Reno Hilton Review

Very clean, comfortable and huge! This place has stores, bowling alley, movie theater. When you stay at the GSR you really don't need to go anywhere else.

I had a great time! I bowled I ate and I drink too much! They're getting back into the swing of things.

This casino resort is always busy and is well run. It has a wide assortment of entertainment for all ages and lots of good food. It's location is prime and lots of parking.

Place is better than ever. Might even get me playing big again.

We had a great room, 1 king bed and a really nice bathroom with a great shower. The casino gaming experience was the same as other casinos. The pool was great but the hot tubs could have been a little hotter.the buffet is a little pricey but it was probably the best buffet I have ever been to. And believe me I am a foodie. All the other places we ate in the casino are good also except for Johnny Rockets. , What a disappointment. But all in all we had a fabulous time.

The hotel is huge and roinns were real nice. Wish the security staff was more accommodating when I forgot my room number and had my stuff locked out. Ended up having to wait 30 mins just for someone to help me... Their gym is also far away from the elevator so that was a bit awkward too walking around in gym clothes...

It s ok....just ok. The place is a little tired. Here in January it s like a ghost town. So if you are looking for action...now is not the time. I will say the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Was not terribly impressed. Room was dark and dingy, door didn't close well. "Upgraded room on the 24th floor was dusty and dirty, like it hadn't been dusted or vacuumed very well in a long time. Lighting was horrible in the room and bathroom, making getting ready a challenge.
First night it was so loud upstairs we were pretty sure there was a professional wresting match going on. Second night, requested an extra blanket and it finally arrived over 2 hours later.
Positives: Beds were decent. Shower was large with plenty of hot water and water pressure. Food and service at Johnny Rockets was good.

I went to the casino didn't stay because they didn't have any rooms available for me but I was a winner there the waitresses kept bringing drinks so I didn't have to wait around looking and looking for them very good service

Check in line sucks if you go at the wrong time. Otherwise, clean, quiet rooms, smoking rooms available, great food at restaurant and coffee shop. Starbucks on site, theater, stores, pool and so much more. Stores are a little pricey not sure the cost of massage. Really don't need to go anywhere, it's all right there on site. Walmart is in walking distance. Great time, great fun, going back soon. Slots are wonderful.

Grand Sierra is great. We go every year and they are always very good. Great staff and good rooms.

Beautiful hotel, but like most gambling establishments plan on losing.

We always enjoy our stay here. We love the pool and the arcade is good. I'll love the casino if I actually win but I have no luck so try yours! The staff are great and it's clean. I just don't like smell of cigarettes. But, it's a casino and they do have a designated area for non-smokers.

The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because my previous stays were pleasant. This stay the elevators were broken for 5 days. Only 2 were working and there were times I waited 15 minutes for an elevator. And one got stuck

The best hotel and casino in Reno because they have the most activities and restaurants. It also has the best nightclub in Reno with popular djs.

They have a wonderful amount of theme park atractions. Go carts a big swing miniature golf and arcades for the kids. Plenty of up to date gaming fir the adults. There is a big mall too. Plenty of things to do even driving range.

It has a lot of things to do besides gambling. There's bowling, the theater, golf and verity of shops to go into. Plus there are a lot of great places to eat as well.

great place very very nice staff very helpful staff gambling's okay the buffet has been remodeled and there is seven or eight restaurants on board they have bowling and what have you there's a lot of things for the kids so it's a hell of a good place to stay we've been there many many times.

Great food with great local discounts wish they would bring back the awesome eco friendly straws.
Update 1.2020 the max arcade downstairs has ax throwing for decent prices (Groupon has a special now ) staff was really nice Shane helped teach us how to throw properly. Definitely a good time would recommend

No covered parking so you may have to walk 100 yards in 100 degree heat. Cant shower with bathroom door open or smoke detector starts beeping. Had to make 2 requests for towels and wait over an hour to get them.

