I would say location is the only good thing about this hotel. The rooms were very dated and they charge an arm and a leg and charge for self parking.. I had to check out of this hotel and go to another one because I got tired of being nickel and dimed.

They just went through a tremendous remodel and it shows. The hotel's lobby and spa look amazing. Service is always on point here. Robert behind the bar at J & G was great addition. Also a personal favorite vantage point for 4th of July Fireworks!

My girl friend booked the room and was running late. I asked front desk if they could hold my bag and i would wait at the pool. They said no problem so i went to the pool. I ordered a beer and she said room number plaese. I explained i havent checked in. She said well we have strick rules then asked for the last name. I gave it and she said there is no reservation under that name! Then said dont worry about and i paid cash. I think this was handled poorly by pool bar tender. I checked with front desk and they confirmed the reservation. Did not feel welcome and there are a lot of resorts to pick from. This will be my last stay.

Highly recommended American specialty resort in the desert. The location is uniquely located southeast of Cammelback Rock. The overall plan includes not only a stunning swimming pool, but also a gym, playground, and outdoor bike paths. The design and landscape of the room and balcony, the moving lines and walkways of the underground parking lot all reflect the characteristics of the harmonious terrain in the desert. In addition, restaurants and surrounding communities, attractions and food are amazing places to travel!

Location is surreal, surrounded by picturesque views of sand and cacti. The staff was very attentive and accommodating, and the catering for the event I attended was nothing short of gourmet. The roo.s are clean and modern. I highly recommend this venue for both professional events and overnight stays.

Other than having to get up and ask to be waited on our ask for a menu at the restaurant bar, the staff was super friendly, respectful and top notch. The entire resort overall was amazing!

The service is really top notch at this resort. We especially enjoy Rich who works by the pool who is always great to us when we visit. And John and Kirsten who bartend at the Thirsty Camel.

The epitome of luxury!!

The epitome of luxury!!

The Phoenician and their amazing Guest Experience Team, specifically Shanielle Tara Jones, set the highest standards of luxury I ve ever seen. The facilities are BRAND new. The food is greeatttt, and the rooms are super spacious. Belinda from the BRAND NEW fitness center does an outstanding job at making sure everyone is taken care of. Definitely will be back.

Just returned from the best getaway! Goodness the Phoenician surely doesn t disappoint! I have been to very few places that have the customer service skills these ladies and gents shower you with, if you have a problem they have a solution! In fact you don t even have to have a problem and they still make you feel like they ve came up with a solution. My husband and I went out for a hike one morning, we returned and while walking down the hallway to our room the kindest man said mam, can I get you some ice and a few bottles of water
then offered to deliver it to our room. Seriously, we stayed here for 5 days and experienced this kind of service multiple times a day. The rooms are clean, the food was great, accommodations couldn t be beat, the views were amazing and you already know how I feel about the service. Just book your stay and enjoy!

We had tea. It was excellent, as usual. We have been coming here for over 15 years. Wanda, our waitress is a gem, and you are lucky if you get a chance to be served by her!! Unfortunately, we were INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED in the new modern look of the tea room. All the charm was sucked away by the new sleek look. It would have been nice if they could have kept a corner of this vast space, true to the heritage of high tea. Lastly, the new seating is incredibly uncomfortable!

Tea time at the Phoenician is that special treat for my wife. I make the reservation and place it in her google calendar. Not long after a surprise kiss comes back in my direction. Day of the reservation involves getting cleaned up and dressed up. Slacks, nice polo and my Allen Edmond dress shoes. She goes all in. Flowing dress, full makeup and jewels. Hit the Phoenix art museum for a couple hours then it's off to tea time. We arrive to be seated by the professional friendly staff. Choose our teas from the menu. I love the variety of finger sandwiches. Sipping tea and soaking in the atmosphere while pianist plays for our pleasure. When you had your fill of finger sandwiches plating is taken away. Scones arrive on new plates with devonshire cream and choice of jam. Unwinding with your significant other while viewing the beautiful landscaping through floor to ceiling windows. Then the plates are removed again while deserts are brought to the table being the final course to tea time. This is the best tea time in Arizona

It's nice. People are friendly, rooms are clean but some of the details just aren't taken care of. The towels in our room had snags and looked worn. The bottom of our room door was warped and the paint was coming off. You can tell where they changed some of the features in the bathroom because the old holes are poorly patched and are glaringly obvious.

We stayed in 5187 and ate like lunch at Mowry and Cotton. The room was exactly as advertised, very clean, quiet, and the staff was friendly. The food was delicious and the presentation tasteful.

Spectacular resort. Attended a national conference, and brought the family. Top notch service from the entire staff except the man tending the water slide. He needs a different job. Not friendly.

Came on a romantic trip for my wife and I. I booked a king suite... we checked in at 430 since check in was at 4p. With all the excitement of being at one of the best resorts in Arizona we couldn t wait to get to the room! We got to the room and it was nice got to our bed and it was a double queen bed!!! I am 6 3 and pay the extra because I wanted this to be comfortable and nice for my wife! I called and the manager said sorry nothing we can do! I asked to speak to the manager and his response was you re speaking to him! With him speaking to me rudely I kept my cool and said I needed something better. He said he has one that will be free but won t be available until 8-9p I said that was fine since we will be going to dinner. We come back 800-830ish and get a room great!! No not great non of the lights worked from the wall and A/C was off and when it s 116 degrees it s was hard to get the room cool. Here s the top of that .... I open the fridge to put my water in and it had the previous guest open, eaten, food and other items in there. Both the bell boy and hospitality guy said it was bad and apologized. I spoke with another manager because the other one left...she will very nice and calm. At this point it was 930ish and my wife was ready for bed (there goes the fun right?!) she offered to put us in a regular room and comp us $150 great but the only thing is our room on the king suite was $580 more a night (2 nights) and $150 isn t going to do anything. She said give her a moment and she will see what she can do...

