Rosati’s Pizza Review

I asked for an order of wings (flats) and slice of pizza placed for deli every. I was told it would take between 25-30 mins. Delivery guy showed up a hour and some mins later with only my wings. I asked him where was my pizza and he claimed I only paid for the wings which was a lie. I parted ways with him, called the rosatis back and told them the delivery guy didn t bring my pizza. I checked my wings which were hit and not all flats like I asked. The girl tried to say I didn t ask for the pizza but charged my card for pizza and wings, I disagreed and she instantly put me on hold without informing me. I was on hold for 3 mins then she finally got back on the phone to tell me I d have to wait for the delivery guy to return for my pizza that should ve been here 30 mins ago! My pizza finally came... it was very good, but with that experience I will never order from them again. She didn t even apologize for the inconvenience she caused me. They need better workers with better customer service skills.

I think I could get better pizza at the 7 11 across the street.

Ordered for delivery and was told 45 minutes to an hour, which is standard and expected. After an hour and twenty minutes I called to inquire, was told the driver was en route......15 minutes later I called again, Sat on hold for 8 minutes. Carlos (the manager) informed me that our delivery guy got caught in traffic due to protests, however the delivery driver didn't follow the instructions of which the delivery sequence was suppose to go. Carlos, you should hire team members that care about having a job, there are plenty of people in need! Naturally I'm suree you could predict that the end result was that food would be delivered an hour and 45 minutes later COLD! Not the case, after speaking with the delivery driver, number provided by the store, his first claim was that he would be there in one minute, then said 60 second, them in conversation about how long ago this was expected he told me he came and called but no one answered!!!!! I am in a high rise with a door guy! Driver claims "he didn't talk to the door guy"
Food never came!!!!!! Outrageous!

Had it been told to me delivery would be almost 2 hours I, a) would have opted for pick up or, b) gone with a different pizza place....... There are plenty to choose from and my experience is that most want your business!
I also believe that the single star is to much! Unfortunately it was the only option to be allowed to express the challenge!

In regard to your reply--trump protests....... I live .7 miles away! It is no longer about the wait but the horrific communication and service provided! I have waited on hold for over 20 minutes combined, I have been lied to by thedriver and store manager, the food has still not arrived. It is almost 2.5 hours later!

I will be sure to put forth every effort to ensure your star rating remains below 3 and that every building in the south loop is strongly informed of why any other pizza place would be the better option.

Absolutly aweful. Waiting an hour and 15 minutes for one deep dish pizza. Delivery driver was very rude when he got here. Pizza had about 8 pounds of watery tomato sauce on it and barely any meat on it. WORST PIZZA MY FRIENDS AND I HAVE EVER HAD. Disgusting....

Though it's cold as an ice box in there, what makes up for it 10 fold is the food.... Hands down great taste, different slices for the days of the week...at a great price...

DO NOT go to this location! The management is terrirble and RUDE. The manager Karla E. is awful. I m not sure who gave her a position in management but she needs a refresher course in what customer service looks and sounds like.

Horrible experience! First of all we walk in smells really bad, then the cashier and the owner are rude to next level :(. Order food ask for bathroom they said not till the transaction is complete, then he had audacity to slame the receipt and pen on the counter for me to sign. Food was really nasty aswell! Never going here again!

Great place to eat pizza .im surprised to see some bad reviews , we never had any bed experiance. The entire staff is very friendly and always quick service.

Great experience. We went there for one of my friends birthday. While we were ordering, we told them this and then owner himself, served her a delicious walnut cake piece and 2l bottle of pepsi free. The food quantites are huge. We had to box the food, boxes are small and required two of them for half pizza to fit in. Lasagna pasta is good only when it was hot. Onion rings are little oily but taste is good. All the rest appetizers were awesome. I loved the chessy garlic bread. They take time in delivering the food. We had to wait for over 20 mins for just appetizers to come in. It was a Saturday night so we it was justified. Great taste, little wait time but overall wonderful experience.

Order was incorrect and all my toppings were wrong but the pizza was pretty good. in fairness their A/C was not working so everyone was grumpy and sweaty.

Me and the family went hang out with her cousins this was a great experience for us!

We ordered this pizza while staying at the Palmer House Hilton we ordered the classic combo pizza they forgot the black olives and the pizza was cold by the time we got it. For the most part the pizza is okay we paid 30.00 for a medium which was quite big for a medium pizza.

The pizza was decent. Cashier was nice & restaurant was clean.

