Can skip pachinko if your group doesn't have extremely precise ball-balancing-on-a-wooden-stick control skills.
Fairly expensive (like 30 plus tax) per person (even though it's the same one room for an hour). Non ninja rooms have abstract puzzles and trivia which can be difficult. They give tips if needed

We were in the prisoner room. The room was fun and our group enjoyed it, however, my issue was that there was not a lot of context behind the room. We've been to many escape rooms were there was plenty of story behind the room which helps with the immersion. That being said the clues were fun and challenging.
Another issue I had was with the employee who helped us. There wasn't much excitement with her. Other escape rooms the employees were enthusiastic, happy we were there, and afterwards asked us how we liked it/what could be done better.
My hubby and I went here on one of our first dates. We then went back for a second, third and fourth and completed all of the rooms for two people! It is tons of fun and you really learn who you work well with. Staff is super friendly and always gave us extra time if needed to complete the rooms. Our favorite was the airplane one and the butcher's one! Very interactive and thrilling. Good idea for a first date if you want to know how well you get along. We got married so it worked for us hahah.
Very well designed escape room with logical puzzles, very realistic features and challenging puzzles. Conveniently located in a bustling part of the city. We are looking forward to coming back and completing the other rooms!
Just did the Final Destination 2.0, and it was amazing! The set and puzzles were incredible! I had done the butcher basement and the ninja in the past, and the rooms were awesome. Can t wait to try their hardest room, back to the mummy!
Awesome place, very friendly staff, it was our first time, we had so much fun in the butcher's room, it's evident that a lot of work goes into planning escape rooms, the puzzles were challenging, but the experience is very addictive, I am so impressed, I would recommend it to everyone. I am determined to try them all!!! and it is right downtown, how convenient.
We did the Mummy room which was excellent and rated a beginner level then went over to The Butcher which is one of the advanced rooms. The puzzles good and logical, though The Butcher did involve complex problem solving. I would suggest paying very close attention to instructions both in the video and in the rooms. Good luck!!
What a fantastic experience! Staff were really friendly and the room was well designed. A group of four of us did the butcher's basement room and it was fun, yet challenging. We were able to walk in and they even gave us extra time, after our allotted time was over. Will definitely come back and try the other rooms.
Let me start by saying that myself and my friends are certainly not new to escape rooms. We've done more than 30 around the Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Kingston and Toronto regions. We did the Airplane room (I think it's called Final Destination) at Roundabout Toronto. So, the bad: This is by far the worst escape room (and the most expensive, with tax, about $30 a head!) I've ever done. The set inside the room definitely needs work - it looks like other people have been rough on things, and there is visible damage. More over, the space inside was small - as six people, we were way cramped and some people felt like they were in the way/didn't get to do anything. In terms of innovation, this room is pretty simplistic (what you see is what you get, there aren't other rooms to discover) and the puzzles are very much 'figure out a combination and put it into a lock'- type. Having done other escape rooms, I've seen some pretty cool and innovative ideas - these weren't in this room. I mean, the plane is supposed to be careening into the ground - should the plane not shake? Should there not be screams on the audio? Should we not see something when we look out the windows? We were pretty disappointed and wouldn't recommend this room to budding escape artists. There's lots of cool escape rooms out there - this wasn't one! The good: um...they had lockers? And the memes on the walls were funny? So there's that ;)
Anne Marie and Brittney were highly skilled and incredibly friendly. Great customer service I was astonished by the escape room in the ninja room was good too
The Mummy was challenging (it's their most difficult room), but I enjoyed it! Neat tomb-themed puzzles and decor.
We would never have been able to solve it on our own though. They give you a walkie talkie to ask for hints and we must've called them 8x. Also we went way over the 45min, thankfully there was no booking after us so they let us keep playing.
Also note, while the mummy is minimum 2 people, some rooms like the Ninja are minimum 3 people required to book. So while choosing be aware of how many ppl you have
The room was very well designed with realistic aspects to the puzzles. Not only was the room very fun but the workers were great and very kind. I highly recommend!
The escape activity was awesome, we succeeded and when we got out, no one was there to greet us. We waited about 5 mins and decided to go to the front desk and all 3 members of the staff were on their phones, lot even paying attention to what was going on, which took most of the fun out of it. ZERO customer service.
My friends and I played the mummy last Sunday and we loved the room and the staff were more than helpful and engaging. After we finished the mummy the guy suggest that we play the prisoner as it would propose a fun challenge. We came back to play that room an hour later and were not disappointed. Despite our struggle and constant requests for hints the staff always seemed to be smiling and happy when they came to help us and the room was a lot of fun and great in concept.
