Wow, the coffee is nice and low cost, it is probably robusta because the after note is bitter, but the foam is thick and creamy, fragrant as well. Bakery was ok, maybe because it s a takeaway, I didn t feel impressed.

Good setup, tablecloth, etc; however, expect to find extras and 10% service charge in your bill. 37 pp for lunch seems like too much.

Delicious! I had a dinner spacial with grilled haka fish. Will go back!

Belated Birthday Dinner for both of us and it lived up to our expectations. Food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Service was attentive but not intrusive.

The lunch menu was so appealing that my girlfriend and I agreed to order different dishes and share both. We tried the pork and the duck, both of which were prepared perfectly and presented wonderfully. In particular, the combination of black pudding and pork was a highlight. The dessert was also terrific - we'll definitely return!

Amazing place to stop by for sure. Very sweet staff and undeniably good food for a fair price considering the level of class this restaurant brings. Also the dessert was bomb.

Was here for my birthday, the food and the manager on was just amazing.

Food was fresh and hot you could tell it was made just for you.

The manger (forget his name) Was professional yet friendly and made you feel very welcomed. I watched him as he went from table to table making sure everyone was enjoying there food.

I would go again in a heartbeat...

The great and rare thing about Roly's is its consistent high quality!

Customers around open food with no face coverings. I asked a member of staff why are customers allowed to be served without a facemask and he shrugged at me and said what do you want me to do?I said you can ask them why they have no mask and to leave if there is no reason, the staff member said no I can't do that. I spoke to a manager that said this is not their policy. Rolys are supporting the ambulance service but also acting ignorant to the law requiring face coverings. I asked if a customer was smoking would you tell them to stop and they said yes, what is the difference? I do not want food that has not been covered with people breathing over it during a pandemic, maybe others do.

Every time I go to Roly's the food is excellent and the service professional and friendly, can never knock the place.

I had the opportunity to have dinner with some colleagues in Roly s last evening. I had never been there before and I was looking forward to it as I have known of Roly s reputation for a long time. There were 6 of us and our table was the one at the corner on the right hand side of the first floor.

Our experience was not good at all and we were pretty disappointed. The food was not great. The fish and chips was very ordinary. The batter was greasy and the chips were not home-made. I had it myself and had an awful night getting sick this morning. The salmon was very plain, and the food was not served hot enough. Vegetables were cold and the salads weren t good.

The service was embarrassing a good few times. One of my colleagues was ordering dessert and changed her mind but the waiter did not understand this properly. They brought her the wrong coffee, she said that was not her order and the waiter came again with the same coffee arguing that she had ordered it. A second time, this waiter came after we have paid with a new bill saying very rudely we hadn t paid the pre-drinks as if we weren t willing to pay. This was really embarrassing.

To be perfectly honest and having been to a few good restaurants in Dublin, Roly s food and service last night was not worth over 25 euro wine included.

I certainly won t recommend it and wont return either.

I enjoyed another great lunch in Roly's on a bank holiday sat same great staff and the food was superb . It was packed with customers but the service was first rate .

Great venue before or after a match or any event . Great cuisine from the buzy atmosphere of the bistro to the fine dining of the restaurant with menus to suit all palates

I have eaten here a few times and each time the food and service was excellent. On one occasion one of our group had hurt her foot and was afraid that she wasn't going to make it up the stairs. A table was set up for us downstairs and the service was lovely. Will be back again soon.

When you open the door at Roly s your Sunday really starts. The staff works swiftly and is very pleasant.

Some fantastic dishes. Priced high but worth it for a treat. Busy place, booking recommended. Downstairs would be better with linen

We had dinner at Rolys recently to see what the fuss was all about! We were not disappointed. From the minute you walk through the door, you are treated as a special guest. The food was exceptional. It turned out to be quite the occasion. I recommend an experience at Rolys!

Food here is top quality. Healthy selection with interesting compilations. Staff reasonably attentive also. Always a relaxed atmosphere, even when it's packed.

The food is really good and you won't leave feeling hungry. Really good service too.

I went to Rolys for a meal last weekend for a friends birthday and we couldn't of been looked after any better. The waiting staff were lovely no request was to much for them' bearing in mind we were a group of 9 women! The restaurant itself was fab also. Will definately be returning!

Bit disappointed to be honest. Menu hasnt changed an awful lot. Main course very slow in arriving and coffee never arrived at all. Have been there several times but have probably had enough of it at this stage.

Excellent find just a short walk from the Herbert Park. Good selection at the decent price.
We grabbed a quick coffee and pastry, but it also looked good for a larger meal. They also had cakes if you are planning a celebration.

Takeaway sandwiches are lovely for a picnic in Herbert Park

Cafe was excellent for dinner (Three courses 24EUR). Friendly service, great traditional food. One start off because of atmosphere.

Popular and good, but pricey and can be very busy. Sometimes the staff seem pretty overwhelmed, even on a Sunday evening.

Had dinner here after my engagement and after flying home to suprise my grandmother. You can never go wrong with the food and service here. Its reliably good and you can count on the experience and food to impress.

Good food but best if you take away instead of sitting in. Worst service in Ballsbridge. The only thing going for the place is the location and the name.

Had not been for 14 years. Hated it then and hate it now.

Hygeine issue. Staff spot cleaning floor and tables with same cloths without bleaching between or using different cloths for surfaces and floors. Cross contamination of salad bar with no attempt by customers to keep ladels or tongs to designated bowls. Found wads of pasta in greens bowl and Im allergic to wheat. Had two stuffy old ones telling me to lower my voice while talking to another lady. 12euros for scrambled eggs and small bit of salmon to top a bit steep and looked silly on a massive dinner plate when its a small breakfast item. Salad bar divine though and felt welcome by most staff.

Wonderful evening there on Sat, food well cooked and hot. Floor manager; Karl I think his name is, was charming and amusing. Definitely coming back.

Gotta say the poached eggs on toast were extremely delicious. The menu stated it had milk in it and because I am lactose intolerant, I asked the staff to have it without milk and this was arranged without any issues by the chef which was a nice gesture. My partner ordered pancake with Nutella and an Americano coffee, but in her opinion the pancakes were more like crepes. Other than that, she enjoyed it. Prices were decent though the poached eggs was about 11. As per COVID-19 guidelines, it was required to pass contact details along for contact tracing but that's not a problem.

Food is good always busy with a great atmosphere also super tasty fresh...

The food was ok, not bad but not great either. I also thought stuff wasnt friendly at all except one girl. Don't think I would come again tho.

Really enjoyed the food and staff were very helpful and friendly, just felt there was alot of background noise. Me and my partner struggled to hear one another. We were having a night away from our child so the last thing we wanted was loads of background noise. Other than that could not fault it!

Had a lovely anniversary lunch today with 30 of our family and friends. Food was good however, the servers could have been friendlier. We were really disappointed when the young guy with glasses (sadly he wasn t wearing a name badge) that was serving us seemed to have been moved to another section half way through the lunch. He was really friendly and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. I d recommend this restaurant if the other waiters had the same attitude towards as him.