They try to over charge you for anything they can!!!! If you have a coupon they try to charge you 7 dollars for toppings. They may try to take less than 4 dollars for free delivery. They will nickel and dine you anyway possible plus delivery is over an hour 9-10 times. I WILL NEVER order from here again

They steal your money

Absolutely terrible and I didn t even get to taste the food! Ordered for delivery and after 1 hour they decided to tell me my order is canceled!! This location is just terrible.

Never order delivery unless through a third party like Uber Eats or Postmates. DO NOT ORDER THROUGH GRUBHUB OR OVER THE PHONE UNLESS FOR PICK UP! The drivers have bad attitude most of the time the order always gets messed up or an item is "forgotten".

Very concerned here! I stopped in while working delivering your pizza in fact 2 min down the road on may street. Just before that I also bought a slice to go.. The cashier was very abrasive and not friendly but he seemed pre occupied with something ...

The pozza he gave me was from a pan that had been sitting there clearly cheese was hard and not to standard to serve.. I bit into the pizza it was a nightmare!

I went back as i was right down the street. I asked the cashier for a fresh slice from the second pan that was fresh and looked like the other pies in the holder..

There was a African American gentleman asking what the issue was and I told him the pie he was trying to served was hard and congealed and needed to be tossed.

He instead of being concerned about cold pizza, argued that its his product and he decides to throw it away or not. If the cashier didnt agree would he have kept it otherwise NO. He poked at it and jist prior served the fresh pizza to the guest in front as
The other guest and I exchanged looks..

The manager or whomever he was then threatened to give me a bad rating on UBER .. I am not with uber .. but this ALL IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS PRESENT because I respectfully stood up for good service and freshness! WOW!!

He then pushed me out the door because I got a slice that had actual warm cheese on it...

Disappointed and will contact corporate offices this cant be the standard..

Waited for almost an hour for two slices of pizza. When they say 20 min till your order is done, they min 3 x 20 min. Enjoyed the experience of sitting into Rosati s dinning room and just waiting while everyone else picks up there order!

Overpriced chicken wings. You barely get meat on them and we were waiting 40 minutes for a SMALL pizza. Only thing good was the free drinks we got.

This was my first time ordering from Rosati's. I was very worried after I hit submit on GrubHub because the reviews on Google and Yelp were terrible reviews. Here is my experience: Pizza was delivered six minutes before the delivery window I was given. Awesome! Driver called and said he was outside, I met him on the sidewalk because we had a few inches of snow that day and I always feel bad making people drive in not the best weather conditions just because I want to eat a fat cheesy pizza. Sorry delivery drivers! But again, awesome. Opened the pizza box and touched it, it was hot on the verge of warm, but hot enough for my liking, so awesome once again! Also, I used a coupon and got a free 2 Liter of Pepsi for a purchase of $15 or more. 12" pepperoni double dough pizza was about $21+ and they gave me the Pepsi which went awesome with the pizza. Also, I wasn't sure what to expect from the double dough, but it was like thick crust, but a bit more dough and not hard, just on the edge of doughy, but I really liked it. Overall, awesome experience and will order again and hope I get the same experience next time.

I came in five times today and each time the cashier Carla was rude unprofessional and disrespectful I.mean the foods.good but their customer service sucks maybe it's just carla.. do better rosatis

We ordered from GrubHub .The fettuccine alfredo was fantastic. The chicken in it was perfection .My biggest complaint was the garlic bread. It tasted like it had been left under a heat lamp all day and was hard. Super disappointed in that

Terrible customer service, they charge me for three sandwiches and only gave me 2. had I not check it myself they would have gotten away with it leaving me with over priced sandwiches

These guys didn't deliver half of what we ordered, and then saidthey woukd bring the other half and never did.

Delivered incorrect order and refused to process refund. A fresh training on customer service is due for this team.

I would have put no stars but it wasn't possible. I love the food no questions about it but the service is possibly the worst I've ever had. I asked one simple question and the response I get is condescending and the answer is them telling me "This is Rosati's" which tells me absolutely nothing. Someone needs to train the workers on customer relations.

Never Even Received The Food! Would Give 0 Stars If I Could!! Ordered a pizza around 2am and was told it would be arriving in an hour. NEVER RECEIVED THE PIZZA! Contacted the store the next day requesting a refund and the store manager literally argued on the phone with me, saying that the driver came to the hotel and the front desk called the room but no one answered so that's not his problem and he won't refund the money. That's a complete lie! Even the hotel staff stated that no one ever came to the hotel with a delivery. The manager is completely unprofessional and needs to learn some customer service skills. I will never order pizza from this place again and I suggest others shouldn't either. I also have disputed the $35 charge on my debit card for food that I never received. 0 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I walked in, of course no one was around, just like other reviews had described. I politely asked for a extra warmed plain slice and before I knew it, the man working there just threw a plain slice into a slice box. No thank you's or any kind words after I paid. Pizza was barely warm and was semi ok in taste. I don't think I'll be coming back here. Disappointed in this location completely especially that a slice goes for 4 bucks and up.