Played "prisoners" with 3 friends. It was quite difficult, especially for 1st timers like us. We passed the 1hr time limit but they were kind enough to let us to play on. Had a great experience, very chill and straight forward. Good safety measures in case you are not comfortable and want to leave the game. Hella fun with a group of friends.
Amazing time with my friends in prisoner, very challenging puzzles, but with the help of passionate and knowledgeable staff, we escaped! Can't wait to coce back to try y the other rooms!
i went around a month ago and it honestly wasn't an outstanding experience. there were technical issues with our room that even the staff couldn't fix. there's barely any space to wait in the reception area, and the customer service was mundane. plus its so pricey for what you get
We had a booking a few days prior for 7:55 Friday (tonight). Once on arrival we were told they gave a group before an extra 30 mins. Had we been late we would be charged full Price. Not sure what business GIVES customers extra time when there is strict booking. Needless to say we didn't wait as we had other plans that we're timely scheduled as this booking should have been over by the time they offered us a new start time. Won't be back here again!
Butcher's basement was a great puzzle. All 4 of us enjoyed it. Rena at the front desk also provided top notch service, especially with the photo ops after!
Terrible customer service. Selfish employees and even worse management. I was given terrible customer service and treated with the most disrespect. I do not recommend at all. And will never consider going here ever. Save your time and your money folks!
Wow this place is terrible, dirty broken held together with ducktape rooms, most locks didn't work, 3 of the 5 flashlights didn't work. Don't waste your time it's pretty bad
The service was great when we arrived for our reservation for Ninja. We arrived late but was still given the full alotted time even though there was another team waiting after us. Strongly recommend!
Roundabout is absolutely my favorite escape room in Toronto! Their puzzles actually makes a lot of sense compare to other escape rooms. My family did Ninja and it was absolutely amazing! Loved it!
Customer service was not really good. No involvement in the description of the storyline and not everything was in place. We only tried the ninja room, it was not really difficult. Room for seven, we did it with only four people. And not so much of multiple enigma to resolve at the same time. Hope it is better for the other rooms.
Did the mummy room with three friends and it was great! Went a little bit overtime but we did manage to escape. Had a lot of fun here - would recommend.
Its amazing place to go and have, me and my friend we went 2 days and had lots of fun we escape the ninja room in 37 min but the mummy room was little bit hard but still escaped in 50 min. The was amazing
I've been to many escape rooms. We did the butcher's basement room. It was spooky, but as an escape room, very lazily created. The problems were all the same (4 digit push lock). Even though we escaped in 45 mins, we didn't even need to complete all the problems. Walked out feeling very unsatisfied.
We did the Mummy room. It was not enjoyable. We completed the room, but found every puzzle to be ridiculously complicated with absolutely no fluidity between them. The logical leaps you had to make in order to solve the puzzles made absolutely zero sense and in such a small escape room it completely ruined the experience. I would give examples but I fear it would ruin the room. Also, the story is given through a prerecorded message, but this was difficult to hear so we had no idea what was going on. When we finished we had no idea since we couldn't hear anything. The staff, in their attempt to not provide too much information, failed to provide meaningful clues when asked - although this is more a fault of the room than the staff. I would not recommend this room to anybody and would definitely suggest visiting other locations instead of this one.
We had previously done Final Destination which was very enjoyable. I cannot recommend the Ninja room though - very few puzzles; just one dexterity challenge that seemed to be there entirely to use up lots of time. We finished in 35 minutes and were convinced we'd missed out a section. Really didn't feel like we'd got our money's worth from the experience. Also one puzzle didn't work and we needed to call to get a staff member to manually unlock it.
I also don't really like the sort of hint system where you have to explain to the staff member what you're stuck on before they can help you. In most escape rooms, the game master is paying enough attention that they can give you hints without this extra step.
We were planning to do a second room there in the same trip, but decided unanimously against it.
Great place! Great staff! Had great time! It was my first escape room experience and it was awesome. We had so much fun!! People working there are friendly and helpful. Loved the place.
Staff was very kind, place was clean. Decor was great, with good puzzles. Only issue is that multiple components were not properly working (many attempts with staff help to work one component, another component triggered early and led us down the wrong path then staff had to reset it, and another one had to be lined up in an unclear way that just wasted time), and one clue was poorly worded, where if followed correctly you were unable to fine the clue. Has the potential to be a fun little room, but instead was just frustrating.
When we buzzed for clues, it took between 10 and 20 minutes for an employee to come and give one. We were over by 20 minutes with no indication because they forgot to start the clock. The props and clues were good.
Butchers was actually a decent room and a fun time, but I can't recommend this place to anyone because of my experiences in their other rooms. Mummy required convoluted logical leaps to solve almost every puzzle and neither Prisoner nor Diamond were set up properly. Diamond actually had two locks lock us out for more than an hour which was an odd choice given the time limit, but none of the tech worked anyways. Recieved no apologies or offer for refunds. If you have to do one here, go for butcher's, but your money is better spent elsewhere.
