I was so excited that my husband surprised me with a getaway weekend, our first since having our 1 year old daughter. He wanted to take me to the Renaissance because I always talked about how it looked like a castle. We went to the one in Tulsa and the manager s first words to my husband was, So how old are we today? I was surprised as I am well over the age of 21 and felt that was a rude and irrelevant question. She then proceeded to tell us she would not be able to give us a room though we had been told there were rooms available upon arriving. We had cash and were told we needed a credit card. My bank had to replace mine due to the chip going out and I was currently waiting on my new card to arrive so we asked if family could call and put their credit card on file. The man at the desk before the manager had come out had informed us that the hotel management could send a credit card authorization form to family and that would allow an over the phone payment. We had driven all the way from Shawnee. The manager revoked this offer only after the transaction was now considered pending.
We had to leave without a room, and with our money tied up to a pending transaction that can t be fixed as it is the weekend, with no apology for revoking the agreement. The manager was rude and unsympathetic. I am an accounting supervisor for a nonprofit and my husband is a foreman of a construction company we both felt as if we were being treated as if we didn t belong there or being stereotyped. I am sad that this was my first and now last experience with a hotel I ve always wanted to stay in.

Trying to get coffee in the morning is cumbersome. The hotel is nice, the rooms feel a bit dated. I was told on the phone by the front desk, we had a double bed, but did not get one upon arrival. I have stayed here many times, and over all it is great. Fruit water in the afternoon and a very nice lobby.

Purchased 2 Queen beds got one King. Good thing it was family and we didn t mind snuggling. Gave us a rollaway and a day later we are still waiting on the covers, that family member got to freeze all night. Had 2 towels for 4 guests. Requested more told they were coming up. Called back 30 mins later and told they had no towels and housekeeping wasn t in. So no housekeeping at 630 or again at 700. Finally got a towel at 730. The shower pull did not work so water only dribbles from the shower head and the faucet. Called for maintenance told they were not in yet. After having to explain the story 3x cause the person on the other end kept talking to someone in the background and had me continue to repeat myself cause he didn t catch that . So it was a Spit bath for everyone!!! Oh then maintenance shows for a clogged drain! So I guess guest services was right he didn t catch that! Ice machine on our level did not work either. Feeling annoyed!

Easy to get to. Great location with alot to do around it. Very clean and beautiful inside. I can't comment on the rooms as I was there for a convention but I was impressed with what I seen.

I recently stayed one night. I reserved a suite with two double beds and balcony 7th floor and up for a certain price. Upon arrival they could not find my reservation. I was told that I would be getting free internet for my troubles, yet I just looked and was over charged. So apparently they lied about that. Customer service was hit and miss. Once my reservation was made, it went downhill from that. Didn't get the correct room that I played for and was charged for something I was told I would get free because of the hard process I went through to even get checked in. Rooms are fairly clean, a little out dated. Huge hotel with many amenities.

Attended a Banquet at the hotel. Chicken tasted dry and service was extremely lacking. My wife had to go to the server's station to get refills for our drinks. Iced tea tasted like coffee.

Beautiful inside and out! We went for our Beep Baseball World Series Banquet. Food and service was excellent! Highly recommend. Most of the teams stayed there and rooms were beautiful! Access to main roads. Clean and safe.

I never leave reviews but this was terrible. Terrible customer service. Not helpful in any way. We needed to check in for a wedding and we are out of town and werent going to let us check in until 4pm. We talked to someone else in the wedding party and they were able to check in at 1015. We lost some keys and called the next day, they told us to check the website, instead of just checking themselves. They charged us twice when we got checked in and charged the wrong card, so we had to wait for that money to come back to our card, but like I said we are in for a wedding and needed that money. And they didnt want to give us a receipt, showing that we were charged twice. They werent helpful in any sense. Not attentive in any sense, even before we got there. The only person that was great was the cleaning lady we talked to while she cleaned our room.

We really loved the ambiance of this hotel. The rooms were nice too. The only things I could really complain about are that there was no hot tub in the pool area, which was odd for any hotel, especially at this price range (however there was a sauna which was different). Also we asked for a balcony room and the only thing it overlooked was the roof of the 1 story part of the building, which was disappointing.
However, when we were in a pinch and my friend went into early labor just a couple hours after checking in and we had to drive back to Arkansas, they were nice enough to let us check out and refund us so we could reschedule our trip. Because of that, when we do we will absolutely choose the Renaissance again. Good customer service goes a very long way and we were very impressed.

I am very unsatisfied with the way things were handled at this hotel! We were there for a company Christmas party and spent an extreme amount of money and they would not even keep the bar open past midnight when there were over 80 people sitting there in the bar area, they did not get our room right told us that we did not have a reservation when we had made a reservation two months in advance! This is just the tip of all the terrible things that happened with our stay!

My hubby's company had their Christmas party here. It was nice. The waiters were professional, polite and efficient. The bathrooms were very clean. We won a free night at the hotel, I can't wait to go!

Great hotel, but there was a group of people in the common area downstairs being loud until after 1am. We could not sleep until after they had let. The hotel staff should have done something about it.

Pro: Liked the television set up, shower pressure was good. Con: Second floor room... Terrible view from the balcony, you were looking at the roof over the pool. No electricity on one side of the room. Loud... You could hear everything outside of the room.

20 years ago, this was probably a pretty nice hotel, but it needs maintenance in order to justify the $185.00+ price tag. The bathtub isn't caulked all the way around, nor does it or the sink drain properly. The sign above the thermostat says that if you set it below 65 degrees, the heat will come on. Really? Problem is that it won't even get to 65 degrees. So, after a miserable night of sleep because we were constantly waking up to kick the covers off, I went to Home Depot and bought a portable indoor thermometer, which showed that the in-room temp never got below 68 degrees. Oh, and you have to pay forvin-room wifi, and to park in their suburban parking lot. Why?

We had to cancel due to illness. And hotel refused reservation person basically said despite calling over 24 hours prior to checkin we could not cancel. In order to cancel our stay we would ve had to cancel 3 days ago. I m sorry my reservation were not for the week they were for the weekend and I gave them plenty of notice. For the poor professionalism, business, etc. $270 dollars is a lot of money for us and I m sad to not get the special weekend with my hubby, but instead I get to care for him at home. I m furious with this company and will make it known on every possible trip advisory page. I have contacted my bank already and have spoke to a couple more people.

Comfortable and clean rooms, bit dated but we enjoyed our stay. The bar there was fine when there wasn't a crowd, but later service there was slow and the glasses smelled like they had been washed or dried with a mildew towel. So the bar I would give a two star. Restaurant for breakfast was great and so was our waiter.

Really good service for our event. I noticed a lot of the furniture is no longer there in the front lobby areas and the carpet is scraggly at the edges in the seams in the middle of floor. Not sure what's going on but it looks to be going downhill a little bit. However, it does still look good when you walk in the door.
