Let me start by saying that myself and my friends are certainly not new to escape rooms. We've done more than 30 around the Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Kingston and Toronto regions. We did the Airplane room (I think it's called Final Destination) at Roundabout Toronto. So, the bad: This is by far the worst escape room (and the most expensive, with tax, about $30 a head!) I've ever done. The set inside the room definitely needs work - it looks like other people have been rough on things, and there is visible damage. More over, the space inside was small - as six people, we were way cramped and some people felt like they were in the way/didn't get to do anything. In terms of innovation, this room is pretty simplistic (what you see is what you get, there aren't other rooms to discover) and the puzzles are very much 'figure out a combination and put it into a lock'- type. Having done other escape rooms, I've seen some pretty cool and innovative ideas - these weren't in this room. I mean, the plane is supposed to be careening into the ground - should the plane not shake? Should there not be screams on the audio? Should we not see something when we look out the windows? We were pretty disappointed and wouldn't recommend this room to budding escape artists. There's lots of cool escape rooms out there - this wasn't one! The good: um...they had lockers? And the memes on the walls were funny? So there's that ;)
