I would like to say it gives me no delight to give this place one star. However, my last visit was one of the worst experiences ever in the establishment. I found a troubling scene in my room which clearly showed my room was not completely cleaned and inspected. I Brought it to the attention of the manager and never followed up as promised. I suggest anyone who visits here to double check the cleanliness of rooms and robes.

For a special night out, The Phoenician is hard to beat. There are server places to choose from, depending on your mood. The IL Terrazzo is a contemporary Italian restaurant, while J&G Steakhouse is a bit more casual. For a quick lunch, try the 19th Hole. It is not open year around, so you need to call ahead.

The spa treatment (package) was a birthday gift from my daughter...it was actually first time visiting a spa and they made a lasting impression. From the moment you walk in you're greeted by very friendly staff. Since it was my first visit, they gave me tour of the facility. The ambience is amazing. Everything there screams relaxation. During the massages, facial, etc...even in the lounge area there's relaxing music. Between the facial, full body massage, and hot/cold pedicure with stones I left feeling amazing. Even the pasta they serve was great. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a spa treatment.

I spent a day at the newly their remodeled spa yesterday. It was beyond 5 star! Being a local, I have gone to this spa since it opened 20+ years ago and it was always was one of my favorites. What they created is a world class spa. It ticks all the boxes in what you would want in a spa: steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, rooftop pool with delicious food and impeccable service, quiet room where you can lay down and nap or just relax, nuts, chocolate, tea, ice water complimentary in the relaxation room, huge spaces beautifully decorated and giving you a feeling of relaxation and serenity. I had the Salt Stone treatment and it was over the top. For lunch I had the vegetarian kabob, it was delicious and enough for 2 people. The only thing missing is clocks! I never knew what time it was and always needed to look at my iphone so I wouldn't miss my treatment time. If you go, plan to spend the day and enjoy all the amenities.

This is manly for the manager to read. I stayed here with my family for 3 nights and we loved it! Now at the last night we here was one specific person that stood out. His name was Arturo at the Restaurant in the East part of the hotel I believe. This was on the 23.7.2019 at about 10:30. He was so kind and helpful and there was no reason to give him a bad review or dislike him. I hope this review was helpful and hope that Arturo at the Restaurant comes far in this hotel. Thank you.

This location is totally remodeled and updated, it's conveniently located close to everything. It includes free quality breakfast which saves time when your busy trying the do so many things in one day. The front staff is very helpful Ulisses went beyond giving us tips and suggestions as first timers in The Phoenician, a Luxury Collection Resort, Scottsdale. We will definitely be back. One thing that is a problem is parking if you rent a car they charge 30 for overnight, so we circled around looking for meters that are right outside and only paid an hour in the morning. They have a coffee and tea stand all day which is a nice treat. Thank you guys!

We are currently staying at The Residences at The Phoenician for five nights. Our residence is absolutely GORGEOUS. We even have our own plunge pool and hot tub! We have our own kitchen and living space, which is perfect when traveling with our baby. We've had breakfast at The Phoenician, which was wonderful. The service here has been impeccable. We could not recommend The Residences at The Phoenician more highly!!

The afternoon tea is great, the price is reasonable and the ladies that work there are super nice and welcoming. There is a large selection of finger sandwiches and desserts and they usually offer you one of everything and even seconds of the sandwiches. I always go when I come to town.

One of the best hotel/resort that I have stayed in. From the moment my family and I entered the hotel to check in, we were greeted by the concierge lady. She was so excited to serve our little ones. The hotel offered tremendous amount of activities for children. The pool is large. The room is quite spacious. It's 5-star all around.

I recently stayed at the Phoenician back in December of '16, with my company's Annual Meetings... I was blown away by the all around service. From the extra little things provided by the House-Keeping Staff when I needed a few things I'd lost, that the airlines threw out before boarding, to the chauffeured car service at 5am & 5:30am with a smile and great attitude! The Front Desk Staff was exceptionally accommodating with all the requests I had... And I'm a pain in the butt! LOL!
I was also very impressed with the selection of cigars in the hotel bar. The beautiful and serene setting of the out door patio over-looking the Phoenix skyline at night was amazing, absolutely a revitalizing stay! Grant it, I'm not accustomed to such daily attentiveness to my needs at this caliber of service in my everyday life, but I could sure get use to it....!!!! To the Phoenician Owners and Staff, Thank you for the perfect few days in Scottsdale.

