Amazing place... food excellent friendly service... one of my favourites

Have been going to Rolys for over 20 years and it's still great. Never had a bad meal or service. One of the best

Lovely pastries, filled baguettes, and coffee. They also have a great selection of wine and ready meals to take home. Great place to grab a coffee and sandwich and have breakfast in herbert park next door.

Excellent service and pricing. Fabulous location. Highly recommended.

Wanted good food and nice wine. Got both! This is a NICE place. The staff are wearing tuxedo jackets, but don't care what you are wearing. I reccomend the prime rib, husband had the rib eye.

A large group of us and good was top class and service was excellent. Well done.

Stand out with some higher-quality service and fine dining from other typical (bar) Dublin restaurants. Nice praise.

We went to celebrate an 80th. Birthday. A really important milestone. All was just right. The atmosphere, the friendly staff, the food. Ticked all the boxes. Roly's deserves to be with us 25 years on.

Gorgeous food, great atmosphere, lovely staff, but service was very rushed. Some extra time between courses would be welcomed.

Average food served by stressed staff in a cramped environment. Visited December 2019 for lunch and were left standing in the lobby until 30 minutes after our booking time. We finally seated at an uncomfortably cramped table. Service was slow and staff were rushed off their feet. Did not enjoy dining here

Brought my daughter here to her favourite restaurant for her 16th birthday. It was a wonderful experience, they made such a fuss of her, the manager went above and beyond to give her a really great day. The food was great and the staff were exceptional.

I went to Roly's recently and I had a great experience! The staff were great as was the food! Especially the desert. I ordered the white chocolate brownie cheese cake and it was delicious! Great place! Would reccomend

Consistent with very good food over the years, a place that's been doing things right and it shows with the amount of customers the place gets, keep up the good work Roly's always a nice place to visit with family or friends, the restaurant has a good atmosphere and friendly service.

Fantastic restaurant and bistro in Dublin with a choice of formal dining in the restaurant or casual dining in the bistro. Lots of choice in both dining options and great value. Staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend

This is a fabulous restaurant which we have visited on a regular basis for the past 12 years.
Whether its a large family gathering or just two of us it is always a most pleasant experience - never fails.
I have also got brilliant feed back from numerous friends I have recommende this restaurant to over the years.

This is one of my dah's favourite restaurants. Took him here for his 79th birthday. Great food always... And, it's a lot cheaper than you'd think! Their lunch menu is very well priced and very tasty! #LEGEND

This restaurant offers lovely food at reasonable prices. It is consistently delivering great service and quality food for many years.

A stalwart of Dublin dining for years, Rolys is now probably better than ever. Always busy and the staff and food are excellent. A busy, NYC feel to it but with old fashioned hospitality.

Great location close to the RDS and on the main road, but devoid of traffic noise, which is a plus. Food here is good and lunch menu is great value.

10 supplement on steak is a bit excessive and I didn't see too many punters partaking.



Restaurant itself was noisy on the day, as there was a party of office staff sitting close by us, making our conversation difficult to hear.

Some of the waiting staff are very snooty. I found this odd, given that it's not exactly haute cuisine.

I'd definitely return again and would recommend a midweek visit, as it would possibly be quieter then.

Nostalgic, missing the table service at sit down meals at Rolys and especially the prawn bisque!

We enjoy their food. The service is great. One downside, we find it rather awkward sitting in theirs boots. Try to get a table.

Have missed Sunday breakfast in Roly s so was great to come back last weekend. Food still fantastic and it s obviously a little less crowded but same great atmosphere and service.

Our daughter and 3 of her classmates had dinner in Roly's Bistro to celebrate their Junior Cert. The service and attention to detail the staff at Roly's provided was second to none. They made the girls' night very special. The food was excellent and it capped off a perfect day. We intend returning to Roly's in the near future.

Breakfast was a dream, sitting in great company was the start of a fantastic day only to be topped by a sumptuous feast of fresh fruit fresh pastries and eggs benidict. Your staff have it spot on . Well done to all. We will be back.

Brilliant place to eat. The food was top class and the service was great. The staff are professional and helpful. Worth a visit if you want a classy meal.