She calls back and gets us into a presidential suite!! Awesome never been so I said that s great!! Takes the comp away from me and I said ok? Get to the room and yup QUEEN BEDS! And I m the master suite queen! At this point it s 10-1030 and we are just over it and said forget it last time we are here just enjoy the spa...

Spent $1300 at the spa tipped the pool boy $100 and the nail tech $100 , bell boy $50 and took care of anyone who serviced my wife and I. Spa was great! Came back to the room at 445 to get ready for dinner and our room wasn t touched no house cleaning new towels non. Didn t call just waiting for check out .

I m so done with this place and how they can t get to an idea on how to make it right other than sorry nothing we can do! The resort isn t cheap for those who are fortunate enough to afford it but it s not about the money it s the principle and how someone who works hard for his money to enjoy things he pays for only to get the worse service! I can see if this was a motel 6 but it s one of the highest rated resorts!!! Definitely upset and hope someone from corporate will call or contact me about this!! I have pictures to prove my claims as well as video

This hotel is truly, luxury. From the lobby to the guestrooms to their NINE pools and water slide, I could have never left! Wonderful expansive views of the Valley and of Camelback mountain - this is surely a place for a wonderful getaway.

Beautiful place! I was here for a work conference for 4 days and I enjoyed every moment. The meeting rooms, the catering, the guest rooms and the activies. They did a little of everything.

The grounds were clean and well kept. The design was modern and equipped with all of the amenities you could want. Golf, fitness center, tennis courts and walking distance to Camelback Mountain for hiking.

Whether you have in-room dining, you enjoy one of the many insight restaurants or catering for your event, the food was superb. Everything was cooked to perfection and the buffet tables were always replenished.

I was here for work but could definitely see myself coming back for recreation with my family.

Although the resort has potential it fell short of satisfactory. I had booked a weekend trip with some girlfriends with intentions to relax beside the beautiful Phoenician pool as pictured on their website and have a spa day. When we arrived at the resort we found out that the pool was closed for renovations but a tennis court had been used to turn into a pool area and now this is the only pool they have to offer during renovations. I was extremely disappointed that I was not notified before hand. Also the main Spa had been closed for renovations. However another spa had been opened for renovations. Sorry but after seeing the tennis court turned into a pool for renovations I didn't want to see what the spa looked like. The staff was super apologetic but unfortunately was a too little too late. Although we still made the best of it and had a great time in Phoenix, we were still very disappointed in our hotel stay. Also there were several pictures of different restaurants the hotel was supposed to have that are also close to renovations. I definitely think this will be a great hotel to stay at but would wait till after renovation come fall 2017

The saying you get what you pay for is absolutely true. The cost is second to none and the service is second to none. We have been well traveled and this place has taken the crown jewel. We have not been to a resort that treated us the way that we were treated here. From the moment we arrived, Chelsea took great care of us. We will be returning to this resort not just again but several times over. It is a one of a kind place and we cannot speak highly enough about it. We did the couples massage and will say it was the best massage of my life. If you are trying to pinch pennies do not bother. This place isn't that and the service and food reflect this culture. The breakfast, lunch, and on site steak house was fabulous!!

One of the nicer hotels in town, this place is undergoing a renovation so check which area you will be in... The golf club restaurant, a local favorite overlooking the green, is currently closed. Great lobby and convention center facilities and easy to find on Camelback Road, the intersection where you turn in is named "phoenecian" and don't be thrown when you get stopped at the gate, they are just there to direct you to the right location, the place is big!

It is what it is...world class resort. Everything you need at your fingertips. Golf, spa, fitness, pools, food, outdoor relaxation and close to other activities. Expect to pay for what you get but you ll enjoy every minute of your stay.

We enjoyed everything about our stay here but what really made our stay special was the excellent service from the valet team right outside the entrance to the resort. From the moment we arrived to the morning we left they treated us like royalty. From Brent finding a hat for me at 6 am to Doug dropping us off for a hike then picking us up with cold water in his golf cart. These guys are customer service ninjas.

Went to the Phoenician with my niece Nancy and another friend for high tea.. wonderful! Have been there before and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a special day or time with friends.

Very comfortable rooms. Great service. I'm not a golfer but it looked like they had a nicely groomed course on the property. The food at the restaurants was very good and the bars had a good selection of booze. Real easy access to hiking trails on Camelback mountain. Would be a very posh place to stay if you are into spring training baseball.

Great experience, multiple pools which weren t crowded, despite being Labor Day weekend. They gave us a free room upgrade since we had two little kids so we were at an end room and had a balcony. Beautiful hotel, nice facilities. My only complaint is how long we had to wait for room service. Maybe 45 min for 2 desserts... but they were delicious!

Me and my fiancee went here for afternoon tea and had a great time with friends. The hotel is amazingly beautiful. Their lobby and patio is particularly nice to enjoy on a good day. Also great thing to note, compared to many other afternoon tea venues, the Phoenician offers unlimited food, desserts, and champagne with their packages!

My wife and I stayed here over the New Year weekend and our stay was even better than the last 3 or 4 times we were here. The service is professional yet not invasive. The addition of the breakfast makes this even better. Can't wait to go back. Thank you.