Clean and modern rooms. Loved the spa! They let us use it all day with a $115 massage. They had a surprising number of stores and restaurants. We had a wonderful dinner at Charlie Palmer's Briscola. Table limits were low, I only wish they had more open during the morning.

Grand Sierra gave us 2 nights free, rooms we upgraded for &23.00 for bigger room higher floor. The rooms have recently been refurbished and were really nice. Big showers, clean, pleasant staff, enjoyable stay.

Except for the outdoor massive parking walk. O love it

We saw a show in the Grand Ballroom and it was a great experience. The line moved quickly to get in, the staff was friendly, and the venue was great. I also eft my wallet at the showroom that night and when I came back the next day, security had it at lost-and-found for me. They were also very friendly and helpful.

Pretty good food wasn't at all a good experience but the people are very friendly

Very nice hotel with plenty to do. Has a movie theater, bowling alley, night club,"sports bar", and of course many slot machines and games. Came out for a week for business and would definitely not mind staying.

CON: Still allow smoking (if you consider that a con)

Too big. Lots of smoke. Lots of people got sick. Stay away!

Super Fun Filled Resort & Casino. This place is great. Filled with young people unlike to old geezer's you find in most other casino's. Great bands, concerts and very inexpensive food. had the braised short rib with a poblano sauce over rice & charros at the Mexican Restaurant. Enjoyed the incredible pool and pool side bars, live music. What a fun filled great stay. I even won $207

Very nice hotel and resort. Pool is great and large enough to support the amount of people at the hotel. I don't gamble, so I can't speak about the casino, but the food places in the resort are all great. Staff was very polite and all the restrooms we're clean. Rooms are spacious and offer great views of the city. Free bottled water and coffee in the room. The mini-fridge in the room barely keeps things cold, but that's a minor issue. Overall, a great place to stay and relax with lots of room and conference center.

The room was nice. Everything else about the ENTIRE experience was OKAY at best. Long lines for everything, restaurants that close early...etc.

The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino's newly remodeled buffet provided an excellent dinning experience. The food was unique and well prepared. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I will be returning to eat here again.

Very clean place with nice amenities and we'll set up rooms. I like starting here because parking is easy, it's very central, and overall fun place to be.

Use to go to the Nugget but it went down hill since it sold so decided to give GSR a try. Overall it has been a pleasant experience. Checked in Sunday and the line was very long. GSR had every check in desk manned so it went fast. Very efficient.

Room was not clean hair on the the beds splatter on the roof, supposed to be taken care of with partial credit but its been more than a month and no one at the front desk seems to know what they are doing. Poor experience for us all the way through.

Check in was fairly quick, I stayed on the 3rd floor. Room was immaculate, not one thing was out of place. Bed was juts perfect, not to hard and not to soft so I was able to sleep great the few days I was here.Several places to eat at so no need to leave. I will say if you do not like ciggarette smoke stay above the 5th floor.

Busy on the weekends, if you want to gamble weekdays end up being slower. The hotel rooms are pretty roomy. The help is always ready to answer questions.

Room was super nice but it's a bummer there's no indoor pool unless you pay extra for a spa pass. Their outdoor pool is super awesome, but when it's cold I'd way rather stay inside.

My stay was horrible
My 4 year old found a foil ball behind the bathroom trash can and it it had burnt residue.

My fiance and I have made reservations here about 5 times now. We have made RESERVATIONS. Meaning we put money down on a king bed to have it reserved. The past few times we have reserved a room, we get there and it is never ready - so not cleaned. We usually show up after 3 pm which is generally check in time in most other establishments. This time around, we made reservations (Again, putting money down on this king bed) a few days in advance. The day we leave, we called ahead only two hours before we arrived, to make SURE our king bed room was available. They said they would move some things around to make sure it was ready when we arrived. We get there, and we are told our room is not available. Not "not ready" this time, but just plain not available. We were then told that we would be double upgraded due to our issues. Well, we were "upgraded" to a standard double queen room. It was an "upgrade" because it was a slightly larger room. If we put money down on a room to reserve it it should be held for that person. Is that not the whole point of a reservation? I do not understand why our room would be given away when we called to confirm just two hours ahead. We will not be going back to this establishment. We have never had this type of treatment at the Peppermill, and every time there has been an issue there we were upgraded - actually upgraded - to a suite. THAT is how you take care of your customers.

