Great stay I will always stay at GSR when I visit Reno.

Nice and clean. Charlie Palmer's stake house the best food in the area.

Always a great place to stay whenever I'm in town! Good for dancing at Lex on a girl's night or doing family stuff like bowling, movies, arcade, etc.

Had expensive Willie Nelson tickets! The Grand Ballroom was totally unorganized and not ready to seat people! Willie played for only 1 hour and we didn't get in until he had been playing for 20 minutes! Then the person behind us puked on the floor and it ran down under our feet!!! Sent one person in our party to get someone to clean it up, but no one ever came! Had to leave because we were all gonna barf if we stayed!!!

It's quite amazing all the improvement and remodeling that's going on. We stay at the GSR alot and everything we would need or want is practically there. And all that it is, is only going to get better.

When we get there valet didnt help unloaf.our luggage or offer a bell hop. We drug our luggage to the 25 th floor. I had my.elderly.fsther so I was doing most of the stuff. Their slot machines were tighter then a nun's thighs. I called it a early night since the machines were horrible. Tried to sleep but tweakers were having a party. By 2am I was annoyed and so were other guests. They let druggies argue 4 hours in the hall .keeping me up most of the night bef9re.they did anything
Others complained as well. No compensation not even a apology . Never agian if the staff wants to act that way. Lost my families business.

Everyone was super especially malaetasi she is WONDERFUL we had a wonderful time was playing with out my players card won't be doing that again gonna carry with me next time

The new buffet is very nice! Great improvements to the food quality. Very enjoyable!

Great facility and the choices of food were great. Great scenery of the mountains from pool side. Also the staff were very helpful. For a Resort the prices were what we expected. Would stay again and would recommend the Resort to everyone.

Very nice resort and Casino. We ate at the seafood buffet and it was awesome. We also enjoyed seeing Brian Regan the comedian in the Grand Theater. It too, was very clean with comfy chairs.

The good:

The casino is decent, all contained to one large area.

The bad:

The rooms are a little disappointing.

I stayed in a suite on the top floor and some things to mention are the poor air conditioning performance.

Rooms are poorly soundproofed.

Rooms lack microwaves (to be expected).

Water pressure was very poor in the shower.

Overall for the biggest and newest casino hotel in Reno, you can't really find better.

Took the kids to the fun center and they had a great time. Staff were helpful and patient while our kids chose their prizes.

All inclusive resort, with excellent game ng options and a low key poker room.

It is a very good-looking place a lot of good-looking people go there for the nightclub but there's no $5 tables are all 15in $25 table so they're just watch your money

Clean rooms. Great showers! Worth paying a bit more for 18th floor and higher. Even though my window faced the airport, noise was very minimal even at peak hours of operation. Could use some covered parking (Solar... perhaps..) Would book again

This is a great place to meet ! I have family that stay there everytime they visit! Lots of fun!

Check-in (on the very busy Monday after Burning Man) was easy and staff were quite courteous. Room was large, clean, and modern. The hotel pool area is excellent. They had a daytime party going, but still enough room to stretch out and relax.

Really nice place..the smiling people and the food variety is GRAND.. the bar and beverage service is GRAND ...and the atmosphere is really clean.
The rooms and the pool and the shops and the infoor bowling and the ""ALL"" IS GREAT..
this place has a lot of everything..heck..even a Starbucks!!!!wow!!!!

One of the bigger casino in Reno. Lots of penny machines, so if you are a casual player wanting to spend like $20 to watch some crazy colors, you are free to do so. There is a small cinema and a family fun center with arcade in the spa level. And food, of course. You can potentially spend your whole vacation in the building if you want. The pool area is still under construction at the end of Oct 2016, so make note of that if you plan to swim.

Beautiful hotel. My room was very clean and smelled wonderful. Service was great. Pool area was clean and beautiful. Had a great time here and definitely will be coming back.

It seems like it would be a great place, but falls short in every way. The games are set to allow only the highest tiers of betting, their rewards program grants you no benefits until you have spent a lot of money already, and even then they are far inferior to other offerings in the immediate vicinity.

The renovation work here is amazing. It has changed so much over the last few years. However, despite enormous parking lots, this place often has insufficient parking due to special events or you have to park super far away to get inside. Also, I dislike the antigun signage.

Personally, this is one of my favorite places to go to when I visit Reno, mainly because of all the activities they have to do. I'm too young to gamble and dont stay in the rooms, but whenever we come to bowl, go to the arcade, or watch movies, it is always a blast.

like the food like the people just love the place the rooms are nice it s just a fun place to hang out after work

Food at the cafe was good. Huge portion and the hash browns were extra crispy. Clam chowder was also amazing.

I went to visit my son. This place was awesome. Great service. Had a great time. Will definitely be going back.

