Arrived with a party of 4 with no reservations, after a deep sigh from the hostess she proceeded to walk away without saying a word and placed menus and silverware at table and said enjoy with a bland face and went back to whatever she was doing at her hostess station.

When our server arrived he wasn t rude, but very lethargic. Either he had no interest of being there or he was inebriated because his eyes were low and so was his standard of service.

6 wings, fish and chips, 1 chicken burrito and 1 rice burrito (chicken burrito with no chicken, vegetarian) were ordered as well as an appetizer of Mac and cheese bites. After an hour and 20 minute wait, the Mac and cheese bites arrived. 10 minutes later 3 of the four dishes arrived. The wings were luke warm and they forget the blue cheese. Fish was burnt and the chips were soggy. Waiting another 10 minutes for the other burrito to arrive, we asked our waiter and he just so happened to forgot to tell us that the other burrito was dropped and that the kitchen was making another. We cancelled the order, simply because we couldn t wait any longer. After we told the waiter we couldn t wait for the other dish he simply disappeared for the evening. We then asked for the manger, paid our bill and left.

We understood that they were busy, but when the larger party ( that was seated AFTER us) at the table next to us was getting their steaks and alcoholic beverages at faster rate and simply receiving better service, we realized that were second rate patrons at this establishment. I chose to dine here and was slightly embarrassed that my family had to go through this.

Never again.

We love BTR! They have a huge selection of beer, so you get more options than at any of the local breweries, and on top of that you get amazing food choices too. I love their rainbow trout with cheese grits and a fried green tomato on top. They also have great burgers and other lighter fare too. With live music and trivia nights it's a great spot for good beer (or wine!), food, and entertainment all in one.

Too bad menu did not represent the desserts they really didn't have.

Come here every time I m in Huntsville. Love the food, beer, and atmosphere. Their in-house brews are exceptional and staff is amazing.

First time there... Good food and great beer, but a little pricy. Great atmosphere! I definitely recommend!

I had almost given up on Below the Radar. What once was an establishment full of heart and fresh ideas was now apathetic and just going through the motions, until they hired Joshua "Chance" Brown as the manager....if anyone can bring this place back to it's former glory it's Chance. I honestly need to write a separate review just for Chance, but he doesn't have a Google page. I'm excited to see the heights he will take this place. A complete turn around from the last time I visited. We'll done guys

Surprisingly great food at a bar like setting. Ribeye was cooked exactly as ordered and had great flavor.

Place was OK but it felt pretty weird getting chastized for reaching across the bar for napkins minutes after our food was served. Will go elsewhere from now on.

Food is good, drinks are fabulous. Servers are good. Greeting host not so much. He needs to go home! Bit I'll still go back for Sunday brunch.

The place smelled like a bathroom. The drink was good, and the service was friendly.

There was no close parking, the food was mediocre, their beer was not top notch, and they were out of the first 3 "good" beers I ordered. I haven't been back in 3 years, I need to give them a second chance.

Our party of six was seated at 12:30 and we walked out at around 2:20. Our server was pretty late getting to the table for drink orders so we ordered drinks and food at the same time. Two of us ordered a beer. Thirty minutes later, we were told they were out of that beer, so we ordered another. Meanwhile, no food. We re talking six sandwiches, two of them grilled cheese. Drink refills incredibly slow in coming. Beers finally arrived. In the meantime, we watched two tables seated, served, and turned over right next to us. Also noted there were several empty tables so they weren t as busy as we ve seen. So, still no food after another thirty minutes. Asked to speak to a manager who said things get busy on Saturday and it s St. Patrick s Day, etc., and seemed rather perturbed as if we had nothing to complain about. Didn t offer to comp the drinks or anything like that, did not say she was sorry for our wait, and said she d check on the food. Watched lots of food coming out of the kitchen, unfortunately none of it ours. So, we finally walked out hungry a little shy of 2:30. Very sad as we like BTR very much and have been coming here for years and have never had this kind of experience before. It will be while before we return again.

Good food. Great microbrews get a flight and try them all.

The house beers are great and change often. Food is typicalish bar food with their own twist. The onion rings and cheese burger are great!

Meh, the service was lacking. Our server seemed upset with us which is never a good trait to have...he probably should just be back in the kitchen if he's going to act like he's got a chip on his shoulder.
Food was mediocre, nothing that stood out. The icing on the cake was that we ordered a kids cheeseburger but got a $1 upcharge for the cheese...and my wife got the portobello with cheese, and got a $1 upcharge for the cheese. I mean what the heck dude?