We went to the Grand Sierra Resort to the theater to watch a movie had popcorn. Walked around the casino played a few slots. Checked out the pool area. Also inquired about up coming shows.

Enjoyed a quick two night stay for a work conference nearby. Loved the convenient location so close to the airport. Rooms were clean and modern. Room service was also very enjoyable. I don t generally love casinos because of the smoke smell but they did a pretty good job of keeping it to a minimum in public areas. Overall a pleasant stay.

Such a great resort! Nice staff, nice rooms, and lots of amenities. Don't even have to leave the resort to have a great time! Perfect for families.

Never again. Charged for a room I never got to stay in. Blame their website design more than anything.

Stopped in for a bite to eat at one of the restaurants after picking up my husband from the airport. Beautiful set up. Delicious food at the Chinese restaurant.

This is one of the best Hotel and Casino lots of entertainment, great food, good price, good service I widely recommend.

I love the bowling alley that my friend is the owner of the no whining shop I get all my bowling balls there

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I had to wait 45 minutes to get checked into my room, only reason for the 4 stars. But the room and overall hotel experience was hands down the best I've had in reno. This will be my stay every time I travel for business moving forward.

Amazing motel and casino. My reason for going to Reno was sad but the atmosphere of GSR really helped my mood.

Can't wait to return, the beds were so comfy I really could have stayed there, it was easy as I was a first timer to figure out where everything was, the buffet was awesome (crab night) my only complaint would be since I'm disabled there's so much I didn't get to see it would be nice if there were electric chairs to transfer around on.. but other than that. Can't wait to go back!!

Leon Bridges Concert! Hot August Nights! Yes! This casino hotel has been the site of many great concerts and fun days. Good restaurants and buffet. No luck with the gambling...Guess that's why it's called...Gambling! Anyways, good deals on rooms and a great location in Reno. Overall fun.

Reservations lost our booking and proceeding to jack the prices up. Watch out. They would rather argue for a few dollars than keep the client happy. This is bad management.

New age atmosphere, lovely place. Food is also amazing.

Room was a good value for the money. Big and clean with a hot shower and awesome water pressure. Saw a show at the Grand Theatre. The theater itself felt brand new and the acoustics were fantastic. Drink lines moved quickly and the staff were all friendly. Didn't gamble, but the casino floor was lively and bright with new slots and plenty of table games.

Too smoky, stayed in my room most of the time. My suite was nice.

Old,smokey, dusty. Rooms are not the cleanest. Staff is unorganized when it comes to airport shuttles. Buffett is decent. Buffett staff friendly and attentive.

Their rooms are clean and well attended by the cleaning staff. Their fun quest arcade has a huge variety of games that suit the entire family! Also, the Grand Theater has amazing shows, so be sure to check it out!

There's a lot to do here. I attended a business meeting here and the facilities for that we're nice. Food was really good. Staff was nice and helpful. But the rooms killed it for me. I found trash on the floor that wasn't mine. I could hear everyone walking down the hall at night (that's also the fault of the guest with no respect for other guests...), so bring ear plugs. I also found a blood stain on the blanket.

The hotel is great,the restaurants are a little pricey for the quality of the food. Especially the buffet. There's a Wal-Mart right next door. The machines actually pay off in my experience. I would definitely recommend this motel.

Let me start by saying that my stay here was underwhelming even with covid travel expectations. I booked the concierge suite which was just a normal room on a higher floor. The website boasted an in room wet bar and other amenities in room that simply were not there. I won't be staying there again.