Good place for breakfast or lunch. Hotel recommended it when I flew in from the US. Friendly staff, clean. Meals are standard fare and tasty. The pastries were really good as well.

Amazing food, amazing staff. The manager, Khan, in particular was the best host i've ever encountered in a restaurant. Myself and my boyfriend had bought one of the restaurants deal vouchers online (3 courses for 2 ppl) which was great value in itself but then the attention received by Khan and his staff took our night to a different level! We even got a receipe book to take home!! Will 100% be back again in the near future!

Ive got to say Ive heard big things about Rolys so there were high expectations before I even walked through the door. I glad to say it was absolutely fantastic. We were welcomed at the door and had our coats taken prior to being seated. My eyes gleamed when I saw the menu.. Pigeon.. Venison. Game.. when I see these kinds of meats on a menu I know Im on to a good thing. It was a cold bitter night so a nice hearty soup was just what we needed. It was beautifully seasoned and had great flavor. The breads were delicious, now usually I don t like filling up on bread but I couldn t help myself. Patrick went with the fillet steak for main. It was cooked perfectly and the pepper sauce was delicious. For main I had the venison. Seasoned perfectly on a bed of veg. Dessert Paddy went with the apple pie. I just about got a bite in before he devoured it. The little piece I did get to taste was gorgeous. I had the Skellig Chocolate bar with orange sauce... I was sold on the orange sauce. It was amazing... It comes as no surprise that the standard is so high. Throughout the meal the manager Khan chatted with us. He was charming, witty and seemed to genuinely care. We had a fantastic evening, can t say enough about the place. We will definitely be back.

Had a 3 course meal from the set menu. Steak was 60% fat which was very disappointing. Dessert was nice but was informed by the waiter that they had run out of raspberry tartlet which was then served to a neighbouring table 20 minutes after.

Loved this place in the past, hadn't been there in a long time. Didn't love the meal this time. It was a match day in the Aviva, and the place was really busy, so maybe that's an excuse for it. It was ok. I was expecting great.

Good lunch menu with tasty sandwiches.
Had dinner there recently and the food was good as always. Just a pity they packed us in so tight the dinner plates were touching!

We had booked however they didn't seem to have a record of it.
Not a problem.as we were shown to a table and all 4 of us had a great meal. Food was excellent as was the service.
There was a great buzz about the place as as the restaurant was busy.
The lunch menu was great value.

Nice restaurant in Ballsbridge. It was a busy Sat night & full of atmosphere.
Food was good, but on the expensive side. Over 100 euro for 2 with one glass of wine.

Wonderful evening there on Sat, food well cooked and hot. Floor manager; Karl I think his name is, was charming and amusing. Definitely coming back.

Wonderful service and food. It is a lovely treat eating here. Everyone who has been to Roly's always has something good to say about it.

Always an excellent atmosphere here, with friendly and accommodating staff. Evening menu is excellent and the food is fantastic. Despite the reputation, prices are very reasonable!

Thank you for a fantastic Sunday lunch. Three generations of the family left very happy and Khan took such care of us and offered our little girl a special tour of the kitchen and she made her own ice cream desert. Food was fantastic as always and service second to none. We have been going to rolys for years but today stood out to us. Thank you to all the staff and especially Khan

Good food, friendly service. Tables close to each other, and so a lot of noise.

Excellent place for an evening meal! I had venison, and it was the best I've ever eaten. Staff is very friendly and do whatever they can to make your meal enjoyable and delicious!

Lovely food, all al a carte. Bread offering delicious. Not impressed when we noticed after leaving a nice tip that they had already added a service charge on our bill for a table of 2.

Nice food but a little stuffy. Good for a more formal dinner.

I've given so many wonderful reviews for rolys, the service is exceptional it's why I continue to keep going . The food is beautifully presented and cooked. Wonderful for a night out with friends or romantic evening for two. Just love it! Can't recommend rolys enough!

Have dined here on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. The variety on the menu is fantastic and they have a great selection of wine.

Myself and my wife don't really get a chance to have lunch together without children in tow.I must say the experience that Rolys Bistro provided was absolutely fantastic.From start to finish.My sister,who was our babysitter, got chapter and verse when we got home.we must have described every mouthful in detail.We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at your beautiful restaurant and hope in time to be able to go back for more.....Many thanks