Very nice resort and casino. I didn't have to leave the resort for anything. Everything I needed and more was there. From Starbuck's and California Pizza Kitchen, to fine dining and a buffet. For entertainment they have a bowling alley and they even have their own night club.
Everything all under one roof.
The rooms are nice and clean, the only thing
I found off putting was the staff. There didn't seem to be a customer priority attitude. It was more like; let me help you as quick as possible so I can get back to my task.

The afternoon of 07/21/2020 we had a terrible experience at the antique shop downtown. NO ONE should ever shop there. So when we arrived at the mall area for the Grand Sierra we were fired up. The gaurd asked us to put on masks. I explained I have lung damage and at my doctor's office the mask caused enough issues I have to have lung xrays. She was kind and asked me to try on a specific mask. It worked. I could breath. They didn't charge me for it. She is a wonderful person who really cared that I might not be able to wear a mask. Thank you.

Room was newly remodeled which was nice but the service (Room, cafe, cocktail waitresses) etc was the worst we have ever had. We were told it was because of staffing shortage.

Atmosphere is great. Didn't realize there was a resort fee. They could have been clearer on that.

Nice location with lots of options for entertainment!! Would like to return and give it another go! The pool was packed every day, but on the plus side they have the 21 and over section... lots of food options (their buffet - yummy), shopping and recreation - bowling, movies etc. GIVE IT A WHIRL! Lots of families and big groups, along with singles and couples. There is something for everyone.

I only picked up a rider from the valet. So I'm not sure why I'm being surveyed... But the pick up was great! 5-stars

I don't gamble much but feel comfortable playing here. The bar tenders are really nice and helpful.

There is a large arcade for the little kids and bowling alley for the older kids that aren't old enough to be in the gambling area. Little shops and a spa downstairs.

The Cantina is a great restaurant inside the hotel if you are looking for a low cost option for dinner and don't want to stuff yourself at the buffet. There are high end restaurants too, but haven't tried going there yet.

I haven't gone in the pool area but it looks real nice. They have a golf driving range that you try to hit islands with targets on in a pond. There is a small go cart track outside that I need to get to one day.

There is something for everyone to do here even if you aren't all into gambling.

There's so much different activities happening on the property like movie theaters and clubs and bars gambling and stores and shopping and many more. The room that they provided me was really good too and beautiful look from the window

GSR is a really nice resort. We loved their new ice skating rink during the winter. They have a bowling alley, movie theater, giant arcade, golf and an amazing pool. Reno Tahoe Comedy Club is at the bar inside of Lex nightclub on Friday nights and is really funny. I saw Grandma Lee from America's Got Talent and Kevin Farley. The showroom is also very well done, I've seen several amazing shows there. We also tried the recently opened Cailfornia Pizza Kitchen, food was outstanding. And of course they have all the table games and slots you could ask for. Employees are very friendly.

Outstanding! Wow! This hotel resort is like a cruise ship, it offers just about everything. Here's just a few: a gym, beauty salon, movie theater, bowling alley, restaurants, bars, stores and more. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean even the small stuff most hotels over look. The pools are heated and huge. They have an infinity pool for over 21. I would stay here again.

Fantastic resort! I go every year for BLFC and they make it a wonderful experience. They treat us silly furries with nothing but kindness!

If you want to loose your money great place to leave it

Great location and excellent accommodations right in the center of Reno. What's not to like?

Crystal lounge had live music and decent priced drinks. Then had some food downstairs at Johnny Rocket's so good.

I had family stay here a few weeks ago(paid for there Room) and I really liked how the room was clean and comfy some place id like to stay, so I received a free 2night stay so we jumped on it. We checked in on Sunday and everything went smooth even checked in early. But the longer we were in the room the more stuff I noticed. We were on the Casino floor in a smoking room. It felt like to me that if you are paying for your room it'll be up to par but if its a Comped room it doesn't matter if it's up to par or not! We wont be staying here again.

I've stayed at this hotel for a convention the last several years and always have an absolute blast, and no doubt is that because of the venue being the GSR. The event space is varied and spacious, there are tons of built in amenities and things to do, dining options, a Walmart within walking distance, and a beautiful new pool area. The rooms have always been very nice in my experience, especially considering the price point. I always look forward to coming back, I can't imagine the convention without the GSR.

The room was good decent size the only downside was no bathtub only a stand up shower and with my OCD tendencies even a few items on the small surfaces made it seem cluttered. The hotel staff is very very accommodating, the room with a view also came with some railroad tracks and right in the direction of the airplane flight plan

Lovely hotel. Pricey food though and the 24 hour cafe is no longer 24 hours. But beds are comfortable and downtown Reno is walking distance.

Extremely Gappy to see some of the changes in the RV Park. Much more Security presence, the new fence along the river, new tile going into restrooms, etc. Nice to see the same Staff working the RV Office, consistency there is appreciated. We were worried how the changes would affect the RV Park but it is changing for the better !! Great Job.

