The location is perfect, just near Camelback mountains. They have a large beautiful pool with ambient lighting at night and a bar. I didn't stay there, just meet with someone. Would like to go and stay there for a weekend.

We came to The Phoenician for my sister-in-law's birthday this weekend for a little staycation. We had high tea and then dinner at mowry and cotton. It was wonderful. The rooms were so nice and the food was phenomenal. Can't wait to come here again.

Incredible resort! The staff has been exceptional. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Huge bathtub and a separate walkin shower. There are so many amenities and not enough time to enjoy them. Come, stay a week, rest, relax, and enjoy. This place is exactly what I needed! Now, time for the water slides, an afternoon yoga session, then lunch at one of the several on grounds restaurants.

The hostess forgot to put in my dinner order and the length of time to get the food to the second time around seemed to take forever. Then, it wasn't even that good. Consider me Unimpressed.

An amazing resort in Scottsdale. Great service. Well kept. Great golfing. Rooms and suites nice and updated. The spa is spectacular. Family friend and plenty of pool areas. It's a Marriott property and luxury collection. Easy access to Camelback Mountain hiking trail.

I love love love this places food but was a little disappointed when we went and there was a bunch of construction because I love the vibe that this place gives off. The menu is amazing. If you like beets and goat cheese do the salad before dinner. Love it! Also the patio off of the restaurant is very enjoyable and romantic.

Staff was top notch and very pleasant. Elevators have no controls, but do have touch screens for some reason. No clear smoking areas. Couldn't find ashtrays, so there were cigarette butts on the ground.

All hotels and resorts should aspire to The Phoenician's standards. While I could go on and on with my raves, by far the best part of the place was the staff, many of whom have been working there for decades. Happy employees really help shape a happy environment, and I cannot wait to return.

Went to afternoon tea at the Phoenician. There newly renovated area is more modern with a more open feel in the tea area. The staff is always wonderful. Wendy, one of the tea servers, had been working her for years and she is amazing. Always helpful and makes it a point to come say hello. The whole staff is always very friendly and makes you feel so special. Totally worth the money and experience!

The views are outstanding and the pool experience was superb. We ate pool side and I had the shrimp which was seasoned just right. He got the burger and it was so delicious I had some! It was cooked perfect! The evening ended with a fantastic 30oz wagyu tomahawk steak at J&G Steak. We will be back again!

Enjoyed my stay. Comfortable and quiet room with spacious bathroom. Turndown service only on request. Gym is large and well equipped (although Pelwton bike didn't really work as couldn't hear any sound through earphones). Breakfast buffet was excellent.

One of the best resort hotels in Scottsdale.

One of the best resort hotels in Scottsdale.
I am surprised to have created such a luxurious resort in the desert. There are swimming pools and fountains even though the water is precious, followed by golf courses that are green.
The restaurant has excellent service and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The pool is large and a large gym was newly established.
Although it is not announced at the hotel, the cactus garden on the back is also wonderful.
The bathtub is big but not deep.

The elevators were the only reason as to why I was here. They seem reliable and are safe enough that if you open the doors just half an inch the elevator will do an emergency stop. I also tested this while riding on top of them, testing the hoistway doors as well. The keyswitches work fine too so don t worry about someone using a penny to gain access to something they shouldn t. I ll give these elevators (main building) a 7.5 out of 10. Could be better in quality and safety, but come on. They get you from floor to floor easily, that s all you basically need. :-)

Stayed here with a large group for a work trip. I was extremely impressed with this beautiful resort. The rooms and space were gorgeous, the staff was professional and friendly. Everything we requested we received with a smile. I had the chance to visit the spa and thoroughly enjoyed it.

4 days into a 6 day stay, and I have a few observations. First of all; this place is beautiful, the pool is nice, and the surroundings are great. Now for the constructive criticism... there are no water bottle filling stations. Instead they have plastic water bottles everywhere. I go to the gym twice a day, and am disgusted by the lack of places to fill my bottle. Yes, they provide bottled water, but it's the extra cheap kind that leaves a funny plastic taste in your mouth. I can't think of any respectable facilities that haven't added water bottle fill stations in the last five years. In this regard, the Phoenician is a bit behind the times.