The Phoenician has always been a 5 star resort, which we have enjoyed for years, but they have managed to reach even higher. Over the past couple years they have been involved in a major renovation. The resort is spectacular! The recently completed spa and gym are truly world class. I look forward to the remodeled golf course later this year. We live in Sedona and frequently travel to Scottsdale. The Phoenician is our home away from home.

Horrible ! We can hear the neighbors shouting and relaxing in their room all night, a nightmare knowing that as one is going to spend the night as a family to a "luxury hotel", they made us go up an old elevator and where it just happens the staff because their elevators did not work, a total nightmare since we have 3 children 1 baby, luggage and strollers, we were not warned that the hotel was under renovation and only has an open pool that is in poor condition, better go to a motel any who lose their diner, horrible experience

This course offers elevation changes that offer great views of the city. The upkeep and service of the course are top notch. The Phoenician can be expensive but during the summer they have deals that are difficult to turn down.

Upscale resort at the foot of Camelback mountain. All of the staff was extremely professional and courteous at all times. Any thing you needed was just a phone call away. Rooms were very clean and very well maintained. Highly recommend this resort.

It's unfortunate that I have to do this but I need your help in sharing this message.

I'll start by stating I attached 3 photos that are pending approval. The photos are of the patio attached to the room I book at the Phoenician back in August. If approved I encourage you look for the images. I'll attempt to describe them below.

Imagine having a casual phone call in the middle of the night walking barefoot along your patio. Then in the morning when you retrace your steps you notice this filth. I say filth because my first assumption was not rodent droppings. Why are on earth would there be significant rodent droppings at a high quality resort? No, surely not rodent droppings.

I asked for second opinions from peers that were on the women's retreat that brought us Scottsdale what they thought of the filth. The consensus was "unspecified rodent droppings".

Upon checkout of our 2-night stay I noted the droppings, showing these same pictures to the receptionist at checkout. With the manager being off-site for the day they were unable to offer any sort of compensation, but referred us to email management. Afterwards questioning to the point of chastise why we didn't bring up the matter beforehand. (A workshop-filled retreat and the idealistic assumption that room service would include some type of evaluation of the patio were reason, but I digress.)

It is now October and management has not offered any sort of amends or compensation. In fact, their response rejects that the droppings came from a rodent but debris from a tree...you know the tree on the opposite side of the large cement wall that obstructs the view of trees.

I'm not in a habit of complaining. And I certainly don't appreciate being treated like a fool. The 5 women that witnessed the droppings on site, each an educated, cultured professional. One of the women works for another hotel chain that empowered me to speak up ensuring that most hotels attempt to rectify, not shame.

If you end up visiting the Phoenician Resort after this experience I suggest before you rest your head after a day of traveling, before you go eat because you may not have eaten all day, before you check in at whatever conference or event brought you to Scottsdale that you comb every inch of your room (both inside and out) because if you don't management will hold it against you.

... Also concerning is the unconfirmed tree-rodent (new species) infestation on garden level floors. I said "unconfirmed" because now I have to bring a lawyer into the situation. I'm no tree debris scientist, but wouldn't tree debris also be closer to the edge of a patio?

Very nice location and nice view of mountain making this luxury hotel more delightful. Near from airport . It has a golf club by it's own collection. Very nice room and room service making you a perfect match for this hotel.

I arrived at the pro-shop on Saturday [Sep 15, 2014] and the level of customer service was very poor. The guys in the pro-shop were very unresponsive or receptive to conversation to my general questions regarding the course [since it was my first visit] and when asked to sign up to play... the first remark I was asked if I was staying at the resort??? My answer was no that I was a resident of the area and pro-shop staff said I would need to be staying at the resort to sign up for a tee-time and use facilities... After a long awkward moment of silence, I then replied.. couldn't I just sign up for a tee-time without staying at the Star-wood resort [I'm also a GOLD MEMBER for Starwood]. Staff said "YES" then I thought to myself why would he make this so difficult and awkward for me... Overall, very poor customer service and staff [to include cart boys] were not receptive to being generally social able or courtesy. I'll take my money elsewhere and re-consider my GOLD membership with Starwood after this event.