Staff is unprofessional. I've made two orders one was delivery and they handed me the wrong order and wasnt able to give me what i ordered. I did get my refund. Then placed an order again to pick up and the young lady had a attitude like she didnt want to serve anyone. Poor presentation. Not a happy customer lol

Always get quick, friendly service at this location. Also great that it's open late because some of the other spots nearby literally get packed around the block.

I couldn't believe all the bad ratings about the staff, and I love rosatis pizza too much so I had to take the chance. For humanities sake get someone more intelligent to answer your phones, either your phones suck, the girl is hard of hearing or clearly isn't the brightest crayon in the box. Pizza is stupidly high priced for a average size pie, terrible service over the phone, drinks are expensive and have a very small selection, and a long wait for delivery!

Got a slice of Cheese Pizza.

There s something unique about a semi-fresh slice of pizza that just works. It wasn t old, it was still warm and exquisite, but it was at the point where the bubbly moist top of the cheese toughens up just enough to where it doesn t stretch as easily but the sauce is still warm and juicy.

I know what you re thinking, it sounds odd, but the crust of the pizza, unlike many places, finds the sweet spot between chewiness and crispiness that gives a good bite and a great chew. The semi cooled cheese, similar to a rested steak, is now infused with the combined flavors of the Italian seasoning and sauce which increases the flavor profile.

By the time you get to the last bite, you re usually left with bland crust on many pizzas. No so this pizza, it has a perfectly subtle and supportive flavor profile that allows it to taste great by itself, yet not over-compete with the cheese and sauce.

Job well done. Will come back for more.

I dont even want to leave one star, this is how bad Rosatis on Halstead is for Delivery. I called at 3:56 PM on a Friday during Covid Shutdown so there were no people dining inside. I put a order in for two dinners and two sides and they told me 55 minutes which is fine but then it got to 90 minutes and no food, I called and they told me the driver was already out to deliver. 120 minutes goes by and I called again and again they told me the driver was on his way so this time I argued with them and they couldn't care less, they could have told me the truth or even gave me a discount on the deliver, nothing. It's another 30 minutes after and still no delivery. I'm gonna let the driver show up and tell him to take it back, DONT EVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.

I ordered pizza from this restaurant. The lady who answered the phone only placed one of my pizza orders. I was also told 25 mins for my order to be ready. I waited 45 mins and then they wanted me to wait an additional 20 mins for the other pizza they forgot to put the order in for. I asked to speak to the owner whom tells me the most he can do for me is give me $5.00 off of my order. This restaurant have no respect for their customers.

My go-to for late night, delicious, economical, thin crust . It s funny, I ve never been here during the day or sober.

The experience started off kinda bad with their oven breaking down on them at like 12am after I had already ordered 45 minutes earlier for a delivery. Manager called me personally and asked if we would like anything and everything else on the menu to compensate since we couldn t get our deep dish pizza. They gave us several items for free to compensate and made sure we were happy with everything else. I would definitely go back just because of the great customer service as well as the food that we got was amazing!

Terrible!! Employees in the back fighting. I felt very unsafe. I hope I never experience this again.

Along with a huge slice of sausage pizza when we arrived at the restaurant.

All of the entrees come with yummy garlic bread and everything that we had was delicious.

Pizza was great (5 stars), but we were the only people in the restaurant and it still took 45+ min to get it from ordering to table for a thin crust mushroom and pepperoni. I had to approach them at the counter and ask before they gave it to us. There were only 4-5 people who came in after us and they all ordered single slices, so there was no excuse for taking that long. The longest we should have waited was 25 minutes, but we waited almost 2x that. Lost 3 stars for slow service...

Food is good but the girl that answer the phones today was very rude. I called looking for my order and she was like its in Route (with an attitude) instead of saying let me call the driver to find out how long. If she doesn't like talking to customers she should find a different job.

Great pizza, horrible delivery.

Our ticket was printed at 5:05pm, pizza was delivered at 7:07. Our original ETA was 6pm. We ended up with a cold pizza for three times the price of a frozen one.

Customer service wasn't helpful and hung up on us after we reached to ask about our purchase. If you want pizza from this place you're better off going to it and picking it up. Sadly, we're not going to continue supporting this business after today's treatment.