Beautiful rooms with big bathrooms. Just couldn't get the temperature right - very breezy in the room... And spa was not fully open... No amenities. Otherwise great experience! Excellent staff and service! Pools were warm and was walking distance to Camelback mountain. Beautiful room views.

This was a good stay during covid. Masks required thru resort however flexible with no masks by pool and while dining. We also didn t wear one when walking/hiking and in areas with no other people. Not crowded at all. Able to easily get pool chairs, seated at restaurants without wait. Some areas of the hotel were run down and a bit dirty. Someone left wine glasses sitting in our hallway for 3 days. Staff was very friendly. They really acknowledge if you are there for a special occasion. We went for our anniversary. Some of my favorite staff is Glenn (front desk)and Art (Tavern Waiter). The pool staff was just eh. But the drinks were good. Your room choice is critical. We were in a far building from the amenities with a Mountain View. Pool view is definitely a better choice. The room itself isnt very grand. Overall a good stay. Would return when everything is open.

Do not be misled by the front desk. The entire property is still under complete construction as of 10/20/2017. It looks like it will be another year or two before it will become a relaxing place to vacation. Very unfortunate, we were led to believe everything except the spa was complete. Not even close to being accurate.

This is a beautiful hotel with great services. The premises are well-maintained and the employees go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed.

Here's an example - When I was there, the hotel was undergoing some renovations. Because of this, they closed off the main exit temporarily. When I asked one of the (very well-dressed) employees where the new exit was, rather than point me in the direction, she took me there.

I know, it sounds simple, but these are the kinds of things that make a huge difference. And these are the little things that I've experienced in many ways during my stay.

Whatever they're doing in their employee training, they are getting it right.

I have been staying at the Phoenician since 1999 off and on. I use to travel from Washington State to Phoenix for quality relaxation. I would like to say that I have never stayed at a nicer Resort. I have lived in Scottsdale and Phoenix since 2005 and I still visit the hotel frequently for Sunday brunch and always bring out of town guests as well. Everyone that I have brought has amazed at the beauty of this fantastic Resort. I rated at 10 stars.

Gorgeous Resort! Really lovely layout. Amenities are great! Ambience was outstanding. However two things that could be improved. First the toiletries that they supply smell horrible, especially if you re a woman. It has such strong manly scent and it s not that great, especially with the dry heat and cracky skin that you get during your time at the pool. Lastly the drinks at the pool are horrible! They are so overpriced but that wasn t the problem. For the amount you pay you would think that the drinks would be fresh or good tasting to say the least, they were so awful. Full of sour mix and lime juice, they really need to improve them. I mixed around to see if I could find a good one, they were all the same. I even got the most expensive one which was the prickly pear margarita, it was the worst one. But I do have to say the bartender was very nice enough to make me a special made drink that I asked for. The resort needs to re-evaluate their drink mixology for cocktails. Everything else was great!

Even after their remodeling, they are still out of date wry today's new hospitality styles. Lobby and lobby bar do not give off the wow factor at all. Place still looks tired and outdated with views of the mountains, yes, but every view is looking over a roof or rooftop equipment or just looking at the rooms, which give the appearance of a compound like a concrete fort. Not impressed at all, just not a good vibe throughout the facility.
Much better options in the same local. IE: Hyatt Gainy Ranch, now that's a property with a wow factor everywhere you go throughout.

Very nice rooms, great staff, beautiful property. At the moment there is a large construction/renovation project going on which has many areas inaccessible or closed, getting around very inconvenient and some noisy bits during the day. I would love to visit again when the project is complete. I understand the need for renovation and appreciate keeping the property up, but let's be honest, it does have an impact on the experience.

We visited and used their spa services. Despite being under renovation, the ambiance that they set up was fabulous. Not to mention the staff and the actual massages received were wonderful. We absolutely would consider revisiting once their renovations are complete.
