food is excellent too. Surroundings are good. We were very fortunate to have a table by the window overlooking the Thames. Although it was busy, the dishes were replaced quickly.

Nice Hotel. Apparently I had one of the newer rooms and so enjoyed my stay very much. The rooms were comfortably sized, great internet access and the food/ambiance was great. Very busy Hotel with lots going on.. a definite place to stay if in the area!

Very nice although was surprised regarding the service charge the waitress did say she would take the charge off. I would have left more to be honest but there was just the two of us party of six I can understand. Rant over

Visited for afternoon tea and we definitely weren't disappointed. The food was lovely and fresh and there was plenty of it. The staff were friendly and efficient. Fantastic value for money.

Some staff really good care about self job, but servise i so slow .so many waiters and hard working just two or three person.other ones just time waster at work don't care about costumer's everyone looking each other eyes to eyes and waiting some one do something for costumer !!Section chiefs and managers are disorganized!i eas waiting nelly one hour and no one came to me to take an my next order very disapointed

I had a wonderful celebration Sunday lunch with my family. Social distancing was discreet and the staff were so helpful. The food was great, as always.

Lovely hotel, was here for a conference but the grounds and decor are brill. Can't complain, if I didn't live locally I'd probably choose to stay here. Good spa facilities too

Food is good, hospitality as well. Big cons are very small rooms, and definitely renovation is needed.

I went forma works drink one evening, lovely location, very well presented, attentive staff, clean facilities. I didn't stay in a room so can't comment.

Excellent hotel and spa. Great staff, food, rooms and facilities. It backs on to the river so the views and walks are fantastic. A brilliant location right both right next to the m25, the river and Runnymede forest! The outside frontage doesn't look too impressive but don't let that put you off!
