I ended up moving to this hotel from the Standard in Hollywood, hoping it would be a little quieter.

Check-in - no wait, bags were brought up to room in just a few minutes.

Room - the room was a fairly large suite. The bedroom was not separated by a door, but had a very large lounge area (by TV) and bed. I think they call them junior suites.

Noise - in talking to guests, some rooms are noisier than others, but this was perfect. I did not hear any noise throughout the night.

Bar/Restaurant - very cool and hip. Surprisingly not too busy to get a lounge table on a Thursday night at 6:30.

The pool is nice, located on the roof. I didn't go in in the water but plan to on my next visit.

Not worth your time or effort. Show up early? Too bad. They will place 100 women in front of you in line. Want to get in when they say doors open at a certain time? Too bad. You will wait an extra 2 hours outside while being constantly harrassed by bouncers who put their hands on you. They put together inappropriately mixed live acts that don't go together very well and lie about their prices blatantly. Ill never even attempt to give this place a chance ever again and will actively discourage friends from going.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the W Hollywood and I can say that it is a great hotel, they have friendly and helpful staff members, very clean rooms, and not to mention it is in an AMAZING location right next to the train station. The rooftop pool is well kept and has an absolutely beautiful view of the mountains. I love W Hollywood!

If you're looking for some great restaurants nearby: Rise N Grind is a great breakfast/lunch spot, Tender Greens has a great menu for lunch and dinner, Pressed Juicery is nearby, and Tocaya on Sunset Blvd has great organic Mexican food!

VALET STOLE MY MONEY! When my car was returned to ...

VALET STOLE MY MONEY! When my car was returned to me there was $40 missing. I understand $40 is not a lot of money but it s the principle. The W is supposed to be a respectable hotel and belongs to a notable line of hotels (The Marriott) but I suppose that doesn t matter. The valet is also a separate company and even if thats true, it is still a representation of the hotel because they service their customers. Long story short the manager danced around the fact that they are not responsible and basically won t do anything about it. I understand that my money is my responsibility BUT I feel that there should be some level of accountability, however there is zero. This just lets me know that their valet company could continuously steal and take advantage of people and because of their policy, the valet company is basically endorsing that fact.

Excellent guest service! Beautiful sexy interior and great outdoor patio. Rooms were clean, sleek and cozy too. Close to a lot of bars and attractions like the Hollywood sign and Universal Studios. Would recommend for 20 - 40 year olds who want a "party" hotel.

W-Hollywood Living Room Bar review

W-Hollywood Living Room Bar review

This is a great bar with a large indoor and outdoor area. It's also a good option if you're waiting for Drais to open upstairs or if you can't get in! There's no cover at this place, plus!

The bar area is literally like a gigantic living room that's quite spacious with the high ceilings. The dark leather couches are quite comfortable, but most are taken with their bottle service that's popular during the weekend. The outdoor area is also very nice on warms nights. During winter, they have a canopy over the whole place, so it's also great option to hangout in this area with all their heat lamps outside.

Cocktails are mostly made with all fresh berries and herbs and are all $15 each. They also serve limited types of beer that average about $7.

They have music playing here on Saturdays, where there were plenty of people dancing around the ground floor.

Parking is easy around the area with the lots that are offered, average $10. There's also street parking, but that's always a challenge in Hollywood.

ps, this place dressy!

Amazing hotel. You walk outside and it takes you right out to the walk of fame! This is a very chic young-hip hotel. Very vibrant colors, very trendy and glitzy! Rooftop pool was awesome! Definitely recommend and can t wait to go back! We spent part of honeymoon here and made great memories!

Bunch of friends and family hung out at their living room lougue on a Saturday night, it was just ok. The DJ and her playlist was great but they only gave her one speaker! As big as the place was I think they can do much better than that.

Second time here and still mesmerized by the murals, paintings and interior decor choices in general. In particular the valet staff deserve credit as they worked wonderfully under considerate pressure.

By far the most disappointing W Hotel experience I've had. Specifically booked a suite with a view to celebrate a friend's birthday; we were given a lower rate room with no view upon check in.
Followed up with staff and were given a new key to a room, which had dirty towels, dirty sink and missing amenities. No recourse or apology when this was brought to the attention of front desk. We had also requested several times (and several days in advance, which you can do through the Marriott app) for toiletries which were delivered bit by bit, because staff kept forgetting to bring bits and pieces of our original request. After check-in, we waited in our room for 2 hours to get our room sorted and everything delivered. Huge waste of time.

Prior to check in, the hotel emailed us twice to ask if we were celebrating a special occasion and if we had any requests (this is standard for a Platinum member). Both times I emailed back requesting recommendations and informing that it was a birthday, and got zero response. What's the point in pretending to offer service when there isn't any? Guests will be less disgruntled if you just don't ask at all.

I've started at Was before. They are trendy and pretty nice. I'm not sure why they feel the need to put a window from the bedroom into the shower. Some of the window is frosted, but still a bit awkward as I'm craving with a buddy.

Overall though, has a cool, young vibe to it.

I realize that I may not be the most qualified person to write this review since I only visited my friend's hotel room to pregame before a night out on the town. My friend had to call the front desk twice to ask them to drop off a toothbrush. The Bluetooth speakers/alarm did not work in the room we were in. Location was decent but overnight parking would have been over $40. There are a bunch of surrounding independent lots that are a lot cheaper if you plan to park overnight. I think only one person in the room had access to free wifi even though it was a double bedded room. Personally, I probably wouldn't stay here, but the room itself wasn't bad.

Would give this motel a 0 if I could. Terrible place to stay, where do I start. We stayed for 4 nights and had 5 rooms (on a family holiday) each night we were all woken up by parties in nearby rooms and people running up and down the hallways. We went up to the pool to swim and soon realised it was some skanky party, the waitresses were dressed in barely nothing and on the website it states that after 1pm on a weekend in summer the pool area is a sophisticated adults area, not one part of this was sophisticated. You couldn t even use the pool as it was full of people drinking. The staff are extremely rude and look everyone up and down like they are so much better, you should never judge anyone and should treat everyone the same, definitely something the staff at this motel need to learn. The power went off on the day we left and no one was there to tell us if the lifts could be used, we were on the 10th floor, there were also no flash lights to use in the room so at 5am it was pretty dark, lucky we had lights on our phones, pretty sure this should be a health and safety issue without having flashlights so I will be reporting this. Overall I would never recommend anyone to stay here, we stayed at the Bellagio in Vegas after this and even with the amount of guests they have staying there, every single staff member greeted us, smiled and had respect, something the staff at the W could really learn! Rude staff, noisy motel, can t even get in the pool due to parties, you can hear the weights being dropped in the gym which was a floor above us, had to call for soap and room service, made complaints to the staff and each one gave us different answers and excuses. Wouldn t waste my money here ever again!