Finally, the beer prices are too high...they charged $6.50 for a 10oz pour.

Made no sense to us and we won't be back.

Service sucks.

I love this place. The sriracha wings are great. The Dixie burger is amazing. Everything I've tried here is very good. Awesome beer list too.

We had a great time here. Service was slow, but our server was fun and had a lot of people to keep up with.
Dollar mimosa's we're on point.
Mushroom, onions and black bean omlette was super-sized, and full of goodness.

First, it had terrible service. It took our waitress about ten minutes just to take our drink order, then took nearly twenty minutes to get our drinks. We hadn't even ordered food yet. And this was after 8 on a Sunday night, not a particularly busy time. She rarely checked in on us, and continuously forgot to bring things we had asked (limes, water, etc.).

Second, I ordered a neat Scotch, and once I finally got it, it had disgusting floating debris in it. It almost looked like someone with really bad dandruff sprinkled some in. I asked for a new one, and ten minutes later I got it. The second one had some debris in it as well, but not nearly as much and it didn't look like dandruff this time (looked more like lint from a towel), so I decided to deal with it.

Finally, when it came time to pay the check, I was charged extra for ordering my Scotch neat. The menu clearly said "rock pours will have an up charge." Nothing about neat. The manager told me they were in the process of updating menus. Well then wait to put the up charge until the updated menus are available. Don't charge me extra for something not on the menu.

Needless to say, I will not be going back. Unless you like bad service and being ripped off, I advise everyone else to avoid Below the Radar as well.

Cozy little place. Everyone that's served us has had a great attitude. The food is delicious. No complaints.

Excellent burger and some very good local brews, including some porters and stouts (not a given in today's IPA-mad world). It's worth a visit if you're in town.

Food was wonderful, wide variety, flavorful, got and fresh! Service was slow hence 4-Stars. Hostess was great, as well.

Very attentive staff. Everyone was helpful in discovering beers we really liked. The wings were really good extra crispy and of course you have to ask specifically for crispy. Had a great experience and we will return.

Great food.. Try the mac and cheese bites! Extensive Bourbon and American whiskey collection, great beers on tap and in bottle, and good entree choices. Service and speed of food coming from kitchen was impeccable.

I went here for lunch for the first time and had such great service! The pesto dressing on my salad was amazing, and it was enough for two meals!

First time here...enjoyed it! One thing that I always look for when I go to an establishment, is welcoming the staff is....they passed with flying colors! I only had one bartender, but I probably interacted with like 5 of the members. Food was good as well. Pictured is the smokehouse burger. I would definitely check this place out the next time I'm in town!

Nothing special. Average food at a decent price. Beer selection is great.

Very good selection of in house brews as well as locals. The bbq is very good, has great sides and goes very well with the Yellowhammer Belgian Red. If you are in Huntsville and don't stop in - you should be ashamed.

Amazing service, great craft brews and perfect for a little date night! Gotta try the Mac and Cheese bites with the sweet sriracha ketchup type sauce! Well worth the money will always come back!

I have so many great things to say about this place! The food, the beer, the company, all great! And who cares that I'm a little biased because I work there too! If anything that should tell you that it's pretty great cuz how many people actually like where they work?? An ever growing number of people. So if you don't like your job and you need a drink and some good company, stop by!

We had flights, a chai latte, and cheesecake. The lemon cheesecake was among the best I've ever tasted. The beers were solid. I like the Minter but everyone else thought it was too sweet.

Decent and diverse enough selection of beers, with good bar food. If they're going to limit Groupons to their beers, they need to really step up their game, and improve the quality and types of their beers. I'd go again.

Grateful selection of beer and wonderful food. This was my first time and when one of the servers found that out, he took the time to walk me thru the beer menu. My main server was patient with my questions and made a great food recommendation. Hope to be back in town to try more food and beer here.

We met friends there for brunch . At first, I thought the service was bad. The place was slammed. Every table was full. The two waiters that I saw were moving like trains. One of the owners was I'm house also. Food was great but service was amazing considering the patron to server ratio! Those two guys need a raise. Hopefully the owners will look at this and realize they need to hire more like them.