Very nice and had variety of options. Pretty hard, we tried the butcher room which was very entertaining and challenging. Very nice and helpful staff as well. Wouldve come again but changed my mind big time because after I left they went out of their way to call me and ask me to change my rating (originally) from 4.9 to 5 -_- that's not cool, if you're just really good you shouldn't have to beg for ratings, which I personally found weird.
Did "The Ninja" (one of the harder rooms) as a group of 4 and found it quite challenging. There are no locks in this room and the puzzles fairly unique. Well done on creating this room. Staff was great too.
Played the airplane. Its reallly coool! staffs there are really nice and helpful. i liked how they would explain the locks for us om how to use them (: thank you Queenie for everything!(i think thats how u spell it).
We did the butchers basement. The room design itself was good but there was one lock that was not reset from the previous group. We spent SO much time with a combo that wasn t working on anything. When we called for help, the game master had no idea where we were. When we explained it she told us which lock the code would open. Except it was already open. Would not go back.
Completed the airplane room. This is an excellent room for beginners. Setting is well done and puzzles are linear. As veteran escapers, it was easy for us, buy hey, it was declared a room for beginners afterall. We enjoyed the theme and atmosphere a lot! Had a quick chat with the staff, they said they are in the middle of revamping the puzzles of the room; the "new" room will be geared towards beginner/intermediate level.
I've done all the escape rooms here I love them all, multiple rooms in a game and amazing decorations, especially the plane one wow, I really enjoyed these rooms and found them challenging as well.
FUN! We did the MUMMY room, which was advanced and challenging. We needed clues, but still felt rewarded when we won . We had fun, which was the most important. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
I have done 4 of the 5 rooms at this venue and I enjoyed none of them. I did Mummy first, which had some puzzles that were not well designed and required leaps of logic. I did Final Destination second which was not set up properly (the set up list was left in the room) and also the puzzles weren't particularly logical either. I did Prisoner third and parts of the room just were not set up properly, which meant we wasted time solving things that could not be solved and had to ask for a clue to find out what was wrong. Last, I did Diamond Creed and it was the worst of them all. The tech didn't work and not even the GM knew what to do with it. I also got physically injured on a piece of equipment and was told to just "be more careful". The positives? Nice sets and I've heard the one room I haven't done (Butcher) is actually decent but I haven't the heart to try it. My group received no extra time, apologies or offers for a refund after having such poor experiences. My advice is save your money and you'll get a better room escape experience elsewhere.
Way too expensive. We did all their rooms, because we enjoy escape rooms. Their tech failed multiple times and the staff put in minimal effort. The service provided is not worth the amount you pay. Go somewhere else.
Awesome experience! Did the prison room and was impressed by the decor. Puzzles were challenging; we needed few clues. We were very close to finishing on time probably cos we got too excited and caught up in the atmosphere. Great team building experience. Will def go back to play the rest of the rooms soon! 5 stars for friendly staff too!
Was here for final destination with four others. Several things went wrong: - we were told doors would automatically open and not to push anything. The first puzzle we solved quickly but the door did not automatically open, wasting over ten minutes until someone pushed it and it opened. - the space was really cramped for 5 people, so some had to constantly shuffle around while others worked on the clues. more like a 3 person game but they attempt to squeeze more $ out of customers by saying 6 max - the second last puzzle was broken and we were stuck there for over ten minutes until our time ran out. Queenie, the host, tried to walk us through; when she was unable to, due to it being broken, she told us we "beat" the game. - as this was a very dissatisfying end, we asked for a partial refund and was told we would likely not get a response but to wait a few weeks. Well... It's been a few weeks. - overall the puzzles were ok but the lack of customer service and broken components really ruined the experience.
Awesome way to spend an hour! My husband and I love doing escape rooms whenever we travel and the Final Destination room at Roundabout did not disappoint! Would happily return whenever we're in the area.
went for "the prisoner" with other 2 friends! Though we didnt get out in the end haha , it is definitely a greate experience! ! well designed puzzles and wonderful decor!! came back for the "Ninja" as well which provides a completely different experience that both intriguing and exciting. The stuff are super nice and helpful as well~ stronly recommend!
My husband and I just did the Butcher's Basement and it was incredibly hard, but extremely fun. At first, we were really frazzled so we couldn't figure out what to do, but we eventually got into the rhythm of it. So fun! We're definitely going back to try the other rooms.
Interesting escape room, but unfortunately it was only one room. I've been to a few other escape rooms in Kingston and London, and definitely prefer the ones with more than one room in the puzzle!
Otherwise, the staff are friendly enough, and even gave us a few more minutes to finish solving the puzzles!