My husband and I are just visiting Chicago, and we ordered delivery to our hotel nearby. Unfortunately, my hot beef sandwich was SOGGY it literally dripped, and our fries cold and chewy. Garlic bread was worse than Spaghetti shop chain restaurant back home. It took 1 hour and the hotel let me know it's nearby and shouldn't have. My husband ordered a sandwich and his was fine (chicken parmesan) , didn't know the cake was frozen for $7, and I needed it to thaw to put a fork in. Would be no stars but he enjoyed his sandwich and liked the cake once thawed.
Yesterday we ate at another Italian place and my biggest mistake wasn't just ordering there 2x. What a joke for $56.

Rosati's Pizza is a great place to grab a quick bite if you're craving pizza slices! It's located right on Halsted, near the university. So you'll see a mix of people all over the block, lots of activity. There's no parking on site, only paid parking, which is the norm around the city. The inside is very clean & has nice decor / colors that makes it look appealing from the outside. You have an option to order a full sized pizza, or just get some by the slice! Pepsi products are also available... Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Fanta, and water! The slices consist of the [most popular] usual combinations of sausage, cheese, & pepperoni. There's also a meat lovers & giardiniera / onions option on certain days of the week, which is cool! Different pizza slices are served during different days. Daily specials for university students as well, with a discount. The wings aren't that good to be honest. I've tried them multiple times & everytime I hope that they're finally good, I'm let down! They'ee usually dry / hard, so I've skipped them all together. Toppings like crushed pepper, Parmesan cheese, and oregano are also there for you to dress up your pizza. The staff could be a little more genuine, maybe try to upsell some of their other items. Never had a problem with any staff member though, usual food service in terms of ordering and paying. Overall, it's a nice spot for a quick bite & local hangout spot with lots of other stuff to do around the vicinity.

My order is over an hour late. I ve called a few times and they just keep lying to me. The restaurant is 2 miles away from my location. I will never be ordering from here again.

I really appreciate you and your driver for going outta the way for us here at Jackson Park Hospital!! Definitely will be ordering again!!! And it was delicious!!! They will not let you use the bathroom no matter how much money you spend. It's always a game and a story. Out Of Order signs always on the door and they tell you that then they use it right in front of you and their friends come in and they give them the key. Never coming here again.

Pizza took longer than expected. Wasnt the worst or the best. Food was just Ok. Pizza was soggy, like cartoon pizza lol. Cheese fries were ok at best, cheese sauce tasted waxy. If your gonna take long with orders at least let it taste good.

Ordered a sandwich, 2 cheese fries, and 2 slices of pizza. They only brought me a sandwich and fries, called them and they said they would bring the rest and a sandwich to make up for it. They delivered only the 2 slices. Still missing a cheese fry I originally ordered and and sandwich they were going to give me to make up for it. I have to sleep now and I don t have the energy to call and politely ask again. Never ordering from here again.

Extraordinary atmosphere and super amiable service. The menu was fresh and delicious. Will absolutely recommend this restaurant to my friends. Affordable prices and large portions. Great job.

Good size pizza for your bucks. The staff sometimes ghetto to each other

I placed a lunch order with Rosati's. The food arrived cold, late and smashed together on one side of the box. I called the restaurant to express concern with the temperature and appearance of the food. The manager offered to issue a partial restaurant credit for the food. When I requested a full refund I was then told "All we can do is offer a partial credit". The manager proceeded to debate what his company was not willing to do to resolve the complaint.

If Rosati's management of this complaint is any indication of how the business is run my interests are better served at a restaurant that prides itself on delivering a great product and great customer service.

I really like the food and service, fantastic location next to my residence. The workers are always friendly. Will come visit again.

I had a calzone $18.00 way to high I used to get them in Tinley Park for $8.00 or $10.00 Not $18.00 that is way way to much and the sauce is not that good not coming to this one again.

The worst chicken Alfredo I've ever had! It's like dominos pasta. The pasta is under cooked the sauce is worse than the sauce that comes in a glass jar. The chicken is mushy. No flavor what so ever I will never waste and $15 on this place. Let's not leave the garlic bread out. It was horrible!

This deserves zero stars. Ordered pizza for delivery and was quoted 55 - 65 minutes. Once the 90 minute mark hit we called and asked for a refund. We were told that the driver already left and will be there soon. Once the 120 minute mark came and went we called and asked to speak to a manager because we wanted a refund and a no longer wanted the pizzas. We were told that they don t have a manager and that we would not be helped or given an apology or any kind of recourse. As I write this review the pizzas are 150 minutes late and I do not expect to receive anything from these people. I ll stick to giordano s over priced pizzas because they at least provide a product.