The staff was great, food was ok, the beer is expensive but a good selection.. be sure to tip! :)

If I had written this review yesterday, my emotional state would not let me write this in a professional manner. On a bus tour of Huntsville, a recommendation from one of our members was to stop here. She had visited the restaurant before and gave it raving reviews. Our party was 11 although we did not have a reservation, we were seated. Once you made the arrangements and seated us we should have been treated as any paying guests in the establishment! We received our food over a hour after ordering. I asked if I could have warmer fries the young waitress attempted to accommodate us, however, Tabitha (I believe was her name) came over to see what the problem was. When trying to explain that our orders were cold, she basically tells us, it s OUR fault! We didn t have a reservation! The problem I have with that statement...Why not tell us that at the door when we initially came in? We would have understood that. But to tell me and our guests it was our fault because our food was cold was not what I was expecting! She went on to turn our tour on Huntsville into a nightmare! I have never been so disappointed and disrespected! Our friend who recommended this place was equally embarrassed because we had visitors from out of town in the group! I will never visit here again!!! Cold food and disrespectful service!

I have been here several times, and the food is amazing. The danger of ordering chicken is that it will be dry - not the case! The grilled chicken was amazing, and the sauce enhanced the flavor perfectly. The asparagus was perfect also! Paired with a Frost Kolsch from Steel Barrel in Murphreesboro, this was a wonderful dish.

Cajun rubbed ribeye was excellent. Very large choice of beer. Would definitely come back.

Brew house and tap house with tasty bistro food. A good place to grab a beer and have dinner, with good service. Does get a little busy at times but they seem to handle it well.

I am not sure if these high reviews are for the beer or the food? The beer is great but I have had better food at a football game. Greasy fish and chips, pre-made hamburger patties(Hardees is way better) and limp fries. Maybe we ordered wrong, but I am not a fan.

A favorite place whenever in Huntsville. Last three visits progressively worse. Last night, no tap beer...at a brew pub. Chicken wings were size of quail legs. Smallest I ever saw in an establishment and 14 bucks for 12. Also ketchup based wing sauce , horrible. The Jim Beam made it tolerable but wont be back. Too bad.

I went here last night with a group of friends as we were encouraged to try it out. We arrived at 8:00pm and there was a wait but most places seemed like there were wait times so we didn t mind waiting and having a quick drink at the bar. We were sat at 8:30 outside, which we were thankful about because it was so loud inside. After waiting 20 minutes for a server to come by our table, and watching others get sat and greeted immediately, I went and spoke to the hostess and let her know the situation. I went back to my table and watched inside as it seemed no one knew who was supposed to be taking care of our table. At 9:00 someone finally came by and apologized and said he d tell the manager what happened and see what he could do for the mess up. No manager ever came by and nothing was done. I was very upset as I ve worked in a restaurant before and these things happen but you take care of the guests when they do happen. We asked our server for multiple things that he just forgot we asked for. One of my friends finally had to go find some salt on some random table. I am a firm believer of 20% tips but this is one instance 15% didn t even cut it for me. As far as the food goes, it was delicious! The chef made wonderful burgers and a perfect burrito. Unfortunately, his/her food is accompanied by horrible service and management which made for an unpleasant experience.

The food and service is always top notch! My boyfriend and I have eaten here many times and have never had a bad experience! We love the wings and onion rings! Highly recommended :)

This place has a pretty good selection of beer. I tasted some butter in the Bee-Yatch Blonde - butter taste in beer is not good. Not a fan. The food here is pretty solid bar fare. I have had good beer here in the past so I will most likely return.

Ok place to visit. Nothing special or exceptional. Their beers felt a bit uninspired and really didn't do much to convince you to not just order a beer from a different distro brewery. However, I can say that I was surprised to see some of their in house brew styles. Not often do you find a bunch of adjunct heavy cream ales, German wheat lagers, and Continental lagers in an American brewery. My only real complaint is something that they cant really do anything about and that's the lack of parking. Unfortunately that's just kinda what you have to deal with in Huntsville. It's an ok place if you need to kill an hour or so but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. It's aight.

Food was good but not good enough to make up for the lack of service. I found this place while working out of town via Google... reviews said "great service". I was seriously disappointed with our waitress. She was on her phone a lot and took about 20 minutes just to tell us 2 separate times that the drinks we ordered were out of stock. Not impressed.

This place was just below the living room balcony of my 3rd floor place. Good people watching for us those days.