They don't do problem resolution well. Not customer service orientated

Great spacious rooms with a newly renovated casino. The hotel staff is all friendly and accommodating.

Best place in Reno hands down to visit. Lots to do and a good variety of games.

I wish they paid attention to my drink a quarter as much as my mask

Love it the place has a good ora around it and just has a good time i tend to go there for a convention that happens in it and its been so far really good tho if I'm honest the room prices are a little extreme I'm not trying to sound picky but i do find the room princes just to be a tad bit over but other then that im co tent with this place and look forward to this year convention ^^

The hotel was great and had many great accommodations.. only gave 4 Stars because of the service at the Cafe...it was really bad .. many open seats but took awhile to get seated.. the person that asked for our drinks saw that we dropped a utensil but he never replaced it.. I even asked him for a straw but I never received one till I asked the waiter.. and he gave me a straw that was dirty covered with brown food sauce or something and the end of the paper on the straw was covered in ink or something black and dirty.. the waiter only took our order and didn't see him till we asked for the bill.. I even tried to flag down the hostess and she clearly saw me flag her down when she was directing customers to the table so I thought she would come back to address my concern but she just ignored me.. I even called out to her but i guess she couldn't hear me..

Great for kids, but this is a casino hotel. So plus side are plenty of eating options, arcade and bowling for kids, relatively cheap, good pool. Downsides : cigarette smoke everywhere, 30 minute lines to the Starbucks, morning is crowded everywhere.

Fantastic customer service from everyone who works there. Sincere smiles and cheerful treating you like family. Awesome rooms and the coffee shop has the best food and coffee ever with huge amounts of food on your plate. Fun casino and if you drink drinks are excellent. Definitely will return frequently. I don't understand why people say housekeeping wasn't great because I found housekeeping to be excellent.

Wonderful arcade experience. Good for families. Wish there were more dining options. Wait times even mid day during the week can exceed 40 minutes to even be seated.

This was the second time that I went with my wife over there. Stayed at the place Wednesday through Friday. The last time I was there was 10 years ago and the place has dramatically improved. The room was nice and comfortable. Some of the reviews had comments about their cleanliness but our room was nice and clean. The whole place is very well run and they were a lot of employees to help you. We went into the Grand Buffet and it was good. The servers were friendly and kept coming back to ask us if we needed something and also promptly cleaned our table. The only thing that I found a bit surprising as I wanted to get a paperback and asked a couple of employees and was told that they did not sell any kind of books. We will definitely come back as we enjoyed our stay.

Great atmosphere!! Only problem I find is the cocktail waitresses are choosy about who they bring drinks too. Kills the whole vibe.

They never built the "amazing indoor pool" they planned 5 or so years ago. They also wanted us to move when we had concerns about the heavy pot smoke coming from across the hall. The new outdoor pool renovation is pretty cool tho...

Not really impressed. Room was dirty. However most of the staff was nice and friendly. The spa was really amazing. Will not stay at this resort again.

The very last visit was pleasant.And the service lady wasn't rude like twice before.Enjoyed that visit.

Nice hotel. Got a free upgraded room which was really nice. Lots to do here. Large Casino just not spuer Hugh. Main negative was pool area. No shade to be found anywhere. No trees, over-hangs. Pool was mostly all kids and giant. No special pool area stuff like a waterslide or river pool, beach or wave.

First time visiting and we can't wait to go back. So much to do, and so little time.

Security needs to understand if a someone is caring a backpack it could be being used as a purse. Asking my husband to turn in his backpack into the bell desk was ridiculous. He takes his backpack this way we can carry our jackets and extra water to stay hydrated. It's his purse basically. Some women's purses are much larger than my husband's backpack. We come and stay here many times and we even renewed our wedding vows here last year. We really did expect this treatment from GSR. Also, please add steak and eggs to your menu that can be order anytime of day. It's a bummer that by the time we get down to eat @12noon to the cafe the steak and eggs are no longer available to order.

The rooms are great, the food was good and the dealers are amazing!

I enjoyed the casino. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The bowling alley was lots of fun. Everything I've seen so far has been very nice and well kept. Only issue I had was checking in with my dog. The first room smelt horribly like dog urine. Called the front desk and it was no issue to get another room. Had no problem with the second room. Luna my tiny chihuahua got a complimentary food&water dish thanks to the GSR. More than a few pet areas on the grounds.

My room was great, updated decor,very comfortable bed and pillows.

We got a couple free nights for being player club members, and it was great! We were given a corner room, so it was huge! The room was clean, warm and the bed was comfortable! Definitely the nice place to stay in Reno!

I had a really good experience! My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I felt like the hotel staff made an effort to take care of any concerns. I would stay there again.
